Rowe looked at his friend, culred up in the corner with his coat over him. He shook his head and decided to check on him, maybe he was ill. Rowe pushed his friend slightly to get him to wake up, but his friend didn't budge or move... He really didn't even seem to be breathing...
Rowe pulled back the jacket and notced a dark stain on the front of the man's shirt and a dark pool under him. The Raiths eyes looked shocked as he stood up straight quickly. "Xheira... wake Koythina up... Now," he adviced, looking back at Xheira. He still had his hood and mask over his face so it was impossible to see the look on his face. You could only read by his eyes and looking into a Raith's eyes was something that sent fear through people, mostly females.

Xheira was just sitting the water down; the amazement of Koythina healing herself had made her forget that she was holding it.
Rowe walked over to check on his friend; she hoped he'd wake him up. The man had slept forever. She didn't really thinking anything about it.
When she heard Rowe say "Xheira... wake Koythina up... Now," her eyes met his and a shiver of pure fear went down her back at the look that was in them.
She went over to where Koythina was sleeping as fast as she could and gently shook her. She didn't want to alarm her; there wasn’t a bit of telling what Koythina would do if she awoke to some stranger shaking her violently.
"Koythina, I need you to get up. I think we have a problem,” Xheira said in a strained voice.

Koythina groaned and shook her head as she was being forced awake.
"Eh, what?" she groaned and looked groggily around the room. The smell of blood tinged the air and she stood upright on her snake tail. Her wounds almost all gone, but she'd need more rest to do so. "I... smell...death? Or maybe someone on the verge of it..."
OOC: could someone unlock Koythina's profile? I just realized i never mentioned her ability to heal herself. Thanks.

Rowe looked up to the ceiling, but nothing was there but rickedy boards that held on what was left of a ceiling. Sand fell from the holls in the roof and for a moment Rowe thought he saw a shadow.
"I guess we gave them to much credit," Rowe growled. "But, then again this is the only shelter for miles around..."
Rowe took his cloak off and the cloth in front his face and handed them to Zheira... he then took the jacket from his dead friend and handed it to Koythina. "This will protect you both from the sand. Sheild your eyes..." And hold on to me... I'll guide you through it."

"Eh, what?" Koythina asked, taking that jacket. She narrowed her eyes and flicked her tounge around. "Why, may I ask, are we leaving while a sand storm is raging?"

Everything fell into place in Xheira’s mind. The Raith had come for them. But how, she wondered to herself. How in the world could the Raith have known where they were going. They must have arrived while Rowe and her were helping Koythina. Xheira felt terribly sorry for Rowe’s friend; he would never wake up again. She didn’t spare too much sadness on him though, after all she’d never met him, and after living around the Raith for so long she got use to it.
Xheira clutched the cloak and cloth that Rowe handed her. She wanted to be stubborn and say that she could take care of herself, but she wasn’t so sure. It was like being stuck between a rock and hard place: a sandstorm raging outside, and Raith who would love to take her on the other. She swallowed her pride and nodded to what Rowe was saying.
As she began to wrap the cloth and cloak around her she took deep steady breathes. This was how she prepared for anything. It cleared her mind and allowed her to think straight. Xheira believed she could think her way out of any situation, if she had enough time. Everything’s going to be ok she thought to herself. She was calm.
She got closer to Rowe not wanting to lose him in the storm. “I’m ready when you and Koythina are.” Outside she could hear the storm raging. It was a bad one. She hoped they lost the Raith’s in the storm, because it would be a waste risking their lives if they didn’t.

Rowe looked at Xheira and then at Koythina, he took Xheira's hands in his and squeezed them tight. "Listen to me..." he told her. "When I tell you to run... and no matter what, don't come back for me or stay behind. You know what they'll do to you if you do... Koythina, watch her for me will you?" Rowe asked, his crimson hair shimmering in the fire light. he let Xheira's hands go and pulled his sword free.

Koythina blinked. Who was he to ask her such things? They barely knew each other and only met by chance... but they did save her life. Frowning, Koythina wrapped the cloak about her and slithered close to Xheira, her new charge. 'I don't understand what's going on,' she thought, 'but I owe them.' She had enough pride to match her honor.

Xheira felt assurance when Rowe took her hands and squeezed them. "Listen to me..." he told her. "When I tell you to run... and no matter what, don't come back for me or stay behind. You know what they'll do to you if you do... Koythina, watch her for me will you?"
Xheira nodded to him, "You'd better come back," she said in a soft urgent voice. "I can't imagine things without you.” She stepped back from him.
She didn't know if she would be able to stay away if he didn't come back. He could probably handle himself, and the Raith would tear her to pieces easily, but she was always good working from the shadows. After all it had taken all these years to get caught.
If he got caught, she would find out where he was, and if she could help him, she would. But hopefully he would be ok. All this flashed through her head in seconds and left her with a strong resolve.
The storm howled outside the house, and she readied herself to face it and the Raith. Her eyes slide to Koythina, she wasn’t really sure about Koythina, but it looked like she would have no problem handling herself. Rowe wanted to Koythina to watcher her, huh…She thought, she could take care of herself, but she didn’t say anything about it. In her mind, it was more of her watching Koythina's back while she watched hers.

Rowe didn't wait for an answer, either Koythina did it or he would kill her later for risking his friends life.
He went to the door and grabbed the door nob. "Go out first..." He said and pulled the door open. A rush of sand and wind feild the room once again and Rowe looked back at the two females...
"Go!"

"Alright, alright!" Koythina said, agigated and slithered forward quickly. Before she exited she gave him a reassuring look that she would help protect Xheira. She slithered out into the storm and braced herself against the wind and peircing sand. She held the cloak around herself tighter and pushed its hood more over her head.

Xheria looked at the door. The sandstorm was howling outside. "I will see you soon," she said to Rowe with a willful determination in her voice.
She pulled her cloak closer, but she knew it wouldn't help much. The sand would still cut when it hit her anyway. Xheria ran out the door trying to catchin up with Koythina and into chaos.

'Bloody moth of--,' Kpythina thought angrily as the sandstorm bit into her tail. "Do you know where we're going?" she asked Xheria when she came up.

Rowe followed them out quickly, the sand beating into his arms, neck and face. He held his sword out, spinning in a complete circle, his yellow eyes half closed to keep sand out. He saw a black shadow move towards him, as well as a few more.
The young Raith brought his sword to where he held it with two hands and spun around, plunging the sword into the shadow. All the shapes were blurred to Rowe as his eyes were kept half closed.
He was a good fighter though, and only needed to see blurs to know what his opponent was doing.
He pulled his sword free and watched as the shadow disappeared in the sand, the wind blowing sand that covered his body in seconds.
Rowe kept his mouth closed so no sand came in and choked him. He took slow breaths through his nose, as another black blur moved from the roof and down upon him. Rowe put his blade in the air, as he ran under the figure and turned. His blade impaled he Raith and he fell into the sand as well.
He along with the other Raithers were only black blurs against the light coming from the open door to the house.
