Tenele smiled, arching her neck upwards. "Really? So... what is 'not going easy on me'? I'm intruiged," she replied, she moved around in front of him, her hands stretching up to the collar of his shirt and then back down, resting her palms flat on his chest.

She arched her neck and tilted her head up to look into those red eyes as her lips met his, closing her eyes as she began kissing him. She pulled away for a breath, the tingle of his lips still lingering on hers. She smirked. "I don't believe you, so I assume you'll just have to prove it..." Her smile was inviting, and she leaned in closer to him.

Vlad grinned fiendishly at her challenge. "You should already know," he whispered in her ear, touching the skin of her inner arm and letting his power trail into her like an intoxicating drink. His lips graced her ear and then pressed firmly to her neck, his fangs running lightly over her skin. He didn't bite down, focusing more on her sensation than his as he teased her. His other hand trailed down the curve of her back and cupped just above her buttocks, drawing her forward to that their waists pressed together. That part would have been impressive even without his vampiric arts. "But if I show you, we might miss our boat," he spoke seductively into her neck.

Tenele closed her eyes as his teeth grazed her neck. Her hole body went rigid, but whether it was from the pleasure of the sensation or something else it was impossible to tell. In fact she was forcing her thoughts away from what suddenly plagued her, an undeniable fear that he’d bite down fiercely. That he’d hurt her. She had to force those thoughts from her mind, for she knew very well that Vlad would never treat her like that monster had treated her. But, it did not stop them from surfacing in her mind. She beat it back and finally relaxed again in his grip, allowing herself to be pulled even closer to him.

At the mention of their boat she suddenly came back to awareness. “Oh, well we better take the quick way to the docks then,” she said, blinking and looking at his fully stuffed suitcase. She smiled. “I guess you’ll just have to spend the trip across the ocean showing me?”

Vlad fell abruptly still as he sensed something he hadn't been prepared for at that moment from Tenele - fear. He was a vampire, after all. He could sense her terror like a sweet aroma, and it filled him with the urge to do more than tease her. He redrew from her with some effort as she began speaking about the boat, apparently unaware of his reaction. It was odd that while her fear told him she was quite aware he was a monster, her casual change of subject implied at the same time that she was oblivious of his potential to hurt her. He'd even taken her blood without restraint in the past, yet she risked herself teasing him and biting his neck.

As much as he was excited by it, he didn't want her to be afraid of him. It made her smell like food. If she could ever know these hungers and powers he lived with, he had a feeling she would never be willing to trust him that way again.

"If you insist," he remembered to respond to her question, using his usual mischievous tone. Stepping away from her, he lifted his suitcase as if it weighed nothing. "Let's find ourselves some big hats," he said.

Tenele smiled softly, taking his hand gently with hers. "Alright, lets find you a big hat," she agreed.

The ship was large, with huge beautiful and pristine white billowing sails. The wood was a deep red brown, and trimmed in gold. It was the largest of the ships, mostly because it was a voyager and not a military vessel. Next to it was ship almost equal in size, with large rust colored sails and an unfamiliar flag beating in the wind. It must have been the ship that the Outerlander's had arrived on.

"There is our ride," she said, pointing to the magnificent white sailed ship. It was being loaded with cargo and people were walking the gange plank upwards to the main deck.

Once on board a short stout man with a red beard came to great them. "Lady Raider, I'm Captain Alphonse and I will be guiding the ship on this monumental voyage. We will be setting sail momentarily. If you would like to get settled in your cabin, Sedrick will show you the way." He motioned to a small boy with a bright smile. He bowed eleborately and then motioned for them to follow him.

"This way, miss!" he called, running across the deck towards the door that led to the lower levers. The cabin was on the next level down at th every back of the ship.

It was a larger room than she had expected, with a wide open glass window that would surely give a nice vew of the ocean. The bed was positioned in front of it, stretching from one end of the wall to the other. Long and wide it had thick fluffy pillows on either side. The fabric was a golden yellow, and filled the area with even more warmth. There was a space for you to store your luggage and clothing, and in the other corner a place for you to wash up if you wished. Oil lamps dangled from the ceiling and hung from hooks on the wall.

"Here you go miss," he said, moving out of the way for them to enter.

She turned to thank him, but the boy had already started running back down the hall.

"Oh, well..." She smirked, shifting into the room for a better look.

Vlad stepped in behind her, scanning the room with vague interest. Behind them followed two bellhops carrying large wooden boxes. Vlad ignored them as they set them inside the room and dismissed themselves. Sinead had deemed it appropriate to send them along with a few weeks' supply of medical blood. Apparently, eating the Outlanders would cause a diplomatic scandal. He blocked the thought of the foul lukewarm rations from his mind and dropped his luggage against the wall.

It was a nice room, for a boat. Enough space to walk around. Two beds. Surely Sinead had seen to that. A private bath, with water that could be drawn by pump. A private tap was quite a luxury on a ship; fresh water was heavy and precious. Feeling a general sense of approval, he almost immediately grew bored of the space. "Exactly how long do you estimate it will take to sail to the Outlands?" he asked Tenele dryly, walking across the room to examine the porthole window.

Tenele jumped and fell back on the large bed in front of the vast window that stretched across the back of the ship. The window was made of small square pains of rippling glass that distorted the view of the ocean only a little bit.

"I don't know... But, I'm sure you won't be entirely bored. Their are plenty of nobles and warriors on bored to prank until your hearts desire..." She rolled over onto her side, the sun coming in through the large window and her hair glowed a brillant shimmering silver. "And there are other ways to amuse yourself, I'm sure." She smiled at him, stretching back with her arms out behind head.

