Reya felt a flicker of indignance at Jhaptal's too-true words, but she was too levelheaded to deny them. "Very well. This ends now." She met his eyes, looking just slightly frightened, but also determined. "You'll come with me, won't you?" she asked him. It was more of a statement than a request, but she appreciated Jhaptal's support.

Mayn paused as she heard another voice in the dungeons. That was strange...she thought she was the only one down here. Her curiosity taking over, she turned toward the sound, which seemed to have come from the other side of one of the magical doors. Cocking her head to the side, she placed her palm against it and the lock disengaged, sliding the door aside. She was baffled by the familiar face she saw on the other side. "What are you doing here," she half-squawked.

Rai's eyes widened a good deal as she stared at the little girl she disliked very much. She didn't know if kids were allowed to hate... But, she didn't like the girl at all.
"Ooops...." she said allowed. She jumped forward and pushed the girl down before she ran into the next room to hide somewhere until she could think of a better way to handle the situation.

Mayn sprawled backwards when Rai pushed her, still not really grasping what the other girl was doing here. "Hey!" she said and scrambled back to her feet only to hear more foosteps behind her. She turned just in time to see Mizuki and Siren run down the stairs toward her, and blinked. For a moment, she really was scared. Her hands flew up and drew a glowing magical arrow back, aimed at Mizuki and Siren. "Stay where you are!" she said without much conviction. "What are you doing here?"
Reya clenched her fingers, and loosened them again. "Very well. Let us end it now." She led Jhaptal out of the room and into the corridor, pulling her robe closer around her.

Jhaptal nodded and followed after Reya. He doubted she would make any detours to extend the path they would take, but he made sure that they were following the most expedient path anyway, after all, he had never been put in a situation like this before where he had to continue to urge her to complete the task.
Siren thought fast, throwing her arm outwards, scattering a liquid vial that transformed into a quick magical barrier not around herself and Mizuki, but around Mayn, so that if the girl decided to fire off the arrow it would explode on contact with the barrier in front of herself.
Physical energy magic origionating at Mayn's fingertips would be the only magic effected, but if they could fool the girl into believing that no magic could pass through perhapps she could be dissuaded from trying to attack them and could be used.
"Don't try it," she warned mennacingly, secretly hoping the girl would and would learn her lesson anyway.

Rai was hiding in a corner behind a group of barrels. She poked her head out at hearing Mizuki and Siren's voice.
She came out from behind the barrels. She decided while they were holding off the girl she would look for Soran. But, she was too short to see into the cells. So she walked to them and called out his name.
"Soran!"

Mayn flinched backward as she sensed an unfamiliar kind of magic surround her. She wasn't sure what was going on; she'd never been trained or taught about Dark angelic magic, but she knew its spells were powerful, albeit very specific.
"What are you people doing here?" she asked, her curiosity overruling her panic. She reluctantly allowed the arrow to dissipate to half-strength and fired it into the barrier, just to make sure Siren was telling the truth. "Did Reya send for you also?" She regretted asking because it revealed that she wasn't normally employed directly in Reya's service; she may have sent others to fetch these people who then lost track of them.

Siren didn't quite know what Mayn was talking about, sending for them, but she didn't show her confusion.
"That is irrelevent at this point, I think," she said in a sassy voice. "If you're a sensible girl, you'll take us to Soran. Quickly," she bluffed, raising her hand again and casting a simple spell that caused energy to form around her hand in the form of blue flames, mimicking the readying of a high-concentrating damage spell.

Mayn's eyes widened at the blue flames that sprung up from Siren's hand. She had no idea what it was, but it bore a striking resemblance to the spells used by the fire mages in the academy. She didn't need to ask what it would do if it hit her, though she didn't feel the same aura from it that she would from the magic she was accustomed to.
Glancing from Mizuki to Siren warily, she lowered her hands. "So you're after your friend," she sneered with more confidence than she felt. "I...don't know where he is." She bit her lip. She'd hesitated a bit too long for the sentence to sound honest.

Siren tilted her head a bit to the side. "You don't huh? I suppose you just got lost and ended up down here... poor little lost child... and without a traitor among us to help you." She scowled, remembering the burn through Rai's leg.
Siren had started approaching closer, hand still burning and a mock look of concentrating in her eyes as if she had to maintain the spell's readiness, her eyes locked with Mayn's intimidatingly, icy cold.
"But you know what? I think you have a pretty good idea. And seeing as though you don't have much of a choice, I suggest that you come quietly and help us. I assure you the alternative wouldn't be fun."
