Heirot

Narisa yawned and slid down the side of the tree, closing her eyes for a moment to rest. She was tired, so tired at the moment.

"Well, I guess it wouldn't hurt to stay... here..." she yawned and slouched forward as she fell a sleep.

An hour or so later she work to the sound of drunken giggling.

Coming down the path was the man that had practically attacked Carnthir.

Carnthir laid on his soft bed staring at the ceiling. He couldn't stop thinking about Narisa. The talk with his mother helped calm him down a lot after his and his father's dispute.

Carnthir awoke in his room. He must have dozed off. The sky outside was now painted with colors of orange, red, and yellow. It was a beautiful sunset.

He wondered down stairs to the kitchen where his parents were eating dinner.

"Nice of you to join us," Anor said smiling.

Carnthir returned the smile but didn't speak. He sat down and ate a bite.

Narisa dashed through the woods running from the crazy drunk man. She was panting, gasping... trying to do anything to get air. Her side was burning with pain and her legs heavy. She felt as if she might collaps at any time.

"Go away!" she screamed back at him, hearing his crazy cackling as he ran behind her, trying to catch her like it was a game.

"N'uma! n'uma!"

"I wish I knew what he was... AHHHH!" she flipped forward down a hill rolling to a stop at the bottom. "By the God of Light this is annoying!"

She got up quickly and ran towards a house and began to beat on the door. "Hello! Please! Open- gah!"

The drunk man jerked her back and she tripped, falling with him onto the ground.

"Do you mind!" she screamed, trying to fight his clumsy hands from her.

Carnthir leaped from the table and rushed to the door. He opened the door and someone fell into him knocking him to the floor. When she lifted her head he noticed it was Narisa.

"Did you miss me that much?" he asked with a bright smile. Not even noticing the man chasing her.

Before the man could reach the door he was restrained by a couple of house guards.

"I.... was... being... chased..." she breathed, panting from exhaustion.

She had run until she didn't think her legs were attatched to her body anymore and they surely wouldn't hold her up.

"I... didn't know... this was... your house...." she said in between gasps, her bright blue eyes glowing and her smooth skin glistening with damp sweat.

She was lying on top of him still, a bit to tired to push herself to her own feet and she didn't even notice the awkward position she was in with him.

Carnthir laughed and helped her and himself up. He held her hands in his and seemed to get lost in her beautiful eyes.

Noticing he was still holding her hands he released them with a small laugh,"Why was he chasing you?"He asked trying to cover up his momentary fasination with her.

"Oh, I don't know really... He's very dr-" her tired legs gave out on her and she fell down in the door way into a kneeling position. She laughed and covered her mouth with her hand.

"I swear I'm not!" she confessed and sighed. "I guess he wanted to dance?" she shrugged, honestly not knowing why he was running after her.

Carnthir laughed and grabbed her hands again. He helped her back and said, "Well I don't think you will have to worry about him anymore."

Carnthir nodded to the gusrds who held the drunkard. They returned the nod and drug the man away.

He turned back to Narisa and smiled, "Since you are already here... would you care to join us for dinner?"

Narisa felt a bit sorry for the drunk man, but then again he was drunk and on his own accord.

"Since you are already here... would you care to join us for dinner?"

"Oh..." Narisa said and then smiled. "Yes, I could use some food," sshe said and put a hand to her stomach. "Haven't had good food in so long."

Carnthir smiled and held one of her hands. "Alright! Come with me." He led her to the kitchen.

In the hallway, they ran into Carnthir's mother. "Hello mother!" he said in a sincere tone. "This is Narisa."

She smiled and nodded her head, "It's nice to meet you Narisa. I'm Estela."

Narisa smiled and curtsied for the woman. "Good evening," she said, using the most manners she had to make a good impression for her friends parents.

Carnthir pushed his plate away and rubbed his stomach. "That was good." He glanced at Narisa and smiled.

"Would you like me to show you around Camthalion?" he asked kindly.

Narisa smiled and gave a gentle nod. "Sure, it would be nice to see it..." she stood up and looked to Carnthir's parents. "Thank you for the meal. It was very nice..."

Estela smiled and nodded, "You're very welcome."

Anor shrugged and stood up from the table. He threw Carnthir a disapproving glance.

Carnthir shook his head and looked at his mother filled with agrivation. "He'll be fine," she said with an assuring grin, "You kids go have fun."

Narisa gave Carnthir's father a smile. "Its okay," she said and glanced at Carnthir. "I could just go on my way if I need to..."
