The man cried out, arching his back and litting go of the knife. It slid carelessly down the side of Tenele's neck and stuck into the bed. He was huddled on the floor, crying out as every time he moved shards of the vase dug deeper into his back.
He looked up at Vlad with both a fearful, and malicious expression.
Lydia couldn't wait anymore. She needed someone to die, someone to die so she could be over with vengance... though she doubted it would ever be over.
Lydia screamed and ran forward, grabbing a large chop saw from the tray and running at Vlad. Though, her movements were clumsy and not well trained. She tried to hack at Vlad.
Meanwhile the man with the shards of vase in his back and buttocks was trying to crawl away before Vlad remembered what he had almost done to his "girlfriend."

As Lydia struck at him, Vlad disappeared before her eyes, reforming behind her. He used her downward momentum, grabbing the back of her neck and slamming her face down against the cot. His body leaned across her back almost sensually as she bent forward. "My heart is not so easily stolen," he snarled into her ear, his fangs lowering toward her neck.

Vlad's peripheral vision caught the man heading for the door, and his froze with his mouth next to Lydia's neck. "Found something tastier," he grinned. Curlinghis fingertips in against her neck, his nails sprouted into foot-long claws and dove straight through her neck, killing her instantly. When she collapsed out from under him, however, he no longer had anything to lean on, and sank forward against the bed awkwardly. He clutched the edge of the bed, breathing raggedly and holding himself up as he turned his head toward the escaping man. He disappeared and at once reappeared, sitting nonchalantly with his back against the closed door. He wiggled his fingers playfully at the man crawling towards him, a dark sneer parting his lips. "Go unlock the girl," he ordered, "my pet."

The man pulled his pants up and held them there, buttoning them quickly as he ran back to the Tenele. He didn't want to die... So he did as he was told. He looked for the keys. He untied Tenele's legs. She flinched away from him when he went to, but he untied them nonetheless.
As soon as her wrists were free a leg came around and kicked him in the head. In that same fluent motion she stood the her feet, wrapping the sheet around her, and as he bounced off the wall she spin kicked him in the gut and then came back around and with her other foot; skicked him in the head. He flew back and landed on the floor with a loud thud. He screamed as the shards of vase plunged deeper into his skin.
Tenele didn't stop there... when he was on his knees she kicked him as hard as she could over and over and over in the stomach. She didn't stop. She just kept kicking him and it didn't look as if she would stop until he was dead, or until someone stopped her, or until what little energy she had gave way to exhaustion.

Vlad watched Tenele exact her revenge with a mirthless grin. This was her choice and her pride to avenge, and he would let her go as far as she wanted with it, happily. He looked down dizzily as his back started to complain about all of his moving around, but he wanted to watch Tenele. He was curious how far she could go...
Wait. Tenele wasn't the type to lightly deal with a death on her conscience. Would it really be okay to let her, or would she regret it afterwards? "Maiden girl," he interrupted, looking straight at her. "Is this all right with you?" There was no judgment in his voice, but he wanted her to answer.

Tenele didn't really hear him. She was stuck in her world, where this man was being killed over and over again in any horrible way she could think possible. She saw Sekushi... and she saw this man... It went back and forth between the two and she had never felt more disgusted in her entire life.
It was clear that Tenele wasn't in the house anymore, that she was locked away inside herself and at the moment the person kicking the man was a different side of Tenele that no one had really ever seen. A darker side, one that cared little for how the man should die, only that he would die. That is if someone didn't stop her.
Tenele grabbed the axe like blade from the floor where it had slid to and with out even looking at Vlad for approval she came down with it. And the man was not a man anymore.
He was withering and screaming on the floor, coughing blood from where she had kicked him so many times. He had his hands between his legs, holding the blade where it was lodged.
By now Tenele had grown tired, yet couldn't make herself stop. She kicked him in the head. He rolled over and laid limp for a moment and then moved. She kicked him in the back. It was clear she was weak, she stumbled at the movement. When she kicked him the next time her knees buckled and she hit the floor, panting. She hit him with her fists now... and slowly but surely the old Tenele returned to the surface, and with her return came tears.

Tenele didn't mean to, but Vlad startled her. She swung around and slapped his face. She slapped him pretty hard, and she hadn't meant to. When she saw his crimson eyes and the almost crimson hand print on his cheek she gasped and the tears only fell faster. Her feet and hands were bloody from the blood on the floor and the blood on the mans clothing.
"I'm sorry," she breathed, shaking as if she were cold. Which she wasn't, however it could be that she hadn't noticed. She was wrapped in a blanket, since what was left of her gown had fallen off when she had stood up. She pulled the blanket tighter around her and flew forward, wrapping her arms around Vlad's neck as tightly as she could. She didn't cry out or sob... She just held him really close, her beating heart against his chest, and her victim behind her as still as death.
She closed her eyes and held close to him, afraid he was mad that she hit him.

Vlad sighed and wrapped his arms around her, drawing her in against his chest safely. "I have to say," he spoke quietly as he rubbed her back, "You're quite a strong woman." His cool hand moved up and down her back in a slow circle. He rested the nook of his chin against the top of her head lightly, prepared to sit there for as long as it took to calm her.

