Ignoring the feeling he had had before, Skye let Mitsukai lift him into the air.

"Now that we have a map, we shouldn't end up somewhere where we're not supposed to be."

He laughed remembering that her bad since of direction was what had brought them here. He wondered if Presea was okay. He didn't know her, but as much as Mitsukai worried about her....They had to help her

The cloaked man knew what she was going to do exactly before she didn't it. The Fallen had panicked and thought she could escape in the air! The man let her fly a ways away from the town before he pulled out his bows.

"No more jokes Skye! Someone's really following us!" Mitsukai said frightened. She could look behind or below her, she'd never see him anyway.

The cloaked man cocked an arrow into his quiver and aimed high for the escaping fallen. In one fluid motion he sent the arrow flying straight towards Mitsukai. The arrow hit her side and grazed right through her left wing. Mitsukai jerked in the air and plummeted down into the sand...

"No more jokes, Skye! Someone's really following us!"

Skye turned to her. He felt a sudden fear that she wouldn't be safe. But that was silly. He would protect her. Nothing could ever hurt her.

But he thought too soon.

As they started to descend, Skye noticed the arrow that had pierced into her side and wing. He grabbed onto her gently, feeling guilty that he thought the bad feeling from earlier was nothing, and threw himself under her. So when they hit the ground, he would be hurt more than her, for she would land on him.

They landed into the sand, Mitsukai's unconconcious form laying limply ontop of Skye. She had blacked out seconds after the arrow hit her. The cloaked man smirked at his hit target and jogged forward through the sand. He took out his dagger ... just in case.

Skye hit the sand hard. It knocked the breath out of him, but that didn't concern him.

Mitsukai.

"Mitsukai, baby, are you okay? Come, baby, get up."

He realized she was unconcious.

"Oh, no."

His eyes partially filled with tears as he saw a puddle of blood forming on the sand. He had no idea what to do. He wasn't a doctor! A rage burned inside him as he started to wonder who would do this to Mitsukai.

"WHO DID THIS!?" he raged.

A calm man approached Skye.

"Calm down man," the cloaked man said calmly. Swiftly he picked Mitsukai up and began walking off away from Skye who still lay in the sand.

The man calmly picked up Mitsukai and started to walk away.

'I don't even think so,' Skye thought.

He got up from the sand marched over to the man and yanked on his cloak enough to turn him around. He pulled his arm back and punched the guy as hard as he could in the nose. He didn't want to do too much yet since he was still holding Mitsukai.

The cloaked man staggared, dropped Mitsukai in the sand. He actually hadn't expected that. He expected the man to be unconcious. He felt his nose to see if it was broken or bleeding.

"Damn you boy! I was considering to let you die in this heat but now you'll die by my blade!" the man roared. He grabbed a dagger from his belt and lunged at Skye, but Mitsukai was quicker and turned the man's boots into stone so he fell flat on his stomache in mid-lunge. "What the--?"

"Just because I'm a fallen doesn't mean I don't have a high pain tolerance." Mitsukai challenged him. She was different than before, serious and daring.

"So I miscalculated." the man brushed off.

"Why are you attacking us?" Mitsukai demanded.

OOC: Gawd my mouth is soo numb from just getting four teeth pulled! >_<

Skye was very surprised. He had thought Mitsukai was unconcious. He ran over to her and put his arms around her shoulders as if protecting her. He also wondered why the man was attacking them, but said nothing. It looked as if Mitsukai had it taken care of.

I'll just wait until she needs me, he thought, considering how angry she was at the man.

Mitsukai held her wounded side while she glared at the man and he glared back but couldn't get up.

"I have strict orders to take you out." he said stermly.

"So brave to tell me that?" Mitsukai countered. "Why?" The man smirked.

"You're a fallen, you didn't lose your memory and you're not in isolation... you must be taken out. That's why I'm here." he smiled cynicaly at her and she glared.

"You wont get your chance, I may be wounded but I can still fly!" She tried to take off again but she coudn't. She keep falling back down, her wind and side throbbing in pain and blood.

"How can one fly with a broken wing?" the man was clearly enjoying his little show of failing escape. Mitsukai growled and stood with Skye supporting her.

"We can still walk... I'll leave you here to rot." She moved to walk away but the man's haunting voice came after them.

"In this dessert? I doubt you'll find anything for miles... but I know a place with it's own spring and tree's. Undo my feet I can take you there, heal your wounds... and we can fight for your lives." Mitsukai stopped frowning, but she weighed her options and turned to Skye.

"No, don't trust him! He shot you. Leave him here to die. We can just go back to the town and find a doctor."

He looked down at her wound. Blood was still gushing out.

"Does it hurt?"

"Yes. But Skye we are miles away now..after I flew.." she told him worrid about their decision. The cloaked man watched them smiling, he knew they had no other choice.

"If I have to carry you, I will. He said he was sent to kill you. I don't want to risk that. You don't either. I-"

He then saw that there was no hope. There chances were probably better if they trusted the man. They would never make it back to the town in this heat.

"Okay. Whatever you want."

Skye was worried. The way the man smiled at them so evilly really pissed him off. He glared at the man for a while and looked at Mitsukai again. He leaned over and whispered in her ear.

"If I have to I'll never sleep and make sure he doesn't hurt you."

Mitsukai smiled sadly and turned towards the smirking man again. He was truly evil.

"Fine." she said glaring daggers at him. "We'll go to this place... on one condition.."

"Name your terms madam." the man mocked.

"We wont be harmed, and we wont harm you, until we reach the place." Mitsukai, for all her silly antics, knew how to negotiate. "I will also be healed before we start our duel to the death." The man smirked and nodded and Mitsukai released her spell on his feet. The man stood up, looked at Skye momentarily, then went over to Mitsukai and reached into his pocket...

As the man walked towards Mitsukai, Skye felt that he should have stopped Mitsukai from doing this. They couldn't trust him. But then, if he had listened to her when she said someone was following them, this probably never would have happened. Then, he saw the man reach into his pocket.

Oh, hell no.

He didn't trust him at all, so he walked over to Mitsukai and placed his arm around her shoulder and moved her away from him.

Putting a finger in his face, he told him, "If you dare touch her..."
