Talon's ears picked up the conversation quite well, as did most of everyone else in the inn. His silver eyes glanced in the direction of the table...

'If there today then we haven't got much time... Shinobu and Kyosuke are meeting with the Shogun... we don't really need to wait for them if we're splitting up,' Talon thought as he casually made his way over to the group, grabbing a chair along the way and taking a seat at there table.

Tenele watched him, narrowing her eyes for a moment and wondering what he was doing. Then it hit her.

'He isn't?' she thought.

"Hello gentlemen," Talon said, giving a charming look.

'Oh, dear...' Tenele thought. 'He is...'

"I couldn't help over hearing your conversation... and I'd like to make a deal with you," he said.

Kaze watched him with mild interest at where Talon was going. Of course she and Kami had heard them, but what did their plans have to do with their problem?

Wait...

"Oh Gods." Kaze groaned, placing her palm on her forehead.

"Eh?" Kami said.

"We're going to get involved with ruffians..." Kaze muttered, dissapprovingly. Kami smirked and didn't see what the problem was.

Nism turned a distrustful glare on Talon as he joined them. "What makes you think we'd feel like meddling with the likes of-"

"Shut it, Nis. This better be good, elf," Anti said casually, leaning forward on the table and eyeing Talon expectantly.

Talon smirked and glanced back at Tenele. He turned back forward to address the thugs. "It is my understanding, from what I heard, that the town you speak of is under the impression that a dragon still lives in the cave. Correct? Yes, I thought so..." Talon didn't wait for them to answer. "So it seems you'll need a maiden to take with you, to through off any suspicions that simple minded townspeople might have, right?"

Talon pointed behind him at Tenele who was coming up behind Talon, not to address the men but to kill him. Talon didn't even look at Tenele, he just grabbed the hand that was coming to hit him upside the head.

"And she's just the maiden for you to take with you," he continued.

The five eyed Talon and the woman he was offering them.

"She's a pretty one," Mentaria said with a smirk.

"It's true that bringing a woman with us would be an effective way to throw off suspicion," Anti said skeptically.

"Then we wouldn't have to deal with competition; we can cart off the dragon's hoard at our own pace," added Anti, giving the matter thought.

"But, what's in it for you?" Tablish asked knowingly, narrowing his eyes.

Talon glanced back at Tenele and tried to think of something to say. He smirked and looked back at the group with a clever smile. "As you might have heard a moment ago there was a fight between us. I'd like her out of the way for a little while to... dispose of her lover. I'll pay you for taking her... and it will be enough to ensure no harm comes to her..." His voice had a hint of warning in it. Tenele had stepped back a few feeet, seething in her anger until she had a moment alone to kill her brother. So she barely heard what he said.

"I'll need you to act like she's being kidnapped or something... So it will distract him from watching me. The whole time he'll be worried about getting her back, when she should be worried about me." Talon was acting so well that someone he knew might actually believe he planned to kill Vlad.

Kyosuke bowed to the shogun as well, noting that the man was probably worthy of his respect. However, he also saw the hand that was going for Shinobu's rear end and before it could reach her, he straightened back up and grabbed the arm by the wrist. "You shouldn't do such a disrespectful thing to Shinobu-dono," he hissed with narrowed eyes. Then with a resounding and sickening cracking sound, he broke the arm and sent the now crying man away.

Kitanai saw all of this take place and was somewhat unsure whether to praise the, what he now realized was, man for his action, or pointing out the barbaricness of it. He chose to stay silent on the issue for now, and turned to Shinobu. "So who is this man you travel with?" he asked. He made no judgements on this yet, assuming that the woman was still staying loyal to the memory of her husband.

Shinobu stood up quickly at Kyosuke's quick movements and turned around at the moment of the sickening crack. She winced, though she probably shouldn't feel sorry for the man. Even though she didn't see his actions, she guess Kyosuke broke his hand for a good reason.

Shinobu turned back to the Shogun at his question. "This is Kyosuke, he is my bodyguard," she said respectfully, gesturing to Kyosuke with her hand.

"He has been very efficent and loyal to me," she complemented. "As you can see."

An intrigued smile grew across Anti's face as Talon spoke, swallowing every word of the argument. He exchanged a glance to Tablish, checking that their brainiac saw nothing wrong with the deal. "You have a sweet face, but inside it seems you're in tune with the way we think. I like you, elf! Then we'll do as you suggest," he chuckled to Talon. "But don't think for a second this means we intend to let her in on the gold, nor you for that matter."

Talon grinned. "When I'm done with her lover gold will be the last thing on her mind..." he said and held out his hand. "You can take her when you ready. Deal?"

Kyosuke had been somewhat nervous about meeting the Shogun. Even though Shinobu had not known about his past before he told her, Kitanai probably would. He had no idea what his reaction might be to it.

"Kyosuke..." the Shogun muttered, the name sounded very familiar to him. He thought back on his reports. After a few moments of thought, his eyes widened when he remembered a very feminine looking male samurai who had betrayed his master. "Would he happened to be Yamato Kyosuke?" he asked, a steely edge in his voice.

Shinobu narrowed her eyes at the sound her Shogun's voice. She didn't know whether answering would be a good idea or not, but she could not lie to him. "Y-yes..." she said and paused. "Is there something wrong?"

Shinobu glanced at Kyosuke with a confused expression.

Vladimir was standing against a stone wall near the inn, appearing to be deep in thought. The sound of voices inside the inn brought his head up to face the building, and a slight grin crossed his face. He pushed off the wall and strolled casually back into the inn, where a group of men had risen from their table, and were approaching Tenele. Two of them, one with an eye patch and one who was short, snatched onto her arms as he entered and drew her up into a tight, unnecessarily rough grip.

OOC: PS Kyosuke looked really cool just now! BOOYAH!

Tenele growled. "Hey!" she said as they grabbed her. "Hey! Let go of me!" Tenele struggled, not because she was supposed to go along with this whole fake abduction, but because she didn't like the treatment. The grip was far to tight for her tastes.

Talon whirled around. "What are you doing?" he asked, a look of surprise on his face, though it was all acting.

Anti raised an eyebrow, then smirked as he realized the newcomer in the doorway was the lover he'd been talking about. His grin twisted darkly. "We're liberating you of this wench. I'm sure you don't mind; from what I've seen, you don't seem fond of each other, anyway. The dragon, on the other hand, should like her very well.

Dises and Nism were having some difficulty managing the fighting girl, but kept their grip. Mentaria brought his short sword out and the point found Tenele's back. "There now, missy, you'll come quietly," he grinned, prodding her forward with the blade.

Vlad watched the situation with a dark grin, looking amused and insane and furious at once, so that it was impossible to judge his reaction.
