Paul jerked awake, the first thing he noticed, the cold. He shivered like a leaf as he tried to pull himself up. Everyone was either asleep, unconscious or dead. One or the other. Everything was frozen, the mouth of the cave, the only way out and he couldn't concentrate on creating fire... But he had to try. Paul outstretched his arms sideways and brought them close together in front, close to his chest while shifting his feet as if to strike. A little trick he learned, using footwork to draw the power of the Earth. Within a few seconds and luck, his arms were set alight. Warmth was restored only to Paul, steam started to rise immediately, disabling all vision there is to spare. To the exit Paul thought. He felt his way around and felt the icy wall, then he made it to what he sought.
Bam
Paul pounded the ice that covered their only way out. Another few pounds.
Crack
"This isnt working!" Paul cursed. He turned around, faced the mist that now enshrouded, and almost suffocating cave. "Fine then..." Paul said to himself. He then started digging, using his abilities to lift chunk after chunk of hard Earth carefully disposing it by hurling it at the ice wall instead of endangering his companions.

Despite his best efforts to damage the ice, the mark proved too focused on it's goal to waver. Every crack he made in the surface, every dent, every scratch or bruise, healed over within a few moments of it's creation. With each and every pulse of power it took to heal the ice, the mark drained at little bit from Sera. The more fervantly he attacked it, the more it took. Eventually it came to the point of physical pain.
The temperature dropped another couple degrees.
Her unconcious body hissed in pain and shifted, stretching out as if to make itself a thinner target from it's would-be attacker. Seeing as how her mind was not her own at the time, she did not even notice her ankles flash into view as her body stretched. Still about her ankle was the very armband the Kid had stupidly placed himself and the rest of them in danger for.

The cold was intensifying, the flames blazing on both arms of Paul were already flickering. He had succeeded in digging a hole, he had given up on trying to break through the wall of ice as it had kept on recuperating itself. Paul's powers relied on focus, on his previous encounters, anger, unlike most of other people, he was under control, he wasn't blinded by rage, but instead, it was more of an extra boost of focus. Paul, proud of the outcome has dug a hole, roughly four feet under. All he had to do was dig a bit more to make a U-Turn up and behind the wall of ice.
Paul looked down, the situation was intensifying, he could feel the cold reaching under his skin again. He heard a grunt from behind. "Of course!" Paul slapped himself mentally and made his way through all of the mist and found sunshine. She wasn't, unlike everyone else, covered in frost. It was her icing this place up. He had forgotten for a brief moment that she controlled the essence of ice. How, he did not know, but he guessed that it was somewhat just like how he could generate fire. By gathering all the force which has somewhat a heated energy in it. All he did was gather them all and combust (Spell check says theres no such thing as combust) them, from there, he could manipulate them the fire to increase its' mass and volume. He had learnt all this by himself as he was experimenting on his powers in secret while he was still affiliated with the Ighten army.
He scanned Sunshine's body, it was nowhere near freezing but it seemed she was in pain, if not pain, a minor disturbance, a damn dream. "Wake up!" Paul shook her, despite the frostbiting cold that was numbing his hands. He shook her a few more times and scanned around for some props. None. "Dammit" He pounded the ground, the cavern shook violently and then stopped. "You're going to freeze us all to death! Wake up!"

Try as he might, nothing could rouse Sera from her forced slumber. The only reassurance that she was even still alive was the small flutter of her eyes every so often and the constant stretched tautness her limbs and muscles held.
Would he see? She had wondered when she had tied his precious armband around her ankle. Would he be willing to part with it in return for his life, or will he sacrifice both just for the sake of...family?

Oh, Kien-sa! Rien practically sang. She's got thought process!
Now you just have to wake her up, Rien-so.

(Geez, Ive been checking the forums all break! And where were you guys?)
______________
Paul looked at her exasparatedly, he was shivering, cold to the bone, the cavern was iced up... What did she miss... "We need to get out of here." Paul rasped. The Ice Mage 'fidgeted' a bit and fell back into her unconscious state. "She's the one responsible, try getting her to wake up though" He pointed to the Songtress who was still unconscious or asleep... or dead.
(All in good time with the armband)

{Ha! I wrote a lot, sort of to make for not writing, but also because its just that complicated. And the reason I didn't write over break is because I didn't think about it. Hmm, sorry, but its true, I forgot all about you guys. No offense, of course . I had books to read .}

