Laya looked at him and a soft smiled creeped to her lips. She hadn't really smiled in a while... "Laya..." she said to him, glancing downwards and letting her eyes stay there, staring at her feet.
"I..." and she trailed off, not knowing really anything else to say. She felt slightly uncomfortable, though she wasn't afraid of him. But, now that he knew about what happened to her she felt a bit ashamed and emberassed.

"That's a nice name," Telanis said honestly. He knew very few human names, and they all sounded so interesting. He stumbled again slightly and turned his attention to keeping his balance, watching the ground earnestly. "This is hard," he commented ambiguously to Laya in a quiet voice. He hoped that changing the subject would relieve some of the discomfort emanating from her, which he judged was related to what she had confided in him earlier. How her experience was linked to the sense of shame she showed, he did not yet understand.

Telanis looked at Tetsumaru, feeling confident enough to look away from the ground thanks to Laya's gentle support around his arm..it was very strange, yet somehow pleasant to have contact like this.
"I know these woods very well," he explained to Tetsumaru as they passed over a trail and continued on into the untrodden forest. The unicorn had little value for trails, though as his feet caught on several rocks and branches hidden beneath the leafy ground and Laya had to steady him, he thought he was beginning to understand why humans used them. "We will be there very soon," he assured.
Sure enough, about fifteen minutes later they came to a more open part of the woods, and ahead of them stood Tetsumaru's cabin, just as he'd left it. "Is this your home?" Telanis asked the old man, just to be sure.

Tetsumaru walked up to the door and knocked on it, not really remembering that if it was his cabin then nobody would answer. "Nobody seemzu tsu be homu to asku," he responded. Then he noticed the little carvings written on the door in Ongoreth. They read [Tetsumaru's Home] "Oh waitu, thisu izu my homu."

"I-..I can walk," Telanis said assuringly, letting his arm slip out of Laya's supporting hold and following Tetsumaru to the door. He grinned at the man's reaction to his nameplate, deriving that Tetsumaru was somewhat senile. He stepped up to go through the door and lost his balance again, but he caught the doorframe - hands were useful! - and followed the old man into the cabin.

Laya stood outside the cabin looking to over and then her eyes trailed around at the surroundings before she worked up enough courage to walk into the cabin. From what she got from Tetsumaru's reaction she didn't think she had anything to worry about coming from him.
It was really hot to her inside the cabin. Though, it was a rather hot day it seemed and the cabin had been closed up. She just needed to get used to the temperature in the cabin. Maybe opening a few windows would help?

The unicorn was wandering around the room, inspecting its contents curiously. He had seen into human homes before, but this was his first time setting foot in one. He presently became transfixed by a tall wooden cupboard near the corner of the room. Unaware that it might be considered rude, he touched the handle and opened the cupboard door, seeming impressed by the hinge. He let it fall shut again, looked at it critically, and then opened it again to look in and examine the objects inside - mostly dishware and cooking supplies.
