"No, I don't know where we're going. We need to find some kind of shelter. Watch out for the Raith...." She said. Her words were a bit muffled by the cloth she had wrapped around her face and the sandstorm, but she was pretty sure Koythina could hear her. “Whatever you do don’t let a Raith injure you in anyway.” She didn’t know if the Raith would be able to control Koythina like they would be able to control her, but she didn’t want to take any chances.
She took her scimitar out of its sheath. If she saw a Raith, she intended on killing it before it could get close enough to injure her. There was no way she would be taken. Not today...not ever.
The sandstorm was horrible. They needed to find a way out of it, or somewhere to be sheltered until it was over. All Xheria could think of was the house, though, and she knew that wouldn’t work. It was probably swarming with Raithers. How had they known where they were going?
She put all of that out of her mind though, and focused on her own survival, hers and Koythina’s. Shelter would be found; either that, or the sandstrorm would pass by eventually. Until then, all they could do was keep looking, and keep their eyes peeled for Raithers.

Koythina gritted her teeth. She had never really meet Raiths before, but she knew they tased awful by their smell. Even with all this wind and sand she could possibly tell when one was coming.
She kept her guard up, just incase.

Rowe disappeared as the wind and sand drowned the light from inside the house out. He could only see figures moving in the sand. Black shadows he could follow less and less. He decided it was a useless cause. But, just as he was running away he felt a sharp twing of pain in his side as one of the Raith's finally found there target. He quickly killed him, pulling the dagger from his side. It wasn't a bad wound, so Rowe kept going, heading in the directon he thought the girls had gone.

Xheira was looking as hard as she could for a place where they could get shelter from the sandstorm. It was really hard to see through the swirling sand; it limited her vision. She was hoping that she would have some luck anyway.
She was just running along with all of a sudden she was falling. It was a short fall, only about 4 feet. She landed on one knee; she quickly got back to her feet, but as she was she noticed something. She took a closer look at the cliff face she had just fallen from. She noticed a hallow area, it offered some protection from the storm, maybe they could ride it out there without attracting notice form the Raithers.
“Hey, Koythina, watch out there’s a short drop, but I think I found something. Come have a look.”

Koythina faintly heard Xheira's voice from the howling wind. But she heard it, but too late. Koythina fell forward from the drop and was welcomed by a mouthfull of sand. Sitting up, she took her time spitting out the sand and making choking noises.
"Bleh,'' she coughed and finally got enough sand out of her mouth to be somewhat comfortable. "So what did you find?" she asked still spitting out sand. She noted that the sand storm wasn't as bad in this... place.

“Sorry,” Xheira said apologetically. “I tired to warn you.” They were in something that looked close to a shallow bowl only it had a more oval shape that a circular one. One side, the side they’d fallen from, had a hollowed out area in it. It was a shallow cave.
“I think we might be able to hide here, at least to see if Rowe is going to come looking for us." Rowe had to come back. "I’m sure we could walk for hours in this sandstorm and not find anything.”
Xheira crawled down toward the cave to check it out.
“At least here the sand wont hit us so badly, and we can hid from the Raith.”

Koythina thought about it for awhile, staring at their only good option. "First," she started. "Call me Koy." She smirked. "Second, I like the way you think." Koythina slithered closer to the shallow cave opening and tasted the air inside it. Nothing living within... seemed safe.
Koythina back away a bit so Xheria could go in first. She took her time to watch their surrroundings before entering after her.

Rowe continued on through the sand storm, the sand hitting his skin like needles being thrown at him, and his eyes kept getting things in them. Rowe held his wound, it wasn't enough to kill him, but it would be if he didn't get out of the storm.
Rowe stumbled along until there wasn't anything under his feet too catch him and he fell into a cavern that was about six feet deep and three feet wide.
Rowe landed with a thud and after a moment of just lying there he pushed himself up and felt his way along the wall. Though there was hardly any sand blowing through the cavern he couldn't see for the sand already in his eyes.
It was rather stupid to give his cloak and mask away to Xheira, but she needed it more than he did... or maybe not.

"Alright, Koy it is," Xheira said. Xheira entered the cave cautiously; she trusted Koy's judgment, but it was always better to stay alert. She had to bend down to get inside the cave, it wasn’t a very wide opening. It felt much better once she was in the cave. The force of the storm was lessened here. She went to one side of the cave and sat down with her back leaned against the hard rock.
She thought about Rowe and hoped that he was safe somewhere. Her gaze drifted outside of the cave. It might have been that the storm was lesser inside, but it seemed as if the storm was actually calming down a bit.
“I think it might be over soon, Koy,” she commented.

"I would hope so." Koythina said as she eased herself inside the cave. She kept flicking her tounge, tasting the air. Everything seemed fine.
"By the way, what is it that you are running from?"

Xheira's face grew grim as she anwsered, "The Raithers are after me. They found out that I was heading the operations to get females out of the city. I had to get out before they took me. Rowe, he's different from the rest of the males, he offered to help me out. It seems that they followed us. I can't let them catch me.." I'll die first, she thought.
Xheira turned a questioning eye on Koythina. "So how did you end up where you did when we found you? I mean, I've never met one of you kind before, so I don't really know much."

Rowe felt along the canyon walls, though it was more of a trench. Soon he was having to crawl because the walls had gotten that low. He couldn't see with so much sand in his eyes. Only water would flush this out.
His skin was red from how hard the sand beat into him. He kept going though, he wasn't a weak man who gave up that easily. Soon he was coming into view of the cave, though he could not see it.

Koythina listened. She couldn't imagine how Xheria's life must be like with women enslaved.
"So how did you end up where you did when we found you? I mean, I've never met one of you kind before, so I don't really know much."
Koythina looked up at her and sighed. "There was a power struggle in my tribe... a Revolution is happening among Nagas where..." she thought for a moment on how to explain. "Naga's have to replenish their human," she motioned to her upper body, "Blood every thousand or so years, but some Nagas have it in their head that it's because of our human blood that we're mortal but live long. So, they're deciding to stop that tradition... But my father, our Tribe's headmaster would not drop traditions and mated with a human female. Thus making me... I was, tolerated until our people finally snapped and attacked us." Koythina sighed again, remembering the attack, it was still so recent, maybe only a month or two ago.
"My father's last order was to save me, so I was exiled away from our tribe..." she finished her tale, grimmed faced. She remembered seeing her Stepmother and brother's dead forms lying in their home during the revolt. She remembered her father enraged and attacking like a madman...
And she remembered him calling out to her in a pain voice, and telling her to leave to save herself.

Xheira shook her head. That all sounded bad for Koythina. She had a new respect for her now. “So now you’re an exile, like me,” Xheria said softly. Her thoughts went to her own city. She missed it. It was beautiful even though the people were corrupt. “Maybe one day you could return to your tribe in peace..” she said hopefully. She knew she wanted to go back to her city one day.
She pulled her legs close to her chest and brushed a strand of red hair back from her face. Her thoughts turned to Rowe “I wonder if Rowe’s still alive...”she said voicing her thoughts worriedly.

"I plan on going back." Koythina sai, stating it as a fact, not a possibility.
“I wonder if Rowe’s still alive...” Koythina watched Xheira's face for a moment. The emotions she saw on the girl's face were new to her. Love, was not something Nagas knew entirely. Just deep affection, but never a true loyalty to someone.. Oddly enough, love was something Koythina was unconsciously looking for.
She looked back outside through the caves opening, the storm was begining to die. "He... should be fine." Another thing she said as a fact.
