Lore: Drakeshead Inn and Tavern

The Captial of Arken, it is the darkest known city in the world. As it is the capital and the home to the Witch Queen herself, it is a very dangerous place to enter. Home to the toughest and roughest crooks around.

Joe smiled and glanced at his sister. "Any time would be nice," he said and patted her gently on the back.

"Any time..." she said softly, smiling at Daylan. She didn't really know what to say to him besides thank you. She didn't know if he would get annoyed by her constant thanking him, but she couldn't really help it.

Something horrible could have happened to her if he hadn't showed up. The guards could have...

She didn't want to think about that. She closed her eyes for a moment and smiled again. "Whenever you would like, Daylan..."

Daylan looked over to the two, "Anytime then..." the adrelaine was finally starting to wear thing and he felt tired. Magic was always tiring, even for the greatest of wizards, and he certainly wasn't one of them.

He looked over to Ora tenderly for a moment, "Then tomorrow morning. I must rest, with luck they won't notice anything." He began to walk towards hir oom, "You can stay in a room if you'd like." he said as he pointed to the suite rooms. Large comfortable... a change for the both of them he should think.

Joe and Ora retired to two seperate rooms. Joe wasn't like Ora and didn't get affected by things she did. Staying the night in a large comfortable room was just staying the night in a room to him...

But, the first thing Ora did when she walked into the room was stand there and stare. She closed the door behind her and walked into the room. If she would have had the energy she would have ran to the bed and pounced on it.

But, instead she just smiled brightly, running her hands over the large bed. She climbed tiredly into bed, pulling the thick covers down and climbing under them.

It had been a long time since she had slept in a bed as comfortable as this. She sprawled out in the bed and still didn't hang of the edge anywhere. The bed didn't smell of hay and grass and mildew like her bed at home. The pulle wasn't a bag of torn and shredded material, it was soft...

That night Ora fell a sleep with a smile on her face.

Daylan stumbled into his own room, the drink going to his head just a little bit. He blinked and rubbed his eyes as he fell into his own bed, not even bothering to take off his clothes as he did. He felt himself instantly descend into sleep.

He woke in the morning with a start and sat up quickly, panting for a moment. He wrung his hands for a moment before moving over to his desk. He opened it, searching for hs spellbook. Soon enough he found it and tossed it onto his bed before finding his staff as well. He spent several moments reading the spells aloud as the staff began to glow with the energy before suddenly standing and walking to the door. Time to leave.

Ora sat up slowly and looked around the room, forgetting momentarily where she was. But, then it all came back to her. She fell gently back in bed, noticing how sore her muscles were. Sore to the point where she didn't want to move or role over.

Maybe she could sleep a little while longer and that would make them feel better. She pulled the covers up over her chest again and fell a sleep.

Daylan quickly dressed, wearing sturdy traveling clothes as opposed to his normal, more fine clothing. He walked down into the common room. Well he was the only one awake. Maybe he should awaken the other two... but not this early he thought to himself. He rubbed a hand through his hair, just a little bit nervous.

Joe woke slowly, climbing tiredly out of bed and standing up straight. For a moment he stumbled, his legs still half a sleep and not ready for his weight.

He caught himself on the bed and stood up straight again heading out the door.

He stopped by Ora's room and peeked in on her. She was fast a sleep in her bed, warm under the covers.

He winced at her face, which was bruised badly. At least that was the only thing wrong with her. Bruises... and maybe a fractured rib or something...

"Ora, I think its time to get up," he called to her.

She groaned, rolled over to where her back was to him, and said nothing.

He smiled and walked down the hall. He could come back later. He stepped down into the common room.

"I think Ora is ignoring me. She refuses to leave her bed," Joe said with a smirk. "Though, she isn't used to such a fine bed and she might have grown attatched. Maybe you would have better luck?"

Daylan soon had a small fire going in the fireplace and was gettting ready to cook some eggs when Joe came down. He looked up at Joe as he entered, alughing a little as he spoke. "Perhaps I willl.... You handle the food." he said before walking up the stairs.

He pushed open the door to Ora's room, peeking in. He walked up silently to her. He sat down onto the bed next to her, brushing aside some of the hair from her face and wincing at the sight of her bruises. "Ora. It's time to wake up." he whispered into her ear.

Ora sighed softly, shifting around under the heavy covers until she was lying on her back. She opened her eyes and blinked several times at Daylan's image above her. "Oh," she said softly, barely above a whisper.

"I thought I was dreaming someone was waking me up," she gave a soft beautiful smile, her eyes gazing at him sleepily.

She slipped a hand under her pillow and tilted her head. "Time to get up... Okay..." She sat up slowly, sorely, wincing at the uncomfortable feeling in her limbs.

Meanwhile Joe was busy making eggs. He wasn't the best cook in the world since Ora mostly handled that, but he could remember how to make them.

Daylan next to her, smiling back down as she began to wake up, "Oh yes, that's what I used to tell me father." he said with small wink. He helped her rise up as he noticed there pain before biting his lip a little in concern. He was terrible at healing, but he supposed it was nothing.

"Here let me help you." He said, cupping the bruises on her face with his hand gently and murming words fotly. He felt her pain for a moment before he began to slowly dissolve it.

Ora smiled softly at him, closing her eyes when his hand gently touched her cheek. She felt the pain in her face slowly go away until finally she couldn't feel it at all anymore.

She guess that for him to do the rest of her body he would have to touch her, so she wouldn't ask him so sh wouldn't make him uncomfortable.

He sighed as he dropped his hand from her cheek. He had been getting a little rusty at healing. He should practice some more, he thought to himself before smiling ever so slightly, "No time like the present.." he murmured to himself before looking back at Ora, "Wher else do you hrt?" he said, somewhat nervously, but it was his duty to help her.

Ora smiled softly at him and blushed. "I wouldn't want to trouble you," she said, holding herself up with a trembling arm. She pushed herslef up against the head board so she wouldn't have to use all her energy to hold herself up.

She put a hand to her cheek and her finger tips touched it gently. "Thank you," she said, smiling since it no longer hurt to do so.

Daylan smiled a little when she did, and blushed equally, "It's... it's no trouble to help you. It's the least I can do for you." He didn't know why but he was indebted to her. He helped her up onto the headboard. He looked strangely nervous as his hand touched to her ribs, "D-does this hurt?" he asked, swalling hard as he pressed in a little.

Ora breathed in sharply and winced, refusing to breath out as it probably would hurt also. She nodded softly, closing her eyes for a moment as she let out her breath slowly.

"Yes..." she said softly, wincing again. She glanced down at his hand, not feeling a bit uncomfortable like she thought she would feel. "They hit me a lot..." she said absentmindedly. "For a while I thought they would do... worst... I guess I'm not pretty enough. I'm thankful for that... I think they tried to make it seem like they did worst." Every breath was a bit painful with the slightl pressure on her ribs.
