Kyosuke nearly panicked when he felt Shinobu slip away from him for a moment and calmed himself when she came back. "It's alright, don't worry, help will come eventually." He said this as much to assure Shinobu as it was to assure himself. He was now really wondering where Vlad was, Shinobu was slowly slipping away. He wouldn't forgive the no life king if he let her die.

Kami followed the horse throughout the monastary on her winged feet. They came to a large door... she had seen this door before. But before she could react or memorize it, Kami kicked the door open and rode into a bright but receding light. Kaze squinted.

"KAMI!" she cried out causing some monks to lose their concentration. In the middle of the glowing floor Kami stood like a statue. Only a wailing statue. 'Wailing..? It sounds like a man in pain...!!' Kaze thought trying to block her eyes from the brightness.

A final flash broke throughout the room and some monks fell to the floor like rag folls. The light receded finally and Kaze ran in expecting to find her horse lying on the ground bleeding... but she didn't. Instead she found a rather nude man laying in the fetile position, his back to her, on the floor. He had a lean build from what she could make out and slightly pointed ears. He had a long dark mane of hair spewing about his shoulders and the floor. Kaze ran around him, forgetting about her missing horse for only a second, and she went to the man's side thinking he was a monk caught in some trouble.

"Sir! Are you alright?!" she called to him shaking his shoulder. He had a beautiful face and when his eyes flickered open she gasped. 'Green with purple flecks around the edges...' she thought. Those eyes were familiar to her. "Kami..." she whispered and the naked half elven man smiled weakly at her.

What do you think you're doing? What's going on here?" demanded the high priest, stepping out toward Kami and Kaze disapprovingly. He looked exhausted, as though he had just expended all his energy on some huge task. Monks rushed to help their felled brethren where Kami had stampeded in, looking at the pair in the center of the room distrustfully.

Vladimir forced his eyes open, half-blinded from the bright holy light that had transported him. A few yards away stood a very perturbed looking monk, staring toward the temple in confusion. "I hope that horse isn't going to cause any trouble inside the temple," the monk murmured to himself.

The man looked even more unsettled as he turned to find the No-Life King struggling to his feet just beside him. "W-.....what are you doing here?" he asked, his voice a mixture of reluctant concern and fear.

Vlad ignored the monk and looked around alertly, regaining his bearings. He didn't understand what had just happened. And there was something else..something urgent. He cleared his head and thought back. Finally, he recalled what had happened to Shinobu, and his claim that he would find help.

What a nuisance, he thought flatly, though for the moment he could not go back into the temple with any hope of kicking that bloated priest's ass.

"Uh, excuse me?" the monk was saying, peering at the apparently spaced-out vampire anxiously.

Vladimir stood a little straighter and eyed the monk proudly, though he didn't seem well. The last thing he wanted was to be near any more holy men in his state. He recognized the monk - it was the doctor who had tended to Kyosuke earlier. He opened his mouth to speak down to the man, but was too ill to speak safely. Without warning, he abruptly grabbed the monk by the arm and began dragging him along down a sidestreet toward Kyosuke and Shinobu's location.

The monk gasped fearfully as the apparently weak vampire seemed to clutch him and drag him along with perfect strength, panicking. He struggled against Vlad's grip as he was tugged down the street, but Vlad was practically carrying him at a rapid pace. When the vampire finally stopped and allowed him to find his footing, his looked up fearfully, only to find the samurai he'd treated earlier hovering over a deathly still form lying in a pool of blood.

"What's g-going on here?" he stuttered in shock as Vlad released him and shoved him ungently toward the outsiders.

Kyosuke turned and saw the monk and Vlad. "Oh man, thank the gods you're back Vlad," he said. "Shinobu is slipping away." The samurai ushered the doctor over to the woman he was serving. "Please, do whatever you can to save her."

He turned to Vlad. "So what took you so long?" he asked. "I was starting to get worried that you abandoned us."

Vlad looked at Kyosuke with a casual smirk. "It would seem the city was a bit more difficult to navigate than expected. They should really pass out travel guides at the gate," he commented dryly.

The doctor knelt hesitantly at Shinobu's side across from Kyosuke and lifted his hands briefly off of the wound, looking at it carefully.

"This is a dagger wound...but who--"

"Save the forensics for later, baldy," Vlad interrupted more sharply than expected.

The doctor seemed to curl into himself at Vlad's reprimand, looking closer at the wound. "She's lucky it didn't cut into anything vital," he said, pulling a salve and bandages from a pouch at his belt. "It's a straight, clean wound, so it should heal quickly, but the issue is how to stop her bleeding. If she's lost this much already, she may not have the strength to heal, even with my prayers."

He took out a small glass bottle full of clear liquid and handed it to Kyosuke. "Help her drink this. Holy water," he instructed, pulling her clothes back from the wound and dressing it with salve to clot her blood.

Vladimir stood with his arms crossed and observed the situation with a stone-faced expression.

OOC: quick question... what happened to TALON!? -stares at Emora-

"What do you think you're doing? What's going on here?" demanded the high priest. Kami and Kaze looked up like two teenagers caught in their bought of young love. Kaze blinked away her confusion and fear and surprise and stood to face the preist.

