Emora:

Mia was being jerked about as the large black bird flew swiftly through the air, jerking in different directions, swooping low and then getting higher again. His talons were digging into her shoulder and she tried to beat him off, but she didn't want to plummet to her death.

They were heading for the mountains... the Boarder. She could see the darkness of Arken on the other side and the dark snow clouds over the mountain. They were gaining altitude and finally the beast swooped down and onto a ledge where he opened his claws and Mia fell screaming to the ground.

The bird swooped down and landed right next to her. A black mist flew around it and it filled the air around her until she couldn't see and when it was sucked back in to where the bird had been. The bird was no longer there. Instead it was a tall pale man with long black hair and black clothes and black eyes, black lips... everything except for his skin was black.

"Who are you?" Mia asked as she got to her feet.

"Lord Raven," he said and grinned revealing sharp fanged teeth.

"What are you!?" she asked and stepped back.

"It's a matter that doesn't concern you," he said and stepped forward. "All that you need to know is... I'm hungry." With that he jumped towards Mia and she rolled to the side.

He brought around his hand to grab her and she caught his wrist and in one fluent movement flipped him on his back. "Go find some one else for dinner, it'll be safer for you," she spat, about tired of all these hungry demons.

Eslin:

Azure was flying through the cold air of the Boarder on her dark blue wings when she heard a sound that was like music to her ears. She could her the loud noise of a controversy going on somewhere close.

Finally she thought. Something interesting had to be happening. She was tired of the same boring thing, and her life was starting to get pointless.

She flew closer to the sound of angry voices. When she finally saw the source she chuckled wickedly and found a nice rock, just above the scene, from which she would have a nice view. She settled down and watched for an opening where she could cause a little mischief.

Emora:

Mia scurried and picked up a stick, turning she smacked it against the foul man's head. "I've had!" she said whacking him again. "Enough!" she said, whacking him from the other side. "Of this!" She spun around and came up, hitting him on his chin with the end of her stick. It knocked him unconscious or so she thought. She sighed, finally having a moments peace on the top of the mountain.

Eslin:

Azure watched with the delight of a child as the woman hacked the sense out of the man. Then he lay silent, and the controversy seemed to have ended as abruptly as it had begun. Displeasure painted Azure's little face. It couldn’t be over so soon.

She smiled a devious as a wicked thought sprang into her mind. She looked to the stick that the woman still had in her hand. With a few words it burst in to flame with a 'BOOM.' She smiled as the fire ate the wood. The woman would never expect that.

Casania:

Casania suddenly wakes from her light sleep. Beads of sweat covers her body. Dazzled at first, she looks around the shelter of her cave. Her stomach growls she would have to trap something soon. But it wasn't hunger that roused her. Her abillities take over. She senses a disturbance in the natural order.

"Demon! ... Magic!"

She starts to panic. Fear takes over her body. A faint glow appears in her eyes.

"No! ITS HIM! He's found me, he knows where I am!"

She senses more. She senses a woman under durress!

"Someone got in his way! He'll kill her!"

She considers running, but in spite of fear, immense pangs of guilt come over her, followed by anger. Her latest dream haunts her.

"NO! No more faces in the night, no more innocent blood on my hands!" Her eyes glow a bright blue.

She throws on her cloak and runs out of the cave. Losing all sense of ration and restraint , she uses her magic to levitate herself in the direction she senses the disturbance.

Emora:

Mia dropped the stick quickly, a look of great confusion crossing her face. "How?" she asked and looked around wondering if there were any dark mages or something lurking about. She shivered, just now realizing how cold it truly was on the mountain.

She was at the Border... the coldest place in all Heirot. If she didn't find shelter before nightfall she would be in deep trouble. But, where to go? Mountains had caves... but demons usually lurked in caves. "I'll just have to run one out," she muttered, folding her arms across her chest and shivered.

She stared over the body of the demon. He was knocked out cold for sure, but she had no idea who long he would be out cold... He could wake up anytime... depending on his strength.

Casania:

Casania levitates over the mountain. A mountain ledge comes into view. She notcies something doesn't seem right. She has a gut feeling that the situation is not the one she anticipated, but her rage blinds her clairvoyance. She regains a small capabillity for rational thought.

"I'll have to rely on my natural senses."

Feeling anxious she looks for the quick and easy solution. She notices a small out cropping 40 feet above the ledge, from which she can observe unnoticed. She quickly lands on the outcropping. Looking down she sees exactly how wrong she was. Not only was the demon not "him," but the woman appears to have beaten the thing easily with a stick!

