Adonis's ears flicked between Neko and the trial ahead as he followed her, walking a bit nearer to her this time. He still didn't care for the human, but she had piqued his interest, just slightly.

Telanis was startled when she mentioned that Adonis had killed someone. Performing a curse and then being absent as it worked was one thing, but to be there, to feel someone die within your mind... He glanced back at where his brother walked with Neko at the back of the group. He wished he could feel what his brother was feeling right now; wished he could help.

~I don't know how you did it, but he helped you. Adonis swore long ago not to help another human. It has been...years, since he showed such kindness. Regardless of what he went through, you have saved him, if only a little, from his destruction of his own identity.~ But was that as far as it would go, he wondered grimly. His brother had destroyed so much of himself, and tore to shreds with his own hands most of his soul along with his sanity. A spontaneous change of heart now could mean hope (though not much), but it could just as easily be his mind teetering dangerously close to insanity.

His head perked slightly as Kratos suggested they break to make camp. It had been a long day. Not questioning the decision, Telanis slowed to a stop, walking in a small circle around Laya and observing the scenery. "Are we nearing something in particular? he asked Kratos placidly.

Laya smiled, glad to be of some help, if only a little. She patted Telanis lovingly on the back as she too sat down on a boulder to rest. She laid back, throwing an arm over her eyes to rest them. "Are we on the island of Ongoreth, or something else?" she asked softly as something swung over there heads, creating a shadow that moved back and forth.

(OOC: Yall, can decide what the something is.)

A large eagle flew over head. Kratos look speculativly at it, recongizing it.

"I'm not sure," he is a bit distractedly. The large bird struck a memory of his, where he and his father were out praticing and suddenly an eagle perched on the tree above them. His father had told him what it was, saying it was the Golden Feathered Eagle of Onegoreth. The one that flew over head looked like it...

"Wait," he said suddenly realizing where they might be. He jumped to his feet. "I think we may be at Onegoreth!" He said excitedly. Neko heard her brother's shout and her spirits lifted slightly.

"We're finally home." she said, her voice attempting some half hearted happiness.

"Yay," Laya whispered softly so only she could hear and anyone else who had fine hearing. She sat up, running her hands through her tangled hair.

She looked around. Ongoreth hadn't seemed so frightening a moment ago when she didn't know it was Ongoreth.

Why should she be afraid of a place. It's not like Kron was alive or anything. He was dead. He would stay dead. He would never drag her into another cave and rape her again. He would never hurt her. She smiled. There was nothing to fear at all. No man would ever do that to oher again, or come close.

Telanis was thinking about Kratos's theory about their location when his ears picked up the distant sound of hooves on soil. He stopped short and twitched his ears toward the sound, raising his head high. A number of horses were headed in their direction, and from the weight of the steps, they were laden with either baggage or human riders. The jangle of metal, like that of armor or sheathed weapons, accompanied the sounds. He glanced to Adonis and saw that the other unicorn had noticed as well.

~Someone is coming,~ he said in a low voice to the others, wondering if they should try to hide or be found by the approaching party. They were lost and had no supplies... it would be difficult to find shelter without an escort.

Laya stood up and wondered out of the circle for a moment to look at a pretty flower that she had never seen before. It grew on a large tree with thin branches. Pink flower blossomes fell from the tree as the wind tossed the thin branches, and they rode the wind like wings, flying all around.

Laya did not here the sound of the horses or men coming, though they were coming from the path she had wondered on with out noticing, since it was hard to tell where the forest ended and the path began.

Someone is coming, she heard Telanis's voice.

Laya looked down the path, the wind tossing her brown hair. The sunlight shown so brightly and there was an air of fog or dust or something that made it reflect so that you couldn't see past the ray of sunshin. She could faintly hear it though... and soon it grew louder... Finally she saw forms emerging from the light, galloping like gods on horseback.

