Vlad kept walking as if he hadn't heard her for a moment. He certainly wasn't going to admit to her that he wasn't sure he could prevent the creature from getting the weapon before they could stop him, or that he didn't think they'd be lucky enough to disarm him twice. He wanted the thing destroyed, but what she said made sense also. Bring it back inside the castle, and they brought the enemy in with them by default. Sinead wouldn't like the idea.
He stopped and faced her - well, turned toward her while shielding his eyes. As if the middle of the palace garden was a perfectly normal place for a strategic discussion. "It's only a trap if we can think of a way to hurt him. Otherwise, it's just watching him re-arm himself," he said thoughtfully.

Tenele gave a gentle nod and hid the axe behind her back so Vlad wouldn't be bothered by it. "Maybe he's allergic to unholy magic," she muttered. Then, it hit her. She had the perfect weapon within her possession.
"How much would you love me right now if I said I had a weapon that could kill him?" she asked with a grin.

Tenele eyed Vlad for a moment and then gave him one of her wonderful smiles. "I got into a fight with the Shogun when he first arrived. Though, I didn't know he was the Shogun. Since we tied in the fight, he found me honorable. He gave me a katana that has the power to kill any demon. I'm sure, though he can reginerate, it will do some major damage. I asked the boy to bring my weapons back if I was to be taken captive. I'm assuming Talon has them."
She moved around to walk in front of Vlad, moving the axe with her so did not bother her lover. "I'll go get dressed and bring the weapon back. I'll take this with me, if you want. It won't bother you if its with me. Maybe you should warn the Queen.... after putting on clothes?"

Vlad smiled darkly. "I believe that will do nicely," he praised. He thought again about where to put the weapon. Leaving it outside would stall their next encounter, but Vlad wasn't entirely sure he wanted the monster to attack at night. If there was a chance he'd return during the day, they'd have that much more possible leverage in using the sun against him. "Let's get that inside and covered up. And if it's really necessary, you can dress," he smirked. The sheet that was around his waist was hanging dangerously low on his hips, but he just turned with her and headed for a door at the side of the castle. It was guarded, but the guards recognized them and after seeing their getup, hurried them through.
"If Queen Sinead hears you've been out dressed like that, she'll have us all eating gruel," the guard fretted to Tenele. He glanced at Vlad with a disbelieving glare like he completely gave up speaking sense to the vampire.

"Honestly," Tenele said, looking over her shoulder. "I wanted to get dressed. Really I did... I just was detained!" She sighed, walking towards the wide stair case that led up to the many many floors above. She sighed. "Castles and there steps. There thousands upon thousands of steps..."
Finally she reached the door to her brothers room and study. "He's going to kill us both when he sees me dressed like this," she muttered, however knocked on the door none-the-less.
After a moment the door was unlocked and Talon stood there staring blankly at them. "Do I want to know?" he asked.
"Maybe, but the question is do I want to tell you?" she asked him and pushed through into his room.
"I'm not going to ask why you're barely decent," he said, and Tenele was thankful for that. "I am going to ask why you are splattered with blood." He closed the door behind them.
"The psychotic man who took me captive has been turned into a vampire, with a sick fetish for draining Vlad's blood to give to his Queen. He has another agenda... I just have figured out what that one is. Maybe he wants to still Vlad's clothes while he's at it?" she asked, glancing back at Vlad with a smirk. "I need my weapons."
"There leaning in the corner," Talon said, nodding his head towards the corner of the room closest to the door. Her mother's sword and the katana was leaning where he said. Tenele grabbed the katana and tossed it towars Vlad. It was in its sheath, so it wasn't going to impale him. She then grabbed her mothers sword.
"What is that axe? It has holy ruins on it...." Talon muttered rushing towards it as if he were facinated.
"Belongs to Lothos," she said. "He won't be getting it back."
"Lothos?"
"The guy who is out to kill Vlad," Tenele said, but understood that at the moment Talon was far ot mesmerized to be paying attention to her. "We'll be going. Thanks."
"Tenele," Talon said when Tenele had made it closer to Vlad. She glanced over her shoulder at him.
"Yes?"
"Please... get dressed," he muttered, averting his eyes. He didn't want to know. He just didn't want to know. The sad thing was, he already knew and it was too late. His sister and Vlad were lovers.