It became clear now. She was so emotionally battered by her dream that she misinterpreted the signs. This whole fracas was none of her business. Now the only problem was getting off this mountain. Her rational thought returned, she is rightfully aprehensive of using her powers.

"They'll attract HIS attention."

She starts to climb up the mountain, but as she reaches up into a crack it crumbles under her weight. Lossing all support, she plummets. Looking death in the eye, instinct takes over. Using her telekinises, she tries to slow and direct her fall, but it's not enough. She hits the side of the mountain, knocking her unconscious. She tumbles down the mountain, landing on the ledge in front of Mia with a horrrible crack coming from her left leg.

OOC: Azure appears to be offline, should we wait for her to post?

Emora:

OOC: Yeah we can.

Mia jumps back in surprise when she saw the body of a girl land in front of her. She was shocked for a moment, too shocked to do anything. Then, she rushed forward and went to her knees, forgetting about the cold. "Are you..." she stopped talking noticing that the girl was unconscious. "Oh dear."

Now she was stuck on a freezing mountain with no safe way down before nightfall, no place to sleep, no jacket or cloak to cover her bare arms, and a hurt person with her. The out look of seeing tomorrow was becoming very bleak.

Eslin:

Azure's interest picked up when a new person arrived on the scene. If she were a kinder being she might have tried to help them. Sadly, she wasn't. Instead she looked for ways she could create chaos. An idea sprang into her head as she took in her surroundings.

Mia was right; there were demons living around here. And Azure knew she could find one in no time. She lifted into the air on her dark blue wings; it didn’t take much to lift her 3-inch body.

She soon heard a deep growl coming from a dark cave just up the slop from where the two women were. She landed in the cave unnoticed. The growl was coming from the throat of a huge wolf. Not exactly what she was hopping for, but it would do.

The wolf was chewing on a bone of some unfortunate animal. She laughed wickedly, but before the wolf had time to react she sat a fire right underneath his hindquarters. It ran out of the cave and down the slop toward the women. This would be interesting. Mad wolf plus seeming helpless women equals fun for Azure.

Casania:

Casania mind is in darkness. “Am I dead,” she wonders. Taking notice of a sharp pain in her leg, she suspects otherwise. She hears a distant female voice say “Are you…oh dear.” She concludes that voice is inquiring about her. “Alright, I’m not deceased, but where am I?” As she wonders this, her mind tingles, detecting the use of magic. “It’s the same sensation as before!”

Puzzled by her situation, she recalls what she can remember about the fall. She takes notice of the ledge beneath her. “Oh no! I landed near that woman. She’s probably a concerned traveler, most likely benevolent to someone in need. She can’t get involved! She’ll get hurt or worse! I can’t raise suspicion, and I can’t have her following me out of concern. I have to pretend to be uninjured, but first I have to regain consciousness.

“Wake up,” she commands herself, but to no avail

She tries again, “Wake up!”
Images of faces enters her head, she suddenly gets much more emotional at the thought of more innocent blood on her hands. A distinct bright blue glow emanates from underneath her eyelids.

She mentally screams, “WAKE UP!”
Her back arches and she gasps for breath. The glow in her eyes disappears, and her eyelids snap open.

Emora:

Mia stepped back involuntarily. She then put a calming hand on the person's shoulder. "Don't move your leg is badly broken, you could make it worst," she informed her with a rather stern voice that should have sent the message. Unless this woman wanted to screw her leg up so bad it had to be amputated she better now move.

"Let me help you, it's getting dark and you and I can't stay out here for long. I'm going to g-" She was cut off mid sentence by a wolf jumping at her and the new girl. Mia picked up the stick and whacked the wolf across the head so hard it sent it flying backwards into the air.

Mia was a J'ra and she specialized in pole fighting, but most of all... fighting itself. She could handle herself and protect the woman if needed. She used abilities that her grandfather had taught her about mind over matter. She cleared her mind, ignoring how much the girl could way and lifted her up. They had to find shelter soon...

Eslin:

The wolf, in a fit of rage, didn't even stop to consider the woman. It ran straight for her and lunged for her mid-section when it got close enough.

Azure clapped her hands in delight as she plopped down on her rock to watch the scene. This day was turning out to be the most exciting day she’d had in a long time.

(OCC: You don't have to wait on me to post. I'm not really very important in this thread at the moment. So you could just go on. I'll keep up.)

