Lore: Drakeshead Inn and Tavern

The Captial of Arken, it is the darkest known city in the world. As it is the capital and the home to the Witch Queen herself, it is a very dangerous place to enter. Home to the toughest and roughest crooks around.

Daylan smiled slightly at that, "Yes I suppose I am." he laughed mirthlessly at that. It pained him to see her that hurt. He himself had come through the whole thing with barely even a scratch.

"Well only one solution I can think of for that. I have a tub in my personal room. We'll get you a bath ready, and get you some new clothes." he said as he looked upstairs, "I'll get your clothes, Joe prepare her bath." he said before he began chanting. Then he reached out his hand as though grabbing for something and jerked down suddenly. A tear seemed to appear in the world, but in a bright flash he was gone into it and the world righted itself.

Ora's mouth fell open in surprised at what she saw. She hadn't expected something like that to ever happen with what he was doing.

Joe looked at her at the same time he turned his head towards her. They both shrugged and Joe stood up.

"I'll get that water ready, you wait right here..." He said and went upstairs to try and find the room that Daylan was talking about.

When he found the room he pumped what into buckets and filled the bath tub up slightly, taking a kettle and heating up more water until when it was finished the tub was filled and steam floated up from the top.

He was turning to go and get Ora when he found her leaning tiredly against the wall. "I told you to stay down there..."

"I felt lonely," she said softly and hobbled over to where he was. "Thanks... but I'd like to take it from here..." She waited until he had left and she took off her ragged clothes and sank into the steaming hot water.

Daylan appeared on top of Ora's home in the same rift that had taken him from the tavern. "Woops." he said before sliding down to the ground and dropping in pain. He groaned for a moment before entering the house. The door was locked, but he whispered a word and it opened.

He serached about for a short while, before finding two sets of clothes for Ora. He looked at that and nodded, the would work. He began chanting the same words that he had earlier and opened the portal.

He stepped in and suddenly found himself watching Ora taking a bath, "Woops." he said, smiling meekly, before dropping the clothes and running out the door.

Ora hugged herself when she heard a "woops". She looked out just in time to see the back of Daylan's head go uot the door and notice her cloths on the floor.

She knew he wouldn't have done it on perpose, he probably didn't expect Joe to draw the bath that quick.

When she was finished she dried off slowly and dressed slowly. Wanting nothing more now than to curl up in a nice warm bed on with a blanket beside a fire... She slowly stepped down the staircase, holding onto the railing for support.

Daylan stood outside the door, trying to think of something besides just seeing Ora naked. It was difficult for him, to say the least. He sighed as he ran a hand through his hair and walked down the stairs to the common room. "I need a drink." he mumbled to himself as he picked up the bottle and drank straight from it.

Ora stepped he last step into the downstairs part of the tavern. She didn't feel emberassed about Daylan being in the room when she was bathing because she didn't feel like he had seen anything of her...

She walked slowly into the room towards the bar, yawning slightly.

"Thank you, my muscles feel better.."

Daylan took another drink of the rum before corking itr and rubbing his eyes. That had been... sufficiently awkard. And a rather good view... he thought to himself for a brief moment.

He looked at Ora and turned slightly red, "Hello there... i-it's no problem at all. "

Ora took her seat at the bar again and rested her head on her arms. She felt a bit awkard for some reason, but guessed it was because she had been the damsel in distress... again.

Joe looked at Ora. "We're leaving and going some place else..." he went a head and broke the news to her.

"Mmhmm..." Ora said softly, glancing at Daylan for a moment. "And where are we going?"

"Uh..." Joe said. "I haven't really got an idea... But any place but Arken..."

Daylan looked at them both through the brief exchange, "Ighten." It had seemed long ago since he had spoken the name, "That is the best place. My fmaily ought to be there, we can go to them."

He rubbed a hand through his hair unconciously "It will be safe there." he murmured softly.

Joe looked up. Indeed Ighten was the best place to go. He didn't know how he would ever repay Daylan for what he had done and was still doing.

Ora smiled softly. "I always wanted to go there... But, Arken people aren't allowed across the Border..." she said dismally. she must have been hit too hard because she forgot that her brother was a smuggler... he could get almost anything across the Border.

Daylan felt rather giddy on the inside. He hadn't seen hsi family for a while. It would be good to see them all again. He was jolted out of his temporary reverie by Ora's words, "You must have hit your head on something Ora. Your brother smuggles people over the border for a living, I'm sure he can get us over."

Ora looked up at him. For a moment nothing registered, and she guessed it was because she was tired. Finally it clicked. "Oh, yes..." Joe glanced at his sister. "He mostly uses boats though, don't you Joe?"

"Yes... so I don't have to leave you for long periods of time, but I have traveled to the Border once or twice to get people over... Its not that hard, there isn't nearly as much guards as there should be. It will be a breeze..."

Daylan allowed her to take her time with her answer. She might have a concussion after all, he thought, before thinking to find someone to heal her. "Let's hope it's easier than just living here." he said with a small laugh.

"We must leave soon. I fear there may be more guards where those came from." he said before walking about his tavern. All going to waste.

(Sorry for the long reply, have had no internet).

Ora watched him sadly as he walked around his tavern. It wasn't fair that he had to leave a place that he had made. He shouldn't have to leave it on her account.

She felt horrible then, for ever running into his tavern that night. She should have just let the guards do what they liked... Then Daylan would never have to give up his tavern and he wouldn't have gotten in trouble by the guards for helping her.

"Daylan..." she said softly. "Its not right that you should have to leave a place you worked hard for... I don't want to be the cause of your unhappiness."

Joe watched his sister, but knew that she couldn't change what had happened no matter what.

OOC: Its okay. I'm patient.

Daylan ran his hand over the dark wood of the bar before resting the liquor on it with a sigh. Always on the run he thought with a sad smile.

"It is all right. I do not think I can be happy in this city. We will go to Ighten, and there I can start anew, with the second Drakeshead."

He turned to the two, any of his emotion replaced by stoicism, "Then when do we leave?"
