Neko and Katos walked side by side. Watching, and listening to Telanis and Laya. Neko had a small smirk on her face as she thought of a devious plan that could make two people-er, a person and a unicorn-happy.

Kratos, however, was worried about Laya. Her codition was sudden and she had seemed dellusional, freaing something... But he didn't want to pry into her life just has much as he wanted to understand.

Telanis was glad that Laya's spirits seemed to have risen, even if he didn't understand the wave of guilt when she pulled her hand away. Looking over his shoulder, he saw a building with a curtained opening and people coming in and out. Noodles and seafoods were painted on a sign over the entrance, and various smells were wofting from it. "There's food," Telanis announced, looking back to Kratos to reinforce his theory, because he wasn't actually quite as confident as he sounded about identifying a restaurant.

OOC: please don't be a stripper joint in disgiuse! If my mental eye burns... I blame Soran. -_-

Kratos looked at the place Telanis pointed and nodded. Approving of the place and its appealing smell. First, he had to count out his money. Together, Neko and Kratos had counted just about enough money to feed their entire group, but it would set them back a lot.

"Us combined have enough for us all... but it'll set us back quite a lot." Kratos said.

"But," said Neko glaring at her brother. "Since we're all hungry we should eat."

Laya looked back at them. "Maybe we shouldn't eat and just eat on the boat with the crew... I mean if you use all the money how will we pay for the boat ride?" she asked them, confused. She knew everything came with a price, no matter if you had money or not.

Neko sighed while Kratos nodded. "If you'll feel comfortable with that." he said.

"But, if you really really need something to eat, don't hesitate to ask." Neko said, again shooting a disapproving glance at her brother. If Laya was sick, she needed nurishment more than they needed to get home.

"I'm alright now, I've gone longer with out food before," she said and gave a soft nod. She would rather starv and pay for the ride across than have to pay for it in any other way.

"Besides, if we don't find a ship thats going we'll need it for tonight won't we?"

"True.. I guess." Neko grudingly agreed. "but if you keel over I'm stuffing food down your throat." she declared and went in the dirtection of the ships.

Telanis looked from the restaurant to Laya to Neko, and followed reluctantly as they chose to board ship immediately. The road to the shipyard was loaded with merchants and travelers bustling to and fro with carts and baggage. The unicorn's eyes flashed around them while he walked as close as possible to the others, stunned by the busyness and size of the city and all the things he had never seen before. Several large barge ships and three times as many smaller ones floated at the docks. A wooden building constructed at the edge of the docks bore a sign reading "Lowight Port Authority".

Laya looked at the ships... warry of them. She wondered if the ship that she had been on was anywhere near by. She hoped not, because she couldn't recall if Kron ever paid them, but they would know that since they went missing it was one of them who killed the boy in the storage room.

She shook those thoughts from her mind and tried to enjoy the fairly sunny day, something she hadn't done in a while.

(OOC: Alright, I'm starting to feel really bad for holding up this thread because I keep forgetting about it. If anyone of you really likes Tetsumaru, eh, too bad cuz he's about to have an unfortunate accident in a few posts.)

Tetsumaru just followed the group the whole time, not really saying anything. His senility was getting worse and worse. In fact, he was barely aware of what was going on anymore. "Wheru aru we goingu?" he asked, having forgotten their end destination already.

Kratos looked around. There was a sign that said "Lowlight Port Authority" and he had everyone follow him over to the small building it hung over. He rang a bell and a scuffy looking man, portly, with rather large glasses on his face came from another room.

"Yes yes. What do ye want?" he asked.

"SHip passes. Is there a departing ship going to Onegoreth?" Kratos asked the man with a fake determined tone. Can't be too careful, gotta be strong sounding.

"Onegoreth.. Onegoreth.. ah! yes! Oh! That's departing very soon. It'll be 5 gold each person."

"5 gold!!" Neko yelled spasticly, then shut up when her brother glared at her. Kratos fished out the bag of their money from his sleeve and handed it to the man.

"More than enough."

"I'll say you just have barely!" said the man with a sniff. He took the gold all for but two peices and handed him their passes. "Dock 4. Ship's called Hokufuu. Get a move on!" Kratos smiled and thanked the man. He turned to his group and nodded that they were off.

"To Dock 4. Come Sir Tetsumaru. We are going on a ship to Onegoreth."

OOC: *cries in advance for Tetsumaru*

Telanis watched the transaction thoughtfully, fairly new to the concept of money but understanding that it was a difficult commodity to part with. Nonetheless, they had their tickets, but when they were about to head out the door and back outside to find their ship, it opened in front of them and a slim, familiar figure strode calmly in, his long black ponytail blowing around his waist as the door fell shut again behind him. Adonis gave the group a confused look. "It's you people..." he said blankly, looking at Kratos since he was at the lead.

Telanis tensed and watched his brother keenly, not sure what he was up to. He thought of the conversation they'd had earlier and felt the memory squeeze his chest.

Laya hung towards the back of the group, feeling that weird dizzy feeling come over her again. She put a hand to her head and shook it clear, looking up to find Adonis standing in the door way.

What was that man doing here? Unless he had come on his own to hunt down poor Telanis. She walked up behind her unicorn friend and stood close, though she probably didn't offer that much protection.

"Oh, it's you," Adonis said to the group, not that friendly, but not rude either. "You caused quite a stir in the village when you disappeared." Sensing the unvoiced emotions Laya was feeling, he added, "Don't worry, I'm not pursuing you. I decided after that boy who helped you escape passed from his illness that it was time to leave that village. It's good that you've made a similar decision. That creature you were captured for protecting is not to be trifled with," he spoke solemnly, then became more casual. "Well, I have a ticket to purchase. I apologize for any harm caused by our custody of you. We were only protecting our way of life." He walked past the group and on to the fare counter, not looking at Telanis any more than the others.

Telanis's face had gone pale, even with his fair skin, and he stared straight ahead in a daze as if he'd just been struck. The boy had died... he'd healed him, and yet he died?