Emora:

Mia whirled just in time, the wolf's teach only grazing her. She lost her balance, almost falling to the ground with the girl in her arms. She caught herself, amazing enough even to herself. She kicked the wolf as hard as she could in the side and sent it tumbling down the mountain. "It had to have come from a cave around here... Let's try and find it," Mia said.

Mia was a brave and strong person, she hated giving up, she hated losing and refused to do either. If there was a friend you wanted to have it was Mia. She never would leave if the times got tuff, if anything it made her stay around. Her spunk and attitude was possibly what made her the most attractive, but it could be her lack of fear for some things.

She ascended the mountain using most of all of the strength she had to hold up the girl... She made it to the top and saw the cave up a head. "We're almost there," she whispered.

As soon as they reached the inside of the cave, to find it deserted she dropped to her knees and tried her best to sit the girl down gently. Mia sat back on her heals for a moment and looked around for something to start a fire with...

Casania:

Casania was in an imense amount of pain. Here leg was throbing, and she was imensely concerned over the girl. She's helping me even though she doesn't know me. She has no idea the danger she's putting herself in. Casania considers running away, but she realizes what this strange girl said about amputation to be true. If I get up I'll only injured myself more, and that will make herself even more cocerned and attached. The only option I have is to warn her, but I doubt it will work.

She groans, "You're risking your life for me, why? I have to warn you, I'm a vile, ruthless monster. I bring pain and suffering wherever I go and I fear that the longer you stay around me, the more you put your own life in danger. Please, I beg you, leave me here to die, the world will be a much better place for it." She cries out as the effort of talking heightens the pain from her bruised ribs. She consders asking the girl to kill her, to put her out of her misery, but she realizes that the fear of death would likely trigger her powers. The result would be she would kill her as a defense mechanism.

Emora:

Mia ignored her comment, fearing it in no way. She was concentrating on starting a fire before she herself died from the cold. Soon there was a small spark going and she blew on it to get it to grow. It might not have been a roaring fire at the moment but it would do.

"I have a habit of bringing out the best in people," she said and smiled at the girl, thinking of Teiron. When she first had met him he had been a werewolf who just wanted to eat her. The only reason he had saved her was so she could heal up and be able to run from him for his own sport. But, for some reason he had come to like her she guessed, because in the end he couldn't kill her. They were planning to travel together when the bird had picked her up...

"I don't fear you being a monster or what may come after you, I am a J'ra trained since I was a child to fight and I can handle myself," Mia said moving to her leg. "I need you to stay still, I'm not trying to hurt you... but I have to get this straight and try and put a splint on it..."

Casania:

Casania's fear grew, but she remained calm. She trusted this girl to keep this secret, but she didn't trust the girl's abillities, as power as they were to save her. She's going to try as best she can to explain the situation. "I wouldn't do that if I were you. You may be a strong fighter, but the threats to your well-being know nothing of physical limitations. Nothing of the material world can bind them, beleive me I've tried. Moreover they are like the lake behind an old, forgotten dam. One small disturbance, the equilibrium is broken and the deluge follows. I don't want to harm you, but the pain from splinting my leg would be like a battering ram to that dam."

Emora:

Mia looked at the girl. She had no idea what she was talking about. "I have to go look from something to splint the leg with," she said ignoring the comment. "If you had the will of mind you could control your power. Concentrate on blocking the pain, use your mind to tell yourself that it is not there..."

She left and walked back to the body of the knocked out man. she took his jacket from him and his shirt and picked up some strong thin sticks, walking back up to the mountain. She ripped the shirt to strands that she could tie the splint with. "Do you have a good hold over your feelings?" she asked reading to tie the first splint on.

She had watched her grandfather do this many times to those in the village who were doing unnecessary training that caused them more harm than good...

Casania:

Casania stared, troubled. I'm not explaing well enough. "I see..." She mumbles. "Its not a question of my present mental state. This power I have...it may exist inside of me...but its not part of me. I have no control over it. For a long time, I've had it in me, and no matter how hard I've tried, it comes out. It's activated by any form of emotional distress. Even if I bury this distress like you say, it will still come out." Casania suddenly has an idea. "I can see that your a good person who places her concern for others over her own well-being. But, if your heart still tugs on you over me, I promise I'll splint my own leg if you promise to stay far away while I do it. If you're still feel benevolence to me after you see the aftermath, you can stay and help me afterwards."

Emora:

"If you promis not to hurt yourself in doing so," Mia said and rose from her kneeling position. She walked towards the mouth of the cave. "I'll be outside, just take the sticks, and place them arund the leg. Tie the shreads of fabric around the sticks tightly. It will have to do until we can get down the mountain in the morning and find a healer."

