Laya screamed more out of pain than fear when it felt as if her wrist was wripped off. The man dragged her in and she stumbled to her knees, tripping over her own feet. She tried to beat his hand off of her hurt wrist, to many things happening to quickly to understand what was going on.
She saw Telanis, saw where there hands were and what they were trying to do. "Leave him alone! Don't do that! STOP IT!" Now she even jerked her hurt wrist painfully. "Leave... him... alone...."

Adonis squinted slightly at the weight of two people on his back, but adjusted and set his hooves into motion, falling into a lope; it was just a bit too heavy to gallop, but far faster than being on foot. The only problem was, now he had to figure out where to go. He could sense the direction of his brother's voice from his message, but he could still feel his emotions just slightly. He ran toward them, thrown off by the unexpected streets and buildings blocking his way, but finally he knew they were very closeby. He stood there panting, not sure where to turn.
The old man on the ground looked up at them curiously. More foreigners. You...looking for you friends?" he managed to ask in their language, sounding nervous.
Telanis stared in horror as Laya was brought into the room. No...he thought. He fought again to get free, and was slammed back into the wall hard enough to make him see stars.
"Hurry it up, guys. Don't forget the boss said to meet in the square at three for the strategy discussion."
"You got it, said Oto, clutching Laya's chin and running his tongue up her neck. "It'll be faster now that we don't hafta share." Telanis stared at Laya protectively, before a rough hand grabbed the back of his head, tugging him by his hair forward into someone's crotch. To his own shock, Telanis knew what to do, and clenched his teeth to keep himself from doing it.

"Yes!" Neko said urgently, patting Adonis's mane. "Where are they?" Kratos looked from the old man to his sister. She was taking on more charge, and he wondered how she knew what the horse sensed? The old man pointed them in the direction of the building across the road and Neko kicked Adonis into action. As soon as they approached, Kratos jumped off Adonis's back and kicked down the door. He drew his sword out against the soldier's crowding both Telanis and Laya.
"Back down." He warned them, knowing full well there was probably going to be a fight.

The soldier holding Laya was off guard and released her hand in surprise, but the grew angry and grabbed onto her even harder, one arm wrapping like a vice around her neck and the other roaming down her body. "Behave or die," he said harshly, just as the door suddenly burst in and two unfamiliar figures entered the room.
The soldiers' response....was laughter. "What the hell do you expect to accomplish in here, boy?" taunted a guard, tightening his grip on Telanis's hair while facing the man and his sister. "If you want to live, just turn around, and walk away." Telanis cringed at them from the corner of his eye, his contracted pupils begging them to leave.

The guards had no intention of backing down to these two upstarts. Three men ran at Kratos and two at Neko, drawing katanas from their sides. The man who'd been holding Telanis threw him roughly against the wall and turned on Neko as well. Laya's captor sneered and dragged her toward the back of the room.
Telanis sank to the floor, breathing heavily. He tried, but couldn't organize his thoughts; panic had made him lose control of the definitions between his mind and the others'. He knew nothing about fighting. How could he help them? He tried to muster the will to stand.

Kratos and neko sprang into action as they dodged, parried, and counterattacked their attackers. The soldiers were relying on their brute strength to bring them down, while Neko and Kratos were swifter--thanks to their father's training.
Neko was jumping around and mostly dodging her attackers, tiring them out. Kratos was meeting his blow for blow. Kratos had already felled the 3rd man when he looked up to see that Laya was gone. 'Damn,' he thought, thinking the worst for her. He looked at Telanis while trying to avoid being hit. Telanis looked completely out of it. He knew the unicorn was suffering at the moment but...
"Telanis, get on the horse and find Laya! Try to save her! We'll be behind you!" Kratos cried out.
A thump was heard in the corner of the building, Neko had knocked out two of her attackers by having them run into each other.

Telanis snapped out of his trance at Kratos' instructions. He was relieved that the other man had a plan, because at the moment following directions was about all he was good for. He stumbled to his feet and ran out the door toward the exit, but when he reached it he found more soldiers - a lot more. Adonis was a conspicuously beautiful animal, and his charging through the village with two riders had drawn a lot of attention, from the wrong people. Adonis was standing several yards away, glaring disdainfully at the guards that slowly approached him while the others moved to flood into the building. Telanis's eyes widened. He whirled back toward the inside of the building and shouted "Kratos! Trouble!" before a sharp whack to the back of his neck knocked him out.
Adonis snorted angrily and shoved through the soldiers toward Telanis, while the others ran in to where Kratos and Neko were fighting. Laya's captor was dragging her out the back of the room when he tripped over a lit lantern that was standing on the ground. He released her with a curse as the lantern broke and flames spread up his leg. Meanwhile, the spread over the floor as well.

The man dragged Laya into the next room and closed the door behind them. He went to move and suddenly Laya found herself on the floor, a wall of fire went up, consuming the door and spreading up the man's leg.
Laya pushed herself up and moved to the far end of the room, running to a window and trying to open it with one arm as the room began to fill with smoke.
The oil fire leaked under the door, breaking out a fire on the otherside as well.

Smelling the smoke, Neko snapped her head in the direction of the fast spreading fire. That can't be good... While her attention was diverted, her last attacker took his chance to smack Neko to the ground.
"Stop fighting, submit woman!" he spat at her. Neko glared and opened her mouth to give him a nasty retort but...
SHLICK
Kratos's sword pertruded from the soldier's stomach. His blood coating the steel and dripping to the floor. The soldier gave a cough and his eyes rolled to the back of his head. Kratos drew his sword out of the soldier and watched him fall to the ground. He helped up his sister with a grim look on his face. He hated killing, but no one would submit his sister like that. All the soldier's had been disposed of, at least the ones that had come to fight them.
Now the fire was a new problem. They needed to get out but Laya was locked in a room somewhere in this burning building. They couldn't possibly find her like this. Yanking his sister towards the door, Kratos ran them outside while Neko screamed they had to save Laya.
"How could we possibly find her!?" He yelled back. The flames inside were consuming the building now, eating it from the inside out. Neko glared at her brother.
"Watch," she said. She darted around the building calling out Laya's name, hoping Laya could hear her.

Laya pulled on the window with one hand, trying hard to lift it. She growled when she didn't have the strength in that one hand to do it.
She heard her name being called.
"I'm in here!" she screamed... she looked back at the window...
"This is going to hurt..." She muttered. "I'm going out the window!!"
She stood back, holding her dislocated wrist to her chest... She lowered her head and ran, diving towards the window. She flew out of the glass. Shards scrapped her exposed skin. She landed on the ground, hitting her head it seemed at the moment she landed.
She laid, knocked out. She was layning there on her back, the kimono opened out around her body. It obviously had not gone the way she had planned.
