Mizuki nodded, thinking that she would set the child on a swift pony. A horse would be too much for her considering her lack of knowledge of riding. Mizuki would have Rai on her horse behind her if they didn't need to be so swift. Mizuki nodded to Siren, signaling that she would go to town with Rai and buy horses. Whether or not Siren joined the small task Mizuki didn't care.
Mizuki walked with Rai swiftly into town towards a breeding stable at the end of the road. The rancher's land was massive, explaining why he was on the edge of town. She rapped on his door firmly, her anxiousness to be in and out clear.
"Yes, yes, what can I do you for?" asked the Master of the lands who opened the door with only mild annoyance.
"We need horses." Mizuki said quickly. "Fast ones. A gentle pony for the girl."
"Fast ones, eh?" he pondered. "I've got some real fast ones, but they'll cost you a bundle. May I ask you would be needing them for?"
Mizuki tried to be casual about her explaination. "We need to get across the Border quite soon and to the desert."
"The desert?!" the master exclaimed, unbelieving and he wanted to ask why, but Mizuki's anxious eyes told him that she would have no paitence for the question. He sensed her urgency. "I've got some good strong ones that can take that heat well. Bear you so fast you'll feel as if you're riding on the noreastern winds." They lead them inside and towards the back to his fenced in lands. Horses of vairous sizes and colors roamed freely. He let Mizuki straight to a tall white mare. "We call her Lighting, she'll bare you well. Check her if you'd like." But just by looking at the horse, Mizuki knew that she would do well.
"I can see clearly enough that she'll ride well." the master rose a questioning brow at her. He even got a bit uneasy at how fast Mizuki had chosen her. The master took much pride in his horses and he liked to make sure they would be well taken care of. Mizuki read his eyes well. "As fast as our journey may be, we shall take great care of your horses." she graced him with a smile and set some of his uneasiness at bay. The master then turned to Rai.
"A pony is what she'll be needing. I've got a paint pony that may just be right for her."
Lore: Forgotten Enemies
OOC: *Twirls around in circles* Freee~! yay for summer break!
IC:
Siren had stayed back at the house, not needing a horse herself and sure that she didn't want to be riding one for too long, it would probably just be a hindrance to the others and herself. The wind would take her faster than any horse could anyway, although the desert sun would be painful.
She went about the house briskly, checking over the rooms to make sure there wasn't anything worth stealing left out, which wasn't hard to do since they hadn't really put anything of high value in to begin with. It would be much more pleasant to return to a house that had not been vandalized and infested with street thugs, though, so she set up a temporary barrier of various magical traps around the house to activate when they left that would dissuade thugs.
Being a creature of the air, she was always ready to leave at any moment by nature, so she waited patiently, staring off into the distance while the others got their horses.

OOC: heard they be ready for us now so let us close up this thread and head out!!
IC: After the master showed them their horses and did a test run with Rai on the pony, Mizuki bought the horses and both She and Rai walked them back to the house to get Siren.
"We're back! Let's get moving." Mizuki called out. She did one last check of their supplies as they packed them up on the horses and within's Siren bracelet, then Mizuki and Rai mounted with Siren taking to the air. Mizuki checked the map quickly to find their direction. North, Northeast. Mizuki pointed to Siren their direction, then kicked her mount into a canter with Rai following close by her side.
