Lore: Forgotten Enemies
"They'll do," she said, examining her work before handing them back to Soran.
"I added an anti-magic shield so that those magic-users won't be able to disspell them, it might also help to deflect focused attacks like those arrows if you can angle them well. Don't count on it to absorm the magic or anything though, take a direct hit and you'll still get hurt. I've also fine-tuned them a bit to connect with you better. This way you can will them to adjust their shape slightly while using them, making them thin and long or short and wide or whatnot. You might want to practice it a bit before using it in action."
She looked into Soran's eyes.
"How long do you think this is going to take with them? Tonight? Till next week? When should we start worrying you think? Maybe I should have had some sort of distress code put into those..." she mused, knowing he wouldn't have liked that anyway.

"I won't know how long it'll take until I know what they want, but I don't want you coming after me. I don't believe in premonitions, but still...I have a bad feeling about these people," Soran said matter-of-factly as he clipped the revised bangles onto his wrists and felt them lock on. He called out the blades and tried focusing his thoughts, channeling it into their connection with his blood. They shifted their standard form just slightly, then rippled back to normal again. Soran had zip magical talent, so it would take a good deal of effort to learn to utilize the ability Siren had built into them. "Thanks for these. I'll come back as soon as possible," he said.
"Take care and come back safely then. I'll try and keep the others calm when they figure out what's going on... If you want to have anything said to them, now's the time to let it be known. Otherwise... good luck and see you soon." She smiled a quirky sort of half-smile-grin at him and bowed slightly, bending at the waist with her hand over her chest, as if to remind him that she was his to command if he needed anything.

The rogue nodded his understanding. He thought for a minute about Siren's suggestioni of a message, but in the end he couldn't think of anything. "Keep this here," he said, taking his coin purse out of his coat and handing it to her, "Just in case." At the least, it would pay the rent for another half a year if he couldn't return immediately. He put his hand on the bowing angel's shoulder and gave it a light squeeze, then turned and left the room. Walking down the stairs, he went outside and closed the door behind him. Five minutes later, he arrived at the inn that Jhaptal had specified. He opened the door and walked in steadily, looking for signs of Tensho or the young girl.
Jhaptal steps out from the shadows he had been hiding in outside of the inn and watched the rogue walk in. Quickly he walked over to the door, stepping in a few minutes after Soran did. It didn't take him that long to find the elf and he approached him from behind. "Soran," he acknowleded. "Before you turn around, I think you should remove your weapons first." The tone in his voice allowed no arguement.

Jhaptal didn't budge on the issue. "We have three chocies then," he said. "You can either 1, stop lying about it and take them off peaceablely, 2, I chop off your arms, or 3, I go to Siren and drag her here forceably to take them off since she's the only one magically inclined. Of course, I'm sure your 'family' is well asleep by now so I could easily sneak in and kill all but her on my stop there. Perhaps have another magical bolt shot into Rai's leg to have her slowly die."

Jhaptal led Soran out of the inn and out of the town. It wasn't long before they came across Mayn, who had been preparing the spell or doing whatever it was that she needed to do. In his hands were the two bracers that he had taken from Soran. "Are you done with preparations yet?" he asked the girl.
