As soon as the monk regained his composure, his expression changed from fear to spite and he turned toward Kaze, who was closest to him, not caring if he was interrupting their conversation. "What were you thinking, bringing that monster into this place! And you!" he pointed a finger at Kami. "Don't think we're not watching you too! You're lucky to be free to move as you please. Unacceptable!" he criticized, not offering any explanation for what had taken place inside Vlad's room. His scowl worsened as he noticed the small fairy by the window. "Who is that?" he demanded suspiciously. The monk's temper was clearly out of control.
Kaze, not tolerating the monk impudence, walked up to him swiftly, a hard, icy look in her eyes, and smacked him across the face.
"Do not blame those who had no choice in the matter." Kaze said smoothly. "The No Life King wouldn't be here even if he wanted too, but has it so happens, he is needed." Kaze glared down at the monk. "Also, Kami is no more evil than the rest of us! He was a poor man under a curse and all that holy magic you had been performing in that room countered it!" She stepped away from the monk who was both bewildered and speechless that this woman dare raize her voice to him.
"What is unacceptable here, is that you are kicking us out of your temple just because of one creature who's not very holy. We have wounded people here that now need rest to regain their strength! And you dare turn your backs coldly on us?" she turned back to the monk, her gaze cold from all the anger inside her. Of years of being hated just because she had more power, then wrongly accused, of the people she had seen in her travels that were selfish and didn't lend helping hands to those in need. She was tired of it, she wanted this evil in the world banished.
Kami watched her from the sidelines, keeping out of Kaze's range of fire. To Kami, Kaze had just become one of the most sexiest women he had ever seen.

Kyosuke had drifted off into sleep soon after Shinobu had. The samurai, despite being highly trained, was a very deep sleeper. His head fell forward in the chair, his long hair falling forward to frame his face. The comotion from the monk and Kaze didn't even stir him, though any malicious feelings would wake him up immediately.

Talon looked to Kaze, the wounded are fine he said, turning back to look out the window. It seemed Nickole was interested in how Ylia was doing, and he was too caught up in his own thoughts to do much of anything else.
He could hardly take the fighting anymore. He was about to go insane with it all. "Will you people please!" He said, turning around. "There are some in this room trying to rest, and they need there rest. If you're going to argue, take it outside."

The monk glared at Kaze, seeing no logic whatsoever behind her lecture or her violence. He cringed despite his indignance, however, as Talon reprimanded them for shouting. He suddenly calmed down and lowered his voice to the polite whisper normally used in the monastery.
"We took you in as our guests, and trusted you, and treated you, and then you cause violence inside of this sacred place. That monster you brought with you even threatened the life of our high priest. Do not think for a moment that you have a right to be indignant over our nonviolent request that you leave. We are strongly against the use of force and have made exceptions to our decision in order to help your wounded, and thanks to that have to go through the trouble of devoting a huge number of monks to maintaining a barrier around that vampire's room. We are good people; you are the one who should be ashamed," he said quietly to Kaze, and walked out of the clinic.

Ylia looked on with interest as she swung her feet off the side of her bed. Sitting up straight, she faced Talon as he spoke with the monk. When the monk left, the room was silent, and no one seemed to want to speak.
Nickole fluttered down to the bed and stood behind Ylia's back so she wouldn't be so obvious. She hadn't done anything wrong, and she wasn't taking up any space... The small blue fairy was glowing fiercely with aggrivation.
Mean old monk... she thought to angrily to herself.

Kaze glared. Vlad had not even threatened them, maybe played around but not threatened! Realizing though that she would get no help from anyone she stalked out of the room. Kami followed her, bewildered no one else looked to stand up for their group.
Kaze was exiting the entire building in a huff, her eyes tear brimmed but not falling. She willed and fought herself to not cry. Once she was completely out of the building she leaned against a tree. Kami jogged up to her because she walked really fast out of there.
"Kaze..." Kami started but then trailed off.
"They are wrong." Kaze sniffed, still not crying. "Yes they took us in, but they started the actions against us. Vlad was doing nothing he hasn't done before, but he didn't attack them. They provoked him, they had to of. I mean really! What was that in the room we had run into and you changed back!!"
"These monks are full of themselves." Kami sneered back at the monastary, "I don't recall ever even having a religion." Kami looked at Kaze, she was really fighting to not cry, he put a gentle hand on her shoulder to cmfort her and to his surprise she leaned into him immediantly. He stayed silent for some time until he broke it saying, "We could leave you know."
"What?"
"We could leave. I can change back into a horse so you can pack your things unto me and we can just walk away from this now." He was serious.
"I--I can't do that! I made a promise to the Queen I'd do this mission for her."
"You can still fullfill it.."
"No, Kami... This is a group mission. It can't just be two people..." There was a pause. "But thank you... you cared..." Kaze felt like a large weight had been lifted from her, and Kami smiled. Kami hugged her, resting his head on her shoulder.
"Well if you ever wanna run away with me, I'll be ready." he joked and Kaze started laughing. She had the most musical laugh he had ever heard.