Water slapped against the side of the ship and it rocked ever so slightly from one side to the other. She reached down and undid the boots at her feet, slipping them off and tossing them into the corner so that she could make herself more comfortable.

She watched him as he peered through the smaller port hole windows on either side of the room. Then, with a grin she picked up one of the many pillows that littered the bed and tossed it at him.

Vlad's hand raised up and caught the pillow. It was a little too fast to see and he definitely hadn't looked. "Well, I'll be holding you responsible for my entertainment," he informed her darkly, a smile growing now on his face. There was a dull thud as all the remaining pillows on the bed scattered and then piled on top of her.

A low horn sounded from outside. The pounding of feet on deck could be heard through the walls; a boat was only so private. "We appear to be casting off," Vlad observed.

"Oh! Yay!" she exclaimed, sitting up and letting the pillows fall off of her form. Her green eyes watched him for a moment and she tilted his head. There was something different about the way he looked to her, though she couldn't put her finger on it. She decided to ignore it, for all she knew he could have gotten a hair cut and she hadn't noticed.

"So, do you want to stay down here or go up on deck and watch Ighten fade into the distance?" her feet touched the floor and she made her way to him, her arms reaching up and twining around his neck. Her body felt a bit cooler than normal, but she didn't notice at all. She pressed closer to him, tilting her head up so she could gaze into those warm red orbs.

"I think you were going to show me what not going easy was like," she whispered with a playful smirk.

Vlad touched her, feeling oddly warm and uncomfortable. It wasn't the temperature, exactly, it was more like his pulse was trying to beat too fast. He focused on it and brought it back to a slow, near-dead beat and felt himself feel normal again. Odd..he disliked boats, but as far as he'd been aware, it was far from being some type of phobia. Why the adrenaline? He ignored it and focused on Tenele's presence in front of him, for she'd said something very interesting.

"Well," he grinned, tracing his fingers along her chest and walking them up along her collarbone to the base of her neck. "I could, of course, do that. But I somehow doubt you could handle it," he said smugly. He was quite certain and proud that if he did do his job right, the entire ship would ponder what was lost in translation in the meaning of "bodyguard".

"Oh really?" she asked, smirking. "I bet I could prove you wrong if you give me the chance..." She leaned in so that her hole body was pressing against him, even her legs. She smirked, slipping her hands down and slowly unbuttoning his shirt before ducking under his arm and coming around behind him. She pulled gently and let the fabric slide off of him. As she backed towards the door and pressed her back to it, her hand came up and slid the lock shut with a loud "clunk".

She grinned mischeiviously, holding her hand there just above her head.

"Or are you afraid of losing a bet?"

"I don't lose often," Vlad warned her, stalking toward her so that he cornered her against the door, his taller body curving over hers and pressing it seductively into the wood. His hands slid under the back of her skirt and caressed her back as he kissed her once on the lips and then slid his tongue in a slow, firm line along the edge of her jawbone to just under her ear. His hunger flared up, but he had plenty of experience controlling it. It stood back like a well-behaved bystander, though it lent a touch of urgency to Vlad's caresses as he undid her blouse and pulled it away from her shoulders.

Tenele sighed softly at the feel of his hands, almost content. Now, this was a good way to spend her diplomatic "vacation". She quickly made work undoing his pants as well as getting rid of the blet that had been around her waist. It clattered to the floor at their feet.

She pushed against his shoulders playfully until she had shoved him over to fall back on the bed, falling into the wamr sunlight filtering in through the large window. Her lips trailed down his neck and chest, only to meet his lips once more.

"You'll lose this bet, I gaurentee it," she breathed into his ear. Her touch was dramatically cooler now, almost to hard to miss. She still didn't notice the change in her own body temperature.

Vlad felt a strange burst of nausea shoot through him, there one second, gone the next. He caught his breath, but it wasn't that hard to ignore, considering the circumstances. Tenele's body was pressed to his, and he was able to concentrate on the smell of her hair and skin. His hands found their way around her back and he held her firmly against him, running his tongue along her neck. His body thrummed with pleasure as he let his two hungers feed into each other, kissing down her neck, but careful not touch her with his teeth. He remembered her reaction earlier, and he'd lose the bet for sure if he alarmed her.

He stilled for a moment as he felt another hot flash, like the room had suddenly become absurdly warm. This was stronger than before. Confused, he instinctively pressed his cheek to the cooler skin of Tenele's chest. The pleasantness of the sensation was curbed as it dawned on him how absurd that was. "Tenele?" he said, his face still pressed to her neck with a quizzical expression. "I'm not sure how this is possible, but I think I have a temperature." He blinked as another wave of nausea passed through him and his heart began beating too fast.

Tenele laughed softly, and she couldn't help but notice how his skin to seem so much more warmer than usual. It was strange indeed. She ran her hand gently across his cheek as he hugged his face to her neck and the choker that was wrapped around it.

"Are you sick?" she asked him quickly, wondering how he could grow so sick so suddenly. "You aren't allergic to me, are you?" Her voice was soft and she was quiet for a moment as she listened to his heart beat....

That's strange... She could litterally hear his hear beating in her ears. A drum role, though erratic.... But, just as soon as it had appeared it faded. She narrowed her eyes in confusion. "Vlad, I think we should stop..." Her heart skipped a beat, stopped, and skipped another beat... She could litterally feel the strange rythem in her chest. Like her hole body was winding down, a magic clock that had lost its power...

She chose to ignore it, because right now the Vampire was actually sick...
