Havi pressed up onto his elbow, trying to see what she was listening to. He'd caught something too, a male voice. "No one should be in that direction."
_____
"W-wait!" Ren twitched. His dick felt hypersensitive, unable to catch up to the intensity of Laurius's demanding hands. He squirmed in his master's arms in an ineffective move to ease the friction, but it only seemed to drive him harder. The hard heat pressed into his back excited and panicked him. Sensation built up with near-painful speed. "It's....ah, too fast-! Hagh!"

Tenara frowned. She didn’t want to move. She wasn’t even certain her legs would work properly, but the good nature of her heart wouldn’t let her ignore someone in need.
She groaned and stepped away from Havi, scooping up their discarded clothes. She passed Havi is clothes and pulled her slip back on. Soaked and near-translucent as it was, it was at least ankle-length. She thought about stepping into the river to wash Havi’s seed from where it clung to her legs, but the thought made her sad and it also seemed like a waste of time. Someone was in trouble, after all. How would she feel if she didn’t get to them in time because she stopped to bathe?
“Maybe it’s someone from the ship. Maybe they found the island,” she said, suddenly hopeful and already trudging her weary legs in the voice’s direction. Tenara had watched the shore more often than most of them, but not for rescue. She’d watched for survivors. If there were any at all, if they weren’t floating dead in their boats from dehydration and exposure, they must have landed on another part of the island.

Laurius thrust his hips against Artisuren in time with the movement of his hand, grinding his hardness against the man. It wasn’t enough. Not nearly enough. But he could deal with his own release in a minute. Right now, he wanted to break Ren.
He did not relent. He gave no mercy. “That’s it, Ren. Let me hear that pretty voice of yours. Come on. Come for me. Cry for me.”

Havi didn't question her choice to investigate. He rose and shook out his trousers before drawing them back on. As they began jogging toward the sound, he heard it again, a cry of what sounded like pain. "That sounds like Artisuren."
___________
Ren grabbed at Laurius's arms in vain. His skin felt too hot for his body, and the overstimulated nerves in his dick were beginning to throb and reach out for more. He was going to come before his master. Kisva would be livid if he ever came this fast. He thrashed in the water. "Wait! You, fucking... agh!" He arched his back with a sharp cry.

Tenara moved faster, weaving her way through the trees and vines as fast as her bare feet would take her. She followed the voice as it grew louder, skirting along the creek and around the bend where she thought she saw the shape of figures through the trees.
—
Laurius’s arm locked tight around Ren’s chest to hold him still. He buried his face in the man’s neck, huffing hot breaths against his skin. His hand gluided over Ren, relishing the feel of Ren’s cries vibrating against his chest.
“That’s it. Sing. Such a beautiful voice,” he murmured. “If you’re a good boy and come for your master, I’ll let you have a taste of me.”

The man's sultry promise stole the last of Ren's composure. He stretched back against him and groaned, squirting helplessly into the air with each pump of Laurius's hand. His tight cries cut the quiet of the rainy woods with each spasm.

Tenara stumbled to a stop when she rounded the bend and spotted Ren and Laurius in the water. Her efforts not to fall forward into the creek sent her careening back into Havitharon. She was too caught up in the sight for her mind to do much else than watch the last threads of Ren’s composure snap. She couldn’t even look away, though she felt she should. She really should…
But it happened so fast. He was crying out and he was spilling into the air, and Laurius was grunting appreciative praises into the man’s ear. Tenara was reminded of the warmth still clinging to her skin. Her cheeks burned, wondering if anyone would tell.
Then, the business man’s gaze found them. There was only a second of surprise, but no shame. Tenera locked her thighs together, the sight made her ache for Havi’s thoroughness again. Laurius kept torturously moving his hand over the being until every drop had been spent and the air quieted to the sound of their feverish panting.
Tenara was panting too, but she thought mostly because she’d just been pounded into oblivion by Havi and went for jog afterwards. She reached back and held tight to him, realizing how tired her legs suddenly felt.
—-
“Princess,” Laurius greeted. “Havitharon.” He pressed a kiss to Artisuren’s shoulder, over his bite mark. “I hope we didn’t interrupt…”
His voice snapped Tenara awake. Her cheeks turned crimson and she twisted to bury her face in Havi’s chest. “We thought you were being murdered!!”

"So did I," Artisuren grumbled, but he couldn't stop the words from emerging as a moan. He shivered when Laurius kissed his bite. Through the filter of his orgasm, the throb translated as ecstasy.
He wasn't particularly troubled by the idea of someone watching them. Modesty was not a trait Kisva had valued, and so he had never cultivated it. It was rare to be the only male invited to her bed anyway. There was always an audience. Of course, Thvoros's presence was a slightly different story. The dominant male stood with his hands on the princess's shoulders, looking annoyed with them. As usual, Ren wasn't comfortable around him.
But it didn't matter right now. Right now, he was serving his master. He didn't need to make decisions. If Laurius wanted to milk him dry right here before their eyes, he wouldn't question it.