Mia left the cave and stood against the wall on the outside.

Casania:

Casania listened as the girls footsteps crushed the light snow. She determines that she is waiting just outside the cave, not far enough. She shouts, "You're going to have to go down at least to ledge in order to be safe."

Emora:

Mia folded her arms, rubbing her arms and walking down towards where the man was unconcious. When she was down there she waited for the signal to come back up. She knew it probably wouldn't be an ordinary one.

Casania:

After hearing the girl walk away. She sighed deeply. After waiting a minute, she sets up the first stint so that she can set the bone with one swift motion. Taking a deep breath and putting a stick in her mouth, she sets the bone quickly. As soon as she does, a very loud scream permeats the thin forrest. She feels something deep inside her waken. The secret over her heart painfully burns. Her eyes tremble and glow a very blight blue. Blood wells up in the bottom of her eyelids and flows down her face like tears. Deadly whisps of blue magical energy flow out of her in every direction. They exit the cave and violently crash into the sparse trees, and the animals living in them. The trees begin to wither as their life force is drained out of them. Animals drop out of the trees like fruit, their eyes glazed over in absolute terror. The branches loose there color and fall off, and the animals tremble as their greatest fears enters their minds.
The animals bodies begin to disintergrate. First their fur and feathers become mangy and fall off. Then their skin melts off their muscles like melted cheese. The dead husks of the trees fall over. The animal's eye's fall out of their sockets and the rest of their flesh disintegrates. The bones become like powder. After everything dies within a fifty foot radius, the blue whisps return to Casania, leaving her catatonic in absolute fear. The last thing she feels is a slow crawling in the skin over her heart. All thats left within a 50 foot radius of the cave is the fallen dead husks of trees, and the pools of organic material and the powder of the bones of the previously living animals.

Emora:

Mia looked up quickly and saw what was happening. She was fascinated by it all. She couldn't really see anything, but a glow from where she was. When it was gone something told her that was her cue to go back up.

She looked around at the devastation and for a moment didn't now if she wanted to go in the cave or not. But, the girl needed help, and she had gone through the trouble of making sure she was far enough down the mountain not to get hurt.

She entered the cave looking around even more. The fire had gone out and the last bit of light was fading out side. She knelt down and get the wood going again.

When the fire was going she looked at the girl, noticing she was not alright at all...

Casania:

Feeling the warmth of the fire, Casania groans. "Now you see I can't be helped.... The animals I feel them inside me.... So much terror.... pain.... confused.... afraid of the unknown sensation..... humans feel that way too....."

The faces return and it takes every once of restraint to keep them from igniting her powers once again.

She sobs, and her tears mixed with the dried bloody ones from before.

Emora:

Mia felt very uncomfortable because she didn't know what to do for the girl. She took the coat, which she needed herself, but instead draped it over the girl lying on the ground so she would keep warm. She could easily get sick in her weakened condition and at the moment there was nothing wrong with herself.

She sat by the fire looking at it, she didn't think she would go to sleep because she needed to keep a watch on everything. She needed to find a weapon to. She looked around for something to resemble a staff, which she was very skilled at using...

Casania:

Suddenly, HIS voice enters her head. ~I see you!~ She immediately grows very afraid. She screams, "he knows where we are! He sensed the tremor." Not understading why, she reaches for the girl's arms. "Quickly, RUN AWAY, its.... itss coming again!" Casania's eyes begin to glow a menacing blue. She will not have enough time to get away. I have to stop it, but I don't know how!

Emora:

Mia looks up quickly when she starts to scream. Her eyes began to glow and Mia grows worried for a moment. She had a power she couldn't control... she needed help. "Concentrate on something that makes you feel strong," Mia said backing away behind a wall, just encase, but it might not help. "If you are afraid, believe in something that makes you strong that can quench the fear. Think of something horrible happening to whatever makes you afraid!"

Mia had done that all the time when she was afraid as a child. It had always worked and made her fear the thing less because it made her realize that everything was vulnerable, even the things in dreams...

"Try your hardest. It will work," her voice was comforting as if those few words could mean so much. They had hope and faith in them.

Casania:

She tried, but HE still seemed invulnerable. She tries something else. She thinks about how her mother used to comfort her at night, and it used to make all the bad things dissappear. It worked, the thought of her mother worked!

