"What is it?" Yuuna asked and leaned towards Layla. She made sure not to spill anything on her or on the floor.

"Well," she started, "Sennyo said to call him 'Sen'. I don't even think Meagan calls him that, so that means we're special!"

Sen laughed. He actually laughed. Not the fake laughing that was to charm the young girl and her father, but he truly laughed about something that amused him for real.
"I must say you get some good fortune after some bad. And you have to waste it here." His voice sounded bored as he indicated the party. "It's remarkable... my sister never recovered when..." he trailed off, and stared at a wall.

Yuuna giggles a bit. "I'll bet it does!" Yuuna stood up straight and looked around the room until the spotted Sennyo, she kinda staired at him for a minuet then looked away.

Meagan and Lord Kanic spoke briefly about the dowry, Lord Kanic decided to raise it to by about twnety silver peices and an additional 10 gold to the 50 gold and 30 silver he was going to give Sennyo anyway. Lord Kanic wanted to pay more so that his daughter would be happy and may not have to return home.

Jayden's smile faded away as Sen's attention turned to the wall. "Never got over what?" she asked with concern in her voice. "Or...am I being nosey. I shouldn't be. I mean, you don't have to tell me if you don't feel like it."

Layla saw Yuuna looking at Sen and asked her, "Do you like Sen? I don't think he likes Meagan." She said it quietly. "Meagan's kind of mean sometimes. She doesn't seem the type of person that Sen would like."

Yuuna looked at Layla, "He's an elf, If I did like him it wouldn't work out." (Means yes) Yuuna blushed a little. 'The sun it's self sees not until heaven has cleared.' "Layla, I don't believe that he actually wants to marry her" she said quietly in Layla's ear.

Lord Kanic and Meagan walk over to Sennyo, "I want to pay you tonight. Tomorrow you and Meagan will wed! I'll just leave the money in your room with your sister."

Sen was snapped out of his daze. "No, no.. it was just remembering." he laughed nervously. "But it hurt her more than me... I believe. You see, when Skye, my sister, just turned 9, too young to go out into the world, I reached the age of adulthood then... but we were cast out of our village. The people believed we were cursed..." Sen tried to tell the story they had made up. Some of it was true, and some of it wasn't. It was difficult for him to not spill the truth out completely but he managed.

It was then he felt eyes on him and in no time his dark blue eyes locke with Yuuna's.

Layla looked at her. She loved this! The drama! "Maybe he just wants to be rich because Meagan is rich. What do you think?"

Jayden saw him look at Yuuna, and she doubted that he really wanted to marry Meagan. But she would never ask him that. She watched him for a while and spoke again, "Sounds bad. Our parents were murdered, and we had to watch them die. Neither of us had gotten completely over it. I guess everyone has there own sad story, huh?"

OOC: Meagan is rich. Meagan is mean...Any thing else we can add? I am so insulted! J/k. I'm not insulted by the Meagan being rich. I like that a lot. But I don't think I'm mean. Lol

"Maybe." Yuuna looked back at Sennyo again. She glanced back at Layla, "You're a lot more worldly than I would have guessed Layla; I knew your sister had to be VERY worldly because she's older.."

Layla blinked and giggled. "I don't know what 'worldly' means but it sounds like a compliment, so...thank you!"

"Sounds bad. Our parents were murdered, and we had to watch them die. Neither of us had gotten completely over it. I guess everyone has there own sad story, huh?" Jayden told him.

"I guess so.." he responded. "but then again, it's our sad stories that'll help make us stronger, correct?"

Yuuna almost laughed at how naive she was. She smiled at her and nodded. Yuuna got up and put her plate on the small stack of dirty plates that had started.

Meagan attached herself onto Sennyo's arm and asked, "Whatcha talking about?"

Lord Kanic Made his way up to Sennyo's room to put away his money.

"Whatcha talking about?"

Sen almost jumped out of his skin. He scammbled for the right words to tell Meagan. "We were just-ah-talking about how we got here...." he said nervously. He was never good at completely lying, so he always told half the truth.

Jayden would have agreed with what Sen said, but Meagan came over and asked what they were talking about. Jayden could tell that Sen didn't want to tell her.

She looked over the room to see where Layla was and saw that she was with Yuuna. She was ready to get out of there; Meagan was too possessive of Sen. Almost like she couldn't trust him talking to another girl. She envied Yuuna terribly, and that was annoyong.

'I wonder what Layla thinks of Meagan,' she thought.

Layla yawned. "How long does this party last, Yuuna?"

"It's only been an hour! They'll strike up a band soon. Then hopefully things will get started. But if your tired then we can see if there is a room you can sleep in." Yuuna looked around, a few musicians were setting up to play.

Lord Kanic always hired the best musicians available. The small band began to play some up-beat music to pick the party up. Yuuna smiled down at Layla. "Wanna go sleep or dance?" Yuuna asked her.

Meagan noticed the band starting up, "Want to dance?" She asked Sennyo. She was trying to make Yuuna jealous.
