Vlad touched her cheek, leaned in and kissed her, full of love and heat. He was touched that she was granting him this control. He would make it wonderful for her. He sat up and took his place in front of her, parting her legs with strong but gentle hands. He reconnected slowly, guiding himself in until they were together again. He slid against her in slow thrusts. His hands slid along her legs, guiding them up. He turned and placed kisses down her inner leg, to her ankle, his pace building gradually. He didn't push too deep or fast. She probably didn't remember that part of him, and he doubted very much she wanted it. Maybe someday, they'd be at that level again.

He realized he was assuming she would never remember him. He cast off the thought and remembered to focus. He'd lost his pace for a minute.

Tenele's breath quickened. She moaned at the feel of him. It felt good. Deliriously good. Her hands fisted in the sheets. Her green eyes turned upward with a wild look to them. She pushed up to kiss him, wrapping an arm around his neck. The change of angle made her cry out. "There. Right there. Ah!" She covered her mouth, embarrassment flushing her features.

Vlad looped an arm under her back, supporting her as he kissed her deeper, his tongue sliding into her as his pace increased against the spot she'd mentioned. "Here?" he teased her. He shifted her angle slightly. "Or here," his sultry voice purred. He could cheat. He already knew what she liked.

"Ah!!" She clutched at him, eyes clenching shut. "There! There!" She huffed harder, rolling her hips. Her body shook. "Don't stop. Don't... stop!"

Vlad did as he was asked. "Ah...fuck..." he moaned, his rhythm quick and tight inside her. His body had hurt so much a few hours earlier....the pleasure was more than he could have imagined. Even without her memories, she was the most wonderful thing in his universe. He gritted his teeth, eyes glowing with affection and need.

Tenele shattered with a cry, shuddering with each thrust he made. The ecstasy was beyond anything she'd imagined it could be. "Vlad!" She wrapped her arms around him tightly, huffing against his shoulder as he continued onward to his own release.

Vlad held her tight, kissing her neck and sucking at her skin. He pushed to his full length inside of her and growled out her name as her body pulled him over the edge.

He rolled next to her, holding her tightly in his arms. "I'm never letting you go," he swore, delirious with affection.

Tenele smiled as she curled against him. Her heart raced, thumping so hard she shook. "I'm okay with that," she whispered to him. There was no telling what time of night it was. She didn't know how long she slept before waking up, and then in turn waking him up. It didn't occur to her to be concerned that someone might have heard them. Nothing seemed to matter beyond the moment they shared together. "Thank you," she whispered, trailing her fingers over his skin. "I'm sorry if I was abrupt. I needed that. I needed burn in something better, and boy, did you do that."

Vlad smiled at her, a real smile. "I am yours. You may be abrupt or subtle, fast or slow, I will love you the same. I will always be yours." He rested his head on the pillow and watched her happily, looking vulnerable in a way that only she ever got to see. He thought about telling her how grateful he was to be needed, how much it meant to him to be accepted, but he didn't want to hurt the moment by seeming needy. She was giving him what she could at the moment, she was trying, and that was all he could ask.

Tenele sighed softly at his words, snuggling a little closer. She reached out and drew the covers over them. "Good night," she whispered wearily against his chest. It didn't take Tenele long to fall a sleep.

A few hours later there was a heavy knock on the door. "Breakfast in ten," the gruff voice announced. "The King invites you to his quarters for breakfast." Tenele groaned, the voice sounding like nothing more than white noise.

Vlad's first reaction to the sudden noise was untargeted anger. Then he realized who he was with, and his arms tightened around the woman in his arms. Pleasure and suprise filled him, and the anger was forgotten in an instant.

Then he realized what the man had said.

The vampire went stiff and still, every defensive mechanism triggering at once. He curled his fingers in Tenele's hair, not breathing.

The feeling of his fingers in her hair, added by the fact she just realized a voice had been telling her something. Her gaze fluttered open, lifting to his red eyes. "Is it morning?" she asked him with a yawn. "I feel like I just fell asleep." Her body still trembled, but that was from the fact she'd been feeding Vlad blood for the last two weeks.

"It is," Vlad answered distractedly. "We were just invited to breakfast."

Tenele smiled. "Breakfast," she mused. "I could use breakfast. I haven't eaten very much in the last three days." She sat up slowly, stretching as much as she could in the confined space. Tenele leaned across him and grabbed the silk dress up from the floor. She pressed a kiss to his lips and climbed over him out of bed to dress. She flexed her ankle once she had her closed on. It was stiff, but not nearly as sore. The medicine had done its job.

Vlad got up less eagerly. He seemed unfocused as he drew on his discarded pants and shirt. "We're invited to dine with Atul," he clarified.
