Kat nodded, agreeing. She preferred to not agrivate her Master in anyway. Kat sighed both content and rather confused still about her conversation about her old master. She still didn't understand her feelings or what she was going to do now that he was looking for her.

Dan watched Kat for another few moments. God, introspection was boring when you weren't the one doing it. She craned her neck to look up into the trees. "Hey Drakoe!" she shouted. "How's the view?"

"It's great!" he replied looking down on her. "Would you care to join me?"
"I know it's hard to stay away from me..." he remarked jokingly.

((Sorry I've been away; unexpected hospitalizations tend to do that to a body.))
Dan shrugged. "I know some of my people think humans have an exotic appeal," she said. "More as curiosities though, I think. My brother had a pet human love-slave once." She scaled the tree in a trice, sitting a few branches above Drakoe. "And I'm sorry, but I don't think you're suited for that kind of lifestyle. You're not really my type anyway. Terrible disappointment, I know."

Kat blinked as the two sat up on the tree and she listened to them. Once again, she had gotten lost in her thoughts. It was hard not to giggle at Dan's comment.

Drakoe smiled. Though they were still nagging at one anothers throats it seemed to be more playful and comfortable now. "You're the one who moved up here to where I was..." he replied eying her over.
"However you're really not my type either, so I guess we feel the same about one another in that perspective." he added gazing out across the forest top again.

Seeing that the two were preoccupied with each other, Kat wandered around the oasis without exiting it. She wondered what to do. Should she cook for them? She needed a bath, but there was no where discreet to do so.
"Er..." Maybe she could wait awhile. She was slowly adjusting to Zeikiel's presence around her while she bathed but, how would they react to such an act of indecency? Kat shrugged and picked up and apple, bitting into it. She sat down at the base of the tree Darkoe and Dan were in and stared at the water.

Drakoe watched as kat sat beneath them. She seemed rather down. "Why don't you come on up?" he asked kindly. Not recalling the fact that she was a mere slave girl.

Kat craned her head backwards to look up at them. Quiet, but not without her cute perks. "Really?" she asked, as if the very idea of someone like her being invited up a tree was perplexing.

"Oh, by all means!" Dan agreed. Kat seemed nice enough, and being friendly in return might mean she could get more information out of the slave girl. She had to qualify Drakoe's offer, though: "If you think your master wouldn't mind."

Drakoe surried down to a limb just above her and extended a hand. "Need some help getting started?" He smiled brightly.

Kat took his hand without thinking. She dropped her apple, not hungry anymore, and stood up.
"I've never climbed a tree before." she stated. "What do I do now?"

"Oh my," Dan said, feigning supreme dismay. "Oh my, oh my, oh my. Humans have certainly taken a fall." She dropped down a few branches. "It's like walking. Only vertical. And you use your hands. So wait, it's not really like walking at all." She frowned. It seemed such an instinctual activity, she was hard put to explain it. "Whatever. I'll leave you to Drakoe." She climbed back up to the highest branch that would support her weight and began moving through the trees, looking for signs of Zeikiel. She had to admit she was wondering what exactly he was up to...

Kat tried the suggestions Dan told her, but it wasn't exactly working. A few times, Kat had fallen off a branch because she couldn't find the balance to stay on it. She sat on her rear looking up at Drakoe with a sorrowfull look, feeling like a failure.
"I'm sorry, my lord. I cannot do it." she said, feeling as if she had let Drakoe down.

Drakoe laughed at her efforts. He dropped down out of the tree and sat down beside her. "You will never get anywhere if you give up that easily." he brushed a strand of hair from the side of her face. "Now what do you say we try this again?" He laid his hand open before her.