Vlad smirked at Talon's obvious reaction to their appearance. The boy was a constant source of entertainment. It was a testament to his self control that he managed to leave the room without provoking him any further.
When they were back in the hallway and alone, Vlad strode down the hall, up another flight, and down another hall to the suite where Tenele's possessions had all been stored after the fire. "Drop that," he said, meaning the axe, and when it was safely on the ground he lifted her up chest to chest with him, his arms supporting her just under her butt, and walked her over to the bed, where he set her down. The gesture would have seemed like a prelude to lovemaking except that he instead knelt next to the edge of the bed her feet were still hanging off. He took hold of the ankle of the foot that had been cut up and examined it. The cut was dirty now from walking barefoot outside, but he'd smelled it ever since they left the tower. "Wait while I get a kit," he said firmly, and disappeared.

OOC: Lol, sorry it is sooooo long. Got bored.
IC:Tenele gave a playful laugh when he lifted her into his arms, enjoying the feel of his strong protective grip. She wondered if he couldn’t contain himself and wanted to make love again. Though, it didn’t entirely thrill her, it didn’t disappoint her when he examined her foot.
"Wait while I get a kit," he said firmly.
“But!” He was gone. “It will be fine.” She muttered, letting lose a sigh as she glanced around the dusty room. It was dim, the curtains had been pulled closed since the room was not in use. Thin strips of light could be seen in the cracks where the curtains came together. The room was dusty, and she didn’t blame the maids for avoiding it. Who would want to straighten and clean the things belonging to a supposedly dead woman. Its not like the dead cared if their things were taken care of. She was even surprised that everything was still there, she expected it to have been given away by now.
The Queen’s Maiden rose from her seat on the bed, which she was sure Vlad would scold her for. She walked towards the wardrobe where he clothes were and opened the doors, eyeing the many choices of dresses. She found one that she thought would suit her and pulled it from the line of linens. Emerald green, and made in the Queen’s Maiden style with the slit for easy access to the hidden weapons that they usually carried. She tossed it on a chair and dug through the bottom and went to head for the shoe rack to get a pair of boots. This only had taken a minute, however it felt like forever.
“Where did he go?” a dark voice asked so suddenly that it startled Tenele. She yelped and jumped, at the same time whirling around. “I thought I smelled him in here. Oh well, it was the little trails of your blood I was following anyway.”
He was standing there and she hadn’t even heard him enter the room. Though, teleportation she guessed, didn’t exactly have a sound. He hadn’t lifted the weapon, which was lying on the floor by all her other weapons. His eyes followed hers, though she knew he was thinking that she wanted the axe.
She ran for it, knowing he would beat her to the axe. She didn’t care. While he was grabbing the axe she would get the sword and run him through, saving a lot of trouble for Vlad. Before she could reach the weapons he was there and he lifted the axe with ease, tilting his head up at her. He wasn’t but a foot from her, standing between her and the other weapons. He looked at the axe and then at Tenele. She didn’t have a look of fear on her face, in fact it was pure agitation. His skin was still burned, but even she could see it slowly healing. He looked disgusting at the moment, however she didn’t really care what he looked like. It didn’t matter, she hated him just the same. He looked back down at the axe in his hand and then with a grin held it out, dropping it to the floor.
Now her expression changed to total confusion. ‘What the hell?’ she thought. She looked down at the axe. Suddenly she was lying flat on her back on the floor, the wind knocked out of her and felt as if someone had put a forge hammer through her chest. ‘Damn, vampires. Why is it every man that has the desire to kill me somehow becomes immortal? Not ever man, just the really annoying ones!’
“Look, remember the last time we fought?” she asked him.
“I don’t want a fight,” he breathed.
Tenele wasn’t a naive woman, she just figured that she wasn’t more important than an order from Shea. Then again, Vlad wasn’t around to try and murder. Tenele didn’t even see him appear behind her. She was just up and on the bed and fighting to get back up. “Vlad will be back soon!” she screamed at him, beating at him.
“Good, I’ll kill him,” he didn’t seem to be having a hard time fighting the Queen’s Maiden. In fact, he seemed to be having a good time.
Tenele wasn’t without her tricks. She was beating at him with one hand, pretending to squirm away with the other. She reached under her pillow and brought the dagger she kept there around quickly. She slit his chest open. He backed off, startled and while he was trying to figure out what she had done she lodge the blade into his side and leaped from the bed, grabbing the katana. He laughed at her and walked towards her ever so slowly. Her heart was pounding in her chest, adrenaline rushing. She watched as his wounds healed quickly and he just laughed it off.
“I like your fire,” he muttered.
“Then you’ll love this,” she said and rushed forward, swinging the blade in the arm and slice a C shaped cut down his chest and abdomen. He felt it and he immediately doubled over. He looked up at her quickly and narrowed his eyes on the blade. She put her foot on his axe that he had tossed away. “Come and get it.”
“I’ll get it,” he muttered and was gone. She dropped to her knees, taking in a deep breath and holding the katana tightly, watching the blood drip off.