She cries again, but they're bittersweet tears. She quietly states, "My mother... so strong...she used to hug me at night when the nightmares came... everyone else, they were afraid...afraid to even look at me... but she, she loved me even though I was a monster."

She takes notice of the girl backing away from her. She smiles a painful smile, "I scare you, don't I?"

Emora:

Mia came out from behind the wall and looked at her. "Actually you don't," Mia said and sat down at the fire again as if nothing had happened. "I've been through a lot, not much scares me. If you are a dancer in a carnival you get to see your share of scary things..."

She through some twigs onto the fire and it flared up. "Lonely men is something that scares me," she replied a few images of things that had happened over the years came back. "That's about it."

Casania:

Lonely men, the word conjures up more than a few faces in her mind, but she is able to handle it. She opens up a little. "Oh i've had my fair share of them. They see me, a young girl traveling alone.... boy did they get more than they expected." She laughs a rather painful laugh.

Emora:

"Yeah, it's funny when they try and act all overpowering and you kick there ass in front of every one," she said with a smile coming to her lips. But, memories of close times came up, she ignored them and remembered the time she broke this man's nose for touching her butt. She laughed lightly. "Men can be real idiots at times... A clear sign that women are the superior sex," she said jokingly.

After a while she spoke again. "Now you get some rest... I'll keep watch and wake you if anything happens," she said kindly.

Casania:

Casania settled down. There was just one thing she had to ask before she fell asleep. "I never caught your name?"

Emora:

Mia smiled and looked up from the fire at her. "Mia, Mia Morlay," she said and through another stick into the fire. She scooted closer to keep warm. It would be cold that night and the fire would be the only thing they had to stay alive. She had to keep it going...

Night came and went and then morning came. Mia could be found standing at the mouth of the cave looking over the bleak dead landscape, it was either dead by snow or that explosion of power. She could see the trail that led down the mountain and knew that there was two options. She could go for help or try and get the girl down. The second looked the best, it would insure that the girl wasn't harmed while she was gone... She seemed to be afraid of some one.

Casania:

Casania slowly woke up to the sun's rays. She slept the best night she could remember; peaceful, no faces at all. She sits up and sees Mia sanding gaurd over her. She smiles at the thought, of someone caring. "Oh don't tell me you've been standing gaurd all night! I mean I've lived out her for quite sometime, most of the animals have figured out by now to stay away with me. I'm a light sleeper, and those that do try to wake me, well...." She just remembered that if she killed the animal she would probally kill Mia too in the process. It was a good thing for Mia sake that she stood gaurd."

Emora:

"I've been sitting down mostly," Mia replied and looked back at her. "I just got up to take a look outside." Mia walked back towards her and smiled warmly. "How are you feeling? Are your up to going do the mountain so I can get you to a healer?" she asked and looked at her for a very long moment. "You will heal much faster. There could be other things wrong with you too..."

Casania:

Casania thought for a second. "Well we can't stay here I'm afraid. The whole explosion gave away our position to HIM... It appears we have a choice, face him or face the mountain. No, I fear that regardless of my condtion we have to move, and quickly."

Emora:

Mia nodded and smiled at her. "I'll carry you as far as I can carry you until my strength wears... then I'll help you walk," she lifted the girl up, using that hidden strength she had and she headed down the mountain.

It wasn't long before she got tired and they were half way down the mountain. "Let me stop and rest a while," Mia said and sat the girl down gently. Then she leans against a rock. "I don't remember... did I ever get your name?" she asked with a small smile. Mia takes a deep breath and rests her head. She's feeling tired now that she hasn't had any sleep.

Eslin:

Azure watched the scene with interest. She wasn't happy about her wolf coming to such a short end. Maybe she'd underestimated this woman. Maybe it'd take more to annoy her. She watched for a while. When the first woman left the cave she followed her looking for an opening.

The release of power stunned her. If she wasn't mistaken that power had come from that other girl. This was bad. Azure loved to create mayhem, but this was different. She didn't think she'd survive annoying these two. She forgot her curiosity and created a portal that would take her father down the mountain in search of safer fun.

Casania:

Casania takes notice of Mia state. Her focus then shifts to her leg. She was guiltfully aware that due to her outburst, leg had healed somewhat. She had absorbed the lifeforce. It had to go somewhere. It was still fractured, but with the splint plus the help of some unatural and unholy healing, she beleives she can walk on it.

She lets out a sigh. She coldly states, "You're tired....and exhausted. If we continue like this, the night will surely creep up on us."

