Thomas smiled, "I thought that went well. So, Carnthir, I didn't know you were of royal blood. May I ask what that's like?"

Carnthir didn't answer the question right off. He hated that people saw him as royalty instead looking at him as who he was. He didn't mind the commodities, however.
"It's not that great," His voice low and unsatisfying.

Thomas shook his head, "I never thought it would be. Not enough freedom in it. I'd never really want to be a king of anything. I'd be a terrible ruler."

Freedom wasn't his problem. He had all of it that he could possibly want. He had indeed made a name for himself among the elven world by becoming the youngest military leader but nothing beyond that. He had always dreamed of being something bigger and having people see past his heritage.
He shrugged it off, not wanting to continue the conversation any longer. "Would you care to see where you will be staying?" he asked. "Or would you rather dine first?" He stopped in the hallway.

Thomas shrugged, "Which ever one is more convenient. I don't mind either way."

Carnthir didn't argue. Hunger gnawed at his gut. "We shall eat first then." His spirits more raised as his thoughts left his dreams behind at the moment.
"The dining hall is this way," He walked down the hall a few steps then through an open archway. Inside was a kitchen of magnificent size. A marble table stretched nearly the length of the room. It was lined with green chairs that were shaped as giant leaves. "Take a seat where you like." The room contained a few of the soldiers who had accompanied Carnthir on his raid against the Mori Quessir. He walked over and took seat with them.

Thomas sat a little to the side, not really with anyone. He wasn't very social when it came to sitting and eating with others. Most people who had ever talked to him at times like this had to come to him. He was taught never to make a first move.

Carnthir saw that Thomas sat down alone. "Thomas," he called across the room. "Come and join us over here." He waved to an extra seat across from him.

Thomas shrugged, moving over to the empty seat.

Carnthir introduced him rather quickly to his friends. "And I'm sure you remember this guy," he said introducing the last elf that sat next to him. He was one of the ones that held Thomas at arrow point upon their meeting. His eyes were like crystal, like most of the elves, and shimmered in the light. "His name is Coia."
Coia smiled, "I'm quite sorry about that."

Thomas smiled, "Nice to meet you...again."

"A man of few words," laughed Coia. Out of a set of double doors at the other end of the hall walked to elves carrying two trays each.
"Time to eat," Said Carnthir smiling.

Thomas sniffed the air. In truth, cooking was also considered an art, and again, the elves were masters of it.

Steam radiated from the plates that laid before them. Roasted rabbit and vegetables. It was quite a delicacy. The meat was cooked to perfection and it melted as it touched Carnthir's tongue.
"That is good." he said taking another bite.

Thomas, as mentioned before, was a quiet eater. However, as he ate a piece, he said, "..Amazing...I've never tasted anything better in my life!" As much as he wanted to down the thing, he ate it slowly, and found that he liked it better this way because there was more left to eat. He had manners, and ate politely in front of his hosts/captors.