Vlad ported back to the room wearing black pants and a black tunic, holding a medicine case under one arm. His expression betrayed nothing, but his hand reflexively crushed the case as he surveyed the room, and some of the contents spilled from the cracked container onto the floor. "He came back," he said more than asked, throwing open the blinds on the other side of the room with a twitch of his hand. Sunlight flooded in across the bloodied floor.

Tenele looked up at Vlad quickly when he entered room. She gave a nod, glancing down to the weapon at her feet. "For the weapon," she muttered. It wasn't a complete lie. Though, she hadn't noticed how disheveled her make-shift clothing was, or how it was barely keeping her chest decent. "I managed to keep it away from him." Now that, that was a lie.
Tenele cleaned the katana blade off on her sheet and sheathed it once again. She then took the axe and laid it in the path of the sun where it shown the brightest onto the floor.

Vlad had to close his eyes against the blinding glare of the axe, which made him look annoyed and serious. That was well enough, because he wasn't in the fairest of moods. "Your clothes are knocked half off. For him to rough you up enough for that and not kill you, there's no way he was after some axe. At least not for long," he spat.
"Queeny is aware of the situation. It's staying in our hands, because there's not much of an alternative. If he's spotted somewhere else for some reason, she'll send word, if the witness can live to report it."
That said, Vlad's attention drifted to the box he'd crushed. He opened his palm and inspected it with the faintest of grins. "Fix your foot, he smells you," he said, setting the shattered kit in front of her. He was irritated that he'd left her alone with the blinds drawn, but self-reproach was one emotion that rarely lasted long for the no-life king. It was so rare that met an enemy worth fighting. He was intrigued, even excited by this new challenge, but having Tenele thrown into it stole some of its flavor.

Tenele had her back to Vlad and she cringed when he wiggled through her lie. She should have known she couldn't hide anything from him. With a sigh she turned and went back to the bed where he placed the broken box in front of her.
She wiped the cut clean with medicine that made it sting slightly. Then she wrapped a bandage around her foot to keep it from bleeding everywhere if it continued to do so.
"Well, I distracted him, though unwillingly, long enough to keep him from getting his weapon back," she said softly, tying the bandage and glancing up at him.
About that time there came a knock at the door and the maid opened it without Tenele even telling her she could come in. She carried a bowl of clean hot water and a rag. "Your brother said you would need to clean up, he asked me to bring this," she said softly, setting the bowl on her dressing table. The girl did her best not to make eye-contact with them, however she couldn't contain herself. Her eyes flickered back and forth between the too. She was a young girl, and flushed when she realized that it might have been a little rude.
"Thank you..." Tenele said softly and the girl gave a nod before running from the room. She pulled the door behind her.
Tenele stood up and went over to the dressing table, untying the rope that was around her waist and chest. The sheet slipped and hung at her hips for a moment before falling completely to the floor. She took the rag and began cleaning the specks of dry and wet blood from her form, glancing over her shoulder at Vlad for a moment.

Vlad studied Tenele as she removed her clothes and began cleaning off. He couldn't help recalling what they'd had together...what they'd accomplished just before this badass crashed their party. It had been less than an hour ago, but it could have been months from the way Vlad's body was reacting to her.
The thought did cross his mind. They had nothing to be concerned about until nightfall. And then, at least they were working with a known entity. No more keeping watch all night for unknown horrorrs; he knew exactly who he was dealing with. It was just a matter of being faster, cleverer. The latter went without saying, he thought with satisfaction.
"You missed a spot," he commented with a smirk, his red eyes watching her with great interest.

Tenele smiled at him, that smile she gave that always seemed to awaken something in him. Her green eyes sparkled and she was glad to see him a little more relaxed. She dipped the rag in the water, ringing it out and turning her body slightly towards him. She held it out with a delecate hand, silver hair cascading down her elegant back. "Mind getting it for me?" she asked him softly, her voice leaving a trace of seductive tone to it. Though, her expression was mock innocence.
The reflection in the mirror revealed a nice red mark in between her breasts where the feinds fist had landed, the blow that had knocked her across the room. She didn't even notice it.

Vlad walked over to her and knelt just behind where she sat on the bed. His eyes burned into hers as he took the washrag from her hands and, without a blink, discarded it among the sheets. Instead, he dropped his head just between her shoulderblades and pressed his tongue against her spine. He ran it upward in a wet line until it reached the base of her neck, and lingered there. "Let's not forget who's the expert at teasing, my lady," his voice ran out like a cool breeze, his lips brushing the soft hair at the back of her neck.
