Breina's mind was whirling. She didn't even give thought to the lies she would use to spin her tale. "Oh, no, I don't live around her. I was visiting the forest looking for herbs that you can only find there. I'll need to go back to my home soon. My friends will wonder where I’ve been." Briena noticed that they were about to go down some steps. Beyond the steps the hall darkened a bit; a light had burned out and was yet to be relit. She thought that it would make a perfect place.

Breina smiled an evil smile. She was a bit behind Shinobu, so she was sure she didn't notice. "Hmmm....a doctor....not quite. You know, I think I have something that might work for a light." She reached into her bag and pulled out a flint. She walked around in front of Shinobu to relight the torch. She relit it and replaced the flint in her bag. Instead of bringing her hand back out, she reached into her cloak and smoothly gripped a dagger. “There that light is much better isn’t it?” She didn’t give Shinobu time to reply; in one fluid motion she pulled the dagger out lunged at Shinobu aiming for her heart.

Shinobu was so surprised she didn't have much time to react. She gasped grabbing the womans hand, but not quick enough, only able to slide it over far enough to where itbarely missed her heart. The familiar pain of cold metal as it slide into her.
Shinobu didn't breath. She didn't think. She just stared numbly at the woman before her and muttered a very unlady like name for her as her knees slipped out from under her. She had never been one to take pain to well.

Briena allowed Shinobu to slip to the floor. Her body relaxed as she cleaned her blade on Shinobu's clothes and slipped it back into her cloak. Her job was done. She had eliminated the target. "Your names wont hurt me."
She laughed and allowed her disguise to melt away. She was sick of holding it. She shook out her long white hair and reached an ebony hand insider her cloak. The object she pulled out looked like a box made out of glass. She hurled it to the floor were it shattered into a million tiny blue shards. A portal opened, and Briena imagined a dark seclude cave. If the wizard hadn’t been lying to her, she would end up there.
Briena stepped through and found herself falling through the air. Her fall was cut short by a rooftop. She mutter a string of curses about the wizard. He’d lied to her. She regained her senses and looked around. “Ahh....” she said, “home at last.” She looked down on the streets of Arroes and found a familiar door to a wizard’s shop.
She had paid dearly for that item. It was ashamed she had to use it; even if it didn't work exactly like it was suposse to. She thought about paying that certain wizard another visit to see if he anything to fight a demon with. She didn’t intend on ever being cornered by one again.
OCC: Breina has exited this thread. She's now in Arroes.

Vladimir had split off from the group and wandered casually around the compound, grinning at the nervous monks who by now had all heard of the identity of the vampire who was among their strange guests from outside. They pulled back when he caught their eyes, clearing the street and latching the shutters on their modest homes to wait for him to pass by.
The high priest's speech kept running in his mind, and it irritated him. "So you see yourself as superior? You see no obligation of loyalty whatsoever?"
He was superior. He wasn't here to act as some royal babysitter. He was just going to Hepian, for no particular reason... A female form flashed in his memory, then was gone. His grin faded and he continued walking, attributing his mood to the dreary monastery he was stuck in.
"I'll have you speak with me again later," the priest's self-important voice reiterated in his memory.
Vlad shrugged, deciding to relieve his boredom by checking up on the others. More specifically, on the feminine samurai who'd gotten his arse kicked. In a swirl of darkness, he disappeared from the street, leaving the anxious monks who were peering at him through their windows even more unsettled.
The vampire materialized inside the infirmary, where Kyosuke appeared to be awake.
"Awake already? It's about time," he said indifferently, stepping out of the shadows in the corner of the room and standing next to Kyosuke. "Though it would have been cleverer to play dead until tomorrow to minimize this place's detriment to your sanity." He made the comment very ambiguously with a strange smirk, so that it wasn't clear whether he was teasing Kyosuke, cheering him up, or expressing bitterness. Chances were he meant nothing in particular. The vampire plunked back into a chair and leaned back with his arms behind his head. "Where's your girlfriend?"

Kaze had wandered off to the stables. Not sure of how she even found the place, she walked in anyway and immediantly spotted Kami in the second stable to her left. She walked swiftly over to him and pettted his muzzle. Kami neighed softly. Kaze smiled under her scarf and pulled a carrot from her pouch. She drove her staff into the ground and fed Kami the carrot while petting the dark hair of his mane at the top of his head.
Kaze sighed and laughed when Kami nudged her for more. "Haha... I only had one silly. Next time I'll bring you more." she said, giggling under her scarf. Kami just neighed and allowed her to pet him more.

Shinobu leaned against the wall for a moment with her hand pressed tightly to her chest. (OOC: Darn Eslin and your plans!
) She looked at her knees for a moment and blinked her eyes rapidly. She hadn't really expected that... it rather caim out of the blue...
She shouldn't have been sitting there on the floor. But, at the moment it was the only thing she knew to do. She wasn't about to just lay down and bleed to death... She had to do something...

Kyosuke smiled back at the vampire, though it looked a little strained, though it was actually from hunger and weakness more so than from talking with Vlad. He didn't mind talking to Vlad at all actually. "I assume you mean Shinobu-dono," Kyosuke replied neutrally. "She left earlier to get me something to eat. She has been gone a while though. It probably isn't anything."
In fact, he found it more fun than not. He began searching his memory for what happened during the battle. However, as he started it, a strange feeling shot through his heart, it was almost as if he felt that Shinobu was in danger. Deciding to act on it, he tried to get out of bed, but instead stumbled and fell off.

Her hands were covered in the blood she was trying to stop as she crawled up the steps. She was now gasping for air, trying to catch her breath and yell. "Help," it came out as a strained rasp. She coughed adn tried again. "Help!" It was louder, but maybe not loud enough? How ever many times she tried it the cry for help just got worst. Her bloody hand scraped across the steps as she searched for anything in the dark stairwell.
She pulled herself to the top and laid there, to tired and weak to move anymore. This is just great. Honestly... how bad of luck do I have?! It seems like I just keep getting into trouble... I need a vacation. Why the hell did she stab me?! Who was she?
Shinobu took in a deep breath and screamed as loud as she could.

Vladimir blinked skeptically, but didn't move as Kyosuke suddenly seemed to become more alert and struggle to climb out of bed. "If you were that hungry, you could have just said something," he said pointedly, though he knew there would be some logic behind Kyosuke's actions. The vampire's senses sharpened as he raised his guard slightly, uncertain what was going on, though his expression was casually incredulous.
Kami's ears perked up, picking up a distant sound. He started to move his head around and stamped the dirt ground of the stall as if he was distressed.
"Ah, Kami what's wrong?" Kaze asked the horse worriedly. Kami began to move his hoofs harder into the ground and looked like he was pacing, his front dancing and him throwing his head around. He neighed and snorted, begining to frighten Kaze. "What's wrong?!"
Kaze didn't know what to do. Did he get scared of something again? Does he sense something evil approaching? That thought sent Kaze on her guard and she looked around the stables looking for something wrong.

Shinobu was to tired, the blood leaving a large trail from where she had been. She laid on the cold floor taking deep breaths. Did no one hear her?
"Kyosuke..." she whispered. "I'm sorry..."
She laid down her head on the floor, to tired and in pain to move. She closed her eyes, still concious, but saving all her energy. Someone had to come get her...
