Lore: Amane and Hikari

Hikari followed the woman, looking back behind her. She had this uneasy feeling come over her for a moment and she didn't know whether she wanted to go in or not. She followed though, if this woman could help her, she needed to trust her... Somewhat.

"You can sit in there if you want." Amane told her, "I'll be back soon." She opened one of the rooms on her right and motioned her in.

"So she's the girl huh?" The woman asked her as she walked away.

"Yep." Amane told her as she walked in a different room with the old lady. The lady told one of the girls to bring her some tea.

A few minutes later, one of the girls sold to the brothel was walking with a tray and two cups of tea on it. Her face makeup was messed up with finger prints, her kimono was wrinkled a bit and her obi was tied in front loosely. She had a defeated look in her eyes as she walked

Hikari watched carefully, looking around suspiciously and noting the exits encase she needed to get out quickly. She hoped that this girl was really helping her...

Hikari was really a pretty girl, with lovely rosy cheeks. At the moment she looked like a magnificent geisha, with white make-up, blood red lips...

A few minutes later, one of the girls sold to the brothel was walking with a tray and two cups of tea on it. Her face makeup was messed up with finger prints, her kimono was wrinkled a bit and her obi was tied in front loosely. She had a defeated look in her eyes as she walked down the hall. She opened the door to where Hikari was waiting then apologized and took the tea to the right door.

Amane held some coins in her hand as she returned to the room. A few guys were walking behind her as she opened the room and walked in.

"They'll escort you to where you need to be." Amane told her.

Hikari stood up and walked towards the few guys... She didn't know what to do, she didn't know who to trust at the moment. She just had to have faith in this woman.

The two men escorted her down to the basement.

"Wait here." One told her and they left.

In the room was a futon and some bedding. It didn't smell like the room had been used for sex or anything like that. It had a small dresser with a mirror and was a storage for things like Kimono and things like that.

Amane walked to the top of the building and met the owner who was a young man.

"I see you've come back." he said with his back to her. A girl was getting dressed in the other part of the room.

"And I see that you're still the same as ever. I have a guest, make sure you don't mistake her for another girl in the brothel." Amane told her.

He laughed a bit, "Fine. Now get out before I make you work."

Amane stood up, bowed and walked down to the basement.

Hikari took a seat on the bed, looking around the room for a moment. She felt uneasy, unsure. She didn't understand why she was in a basement... and she didn't understand why there were so many half-naked people here.

She heard someone coming down the basement steps and she stiffened for a moment until she could see who it was.

Many half drunk men roamed the halls in the company of the girls there walking to one room or another.

Amane dodged a few drunks chasing eachother down the hall. She wanted to laugh at them and cry for them at the same time.

When she reached the basement she saw Hikari sitting there.

"First time in a brothel before?" She asked as she hung up her cloak on a nail on the wall.

Hikari nodded. "Yes," she said and relaxed a great deal. "I don't get out much... Though, I've always wanted to travel..."

"Are you from around here? Or just visiting?" she asked calmly, pushing a strand of black hair that had fallen out of the eleborate hair design that had been put into her hair.

"I live here I guess." She told her. "I lost my memory but apparenly I knew these people and even worked for them once. But I can't remember even if I did." Amane walked over to a door and pushed it open. A hot steam that smelled of Jasmine rushed from the room.

"Don't worry about anything, the people here aren't the greatest but they do keep you out of trouble when you need it. Please try to relax. I'm going to go have a bath." With that Amane exited the room.

Hikari decided to relax so she laid back on the bed, fiddling with the sleeves of her pretty white kimono. She sighed, wondering what could be done that was even remotely interesting... She didn't really need a bath at the moment. She had bathed this morning before getting her hair done.

She sat up, walking towards the stair case and looking up. She wouldn't dare risk going up, someone might mistake her as a... a whore...

She could understand how the job might be entertaining, but that lady before didn't look very happy.

As always the girls in the bath greeted her as she undressed and began to bathe. She waded in the large bath and sat down. That's when they bagan to talk.

"Back again?" One asked her.

"Yes; I've got some one with me this time."

"A good man?" Another asked.

"No, a woman on the run from a marriage." Amane told them.

"That's not like you. Normally you'd drag them back and force them to face thier own battles." The first said, "You've changed. What's happened and why are you cut again?"

"I got into a fight. I lost my memory, I thought you knew that." Amane told them.

"Sorry, we can't tell you much except that you hated when we complained about certain things but if we got in trouble you were good to us unlike many people we know."

"Probibly I can't think of you guys as.. as.. well you know."

"We know. I think I should get back to work. I'd like to get out of this place soon."

"I should get out before I get dizzy." Amane told them. "Good night."

"Good night." They called back as she exited.

Hikari went back to the bed, sighing as she reached behind her and pulled her hair free from the pins, putting the pins on a table in the room, and the hairpeices with it. She looked in the mirror at her long hip length hair which was as straight as a board, and as black as midnight.

"Hmm..." she thought for a moment, looking at her face that had white paint all over it, with rosey cheeks, and blood red lips.

Amane came into the room and pulled out several boxes and opened the corners of them.

"Try not to go upstairs very often, if you appear too much they will put you to work. If you stay down here all the time you won't get anything to eat. Just be careful."

Amane chose a gold colored kimono with white cranes and a sunset design on the bottom. She put on a light robe and then the actual kimono.

"Help me with this. I have to go upstairs, I'll be looking for the gentlemen that will be after you, they should be here by late tonight." She held out the obi to Hikari.

Hikari helped her with the kimono, trying the obi and the cord around the middle. "How do you know he will be coming," she asked the girl calmly, though the inside of her was screaming.

She had been alone with that man many times, and knew how his hands liked to wonder when he was drunk, or angry.

"If he comes here... He'll surely find me..."
