Lore:(Mature)To fetch some clothes...

This is the forest that covers most of Ighten in dense and thick trees. It is the oldest forest in Heirot, since most of the Forests in Arken have been destroyed. It is well known as a haunted forest where ghosts and demons reside. In the forest are many villages. The villagers will tell you tales of trees that eat people, gaint spiders, and dragon lairs.

Sekushi smirked and tilted his head at Vlad. "In this town," he said in a dark tone. "No one is free. Nothing is free. Everything can be bought. Everything can be sold... And even if someone comes looking for her at least she was tormented a few days due to your lack of cooperation. Wouldn't you like to have that on your mind, while your laying this dark room..."

He walked a around, his hands clasped behind his back. "While a group of men is doing what them women did to you," he said, picking up a pack of blood set out for Vlad.

"Even if you claim it doesn't matter. Mess up one more time and I'll find out, because she'll be sent there as soon as my ears get wind of what you've done. Then we'll see how much you care for her well being, won't we?"

Vladimir tried to keep his fury off his face as he met the man's stare evenly. "It will be difficult to do as you ask in this condition. It'll take time to heal." He thought he might be able to get the night off for his injuries.

Sekushi stepped forward pulling out a bunch of keys from his pocket. "Try anything and you know what will happen," Sekushi said, unlocking the collar.

"As soon as you're healed and well it will go back on," Sekushi said as he took the collar off. "Her name, what is it?"

Tenele made a motion for him to calm his voice. "He's a man that I've been sent after. He is leading a smuggling operation as well as slave trading, which is illegal in Ighten."

"The sooner I can find him, the sooner I can get Vlad out of that place... The sooner we can get out of this town totally..."

Vlad felt a wave of relief as the collar unlatched and he felt his power coursing through his blood again. The wounds on his body began slowly closing; in twenty minutes he'd be healed. Suddenly he wished it would take longer.

"I was purchased by her a year ago as a normal slave. She's never bothered to tell me such unnecessary details about herself, and I wouldn't want to know even if she did," Vlad countered with a crazed smirk.

"Too bad you don't know," Sekushi said as he held the collar. "I wanted to know if her name was as pretty as she..."

Sekushi didn't seem like the one that took pleasure in tormenting people. But, in truth he was the sort of person that wanted to downgrade person to a point where they were so angry they would strike out.

He wanted Vlad to do something crazy. It would give him the reason to play an interesting game with his master.

"I guess she'll happen upon my room again tomorrow," he said and smirked. "Then I could show her real pleasure..." He seemed to be thinking of it, absentmindedly. "Healed yet?"

Vlad held up his wrists, which had been gashed severely by the spiked cuffs. Blood dripped down and gathered at his elbow as he raised them. "These will take more time," he said. He lbrought one wrist to his lips and licked it slowly without taking his demonic eyes away from Sekushi's. He wanted to see if he could faze this man. In a way, the two had that much in common.

"Better not waste any I guess," he said turning around. "Someone will come back by to put your collar on.

"When she comes back I'll be sure to make her scream loud enough for you to know she's here," he said as he closed the door behind him.

She headed back down the stairs to the common room.

"I think I might have a lead," Crackers said, gesturing for Tenele to follow him.

* * *

Vlad's anger seared up his spine at the last comment he made, but luckily he hadn't stuck around for the consequences. He looked down at the collar that had been left next to him. It was off, and now it hardly mattered. That man hadn't been intimidated; the chance that he would fulfill his bluff were too high to ignore. Tenele's body, and her emotions, would not heal as quickly as his did. He teleported across to the room, maybe just to prove to himself he could, and eyed the blood taht was left there. Healing burned a lot of energy, but he still didn't feel like drinking this crud. He held the package up and smelled it testingly, just as the door opened and a soft pair of footsteps entered.

Vlad turned toward the door with a sharp glare to find the young girl he'd seen in the hall the night before, standing there with a tray and a medicine kit. "I was sent to look after your wounds," she said, her voice fluttering nervously.

"I'm already taking care of them," Vlad said, indicating his bare neck casually. He wished people would leave his room in peace so he could stop acting for a minute.

"Oh," she replied softly, but didn't leave. Vlad watched her expectantly, his impatience buried behind a calm smirk. "Is it true you really attack your customers?"