The following morning, the doctor who had seen them the day before came to the clinic to give a last inspection of those who were wounded. He seemed somewhat more sober than the day before, but not arrogant or angry like the other monk had been. He checked on them and then went to Talon, who appeared to be awake, and proclaimed them fit to travel on horseback, but recommended several rests throughout the day to avoid overdoing it. "Though a few more days' rest would really have been optimal," he muttered to himself. He then began walking around the clinic, busily filling a rawhide sack with supplies for cleaning wounds and clean bandages, as well as more sugared water.
"I wish you all the best," he told Talon, handing him the bag. "Whenever you're ready, a group of prayermen are outside, ready to escort your vampire friend out." Without waiting for a reply, the doctor turned somewhat regretfully out of the door and left.

Kaze and Kami slept in the same room that night, much to Kami's delight. But Kaze made him sleep on the floor. She only wanted him close enough for comfort, suddenly she didn't want him too far away from her. It was only when she fluttered her eyes open did she become aware of warm arms encircling her. She turned her head to notice Kami and she squealed pushing him out of the bed. Kami fell to the floor with a loud thud.
"Hey!" he yelled.
"You slept in the same bed with me! I told you the floor!" Kaze countered.
"You were shivering last night... and I heard you crying." Kami said softly.
"Wh-what?! I didn't--" She remembered being cold... but she didn't remember crying.
"It wasn't until after I wrapped you in my arms did you stop." Kaze blushed making Kami grin as he stood up and sat back down next to her. Only his grin changed into one that looked like he was about to start laughing, and he knew a big secret that she didn't.
"What?" she demanded sharply and Kami pointed to her face. "What's on my face?" She touched her fingers to her cheek and realized she actually felt her skin. Her scarf had fallen off in her sleep. "OH NO!" Her hands shot up quickly to cover her face but Kami grabbed her hands and brought them back down.
"I don't know what you're so afraid of. You have a beautifu face, why hide it?" he had know idea she was a wrongly accused criminal in hiding. He traced his finger along her high cheekbones, her skin was soft and smooth; she had a small, but perfect nose and below that were luscious, rose colored lips that practically told him to kiss them. Though he fought back to urge. Kaze lowered her eyes, blushing.
"I'm a wanted criminal..." She didn't get to fully explain once a knock was at their door.
"It's time to awaken mam." a monk told her, he didn't know that Kami was also in the room. Kaze quickly replaced her scarf, much to Kami's dismay and told him to keep his mouth shut. her and Kami rearragned themselves and walked out to go find the others.

The no life king sat stiffly at the edge of the bed in his large room, still livid with rage despite the number of hours he had been sitting there. The crafty smirk that usually resided on his face was gone, and only anger shone in his crimson eyes. After finding that a seal had been raised to prevent him from leaving his room, or even so much as touching the walls, he had violently attempted to escape, and then turned his aggressions on the snide guard that was placed in the room with him. The guard, of course, had been guarded by holy magic as well, and Vlad's efforts had only earned him a rough sprawl across the room as his attack was repelled. He wanted nothing more at the moment than to kill every one of the monks who were standing outside the building, combining their prayers to maintain the barrier around him, and then to have a nice chat with the high priest.
The energy he'd expended attempting to leave the sealed area made him hungry, and he was definitely in th emood to take a meal right now. He sat and listened for signs of something happening outside, intending to attack the first monk that came through the door when it opened.

Kyosuke woke up when the doctor was checking on him. He nodded his thanks as the man moved on to check on Shinobu. While he was doing that however, the samurai got bored and got up, making sure not to stretch his arms out. Remembering that his vampire companion was in the room connected to their own, he walked over to the door, and without knocking, opened it and entered.

Vlad's attention snapped like a wolf's to the door as he heard something working at the knob, and in a movement that was unnaturally fast he launched from his place on the bed and flew viciously toward the opening door. As he reached his destination in a split-second, however, he realized that it was not a monk, but the samurai man who was standing in the passageway.
The vampire was at the point where he almost didn't care who was there, as long as he could kill, but Kyosuke was exactly the wrong person for this. Eyes widening, Vlad disappeared and teleported himself two feet beyond Kyosuke's body, his momentum sending him crashing across the floor. His head snapped up to verify that he had managed to miss Kyosuke and he stared at the samurai in mystification, forgetting his anger for the moment.
"You can open the door," he said oddly. The vampire looked less energetic than usual, seeming drained and somewhat sober.

Kyosuke blinked as he had suddently felt a rush of malicious intent, which had instantly turned into surprise, which matched the timing of the vampire who had charged him, and who had then teleported out of the way, crashing to the ground. "Um... yeah, I can open this door, why?" he asked. "I just came here to check on you. How're ya doing?"