"I have absolutly no idea sir!" she said truthfully. Kami, without the slightest bit of shame for himself, stood up behind Kaze and held her arm to steady himself. His hand moved down her arm causing Kaze to shudder in either pleasure or disgust...she didn't know, his hand clasped her's tightly.

The monks looked bewildered and flabbergasted at the half elf's naked form.

"If you please..." the newly created man Kami spoke in a calm, deep voice. "It seems that whatever holy powers you manifested in here has eversed my curse... for how long I don't know... but now that I'm man again... could one of you spare me some robes?" He spoke so calmly and with a slight bit of humor in his voice. Kaze blinked at him, she was at loss for words along with everyone else in the room.

The high priest raised his hand and gestured toward one of the monks at the edge of the room, who obediently removed his outer robe and carried it to Kami.

"I take it you came in with the outsiders this afternoon," the priest analyzed somewhat distrustfully. "Can you explain your reasoning for bursting into this building of God and injuring my men in the aftermath of a taxing spiritual?" There was no humor in the Priest's voice.

Kami took the robe with an amused smirk and wrapped it about himself nodding. "Aye I was with this group." he said. "I was as this lovely maiden's horse!" He bowed to Kaze exageratedly and she blushed. "And of course I can explain myself. What idiot just barges into a room without explanation?!" Kaze giggled uncontrolably which gave Kami the edge to go on with his mocking.

"As an animal you get a sixth sense sooo, I sensed danger in your monastary.." he pointed a finger in the preists face. "And came bolting in to try and stop it... but I have a bad sense of direction when panicking!" Kami seemed pleased with his explanation.

The high priest frowned at the man's disrespectful manner, but did not disagree with his explanation. "Your senses informed you well. However, the dangerous element you sensed has been handled already. By what magic were you placed in the body of a horse?" he asked in a tense, but patient voice.

Kami raised a brow at the man and gave him a stern stare. He looked serious for a moment before replying:

"I have absolutly no idea!" he said truthfully. Kaze looked at him. "And by the way, this wasn't the danger I was looking for. Come Kaze!" He grabbed Kaze's hand and lead her out the door to find the bleeding Shinobu.

The priest frowned as the outsiders ran out of the temple again. "Have Talon notified that he should gather his traveling companions and depart from our monastery by dawn tomorrow. They are a disruption to this community. The vampire is to be removed immediately, before he can do any further harm. He should not have been admitted here in the first place," he instructed regretfully. Three monks bowed humbly and left the room to carry out the priest's request.

Kami lead Kaze down the halls before she yanked her hand free, fed up with the charade.

"Alright who are you and what have you done with my horse?" she demanded. Kami turned around and gave her an inquiering look.

"Why I just told you within the confines of that room. I am Kami." he told her again. Kaze looked at him with unbelieving eyes.

"How...?"

"That, my dear, is a story for another hour." he took her hand again, more gently this time. "I believe we have some friends to see to." Kaze nodded and they made their way down the halls. Somehow they actually found them.

"Oh Gods! What happened?!" Kaze cried out, rushing forward. Kami stood in the background with his arms folded. He gave Vlad a curious look as to say: 'You with the fangs! We should talk!'

Vlad raised an eyebrow as the elf girl rushed to the scene along with an unfamiliar figure wearing an incomplete monk's uniform. He turned and cast the stranger a half-interested smirk. "I wouldn't have thought the elf girl would pick up a man so rapidly - and a monk, no less. Aren't you people celibant, or some such nonsense," he commented to the half-dressed man.

Kami laughed. "Never judge a book by its cover Vlad!" Kami grinned. "But leave Kaze out of this, after my brief nudeness in front of her I could already tell she wasn't interested."

Kaze's ears perked up and she turned red at hearing Kami talk about that. 'That's right...he was naked!' she thought, her ears burning. She hadn't even took notice!

"Besides, shouldn't vampires be dead in sunlight?" Kami retorted.

OOC: I kept Talon in the room for Ylia's sake. But, I don't believe Nickole is able to come to a computer to post. :/ I guess we could pretend she's along. Though if she would post *pokes Nickole* She could heal Shinobu! But, I guess for now we can move with out her. I'll talk to Nickole tomorrow about posting.

Shinobu wasn't even registering the fact that Kyosuke was no longer hovering over her. She just stared up into the darkness above her. Taking breaths that didn't even feel like she was breathing or look like she was breathing.

She didn't know if she could hold on much longer. She would try her best. For Kyosuke's sake.

* * *

*Here's Talon!!!* :P

Talon was still leaning against the wall in the room with Ylia and an awkuard silence around them. "So... I wonder what's taking them so long. Kyosuke seemed pretty upset about it... Maybe I should go check on them? I'll return, don't worry..."

Talon walked to the door and closed it behind him. He walked down the halls until finally, after a few minutes he came on to the bloody scene in which most of all his commrads were gathered.

"What the (bleep) happened!!" *snickers* Talon's eyes widened. He was so shocked that all thoughts of Ylia left his brain.
