Tenele relaxed a great deal when his lips touched her neck, so much so that she almost in a way fell into him. She closed her eyes tilting her head to allow him better access to her smooth neck, which would be a bad idea since he was a vampire. Was that why she wanted him? Because of his alluring power that he seemed to have? Or did she truely feel something for this man?
One of her hands slipped up and brushed the side of his face and down, then around the hold on to the back of his neck.

Vlad felt her lean into his touch and ran his tongue up the length of her neck, his fangs pressing smoothly over her skin as he did so, but at an angle that didn't scratch her. He felt his instincts add a pleasant urgency to the experience, though she was at no risk of being bitten. He was hungry, but in complete control. He pressed his lips behind her ear, and then froze. A faint sound had come from outside the window. He turned his head just slightly to look toward it, his face still touching her skin. He spotted it almost the same moment he heard it; shadowed forms in a dark window in the building adjacent to theirs, several crossbows trained on their open window. The almost inaudible rally of springs releasing sounded. Vlad Tugged Tenele sideways out of the line of fire and jerked as two arrows hit his back. A third whizzed past them and stuck into the wall. He pulled Tenele further onto the bed, out of the line of sight from outside, eyes flaring red at this unexplained attack. How had they found them?

Tenele's breathing quickened as Vlad suddenly jerked her to the side. She wondered if he couldn't wait any longer. After all, she didn't have the good hearing Vlad had. Then she saw the arrow hit the wall. "What the hell!" she screamed as Vlad pulled her further away from the window. She held onto her blanket securely trying to see past Vlad to see who was firing at them.
"Are you hurt?" she asked him softly, since her back pressed against his chest. She turned in his arms slightly to look at him. "I told you I had a bad feeling about this..." She heard heavy foot steps coming up the hall and then they stopped, she guessed they went to a different room. Then, a foot suddenly bounded through the door, a large foot sticking out of the middle, creating a whole in the wooden door. The foot disappeared followed by a hand coming out reaching for the lock.
"Oh no you don't." She sadly left Vlad's protective embrace and grabbed the sword she had left behind. She ran across the room, an arrow hitting the wall just behind her and sliced into the hand. She then slammed into the wall just beside the door, looking back at Vlad. Having done all this in one fluid motion, she had missed getting hit by the arrows.

Vlad's eyes flashed from Tenele to the open window, hearing the crossbows notching again. He could hear many footsteps on the stairs, and a deep voice ordering the inkeep and maids to get out. In a burst of force the door was kicked open and several armed thugs piled into the room, their attention immediately going to Tenele. Vlad grabbed the blanket off the bed and jumped up, sweeping it in front of the window in a quick burst and diverting the arrows that had just flown in. The movement made him a bit dizzy; he was far from dead, but he could feel his body straining to close the wounds in his back around the arrow shafts that still protruded from it. Dropping the blanket, he grabbed the window shutters and slammed them shut, clasping the lock.

Tenele was good with a sword. It was what she had picked for her main weapon. However, it was one thing to fight with a sword and hold up a blanket to keep your modesty. Though, the men in the room seemed to find it incredibly amusing that she only had a blanket and a sword to protect her.
She backed against the wall and when one came for her she side stepped and slashed into his waist with her sword. He cried out and fell over. Then another one came at her and she ran him through so hard he got stuck on her sword, she lifted a leg and pushed him off with great effort, using the wall to hold herself up.
Then, it seemed they got the idea, because three of them came after her at once and the others went after Vlad.
Tenele lashed out of them and they merely chuckled, somehow pushing her away from the wall that had become her friend and incircling her.
"Come on boys, who wants the first go?" she muttered as one came after her. She went to drive her sword into his gut when one of the three took the opprotunity to wrap there large arm around her slim neck, jerking her back.
"I'll have the first go."

Vlad teleported behind one of the men that rushed him and ripped his claws across his neck, then lifted him easily overhead and threw the spurting man into one of his colleagues. The two landed in a heap, but more came to take their place. Vlad peered over the action to see what was happening to Tenele, and caught sight of her trapped in a neck hold. He narrowed his eyes and the base of her blanket twisted into a strip and looped around one of the man's legs. It gave a strong jerk on his leg, and he leg go of Tenele's neck as he stumbled backwards into another man behind him. The blanket floated upward and cinched securely around Tenele's form. "Allow me, maiden girl," he called to her with a smirk from across the room, turning his attention back toward a group that was accosting him. More and more bodies kept filling the small hotel room. Vlad felt someone grab one of the arrows in his back and twist on it, drawing a short gasp from the vampire as he spun with the pressure to face the one responsible. A moment later, the thug's body joined several others on the wettening floor.

"Thanks!" Tenele turned her sword around as someone else came up behind her. She pulled it free and twirled it in one full circle as she brought it down on a leg of another person, pulled it free and cut his head off as he hit a knee.
Soon she too had created a small pile of dead bodies. She wondered why they were going through so much trouble for a few escaped slaves. Maybe he knew what there job was? Or, maybe he didn't want his reputation to be tarnished? Or maybe he just was the type to want to make sure the job got done? Either way this was annoying.

