Re: End Game
Vlad's eyes drifted open, looking almost golden in the light from the window. He blinked several times and brought her gradually into focus. Like most humans, he was taking some time to remember things like where he was and how he'd gotten there. "Morning," he mumbled, closing his eyes to the sunlight.

Re: End Game
Tenele smiled snuggling her nude form up to his incredibly warm body. She was quite comfortable lying there, but knew it would soon have to come to an end. Someone was approaching.
BAM! A fist struck the door hard once and then repeated the gesture several times. "Hey! Open up! You alive in there used-to-be-vampire? Come out will ya? We got something to discuss." It was a familiar voice, the voice of the soldier that had been in his face the day before.
Tenele smirked, having an evil thought cross her mind and before Vlad could even think of waking she grabbed the top cover and drapped it around herself and suddenly appeared at the door. The lock snapped open and she cracked the door just enough to peep around it, Vlad was perfectly concealed for the moment.
Her red eyes peered at the man and she flashed him a brilliant smile, slinking through the crack a little more, wrapped in just the long bed cover. "I'm sorry, he's currently indisposed, let him recover. I think I worked him over a bit too much last night. I'm used to his vampire stamina." It wasn't something that Tenele would normally do, in fact it was something to Vlad would usually be doing.
Tenele found though, that there was a bit of reckless fearlessness that came with her new powers. Which for Tenele was not a good thing, since she already had a good deal of both of those factors in her personality.

Re: End Game
The soldier blanched and literally jumped back from her. "You didn't, uh....I mean, he's still...right?" he asked very cautiously, wanting to peer around her to see into the room but not wanting to get any closer to the vampire chick. "I need to talk ta him... whaddaya mean, worked him over?" he couldn't help but blurt.
Vlad was well awake now, although his body wasn't as cooperative as he would have liked. He sat up and immediately regretted it, feeling almost dizzy enough to swoon back into the sheets and leave the visitor to fend for himself. He pulled one knee up in front of the center line of his body and rested against it. "Tenele, no guests before breakfast," he ordered, pondering whether he cared about the musclebound thug's life enough to bother getting to his feet.

Re: End Game
Tenele grinned and gave a soft devious, yet very innocent chuckle. She winked a crimson eye at him. How could he not understand what she meant, or did the fact she answered the door in a sheet not give him any hints. Especially her words. Wow, he was very dense, and it took a bit of the fun out of it all.
"I'm not going to eat him," Tenele replied, flashing her eyes back at the soldier. She tilted her head at him, and narrowed her eyes. "He'll be out in a minute." She was a bit breathless now, for she was very hungry. "Let him dress." She closed the door in his face quickly, locking it mostly to keep herself away from him.

Re: End Game
"Oh," the soldier mouthed silently as he derived meaning from her words. And then, out loud, to no one in particular, "What?"
Vlad smirked at her as she locked the door. "You're going to smatter my flawless reputation," he teased, throwing his legs off the side of the bed and climbing to his feet. He took a drowsy step before stumbling sideways into the wall. Okay, a little tipsy he admitted to himself as he gathered his balance.

Re: End Game
Tenele narrowed her in concern eyes on him, helping him steady his balance. "Are you alright?" she asked him softly, brushing her hand across his cheek. Maybe she had been too rough with him? "I'll tell him to get the doctor," she whispered turning to walk towards the door. She stopped dead in her tracks and stared down at the amulet that was glaring at her. "Eh..."
Like a snake in her path, she slowly stepped around it.

"Don't want a doctor. Want pancakes," Vlad mumbled groggily as he trooped ungracefully off into the bathroom like every human male does the moment he'd vertical in the morning. He shut the door behind him, relieved himself, washed his face and hair in the sink, and drank what he estimated to be a gallon of water from the faucet. When he re-emerged he was looking more awake and significantly more stable.

Re: End Game
Tenele had dressed herself in a forest green dress, and was lying on the un-made bed with a curious smile on her face. "So," she mused. "How long has it been since you had to do that?" she wondered, but found this hole thing very funny now. It was turning out to be a much better day than the one before, but she was getting more and more hungry by the second.
And the pounding was there again. "Hey! I ain't got all day! What are you two doing in there?!"

Re: End Game
Wearing the sink towel around his shoulders and nothing else, Vlad marched to the door and flung it wide. "Tell me, have you ever had one of those dates where you show up in your best shoes, ready to go, and the broad still needs to play with her bangs or whatever nonsense she does for at least an hour before she'll even greet you with a kiss? And for goodness sake, after all, you had a date?" Vlad asked the man nonchalantly, leaning against the door frame and toweling off his hair.
The gaping soldier managed to close his mouth somewhat and mumble, "Yeah..."
Vlad leaned off the wall and pressed in close to the man's face. "We don't have a date, so read a book or something," he said flatly before closing the door again in the man's face.

Re: End Game
Tenele laughed as Vlad closed the door. "I could give him a good book to read," Tenele muttered, as she stood up and began making the bed. Her eyes drifted to the window. "By any chance could I occupy the bow of the ship today? If I'm a good girl, and promise not to eat anyone?"

"If you eat all your electrolytes," Vlad returned with a smile as he pulled a black tunic over his head. He was wearing pants now, although he was hardly rushing. "You must be hungry," he said, looking over at her. "Don't fight it for too long. Today should be easier if you don't get too close to people.

Tenele smirked. "I promise I'll eat in a little while. Go see what the fool wants, will you? His presence is driving my senses insane. If he stands outside that door any longer, I'm going to have him for breakfast."

Re: End Game
Vlad nodded, grinning at her pragmatism. "See you later," he said to her, raising his hand casually as he opened the door and left, closing it behind him.
"See, isn't that better, when you're patient you get to see me all nice," Vlad said to his visitor condescendingly.

Re: End Game
The soldier shifted and turned away from the door. "Come on, the priests are up on deck," he muttered, climbing the steps.
Once they were on the deck men came from behind Vlad, jumping off the deck above and landing on him. They tried to wrestle him to the ground, hold him down.
"Get him! Hold him still! Tie him up!" They wrestled with trying to tie him up.

Re: End Game
Vlad gasped as heavy weight struck him from behind and pinned him to the deck. He wrestled against the hands that were grabbing his arms and legs. "Idiots! What's the matter with you?" he growled, twisting sideways. Their gripping fingers tore his shirt as he managed to get his upper body loose enough to throw a vicious hook at the closest head he could reach. It connected, and he heard a sharp groan from above him. One of the bodies pulled back from the circle, but more came in to replace it. Vlad tossed violently as someone pulled something thick and opaque over his head. His nose filled with the sharp smell of leather. He tried to throw another blind punch, but someone caught his arm. He felt himself being lifted, kicking and struggling, and after a few minutes he was being chained up to what he assumed was a wall somewhere inside the ship.
"You're sure this entire place is warded?" asked a voice.
"There's no way she'd make it across that floor. He's ours." another returned.
"What the hell do you think this will do? She'll kill you all!" Vlad roared, yanking ferociously at the chains on his wrists. His right shoulder ached from the night before - funny time to notice.
