(Lore) Recovering

The shores of Ighten are beautiful beaches with white sand, palm trees, shacks and houses with people that live along it. It's also an easy way for Arken people to enter Ighten, since it is more or less unguarded. Sometimes wrecked ships wash ashore.

Laya wanted so much to pass out from pain, because it hurt just that bad. She had never had a broken bone like this in her life... It hurt so bad that she was unconciously digging her nails into Kratos's arm.

Telanis took the vine and handed one end to Tetsumaru to hold. He weighed much less than a human, so he doubted it would be too much for the old man. Holding onto his end of the vine, he cautiously lowered himself into it. He struggled to clasp his fingers around the vine, not used to fingers to begin with, let alone holding his weight with them. The strength was there, but the coordination was not, and he was only two feet down when his hand slipped. Finding himself suddenly in freefall, he managed to make one more grasp at the vine, which jerked him into a fliplike rotation before he lost his grip again and smacked shoulder-first into the ground next to Laya and Kratos.

Making a tight sound in the back of his throat, his pushed himself upright again and turned to Laya and Kratos. The first thing he'd become aware of upon landing was the overwhelming pain and fear his sympathetic abilities were picking up from Laya. Looking at her leg, he saw the problem immediately.

Shifting next to Laya, he bowed his head and closed his eyes in focus. A soft blue light surrounded her leg, and the tissue visibly began to mend itself, the bone returning to its proper form and the flesh closing over it, the skin returning to a healthy hue. When he was done, he sat back again and looked at her worriedly. "...Laya?" His senses searched toward Kratos to be sure that he was not hurt as well.

Laya pulled herself away from Kratos's arms, a bit thankful to be out of them. It wasn't that she didn't like Kratos... it was just the fact a man's arms seemed to make her feel a bit uncomfortable... not surprising. She just had to remind herself that not every man was like Kron.

Laya wiped her eyes and looked down at her leg, covering it with her skirt again. "Thank you," she said softly, not knowing what to say since it all happened so quickly. She felt a tad bit emberassed about it all, that she had fallen into a hole, even though it wasn't her fault. But, mainly because she just seemed like trouble, she was always crying or sad, and seemed to get into trouble too much.... She felt ashamed of who she was...

Telanis frowned at the shame filling the air around Laya. "I'm sorry, I let you experience something terrible. But you're safe now, and everyone is alright. Don't let it bring you down," he said, his worried tone growing cheerful as he spoke. He pushed to his feet. A slight blue glow around his shoulder was all that remained of the bruise he'd gotten from his fall, his body already healing itself. He looked around the hole, unable to help his curious tendencies at discovering a new place. Where they had fallen appeared to be a part of some sort of tunnel that was just tall enough for him to stand and extended in both directions. He was torn between getting them out as quickly as possible and using this once-ever chance to explore the place Laya had accidentally found.

No,no, they really had to get out. "Can you both stand?" he asked, extending his hands to Kratos and Laya.

Laya took his hand and pushed herself up, surprised to find she didn't fall completely over from putting weight on her once broken leg.

"Do you think this tunnel might lead to Lowight?" Laya asked softly, unsure about what could be lurking in the darkness though.

Kratos stood up, taking his arms away from Laya and for once looked around the tunnel they were in. Neko looked down the hole and called down to them.

"You're ok right?" she called down, worry in her voice.

Laya looked up. "We're fine now, thank you," she told Neko, forgetting that they were supposed to be hiding from people that were following them. What if they had surrounded them by now?

Laya could here the sound of distant voices moving closer and closer to the hole. Maybe it was better if Tetsumaru and Neko came down into the cave until the group had passed.

Voices were coming close and Neko's heart raced. What was going on? Kratos examined the tunnel more and found a hidden opening on one side of it by poking the dirt. The dirt fell away to reveal a tunnel going further down into the ground, it was dark in it.

"There's a tunnel here." he remarked.

(OOC: Yes, I'm lazy, I've started losing track of all my RPs. I should start killing some of my characters off.)

Tetsumaru stood still the hold time, just gripping tightly on the vine. He started drifting off into a sleep with his eyes open eventually, but never let go of the vine and actually stood in a braced stance, in case someone wanted to climb back up, or climb down.

Laya looked to Telanis. "What should we do?" she asked him, her gray hollow eyes looking at them. They light from above hit her eyes at an angle to where they looked like a portal of gray smoke swirling around.

Telanis looked at the tunnel longingly, but knew that he shouldn't follow his curiosity at the moment. "We should focus on getting back up," he said, looking up at where Tetsumaru was protecting the other end of the vine. "Are you skilled at climbing?"

Laya looked up at the whole. "Climbing... thigns that have nots on them... nothing like this..." she told him, but went forward and grabbed the vine anyway and began to pull up with her arms...

Her arms weren't as strong as they used to be... When she was with Kron there wasn't much she needed to do with her arms so the muscels she once had were gone. However, she still had some strength and even though her arms were about to give out half way up she pushed on reaching out with one hand when she couldn't go any further for someone to pull her the rest of the way up.

Neko helped hold the vine tight until she saw Laya begin to give out. She held out her hand to Laya and helped pull her up.

"Come on you two!" she called down to Telanis and Kratos. Kratos looked to Telanis and invited him to go first.

Laya got to her feet quickly and moved away from the hole encase it decided to cave in any more. She could here the sound of voices coming closer.

"Shh... they'll hear us..." she told them, leaning against the tree taking deep breaths. She saw colors pass across the woods, only able to see them through cracks in the limbs.
