"I'm not just talking about the label here, although now that you mention it, I wonder where he picked that word up from..." She smirked, but figured he wouldn't get the insinuation that Mizuki or her mom must have taught the baby it.

"The kid picks up on his mom's emotions towards you, which natrually draws him to you. She feels safe around you, so does her kid. Her heart races when she's near you a little bit, he picks up on it."

She tilted her head and waited for his rebuttle.

Soran tilted his head. He'd never heard that before, and had no idea whether it was true. He seemed deep in thought, then lifted a hand to dig his fingers into his hair and back over his scalp tensely.

He couldn't believe he was talking about all this. What was he doing? The way he saw it, it was a risk as it was to let these people he was with as close as he had. Love is too far. I won't take that plunge. I won't place a sword at my own neck. This is as far as it goes. If he must admire her, he would do so from a safe distance.

Soran looked back at Siren, who was waiting for him to argue. He really couldn't think of anything to say. "You sure are a nosy servant," he teased half-heartedly, "Must be because of your crazy angel social system - everyone all tangled up in everyone else's business." He smirked slightly to himself. He called her servant, but in reality, her behavior reminded him more of a sister.

Mizuki set Blade down on the chair. She saw Rai having such a good time that she didn't want to interupt. Although her ears rang slightly (a myth among her village was that your ears ring when someone talks about you, teehee), she ignored it and sat down next to her son. Her eyes wandered the room, waiting for Red or Soran. Whoever showed up first.

Her vision went black suddenly and there was a deep voice next to her ear.'

"Guess who?"

"Red." Mizuki giggled, "Don't startle me like that!" Red chuckled and tooh his hands away from her eyes. He sat down across from her. Blade took an interest with him and got off his chair to crawl into his lap.

"Cute lil fella." Red commented, welcoming the the little boy with black wings into his lap. Mizuki giggled at her son. Although Red would probably never have kids in his lifetime, considering his sexuality, he still loved them. "Now you've got a story to tell." He reminded her, he desparetly wanted to know what had happened to the young girl who was like a sister to him.

Mizuki sighed deeply, and dove into the whole story. Unknowing to her that some of the few partrons in the place that were in earshot of her, were listening to her tale about how she had come here, met Soran and other people, and through all their other adventures.

Rai giggled and finished off the peice of bread in her mouth. "That is cool!" she said, kicking her legs a bit higher until one accidently hit him in the chin.

Jhaptal rubbed his chin a little, but otherwise shrugged off the kick. Finishing his meal, the ninja stood up. "I'm sorry, but I'm busy now," he said. "And I can't think of any more tricks to do."

Rai pouted slightly and folded her arms. "But Soran and Mizuki are busy and Siren is sleeping and I have nothing to do. Won't you stay and talk to me?" she made these happy eyes that sparkled with a childs innocence.

Jhaptal made a mental note that this little girl knew Soran. He thought about it for a moment, or made himself look like he was. "Sure," he said. "And I suppose I have a few more tricks. They aren't the most original ones, but it's better than nothing huh?"

Rai nodded quickly, sitting in her chair on her knees and leaning over the table. "Thank you!" she said to him with a sweet angelic smile.

"Soran wouldn't like if I wondered around and if I have no one to talk to then I might wonder around," she explained to him. "I've already gotten in trouble once. Big bad thingies attacked me."

"Like what kind of things Rai?" Jhaptal asked. He figured he should make some sort of conversation with the little girl, not really having anything else to do. While he chatted, he took various objects from the table and made them disappear, only to have them reappear somewhere else.

"They were just bad thingies. They looked kinda like lizards and had really sharp teeth." She made jaws with her hands and snapped them down. "And my foot got stuck in a rock thing and I couldn't get out and it was going to eat me! Its because of the stupid butterfly."

"But, we always have bad things after us. I had a lot... They took my mommy and daddy and Shea..." Rai frowned and sighed. "But, Soran is my new daddy!"

Jhaptal smiled kindly at the girl. "Is he now?" he asked. "That's nice. It'd probably be nice to talk to this Soran one day."

Rai grinned. "I can go get him if he's not too busy!" she told him and grinned. "He had to catch a mouse last night. It was under the bed and I didn't know what it was. I thought it was a bad thing."

"Do you want me to go get him?"

"That would be nice," Jhaptal replied. "Thank you very much Rai." As a thank you, he folded the napkin he made disappear earlier quickly into an origami flower and handed it to her.

Rai grinned and nodded, "Thank you!" she said taking the flower and cupping it in her hands as she ran up stares and busted into the room with Soran. "Guess what!" she said. "I magic man wants to meet you Soran! I gave me this! He made it! Isn't it pretty!"

Soran's attention went to the young girl who just burst into his room. "The guy from last night?" he muttered to himself, turning to follow her. He'd said he would meet Mizuki downstairs anyway. "See you downstairs," he said to Siren, a subtle gratitude contained in his voice for her concern.

He followed Rai out of the room, not interested in meeting that person, but it couldn't be avoided.