Tenele was quite for a moment, silent tears streaking down her cheeks and dripping onto his shoulder. "No I'm not," she said softly, though only he would be able to hear it with his hearing. She forgot he wasn't human sometimes.
She felt safe in his arms, no one could hurt her now... No one could touch her now. She closed her eyes and enjoyed the safety of it all. Enjoyed his protective embrace.
Tenele gasped when she felt a pain unlike anything. She couldn't breath for a moment until she finally realized that the pain wouldn't stop. She forced herself to breath and looked done Vlad's shoulder and saw that there was a sword pushed through to the hilt into his back just under the ribs. Tenele looked down between them, though she couldn't really move out of the way to see, however she already knew that the sword had gone through her as well. Her eyes flashed to Vlad.
Vlad's roars had managed to capture the attention of some guards that were making there rounds, when they couldn't get into the room they had gone for help and were now ramming the thick oak doors to get into the room.
Tenele looked over Vlad's shoulder to see a man who was gravely wounded. His head was bleeding, his hole face had turned red from blood. He swayed with a victorious smile... and then hit the floor dead.
"What horrible luck," Tenele breathed faintly, but stayed real still. "Looks like Death is working hard to claim me, aye?" She was trying to joke, though it didn't feel like a joking moment. She didn't know how bad Vlad was, and if he could take the loss of more blood. However, she knew that she was half-human... and this for her was a mortal wound. However, maybe a healer could be found quickly and they would be fine.... Though, Sinead would not be pleased about her appearance and the fact Vlad was hugging her while she was wrapped in nothing but a blanket.
"I must have pissed someone off..." Her voice was even fainter as he snuggled her face down into his shoulder.

Vlad twitched, and looked slowly behind him at the man who'd just stabbedhim. A faint sound from Tenele made him look back at her and see the sword that had entered her as well. Shit. His mind raced for a course of action as she buried her face in his shoulder, making some joke about death being after her.
Stupid, death was after him, not her. A bunch of psychos were after HIM. This wasn't right... He opened his mouth to speak and choked. Blood spilled from his lips. Damn, damn, damn damn damn.
Soldiers broke down the door and burst into the room, taking in the scene. "Oh my God," murmured one, staring at the gory scene. Vlad turned his head and glared at them, unable to speak. He set his hands on tenele's shoulders demonstratively, demanding that they do something about her. They stared blankly.
Vlad grimaced, clenching his eyes. He reached back and drew the sword out of his back and Tenele's, then threw it towards them. It clattered across the floor, leaving a bloody smatter across the tile. That got their attention.
"Call for emergency medical care," the captain of the guard ordered. Relieved to have direction, two subordinates split off to retrieve any medical assistance that could be found at this time of night.
"Sir, should we notify the queen?" asked one.
"No. We'll see what the other healers can do," the captain said.
Vlad looked back at Tenele, his hands slipping off her shoulders. He pushed her gently onto her back and covered the wound firmly with both hands to slow the bleeding.

Tenele gasped and coughed as the blade slipped out of her. Sh laid gently onto the cold stone floor with the blanket wrapped securely around her, a small trickle of blood poring down the corner of her mouth. She opened her mouth to talk, but said nothing. She tasted blood in her mouth, and she wasn't warm anymore. She was cold.
She shivered as Vlad pressed down hard on her. He was bleeding from the mouth as well. Her green eyes narrowed as she tried to understand if he would be alright or not. "I'll... be fine," she told Vlad and put a shakey bloody hand over his. She looked up at him and smiled, though it wasn't a pretty smile since her teeth were covered in blood. However, she was beautiful anyway. Her skin was pale still, and the red blood on her teeth made her look more like a vampire than even some vampires looked. Her silver hair cascaded over the marble floor, shimmering in the light from the hallway.
"I'm strong remember," she said, reminding him of what he had told her. She looked at his wound and saw that it was poring blood. "Vlad..." she said worriedly. She choked on the blood in her mouth when hse tried to speak again. She fell silent, and decided it was better to save her energy.
She felt so tired suddenly, and thought that she would just close her eyes for a moment to rest. It was alright, Vlad could wake her up when the doctors arrived. "It doesn't hurt anymore," she said after she forced herself to swallow the blood. She blinked her eyes tiredly, flashing them back up at him.
"Thank you..." she said and coughed again... "For saving me from him." She glanced at the man she had literally beat to death.

'Stop talking', Vlad's mind spoke weakly into hers. Finally, a young woman wearing a blue nightrobe and two assistants were escorted into the room. The woman took one look at Tenele and rushed to kneel beside them, taking her pulse rapidly. Her assistants came to either side of her and touched her shoulders, lending magic to her own abilities.
"Hold on, my dear, we're closing it up," she said gently, and closed her eyes. Vlad took his hands away as the healer's replaced his above her wound and glowed a soft blue. Slowly, the wound began closing. It took nearly two minutes to complete the magic, and to Vlad it seemed more like an hour. He leaned forward on his hands to keep himself upright as he watched intently.
When the spell was done, She pulled a piece of blue chalk from her pocket and began sketching a large rune on the ground next to Tenele. "I need a volunteer for blood," she announced to the room. Vlad leaned forward. "No, not you," she said gently, as if she understood his feelings exactly. "Warm blood."

A soldier came forward quickly, wanting to help in some way. "I'll give blood," he said quickly and ran over. He looked down at the pale woman.
Tenele was looking up at Vlad only, her half open eyes staring directly at him. She smiled at him and reached out with a bloody hand to grabb his blood hand and hold it in her own. She wasn't really in her head at the moment. For some reason she could swear she was dreaming. Was it really possible to almost die twice in two days?
The soldier laid down on the ruin, not really knowing full and well what would happen, or what to expect.
