Lore: Looking for sister..

The only known village for the Ishtassy people. These people are very skilled in fighting in the dark art style. They have grown up feeling hatred and loathing for any one but their own kind and only follow the Witch Queen because she is the only one they truly fear.

Drakoe wondered around town ad heard the chaos taking place in the main square. He headed towards the towns center assuming that was where Humarin and Zutasar were.

When he arrived there the battle was over. Zutasar was leaving and Humarin was just standing there. He saw another young woman lying on the ground. He rushed over to Humarin.

"What happened?" he asked not worrying about the fact that she had left him at the moment.

Humarin ran over to her friends side and picked her head up.

"Humarin.. I'm sorry. I.. thought I was helping.. but really I was just... getting in the way. Please.... forgive me." Arili gasped out.

"Arili you have nothing to apologize for, I am the one who cannot save my sister, please forgive me for not being able to do anything when you needed help." Humarin stared at the pool of blood growing.

"No.. Humarin.. I chose.. to do this because... I love you. I have... since the first time.. we met.. I wanted to... help you." A few flakes melted on her cheek and she smiled and let out one short laugh.

Arili placed a hand on Humarin's cheek then let out a pained gasp just before her heart slowly stopped. One crystal drop fell onto Arili's dress.

"I won't let anyone else be hurt; I promise you Arili." Humarin whispered at her dead friends side. "I guess you got your wish, you told me once that you wanted to die in the arms of the one you loved and in the snow. You said it was because the snow was pure. I'm glad you got your wish, but now I wish that I had stopped my sister somehow."

*******************************************

Zutasar smiled a bit and thought, 'That's right suffer just as I have.' The doll in her arms smiled as well just as the demon in the cave did.

"Humarin." She began outloud. "If you want me to stop then kill me yourself."

--------------------------------------------------------

Even though Humarin wasn't in earshot she shivered as the thought that she'd have to really kill her sister crossed her mind. 'If that is the only way then I will do it, but perhaps there is another so that both of us can live...'

At dusk the snow stopped falling and Arili's body was burned along with the rest of the dead. Humarin stayed at the local in curled up in a ball in her room, her hair wet from the snow, shivering without any blankets.

'Arili..' Humarin's thoughts began.

Drakoe walked into the inn where Humarin had went.

"Has a young lady come in here tonight?" he asked the innkeeper. He described the girl and the innkeeper pointed Drakoe in her direction.

He approached the door to her room and knocked softly.

Surprised by the knock on the door Humarin jumped. She wiped off her face and answered it.

"Yes? Oh it's you.." Humarin stared for a moment. "Would you like to come inside or should I step out?" Humarin opened the door wide enough for him to enter or her to exit.

Drakoe cracked a slight smile. "It doesn't matter. It's up to you. I would just like to talk to you."

He still didn't know why she had left and wanted to get some kind of explanation.

Humarin thought for a moment, "Let's go for a drink. Don't worry I won't slip away this time." And she meant it too.

Humarin walked outside of the room and went to the bar. She ordered a drink and took a big gulp out of it when it came.

'Maybe I should explain why I snuck away earlier..' Humarin thought as she stared at the golden liquid in the glass.

Drakoe chugged down the fire brandy he ordered and smiled. "That's fine, right there."

He smiled at Humarin, "So... are you going to tell me why you left me without telling?"

Humarin smirked a bit.

"I left without a word because I wanted to go after my sister alone; but I don't know if I can keep it up now." Humarin took another big gulp. "Besides I don't really want a relationship with any man until I save her.." Humarin's words trailed off as she lost herself in space.

"A relationship?" Drakoe responded, "No one ever said anything about a relationship... I was only looking for her because she was one of my jobs..." He hesitated, "Then I met you... and decided I could help you instead of kill her."

"But if you didn't want my help all you had to do is say so," He took another drink of brandy.

"Even helping is a type of relationship." Humarin chuckled a bit. "I never said I didn't want your help. I just want to save My sister without killing her. I do want your help but it only one area of my search, tracking her down."

Humarin gulped down the rest of the beer. Humarin's head was a bit fuzzy. "I know that a demon is controlling my sister and that she's killing priestesses. Will you be able to help me defeat the demon and release my sister?"

A maid brought another drink for Humarin. Humarin drank another mouthful.

He laughed a bit as the maid brought another beer to Humarin. "Can I get you another brandy?" The waitress asked Drakoe.

"No thank you," he replyed. He didn't care for drinking a whole lot at one time and the brandy had quenched his thirst.

He finished his last little bit and said, "Of coarse, I can help you. I never intended on killing your sister after meeting you... I just wanted to help you..."

He glanced back down at her new mug of beer. "Can you handle your alcohol?"

Humarin drank about half of the next glass and shrugged, "Of course I can; I think."

Humarin suddenly got realy close t Drakoe's face. "I never noticed how cute you were before. You're very cute you know and I'm not just saying that either."

Humarin stood up and then fell over laughing.

((Hehe a happy drunk. ^_^))

Drakoe laughed at Humarin. He helped her to her feet. "I think you've had enough..." he said still laughing.

He laid a couple of gold coins on the table and nodded to the waitress. "Thank you for everything, but I think we're going to call it a night."

Humarin leaned against Drakoe again, "Your right."

She already knew she would be in a lot of pain in the morning. "I thought that being a priestess would be easy work but it's terribly painful." Humarin stared off into space through her messed up hair. "Drakoe, please tell the room to stop spinning."

Humarin's face was a bit red for one reason or another, she was half dreaming already as she 'watched' her memories slide by.

Drakoe held Humarin up and escorted her to the room. He put her arms around him to help keep her balanced.

He opened the door to the room and took her to the bed. He laid her down and removed her shoes. "Are you going to be okay?" he asked. "Would you like me to stay here or get my own room?"