Laurius gave Artisuren a few more gentle strokes, pressing tender kisses to the bite. Then, he sighed, and released him, slinking back to sit on the half-submerged log. He appraised them, admiring how the wet fabric clung to their skin. “You weren’t any quieter, Princess. In fact, I could blame this all on the two of you.”
Tenara twisted her head around to glower at him, but her gaze caught sight of his arousal beneath the cutoff pants he wore. He smiled and lifted his hand to lick something off the back of it, before he rested it against his thigh.
“Don’t be so shy. Aren’t you to be my wife?” His voice danced playfully in the air.
She scoffed, but it seemed hard for her to focus on him with Artisuren standing nude just beside him and his desire proudly on display. It wasn’t any easier to look at them, not with the rain having saturated their clothes. “You don’t want to be a king, remember?” she finally said.
“Which is perfect, because you have no desire to be a queen.”
She stiffened, and he knew his hunch was right. He let the awkwardness linger in the air a moment more. He was tempted to make it worse, to push the level of their comfort by inviting them to join or watch in what he had hoped to guide Ren to do. Instead, his hand drifted to Ren’d backside. “How’s your skin now?”

Ren glanced back at Laurius. "My skin..." It took a few seconds to remember what he meant. "It's the same. Like I said, it just stings."
Havi cocked an eyebrow. "Your skin stings?"
Ren scowled at him. "None of your business."
"Where's your knife?" Havi said, this time to Laurius.

“In our tent,” Laurius said, confused. “Where’s your sword?”
Tenara shifted uncomfortably. “In our tent.” She was suddenly worried about it being there alone.
“Does your skin sting?” he asked Havi.

"No," Havi said to the merchant, as if giving a clue to a very dim toddler, "Because Tenara takes care of it. For instance, if I were dragged by a rope through salt water for a few days, then stored in the salt air for weeks on end, she would regularly clean me."

Laurius frowned. “I did clean him.”
“The keyword is regularly. I wipe the blade down nightly,” Tenara said. “The metal rusting hurts them. What happens to the blade happens to them, in some measure. When you clean the blade, he will feel better.”
“Then, I’ll clean it,” Laurius said seriously, rising. “I’m sorry. I didn’t know.”

Artisuren's expression grew furious. A minute ago, he'd been the center of Laurius's attention, the man's need pressed to his back like a shared secret. Now these two were fucking it up.
The last thing he needed was to lose favor with his master for being too high-maintenance. Not again. "Who asked you to rub your nose in any of this?" he snapped at Havitharon.
Havi returned the man's irritation. "Technically, your master did," Havi said, and looked at Laurius. "The entire purpose of this trip was to share information about us. How to use and maintain the swords and our bodies. What we're capable of. How we are made and unmade. As long as we're crammed on this island, maybe it's time we started comparing notes."

Laurius patted Artisuren's back, sighing. "He's right. I had hoped to get home, to have access to my copy of the book—"
"There's another book?" Tenara asked warily.
"Yes. Of course. Do you think I would have sold Arken the only copy?" he asked. "I found it in the Loight Archives, and then I had it entirely transcribed twice. I kept the original and one copy. I sold Arken the third."
"So there are three of those books floating around?!" Worry clawed at Tenara's chest. What if someone else got ahold of a copy? What if Arken found it and tried again?
"They are safely locked away. Only I know where they are," Laurius said, seemingly reading her fear. It didn't comfort her any.
"We don't have access to the book, and we don't have paper to keep track of our notes. We'll need to commit things to memory and transcribe them when—if—we get off this island," Laurius said, speaking to Havitharon. "You're right. Let's make use of our time."
"And if we never get off of this island?" Tenara asked softly.
"We'll make a lovely, very odd family," he said, smiling. He clapped his hands together, rising from the log. His body had wained slightly since discussing his neglect of Ren's dagger. "It's not even noon. Shall we get started? Let's go back and grab the blades and take a walk down the beach. It's probably safer to do our experiments away from our shelters given how the ship faired under Tenara's power."
Tenara faltered slightly, feeling a heaviness press over her shoulders. But, Laurius didn't notice. He was already climbing out of the creek and passing Ren his trousers.

Havi paused at Tenara's side, noticing her weariness. "I'm sorry. I did not handle that well," he told her quietly. "Do you wish to rest?"
Artisuren accepted his clothing from Laurius without a word. He knelt to get the last of the mud off his skin and had a mad impulse to punch the ground until his knuckles bled. Not only had he climaxed first, but his master was leaving unsatisfied. On top of that, Laurius had practically been scolded on his behalf, and it was clear the man was bothered by it. The princess's opinion was important to him. He should have kept his skin issue to himself. He should have stayed with Laurius in the tent.
Calm down. Focus. He pulled his pants on and took off after his master. Perhaps if they learned something useful on the beach, Laurius's mood would improve.
