Lore: Drakeshead Inn and Tavern
When Ora sat down Daylan passed her the thick red wine. He took a drink himself, before resting the glass on the ground. "It's all right. I'd like to consider you a friend, a fairly rare commidity in this city. I would not do to have that guard kill you." he took another sip of his wine, his hand creeping slowly towards hers.

Ora smiled, taking a sip of the wine. "He wouldn't have killed me..." she whispered, shivering slightly. She didn't notice his hand creeping towards hers just yet. She then looked up at Daylan and smiled. "I'm glad we are friends," she said, blushing faintly.
She felt a little emberassed, but pushed it away. "Um... would you like something to eat?" She brushed hair away... though there wasn't really any in front of her eyes. She usually brushed her hair back behind her ears when she felt a bit nervous or flattered... or sometimes just doing it out of habit.

Daylan continued to snake his hand towards hers, "Perhaps he'd do worse then. And I'm glad to have you as a friend too." He took a small sip of his wine and smiled a bit.
"No thank you, I'm not hungry at all." he said softly before his fingers clenched around hers. He was even more nervous than her.

Ora glanced down at his hand... and then slowly her eyes rose up to meet his. She smiled softly... closing her own fingers around his, her cheeks turning almost crimson.
"Alright..." she spoke softly, her bright eyes still looking at him. She felt like a child with a crush all of the sudden and wished for nothing more than to hide her head under the covers.
"It is late..." she said, as the bell began to ring tolling that another hour had passed. "I wouldn't want you to walk home alone... and its rather redundant if you walked me home and I walked you home only to have to be walked back him..." She laughed softly and looked around.
"You can sleep in that room," she said, pointing to her room. "I mean... unless you want to walk home alone... I... I guess your not afraid of many things... Er... Its not much... and its not as nice as where you live... but, its comfortable," she said with a smile. "I can sleep in the other room."
It was just a pantry, but any other person would think it a room unless they opened the door. As soon as he was settled and comfortable she would sleep on the couch... which wasn't that bad. Its where Joe slept and he most likely wouldn't be coming home...

Daylan felt his breathing and heart speed up at the same time. He himself was just as red as hers, if not more so. His fingers twined about hers. He felt as though his tongue were tied into a huge knot."It is very l-late." he stutteredout after a long pause. "I'll stay here then." he laughed a little bit at that. "I won't walk home, I don't want to have to deal with those guards." He looked over into the other room. He really didn't care. "Why don't you stay in the other r-room with me?"

Ora's eyes widened and she glanced to her room. Stay in the room with him? In the same bed? Oh... uh.... that’s a little... erm... uncomfortable... I don't know... I think I can trust Daylan not to try anything... But... in the same bed. With my boss!! Her pretty face flushed if possible more and she lowered her head, turning it away slightly.
"I... eh... I don't know. The bed is pretty small... I don't want you to be uncomfortable..." she stammered, standing up and walking towards the door of the bed room. She really was all of the sudden ashamed of how pitiful and small and poor looking it was. The bed, mostly stuffed with straw… She didn’t know if she should let Daylan sleep on it….

Daylan looked at her nervousness. He had best not force her to do anything. He felt more relieved than miffed however. He felt it would have been an awkward situation. "All right then. But I don't want you to be uncomfortable either. Where are you sleeping?" He looked into the bed-room. he was beginning to notice the somewhat squalid conditions.

Ora didn't want to lie to him so she looked to the couch. "Thats comfortable enough... and I'm smaller than you so I'll fit nicely on it," she said with a soft smile. "Would you like to bathe? I can get you some hot water in the tub in at least ten minutes..."
"Here... let me get you some clothes to sleep in... I'm sure my brother has some pants..." She walked over to a small door in the wall and opened it, digging around in a drawer she pulled out. She turned with a nice pair of deep blue cotton pants. "Would you like a shirt to go with it?"

Daylan nodded at that, "All right then. You are a little smaller than me. And no thank you, I bathed this morning actually." He watched as she went to get him a pair of pants. He predicted that things would get fairly awkward in a few moments. "Actually, I generally don't sleep with clothes on, but I'll take those pants."

Ora looked at him and laughed. "Then its a good thing we did not sleep in the same room," she said with a good bit of humor in her voice.
"Well, I'm going to bath as soon as you get situated in the room..." She said walking into the room and bring out a tin tub that barely fit through the door. She placed it on the floor in front of the fire and went to a bucket starting the feel it full of water.
"You can change in my room..." she said poring the water into the tub. "Oh... I better get some clothes..." She said walking back into the room and grabbing some clean clothes, her cothes for the next day and a soft nightgown to sleep in.

Daylan smiled at that, "That's quite true then." He had already taken off his shirt. He took the pants and went into her room once she was done getting the tub out. When she came out with her own clothes he stripped down and came out in the pants. They were a little loose he thought, before going to the straw bed.

Ora pulled the door closed to her room... it had never closed all the way. Basically because the house was uneven... badly and the door was a bit crooked.
She poored the water in and then began to fill it with hot water from a kettle over the fire. It mixed with the cold water and made it barable for the skin. Ora slipped from her clothing and sat down in the tub, steam floating from the water into the air.
She sighed, soaking her sore muscles in the water and washing her long jet black hair. Finally she climbed out of the water and dried off, slipping the cotton gown over her naked form and climbing onto the couch, pulling a small blanket over her.
She could hear the wind coming in through the cracks in the walls... and the missing pane of her window... She hated her home, and felt ashamed that Daylan had to see it.

Daylan sniffed the air as he sat upon the straw bed. He really doped there weren't any bugs inside of it. As he looked about the room he realized just how poor she was. He wasn't as arrogant as most nobles were, his father had taught him to be otherwise. Pushing away his discomfort he closed his eyes and slowly drifted off to sleep.

Ora fell a sleep quickly, curled up under the small tattered blanket and woke early the next morning. She sat up, it was still dark outside and the fire had died out. She shivered from the chill she got and stood up, folding the blanket. She tripped and stumped her toe on the metal tub. "Oww..." she hissed, lifting her foot and rubbing her sore toe. She hoped she didn't wake Daylan up... though she didn't think he would sleep to comfortably in the bed. She should have gave him the couch....
Ora pulled the cotton nightgown over her head and draped it on the couch. She took some cold water and washed her face, arms and neck. Then, figured she better put on some clothes before Daylan walked in to a rather surprising sight. She pulled on her knee length slip and then her blue skirt. She buttoned up her white blouse, then tucked it in and wrapped her belt around her, clipping it. She took her long black hair in her hand and braided it. Then, stepped over to the tub of dirty water and dragged it to the front dor and opened the door, pulling it out on the porch, she winced, she was making to much noise. She was used to doing this when only she was home. She decided she would do it when she came home that night and left it on the porch out of the way of the door.
Ora walked to the door to her room and knocked softly. "Daylan... are you awake?"

Daylan awoke suddenly, feeling as cold as Ora. He collected his clothes and slipped them. He reached into a pocket that couldn't have been nearly large enough to hold it. He heard Ora stub her toe and chuckled a little to himself. He opened thew book, running his hands over the runes as he mumbled them aloud.
All the sounds and the chill of the room departed almost instantly, his aches and pains from sleeping in a bed too small. He felt the arcane power rush through his fingers and burn into his mind. He replaced the book and slowly eased himself to his feet. He looked as the door opened, "Yes I'm awake." he said cheerfully.
