Neko shook her head. She didn't know where they were at all. She layed down on the sand, she was wet and cold. She shivered slightly. "We need to build a fire." she stated. It was more for Kratos to hear but he never responded.
"Brother!" she sat up, yelling for him but he was sleeping too deeply. She groaned and managed to get to her feet. "I need to build a fire.." she said, she knew how to make one... She just didn't want to go by herself.

Laya sat to his side, where his head was, and leaned against a tree. She brought her knees up to her chest and wrapped her arms around her wet dress. "I'll stay here until you're better."
She shivered, resting her head on her knees. She coughed, her wear eyes looking up at the white sand. The clouds were starting to part and the moon lit the white sand with a pale glow.
There was a lump that was rising out of the water and walking towards the shore. She glanced at Adonis. It would be hard for whoever it was to see him, since he blended in with the shadows... But, she was wearing a pale violet dress...
"I can't let him find you..." she said softly to Adonis.
She grabbed a large stick. She walked out of the shadows, because he could already see her.
It was the captain...

No, but if he wants a horse to ride... He's taking you... I'm not letting him hurt you!
"I thought you were burried under a burning sail, whore," the captain said.
"What can I say, I'm like a cat... I have nine lives..." Laya said, holding the stick in her hands.
"There about to all go away," the captain growled.
"Why is it that when evil men don't get there way they take it out on anyone near them?"
She seemed braver than usual. Just like she had been on the ship. It was because she was protecting someone. She never cared about what would happen to herself if it meant saving someone.
"Its fun. Besides, you offered yourself to me. I might not kill you yet. I want to see what that vampire saw in you." He rushed at her and Laya spun around, almost falling from her weak legs. She hit the captain in the back and he growled.
"I guess he liked the fighters," she muttered and at the moment all she could see was Kron... She wanted to kill him again. Kill his memory...
She growled as the captain rushed at her again. She hit him again, but fell this time. She got up, but he had the advantage. He grabbed her hair and through her to the sandy floor.
She rolled over and grabbed the stick, hitting him in the leg. He fell down next to her and she hit his side, while she fought to get up.

Adonis couldn't believe the girl was doing this. She was going to get killed. He grunted and put all his effort into returning to his legs, but if they'd been unresponsive before, they were utterly dead now. He watched as the pirate drew out a knife from his belt and drew it back to stab the girl. ~DO NOT~ he commanded, his voice booming in just the pirate's head. The man froze and grabbed his head in shock, having no clue what had just happened and leaving him off guard.

Laya growled and kicked the man in the ribs then hit him on the head as hard as she could. He was knocked out cold as far as she could tell. But, to her it was kron lying there dead for a moment before he became the pirate.
She had just enough energy to make it back into the shadows. She fell to her knees and then to her side.
"Well, now we don't have to worry about him..." she said softly. Suddenly fading into coughs. "Too much salt water..."
She realized to that her burns were burning from the sad she had just collected when the pirate through her to the ground.

~.......You're going to get a fever lying there,~ he warned her. It had been a long, long time since he'd openly missed his healing abilities. ~If.... You may-....~ he trailed off. It was just too awkward to tell her she could curl against him for warmth. Once, when he was like his brother, he wouldn't have thought anything of it, but he had come to live among humans, and learned to understand the darkest aspectst of their sexuality. That knowledge made him wary that she would misinterpret him.

Laya sighed and crawled over to Adonis. She laid down against his stomach, her arms crossed over her chest as she pressed against his stomach. His body was hot... and she suddenly realized she was snuggling up to a horse.
"Thank you..." she said softly. She was warming up, and her shivering soon stopped.
She didn't understand him. She wondered if he was only pretending to care about her welfair and health... But, he didn't give her the impression he meant her ill will... Then again... He hadn't given her that vibe before.
But, Laya was too tired to even move. She had been holding on for too long...

Adonis took a deep breath of approval as she pressed against him. He could feel her cold body absorbing the heat from his. He lay his head forward on his knees. So much had happened that day that he didn't know how to begin making sense of it. Who knew what he would think of all this in the morning. All he knew was he had to sleep. He would have preferred to wait for her to sleep first, but he was out immediately, his sleek body falling quite still and his breathing evening out peacefully.