She slowly climbs off Mia. She first lets her good leg down. Tentively and gingerly she places weight on the other leg.....nothing bad happens. She then pauses. She realizes how cold she sounds. Do I trust her.........
She forces a smile.

"The name's Casania, but....please under no circumstances use it." She takes a cautious step with her bad leg, and instantly a twinge of pain travels up her body. She unwillingly cries out in pain. Blue light flashes in her eye...

Emora:

Mia didn't know why she told Casania said her name and then asked her not to use it... but she figured the girl had her reasons and it was not her place to ask. She had her secrets and some secrets should be left unspoken.

"Here!" Mia said loudly and motioned for her to sit down. "You don't want to hurt the leg any more than it is. I just need to rest, I can carry you again once I'm rested..."

Casania:

Casanian quickly regained her mental composure. The flash left as quickly as it came. A bit of guilt crosses her mind. At this rate we'll both die.

She coldly explains, "You carrying me is not working. You're tired and exaustested...we are proceeding too slowly. Night will sourround us. It will be very difficult for us to find shelter and all your effort will be in vain when we die from exposure. I'm afraid that if we are to reap any benefit from this you have two choices. You can either leave me to die, or I must climb off your back and carry some of my own weight. Pain is a familar friend, I can endure his company."

Emora:

((OOC: I had this typed and some how I deleted it...))

Mia looked at her for a moment. "We will move just as slow walking with you having a hurt leg than with me carrying you. Unless you want whatever it is to catch you because you made your leg worst I suggest you let me carry you. I'm sorry for my raised voice, but... You don't seem to understand the fact your leg is to badly broken for you to make it any worst."

Mia knew this because many strong men in her village had lost there limbs because they had pushed themselves to the point where the limbs were ruined. This girl was going to do the very same thing.

Casania:

Casania sighs. Despite her pleas, despite her demonstrating her vile powers, this woman still was suffering for her sake. Nothing distrubs Casania is most disturbed when she is a burdern to others. It just yanks on her hypersensitive conscience and guilt, but she's in no position to argue. The only way she sees to get Mia to stop would be to lash out at her, to threaten her life, but that would merely create the same problem she's trying to avoid. She gives in.

"You're quite insistant upon helping me. Alright then I surrender. Just please bear in mind that it doesn't help anyone if you die for my sake. I'm a lost cause."

With that she stops trying to walk, and eases herself against a nearby tree.

Emora:

"There is no such thing as a lost cause..." Mia muttered and looked at the girl. "Men in way don't believe in lost causes, if they did they wouldn't volunteer to go."

"My people don't believe in lost causes, because if they did they would not be the great civilization we are now," Mia looked at her.

"You doubt yourself to much."

Mia then heard a great loud laughter. She turned her head and just beyond the trees there was a cottage. A horse was outside tied to a post. "Normally I wouldn't steal... But, in this case I will..."

Casania:

Casania took notice of the cottage as well. After hearing Mia's plan, she grows very hesitant. The only people who likely lived this far up in the mountains were huntsmen, and they were excellent trackers. If they were to steal the horse, those hunters would get mightily upset, and seek out revenge, but she realizes its the only option. She just hopes she will not have to kill them. "Please be careful," she whispers. " I have feeling those men inside will not take it too kindly once they discover a valuable horse to missing."

Emora:

Mia smiled at her as she walked off. "Oh, don't worry, I can handle myself just fine," Mia said and turned to walk towards the cottage. "I might even ask to borrow the horse..." She looked at the cottage. That's what she would do. Tell them the situation and if they didn't comply knock them out, take the horse, and get as far away as possible.

Mia walked up to the door and knocked on it. She put on her best smile as the door opened. A man stood in the door way holding a mug of ale. He seemed surprised at first and then smiled charmingly.

"Might I help you miss... are ya lost?"

"Yes, my friend his hurt and I need to borrow your horse to take her to the nearest town..."

"Lady, do you really think I believe you'll 'borrow' my horse and bring it back?" he asked and sat his mug down.

"I got a wagon, I can take you into town with it... Bring your friend inside so ya'll be warm while I and my friend here are hooking up the wagon," he said and stepped inside.

Mia went back to Casania. "They're going to hook up the wagon and take us to the nearest town," Mia said and took Casania's arm and pulled it over her shoulder.

Casania:

Casania looked hesitant. Mia's far too trusting! She somewhat trusted Mia becuase she risked her life protecting her, but she didn't trust people. There were powerful people after her with deep pockets, not to mention the fact that they're trusting a bunch of lonely men living alone in the woods. But she didn't have a choice. She so insistant!

