Rai wasn't hungry she just continued to play in the grass, working her way down to the shore of the river and flopping down in the sand and mud. She was still wearing Soran's shirt and her under clothes so getting dirty didn't matter. The child was in need of a serious bath, but children don't care about things like that.

She just began to form globs of mud into things that resembled houses to her.

Siren looked over at Soran, then jumped down from her perch. She wasn't feeling as hungry after the encounter with the woman, but she went in and got some food anyway, flopping down onto the couch to eat.

Soran ate his food, watching Rai play in the river mud in the distance. His hand felt idly under his shirt to the hard white scar on his abdomen, which, like his other scars, held no meaning for him except that he knew it once had a meaning. He twitched his head suddenly as if shaking off all the morose introspections that kept plaguing him, and focused on Rai playing.

Rai built a pile of mud and sand into a cone shape and stuck twigs all down the side of it and began to talk to the ants beside the mound that began to crawl over it curiously.

"Here you go," she said and made a hole. "Now you can get into your castle!" Rai said and giggled as one of the ants crawled into the hole.

She poked holes all over the mound of dirt so more of her "friends" could get into the castle.

Poor Rai didn't know that she was sitting in a pile of angry ants that weren't curious as to why the castle had been built for them, but why such a big being was sitting ontop of there only way back into there home.

Rai felt a slight stinging sinsation over her feet, then her ankles.

"Ahh!" Rai said and jumped up dancing a very unusual dance that require her to slap her ankles and legs and feet. "Ants... Mean ants! I built you a castle!" She had ants going all over her hands and feet and legs, mean ants that wished the huge being would quit jumping around so they could get off.

Mizuki combed her fingers through her hair as she went downstairs. She saw that the others had already dug into the food and served herself a plate while greeting Siren.

"Anything interesting happen?" she asked. She could hear Rai yelling outside but Mizuki's senses knew there wasn't any danger, so she assumed she was playing. She didn't realize the poor girl was being attacked by biting ants.

"Nothing much," Siren said, smiling. "We got some clothes, but our trip was cut short becaue of some snobby rich woman ruining the mood."

Siren shrugged. "I guess we'll have to go shopping for food supplies some other time."

Mizuki blinked as she muched on the food. "oh." was all she could think to say. She looked out to the door and saw Soran standing there. "Did the woman say something to Soran...?" she inquired.

As Soran watched, Rai's calm playing suddenly turned into a wild dance and she seemed to be shouting at the ground in childish fury. Tilting his head intriguedly, the rogue allowed a slight grin to play on his face. Her playfulness was refreshing, even if she was being attacked by ants.

The more Rai got off the more got on her. She fled into the water hoping to drown them, but they bit in and held there breath she guessed, because when she got out they were still on. "So mean!" She said and trampled down the castle she built for them. "There! Ahh!"

Rai ran around in circles and slapped at her legs, the dance caused her to fall over. She rolled around on the ground, getting dirt and dry grass all over her.

"Yeah, sort of. She had the nerve to insinuate that we were poor peasantry that couldn't buy clothes enough to cover us, just because Soran wasn't wearing a shirt - which she must have been crazy to complain about - and Rai had ripped the one she was wearing. So we didn't help her when she got mugged."

Mizuki giggled at Siren's point of why anyone would complain about seeing Soran topless. But she choked when she said that the woman got mugged. Mizuki pounded her chest trying to unclog her suffocating throat. Finaly, she coughed and disloged the food that had gotten caught. After that little crisis was over, she wanted to scold them all, but now...she figured it was probably too late to help the snobbish woman. She made a non-satisfied sound in the back of her throat and finished eating.

When she finished, she put her plate down on the table absently and excused herself from the room. From there she went outside and resisted the urge to bop Soran on the back of the head. So instead, she watched with arched brows Rai's little roll in the dirt.

"What is she doing?"

Siren supressed a giggle as Mizuki left the room. She knew what the reaction would be, so she had left out the details about Rai's interest in the group so that at least she wouldn't worry about what might have happened. She finished up her food and took the plate to the kitchen to clean it.

Rai laid on the ground kicking her legs into the air and swinging her arms. "Ahhhh!" she said. "It itches!!! Stupid mean ants!"

"Rai made some friends," Soran answered, grinning and wondering how long it would take the girl to figure out to come back to the house instead of running around the anthill. Supposing he was being cruel, he shouted out to Rai to come back where they were so they could get the ants off her.

Rai got up and ran to the house, beating herself all over and going, "Ahhhh!" She shook her head back and forth, her curly locks flying around her.