"When I feel so moved," Vlad grinned darkly.

The girl's face changed slightly, her solemn manner become almost...excited. She looked at him in admiration. "My name'd Lydia," she said. "I work here also."

Vlad really wasn't interested, but something kept him looking at the girl. She looked...familiar.

"Actually, I was sold to the place down the street, but because my health is frail, after a while no one would pay to see me. So I was relocated over here to be an attendant." She cast him a wan smile. "Why are you here?" her eyes visibly scanned over his muscles.

"Business," Vlad said flatly.

"What's your name?"

"...Vladimir." He wondered why he told her.

"Vladimir," she said almost fondly, touching his collar and picking it up. "It must be painful, for someone like you to have to wear this," she said.

"It's not my color," Vlad said.

"I'm sorry...I have to put it back on you." She turned toward him.

Vlad tensed, but didn't move. "I know." The moments passed in silence as she reached up and slipped the band back around his neck, sealing the lock again.

"Maybe I'll see you again." she said hopefully. "Everyone's talking about you." She meant the slaves. Turning, she left the room again. Vlad closed his eyes and leaned back into the wall. His body felt perfectly recovered, but his memories were still vivid. Frowning, he went to the bed and lstretched out on his back.

Tenele nodded and followed Crackers. He had some dealings with slave trading so he probably knew who to go see if they needed information.

Crackers led Tenele a block down the road and into a rather seedy, but extravagant looking club. Inside, nude and nearly-nude women performed erotic dances in twos and threes on elevated stages located at various points around the room. Waitresses in short skirts wandered the room topless and brought the patrons whatever they ordered, ignoring the stray hands that brushed against them as they pushed through the crowd. Crackers dragged her to a table near the corner, and a waiter soon brought them a pair of menus.

Tenele tried to avert her eyes from everything in the room and stared at a table. "Couldn't we meet your contanct in a more... decent place?" she asked softly, fiddling with a papertowel.

She sighed, throwing it down on the table and glancing around the room.

"This is the only safe place to get a look at him. It's crowded, and...distracting. No one will notice us watching him. Gesturing tactfully to the left, he pointed out a group of men seated around a table that was somewhat separated from everyone else. The table had a private stage, and the men sitting around it looked quite well-off, and also shady. One man who was somewhat overweight wearing a blue hat and a suit seemed to be the leader of the bunch. "That's him," Crackers said, scorn building on his face.

Tenele bushed a strand of silver hair out of the way. So thats him. Not exactly what she had expected, then again she hadn't been expecting anything really.

She watched him with her green eyes for a moment before she looked back at Crackers. "Okay, we need to go," she said, not wanting to be around much longer so he wouldn't notice she was there. Encase that might mess with some of her plans.

She headed for the door and outside. She and Crackers went back to the inn.

"Well, now that I've seen him I just need to find out where he lives..." she said softly, sitting down on her bed. "I'll go see Vlad tomorrow morning and tell him what I've found out... I hope he's doing okay."

Vlad was soon called out to serve another customer. This time, he forced himself not to injure the woman or fight back beyond those instincts he could not possibly suppress. His cooperation had little effect on the amount of violence she chose to use, but at least this one had no drugs.

As the night wore on, he learned that his kind was assigned only a specific type of customer. He had welts and scars from each of them as he went to them, wearing a proud glare over his shock and disgust as he gave them what they wanted as emotionlessly as possible. It was a long, miserable night before he was finally directed back to his room, anger clouding his mind. Each time the fury built to a peak, he cooled it off with the thought of what could happen to Tenele, like a bucket of ice over the head. He walked to his bed, refusing to limp on his one ankle that had grown swollen - he couldn't recall why at the moment - and lay down in exhaustion. He thumbed the collar on his neck grimly and stared at the ceiling, looking like he was in a trance. Images burned into his memory were playing relentlessly, and in the end he had no luck getting to sleep. Only when the light began to glow again outside the room's window did he begin slightly dozing off.

Tenele walked towards Crackers. "I'm leaving," she said softly. "I want you to come with me... try and distract this Sekushi character for me... I need longer than ten minutes..." she said to Crackers.

He gave a nodded and followed her towards the brothel. She opened the door and repeated everything she had done the day before, but Mr. Sekushi wasn't around like he had been that day.