Casania's body trembled the closer they got to the cottage. As they drew closer she whispered in Mia's ear, "I sure hope you know what your getting us into, I would hate myself if IT had to come back."

Emora:

Mia turned her head slightly and whispered. "No matter what don't bring IT out... I can handle two men on my own," Mia said and stepped over the threshold.

Mia led Casania to a chair and helped her sit. "Rest..."

A burly man came out of a room. He had a thick beard that was a little matted up. He looked at them both for a moment as his friend walked through the door. Mia knew that this wasn't the safest place to be since they were two females alone in the woods. But, she had to try and have faith that there were at least some good men out there.

They stared at them for a while and a smile grew on both there faces. "We'll be leaving in a few moments ladies," one said looking both Casania and Mia over.

Casania:

Casania nervously cringes as the burly man looks them over. She becomes extremly self-conscious. She looks over her clothing, making sure she's showing the least amount of skin as possible. Her thoughts drift towards her chest. I wish he would stop staring. I hope he doesn't see IT.

Emora:

The man who had come through the door closed it behind him and turned around. His hand moved behind him and locked the door.

"Dammit," Mia muttered and rolled her eyes. "Casania, remember what I said, no matter what happens..."

Mia was jerked backwards and thrown up against the wall and held there. "Don't let IT come out!"

"Isn't it nice of you to drop by... we were just talking about ladies," the man said and fondled Mia as the burly man came forward.

"Sorry," Mia said and kicked the man so hard she sent him falling backwards. "You won't find me very lady like." She stomped on his stomach as she moved forward and punched the burly man in the face. It did absolutely nothing to him. Mia stared shocked.

Casania:

Casania turns and witnesses the battle before her. She 's in over her head. As she watches, a deep resentment grows in her. She absolutely hates people like this. People who think they can use their power to control others. They're just like HIM. Absolute rage fills her mind. People like this deserve to die! Her eyes grow a menacing blue as the other man approaches her...

Emora:

"No!" Mia yelled and spun around, planting a foot in the man's stomach. "Casania, get to the door and unlock it. Try your best to get to the horse! Go!"

She kicked the burly man in the stomach and that doubled him over. She pulled his own sword from his sheath and plunged it into his stomach. "GO!" she yelled as the body of the burly man stumbled forward.

Casania:

Casania tres to run, but her leg makes it impossible. The woodsmen pins her down on the bed, and she's too weak to resist. "PLEEEAAASSE D...." As she screams the man tears her tank top off revealing her young breats. Over the center of them is what appears to be a haunting beautiful tatoo. It looks like an intricate knot of thorns, each line ending sharply. She throws her hands to her head, "Noooooo!" The man instantaneously explodes, covering her in blood. Absolute blueish hate burns her eyes

She then makes eye contact with Mia for an instant. The hatred in her eyes disappear as tears of her own blood drip down her face. Her eyes almost say, "I'm sorry."

Using her telekinectic abillities, she snatches up the wounded man. The blue light returns and burns brightly in her eyes as she quickly levitates upwards, smashing the ceiling and telekinectically draging the man far into the sky.

Emora:

Mia was shocked and amazed at the same time. Even a little fearful. She took the body with her, leaving Mia alone in the house.

Some one grabbed Mia from behind and through her into another wall, pressing her against it. His hand came up and smacked the back of Mia's head, forcing the side over her head to collide with the wall. He did this three times until she was to dizzy to fight back.

She slumped to the floor, but as she went to stand she was pinned down. Hadn't there been only two men before? Her vision cleared to see above her a man with beautiful silver eyes and long silver hair. "What have you done to these people?" he asked looking around at the blood every where.

"What?" she asked in a daze. "They... they tried to over power my friend and I... Who?"

"I'm a wanderer and I heard the commotion. I've known these men for a month and they are good men!"

"Apparently not! They just tried to have there way with us!" Mia yelled back and he looked at her hard in the eyes.

"You are mistaken."

"Get off me," Mia said and the man did so surprisingly. "I'm not mistaken," Mia said and stood up. "My there lies my friends shirt, thanks to the man you see scattered across the room! I have to find her she's hurt..."

The handsome man with the beautiful eyes looked at her for a moment and then nodded. "I'll help," he said and walked outside.

Casania:

Dragging the man far into the sky, Casania stopped and glared at the man. She was not herself, her powers and her raqe dominated her thinking. She glares at the burly man cowering in fear.