Pyra was getting mad. Beyond mad--she was getting pissed. The stupid Healer Instincts took over, and what happens?! This! We're stuck in a frozen heap, with no way out, an idiot BOY, a wacko and tempermental Ice Mage, a fickle Demon (not just in blood) woman, TWO psychotic mentally deranged beings--that I think are in the swords, a misled panther (who does she think she is, cuddling up to my companion), and a phoenix in an ash tree! WHERE is Rosada? And WHAT did that Ice MAGE do to her?!
Smoke rose from Pyra's nostrils, flames licked her tongue, and her tail twitched irritably.
Walking--only because the ice would freeze and damage her wings--over to Rosada, Pyra hopped onto her chest.
Staring down at her familiar face, Pyra narrowed her eyes. Why am I sensing a geas? she grumbled thought to herself. It didn't matter, though. Her connection to Rosada surpassed everything--even death.
Gathering her mind, the young dragon leaped into her friend. A familiar place, though not often tread, she immediately noticed the three pathways leading out of it. Turning her back on them (I'll deal with you three later) she looked around to find the essence of Rosada. Immediately, she saw her, lying as if asleep within her own mind.
Trudging over, she nipped her friend's shoulder. Come on, sleepy head, time to wake UP. Your beautiful by now.
When no response was forthcoming, she simply took a good portion of Rosada's shoulder (surprisingly solid, considering), and bit down.
Rosada sat up quickly, yelping. Ouch! She looked around and glared at Pyra. What was that for?
Ah, look around you. When we are actually in a safe place, you can rest. NOW, is not the time.
Obeying her friend, Rosada's eyes widened. We're still in my mind? But you don't like coming in here.
It was an emergency. Now come on. Standing she turned her back and waited for Rosada to stand up, then they walked out of Rosada's mind together.
Groaning, Rosada sat up and rubbed her head. Sensing more than seeing Pyra slip down beside her, she moved her other hand to embrace her.
Despite the headache--those swords hadn’t been exactly gentle with her--it didn't take long to feel the cold. Of course, a body would have to be dead not to notice it. As it seemed the Ice Mage was.
Glancing around, Rosada took in Paul by the Wall of Ice and near a hole in the ground, the apparently approaching Vixen, and the so still Ice Mage and Panther.
"Not good," she breathed under breathe. She looked down at Pyra. "But what did you expect me to do?"
"I'ss didn't reallyss exsspects you to do anything. I'ss just didn't wantss you sssleeping with ssssuch cccolldd around ussss," came the solid reply.
"That makes since-ss," commented Rosada, stuttering when her teeth started to chatter.

The moment Paul's hand touched the armband around her ankle awareness shot back under Sera's control.
She woke up instantly.
In a fluid moment, Sera shot up, her hand wrapping tightly around his wrist. Pushing off the ground, body twisting, she slammed him down beside her. Her leg swung over his torso allowing her to straddle him, pining him down, while her free hand went to his throat. With a blaze in her fully aware eyes, she stared down at him, her hair falling to hide her face from the others.
The hand at his throat clenched.
"Don't touch the band." she growled.

Wincing at the yelling emitting from the Demon woman, Rosada weakly got up from the freezing floor and ambled towards the Terrific Trio. Pyra walked closely-and worriedly-at her side.
Addressing one of her questions, Rosada said, "Your panther is fine. She is asleep, and may stay asleep I don't know how long, but as long as the Ice Mage is awake--and hopefully able to do something about the temperature in this cave--that is no longer a problem. So, if you please, I would appreciate less yelling as the Ice Mage here has given me a splitting headache."

"Give it back!" Paul pulled, the cold now oblivious to his senses. Everything was all on the armband. She refused, pulling it back harder. It was a good thing that the materia used on the armband were very durable. Otherwise it would have ripped in a rather unpleasant way. Paul was growing weary of the (pulling of the armband thingy), his precious memento was just under his nose, about to be stolen. He let go of one hand from the armbands grasp and made his way to the Ice Mage’s wrist. He drove it down inches away from the ground and made a tight arc of hard rock, which served as a cuff and locked one of her hands.
Once the rock locked around her wrist, Sera kicked out, catching Paul in the chest and sending him tumbling backwards. She mumered a few words, casting a initiate spell to freeze the rock encasing her wrist. Turning and smashing the frozen caging, she freed herself.
"You endangered us all for this useless strip of leather." Sera cried, dangling it over his face and placing her foot against his throat. A smile moved across her lips as she watched him gasp for air.

Pain—a result from the nearby noise—made her collapse onto her knees right beside the still struggling duo. Sighing, she said, "Stop that." Violet light seemed to come out of her voice, and wrapped around the two. It pulled tightly, binding arms around bodies, and then pulled them away from each other.
Ignoring the yelling--the painful yelling--coming from Paul, Rosada addressed Sera. "Are you in control yet? I am not comfortable with this geas within my head."

"Release me." The strange effects of the spell around her made her slowly calm. It was not a welcome feeling. She struggled, called upon initiate spells to free herself, and in the end just exhausted her strength. Her body went still and she settled a icy glare upon the little Witch.
"Are you in control?" The witch repeated, her voice lined with weariness.
"Perfectly." Was her dry reply.