Vlad felt body heat all around him as the men pressed in around him. With their swords, they left him without much room to counterattack with just his claws. He focused, teleported to a different spot in the room, but he was immediately surrounded there as well. He smiled madly and took down five men in a sudden burst of motion. If he were alone, he could have easily relocated to outside, but leaving Tenele in a room full of men all focused on her struck him as an unsatisfying option, and teleporting her with him would take more magic than he could wisely afford.
"Unsealing block stage B," he smirked in a dooming voice, his body glowing faintly red with power for a moment before returning to normal. He didn't even seem to care as a sword struck his arm and dug to the bone. He turned swiftly toward the man holding the weapon, which still sat lodged in his flesh, and cast him a calm, eerie smile. The man stared at him like the devil himself was in front of him. "Tell me, my friend," he said, "Are you fond of bats?"
"B.....bats?" the man murmured, disturbed by how indifferent the vampired seemed about the blow he'd just given him. What was this thing?
Vlad grinned psychotically. A cloud of red magic swirled around him, something between flame and smoke, and a flash of utter blackness blinded everyone in the room for a moment. Vlad's body erupted into a hundred pieces, the flesh taking form and flapping chaotically in every direction. In the moment it took the red cloud to fade, the room was filled with blood-red bats. They flapped everywhere, into men's faces and against their arms, sinking their tiny teeth into flesh wherever they found it. Vlad couldn't feed in this form, but it still sent a thrill of ecstasy through his soul to have this many chew toys at once. Tenele was spared the biting; Vlad managed to control himself that much, but the bats still swarmed around her as they did everyone else. Within seconds, the room was reduced to chaos as men began screaming at each other and striking down the bats frantically.

Tenele ducked and covered her head to keep away from the bats as much as possible. Bats didn't frighten her, but was a natural reaction to be afraid of things swarming around your head. But, she figured that since this was a pretty good time to kill them she would use the distraction as best as possible.
She stood up and grabbed ran her sword through one man as he fought the bats, he was too focused on them to care much about her. She pulled her sword free and swung it sideways into another person. She continued to do this, trying to take down as many of them as she possibly could.

When the enemies in the room had been reduced to just a few remaining men, panicked out of their wits, Vlad pulled himself back together and returned to his human form. He'd wasted enough energy already. The dead bats on the floor returned to him as well, and when he opened his human eyes it was to a body covered with small cuts and bruises that were healing very gradually with the power he had left. He looked hungrily at the bodies littering the ground, but forced his attention onto the men who remained. One went after Tenele, so he let him be. The other two were dead in an instant as he teleported behind them and snapped their necks before they knew what hit them. He didn't cut them; he wanted every drop for himself. Smiling in anticipation, he dropped his fangs into one of the men's necks and drank thirstily.

Tenele moved to her clothes that were in a sack and pulled out a pair of black pants and a loose white shirt. She immediatly went to the bath room and changed. She swallowed hard when she saw Vlad having his breakfast. She would have to wait a bit longer, she couldn't dive into hers in the safety of this room. she wrapped her belt around her waist, attaching her sheath.
"Where do we go from here?" she asked.

Vlad was too enthralled with his meal to focus much on what Tenele was saying. For the moment, all of his focus was on the rapture of quenching his thirst. But by the time 4 bodies lay dehydrated on the ground, he brought himself back under control. "Since they know where we are, staying here will only grow boring. We go after this Claw. and introduce him to mine," Vlad said with a demonic sneer, flexing his hand into a fist as fresh power coursed through it.
His demeanor suddenly lightened into a cryptic flavor of playfulness as he shrugged. "But I suppose I'll don some clothing first. No need to let him die happy. And I know it's distracting you," he teased, giving her a seductive eye as he strolled past her into the bathroom with a dead enemy in tow. "Pardon me while I change. You don't want to see this one naked; the anticlimax might be too much," he sneered and the door locked shut behind him.

Tenele was distracted by his lack of clothing, though she tried to consentrate on the fact that he wasn't wearing anything. She moved to the bed once he had dragged the body into the bathroom, and she sat there. She waited for him to get changed and while she was waiting she failed to pay attention to the door. She was looking at her sore wrists, which were still raw from where she had tried to fight the ropes Sekushi had put on her.
One of the... attackers that had been occupying himself down bellow with some ale walked in quietly. He came up behind her, pulling a dagger out and walking towards her.

When Vlad finished changing, he swung the door open casually and immediately locked eyes with the man sneaking up directly behind Tenele. The vampire's mouth spread into a psychotic grin, and he raised an eyebrow at the suddenly nervous man. "Oh, but I've already had dessert," he lamented with mock politeness, the man trapped in his ruby gaze. "Oh....what the hell," Vlad decided casually, the knife flying suddenly out of his hand, raising and flying toward his forehead. And there....it stopped. The man stared at it in horror, too transfixed to notice Vlad disappear from the other side of the room. The next moment, a heavy chair smacked into the back of his head hard enough to throw him across the room and into a crumpled heap. Vlad looked at Tenele with a smug grin, resting the chair back casually against his shoulder as if it were a sword.