Kratos squinted his eyes at the oncoming riders. A back feeling shook his spine but he was rooted to the spot with doubt. Maybe they're friendly, he kept thinking. Neko bit her bottom lip as they nervously waited the riders. The sounds of hooves kept growing louder and louder until the men were finally ontop of them

The leader stopped his horse just before running into Laya. "Stupid wrench, get out of the way!" he spat.

"Sir," called a soldier coming behind him. They were all wearing black and red armor. A crimson insignia on their breastplates showing who they belonged to. It looked like two twisted dragons. "They shouldn't even be in the forest! It's off limits!"

"Ah, you're correct soldier..." He turned his attention back to the group. "What are you doing in the forests?"

"We've been shipwrecked." Kratos came up boldly, ultamently branding himself as the group leader. "We're trying to find civilization. Are we on Ongoreth?"

The leader sneered, "Of course you are. The village Keleye is where we came from."

"Keleye?" Neko whispered to herself. That was their home, their village!

"And you are breaking Keleye laws by being within the forests."

"What?" Kratos demanded. "I don't think--"

"The village Keleye is under new rule boy," the leader smiled wickedly. "But since you're shipwrecked and wouldn't have known, we'll let you slide." His smiled was crooked, twisted. "One of my Generals will lead you back there." He signaled for an auburn haired general to come forward.

"Sir,"

"Take these people, and their horses," somethiing the Leader found very odd. Horses were shipwrecked as well? He eyed the horses carefully, and even noted the unusa marks upon their foreheads. "Back to the village. Accquiant yourselves with our laws, or we wont be leneant again." he warned the group and he, and his other men were off again with only the auburn haired general with them.

"Come then," the man said softly, almost kindly, and turned his horse about.

Telanis froze to the spot as the men appeared. Before his horn could be noticed, he caught the clothes Neko had carried for him up in his teeth and darted off into the woods. A minute later, as he half-stumbled back to where the others were in his human form again, he examined the incoming party curiously. Their faces were sharper and their hair and skin were dark, as most Ongorethians were. He looked over at the man with auburn hair who seemed to be escorting them all someplace. Having missed the conversation that would have explained what was going on to him, he walked up near the front, where Kratos and the auburn-haired soldier were, and peered at the Ongorethian stranger with great curiosity from across Kratos's chest.

Kratos looked at Telanis. He startled him just slightly from his sudden change of form. "Uh, he's taking us to the village." Kratos said hurriedly and gestured for the others to follow.

Laya had almost fallen on the ground when she stumbled back to keep the horse from running her over. She smoothed her tattered and singed dress and looked back up at the soldier with a good deal of distaste.

She didn't think it was a good idea to follow them back to this place... She thought maybe they were leading them into a trap, but they couldn't fight this band of soldiers off. So the gray eyed pretty woman walked behind Kratos and Telanis, looking around to make sure they wouldn't be ambushed.

Telanis registered the concept of the village, thinking he understood now. But somehow the mood didn't seem right... He shifted lanes so that he walked between the soldier and Kratos in the path, staring rather blatantly at the man's clothing. He had never seen armor like that in Ighten. Drifting just behind him, he caught sight of a large red feather that was decorating the man's headdress. Too large to belong to any bird he'd seen before. Maybe birds were larger here also, like the spiders. He reached out carefully to touch it.

Laya came up and behind Telanis and grabbed his hand quickly holding it in her smaller one. She shook her head, not saying her a word. She whispered the word, "No." She hoped he would understand that he couldn't touch that... It would get him into trouble.

The soldier looked back behind them and frowned at them, stopping. Not because he was angry, but because he was concerned.

"You're from the ship the exploded out at sea last night?" he asked them.

"Yes...." Laya said, narrowing her eyes slightly. She didn't trust this man... Though, she didn't trust many men period.

Telanis glanced at Laya quietly, letting his hand drop. Her eyes alone were enough to convey her message, but he didn't understand... He looked up again as the soldier turned to them, his hand still half extended to pet the man's feather.

"You're from the ship that exploded out at sea last night?" he asked.

"Yes," Telanis said in his silver voice, glancing uncertainly at Kratos.
