Laya nodded softly, as if she were feeling guilty for telling the men that. "Yes," she said in a soft nonexistant voice. "That is true."
"The unicorn liked me at first... until I chased it with you... I wanted to try and save it. I guess it thinks I'm after it to..." she said and her shoulders slumped. "That is the last time I saw him... any of us saw him. Forgive the old man but he is senile... he couldn't even remember where he lived..."

Fandir looked into Laya's eyes, but they were too cold and grey to read. "Your stories make sense. However, we still have good reasons to feel you deliberately sabotaged our hunt, both when we first found the unicorn and after he fled us at the waterfall, so we will need to take you with us," he asserted.

Laya looked at him. "Just take me..." she said and her eyes narrowed. "Ive seen the unicorn more and it likes me... well it did. I've been around it and I know more about it than them. There is no need to take a bunch of people who know nothing." And I know how to handly toture... she thought dimly.
Tetsumaru narrowed his eyes. Even if he no longer remembered their names, he knew one thing about them. They were still his guests. He stepped back in and grabbed his larger than normal katana and came back out with it in its sheathe. He put one hand in front of Laya to stop her from doing anything. "I amu sorry, buto thezu peoplu aru my guestsu. I wouldu liku you tsu leavu." Tetsumaru had a dangerous look in his eyes, the first one he's had in a long time. Even if he didn't remember his Ongoreth taught morals, they were still retained somewhere in the back of his mind.

"Just go along with him," Laya adviced, not wanting anyone else to get hurt in this stupid business. These people were about as blind and narrowe minded as a walking zombie.
She stepped outside the cabin and off the porch onto the ground, forgetting that she had taken off her shoes until her bare feet touched a dew covered ground.

Telanis turned tensely and followed Laya out of the cabin, his head tilted to keep a sharp eye on Fandir's sword as they walked across the lawn. A pair of strong hands grasped his shoulders and pulled him away from Laya, quickly drawing his arms back and binding them with a rope. The unicorn's expression hardened, but he forced himself not to struggle, unhappily tolerating the bindings. The situation was tense, and if he acted recklessly, someone would get hurt. The other hunters were now regrouping in front of the door. Another hunter took Laya securely by the arm, but because she was a woman she was not tied up.

Laya let the man take a hold of her arm tightly. She ignored the uncomfortable feeling and kept her eyes on the ground and her head lowered.
She bit her bottom lip, contemplating her options. She didn't like to be touched by the man holding her. It discusted her. She wanted to hit him, but thought better of it.

Tetsumaru glared for a while, every once in a while slipping back into a look of obliviousness before returning to his glare. He stepped out of the cabin and when the hunters went to tie his hands he said "Do noto touchi me." When they didn't understand him he drew his sword slightly to make the back off. He quickly made note to see if any other people had noteable weapons and made sure he was always in range so he could draw his sword and knock away the short sword the leader of the group held.
Kratos and Neko were ushered out of the house.
"Why are you treating us like criminals?" Neko chellenged angrily.
"Neko! Stop!" Kratos warned her and struggled with himself to not fight off the men that were dropping his sword to the ground and tieing his hands behind his back. "Arg." He flinched as some rope bit through his skin.
"This is ridiculous!" Neko still challenged. "We've done nothing wrong but get lost in the woods and find a man in a cave, then help another one home!"

"Who are the animals here? You know what is happening to our village, yet you still try to help the one responsible for all this loss...all this death!" growled the hunter who stood behind Telanis. "If you're in the right, then justify to me...tell me why my son had to die so horribly!" he cried.
Telanis's eyes widened, and he face downwards as though stunned. The hunter did not notice, and the group was ushered away from the cabin and down along a trail that led to the village. Two men guarded Tetsumaru, allowing him to keep his hands free because of his apparent age.
As they walked, Telanis came to be alongside Tetsumaru. Still looking downward, he said quietly, "I'm sorry, Tetsumaru. We got you involved in this without asking."

Laya looked to the man who had her by the arm. "So what will you do if were are with the unicorn? Put us to death for killing you people? Kill us for helping an innocent creature. Maybe sacrafice us to your God in hopes he will save you. Trust me... the gods don't care..." She said and her hollow gray eyes stared at the man. "They never cared for me."
She remembered how many times she had prayed to the gods, even the God of Darkness... anyone of them to save her from what Kron was doing.

Tetsumaru just looked confused as he looked angry, settling itself on a strange mix of the two emotions with a strange bit of facial dexterity. "I do noto know wat izu goingu on in ze village," he pointed out.
He turned to Telanis. "It doezu noto matteru thato you gotto me involvuredu. You aru my guestsu ando I willu defendo you ifu I needu tsu."

Fandir seemed indignant at the grey-eyed girl's protests. "It is highly unlikely that the village would choose to kill you. But, we cannot let you free to potentially sabotage another mission. The village is nearly out of food, and more fall ill each day. We cannot afford to lose him again," he clarified, and the group walked on in silence.
Telanis was greatly unsettled by the man's words, and narrowed his eyes, apparently thinking very hard about something.
When they arrived in the village there was a small reception waiting for them. The hunters' families and a few others had congregated outside around a cooking fire to welcome them back. The group became quiet and attentive as the five prisoners were led in past them. They were brought to a pair of poles normally used for stringing clotheslines. Tetsumaru, Telanis, and Kratos were made to sit around one pole, while Laya and Neko were brought to the other.
A young man with an urgent expression on his face ran out to Fandir and whispered something in his ear, then looked at him regretfully.
Telanis's attention jerked up abruptly as a flood of sorrowful fear rushed his senses from where Fandir stood. The man was staring at the messenger wide-eyed, then murmured, "I'm going to him. These people are not to be hurt," he said in a daze, and broke into a run toward his house.
The villagers looked at the captives uncomfortably, some with curiosity, some with pity, some with reproach. A little girl walked shyly up to Laya and Neko. "Are you okay?" she asked, holding a ripped stuffed cat in her arms.
"Brisha, come away from there," her mother said quickly, coming up behind her daughter and carrying her away.