"Now you temble, now you will know the pain and sufferring you bring to the world. People like you have no right to live, you're nothing but leaches who need to hurt people down. Get out of my sight!" She hurls the man into the sky. She glows a bright blue and shoots out muttiple streams of magic towards the falling man. He explodes to in a shower of blood and organs. All the magical wisps plus an additional one return to her

A terrible thought crosses her mind. She becomes remorseful. I've become just like HIM! She glows again, and a big explosion of blue magical energy sourrounds her. After her releasing all her emotions, she fades into unconscienceness as she slowly drifts down into the forrest.

Emora:

The man and Mia walked ran through the forest. "She fell some where over here," Mia said and ran in that direction. She came to the snow covered clearing to find Casania lying on the ground unconscious. Mia knelt down and took her pulse.

"She's alive..." Mia said as the man knelt on the other side of her. "We have to get her to a healer..." Mia was going to pick her up but the handsome man did before she could.

"You'll ride with her," he said and began to carry Casania back to the cabin. "I'll take my horse. She will feel better if she woke up to find your face and not mine. She doesn't know me."

"I don't either," Mia called as he waited for her by the horse.

"My name is Talon Raider," he said and his silver eyes met hers. "Now hurry, the girl needs help."

Casania:

In darkness, lustfull thoughts entered Casania's mind. This is followed by feelings of intense fear and confusion. She was expiriencing the last thoughts of her victims. She screams "no!" and comes to consciousness. She notices she's on the back of the horse, and she looks up to find Mia's friendly face. "Where...where am I?"

Emora:

Mia looked down. "We're just riding into town," she said and smiled slightly. "I'm going to find you a healer."

It wasn't long before the man known as Talon had directed her to a healer. "Casania, this is Talon, he has been helpful, he won't hurt you," Mia said as Talon lifted the girl off of the horse so Mia could dismount. He carried her up the steps and into the healers home.

The healer was an old woman with short curly white hair and a white dress on. The room they were led to was white and lined with five beds that were vacant. Talon laid the girl on the bed and turned to leave the room. He stopped as he stood beside Mia. "I would like to speak with you after while," he said and then left.

The healer closed her doors behind him and turned to begin her work.

Casania:

As the healer worked the cast, and prepared a salve. Casania thought about the man she just saw. Mia is far too trusting! I would think after our last ordeal she should know better. Yeah, he might have been helpful, but people can have alterior motives.

Her focus returned to the healer. "Please be gentle when you set the cast, I become quite a disagreeable person when I'm in pain..."

Emora:

Mia smiled at Casania for a moment. "I'll be right back," she said leaving the room.

The man known as Talon was standing in front of a window with his hands clasped behind his back. His figure was lean and defined. His long hair went past his shoulders straight and shinning in the sun.

"I could have been wrong to judge those men the way I did," he said, not even turning towards her.

"I am sorry for what happened to your friend and to you," he said and was still not turning around to look at her. She noticed his head lower. "My sister... was in the same situation once because of people I trusted. I was reluctant to believe it had happened again."

Casania:

The cast was set, and only with a minor bit of pain. The healer was good. Casania looked down at her bloody bare chest. The black tatoo glared back at her In the rush and fuss over her Mia forgot to cover her. How many people have seen my secret. Does Talon know about it?

Another worry crossed her face. She did not trust Talon, especially when she was exposed the way she was. She quickly grabs a sheet and covers herself in it. A bloody girl with an evil looking tatto, the healer had to notice as well. Casania felt she was coming in contact with too many people. She had to get out of this place and quick. She reaches over her bed, and picks up a nearby crutch. Over the healer's protests she burst out of the ward's door...

Emora:

Mia turned quickly and looked surprised at Casania. She then realized that Casania had no shirt on. Talon however was the first one to do something about it. He walked over and put his cloak around her shoulders before stepping away and going back to the window.

"Casania," Mia said and shook her head. "When will you listen to me. If you don't rest you won't be worth a darn in a fight against whoever it is your afraid of. Do you want this person to get you? I don't think you do. So I suggest you go lie down for a while," Mia said and looked at her sternly.

Mia was only trying to help, but everything she did this girl completely blew it off. She was on the verge of just walking away, yet she wouldn't, because the girl needed help.

With out saying good by the mysterious man left. His name was Talon Raider? That sounded slightly familiar to her...

Talon walked out onto the streets, finished with the women. They would handle themselves from here, but this had brought back the memory of his sister and for some reason he felt compelled to go to Lowight and see her. He also needed to get down with business. With the war brewing he needed to take up his old rank as Captain of Knights.
