Telanis blew through the forest, the swift creature barely noticing his surroundings, until he noticed more horses in his path up ahead. He flattened his ears and prepared to reroute, until he clearly heard the girl's voice from earlier. He stared at them in disbelief. "Watch out! Behind me!" he barely had time to warn the three of them as he flashed past them and twisted in a new direction, heading for a cliff he was fairly certain he could jump from, though the hunters certainly could not. As soon as he'd passed them, a thunder of hooves announced the hunters' approach.
Telanis ground to a halt as he found that a landslide had occurred and the cliff he remembered was no longer passable for the horses nor himself. He spun around and tried to think as the hunters approached.

"I have no bow! Only my staff!" Neko told Laya until she thought of something. She grabbed her staff and held it at her side. Coming up ahead of her she saw a rock, timing it right she could hit it in the air and catch it... just like at home.
The moment came and she hit the rock hard out to the ground. It flew up and in her lap and she grabbed it quickly before it fell out. 'Now we just need to get closer to the group, and i can play stick ball with 'em!' she thought and pressed her horse on faster. She passed Kratos and was now in the lead.

Laya gritted her teeth.. She knew exactly how she was going to get a bow...
Laya pulled away from Neko and the others and leaned forward, urging her horse faster, enough to catch up with the slowest archer. She road faster, her heart beating in time with the hooves slamming into the ground. The guy was surprised when he saw her beside him, coming around with her fist and slamming into his chin. The guy was so shocked that he didn’t even react to her taking his bow from his loose grip and the arrows from his back. She took them in her hands, then put them inside the saddle bag as she took the arrow and pulled the bow string. She took aim with a bow for the first time in a while. A very long while.
Laya didn’t want to hit anyone, though she knew she could. These people didn’t have the speed and agility that Kron had. She fired towards the head of a archer, making sure it grazed his face. A warning shot. If they fired at the unicorn again she would get far closer.

Her first target was in range of the rather large rock. He was at the head of the group two. Her staff ready, she aimed with her eyes then threw the rock off to the side and hit it hard with her staff. Her aim was always good, Kratos commended her for it, the rock hit the head rider in the back of the head hard and he fell off conconcious.
Kratos, following the two women's lead, took the hilt of his sword firmly in his hand and came up next to another rider. The hunter looked at Kratos' smirking face with shock and he felt a pain at the back of his head where Kratos' hilt hit. The rider fell off as well. Eventually the horses with fallen riders stopped their gallop after realizing they were riderless.

Laya pulled the reins hard, as she barely missed a tree. She lowered her head ducking under a limb that grazed over her back. She pulled the reins hard again, not meaning to be so rough, but she was about to run slam into a shimmery white figure. The horse reared and Laya lost her balance, falling off backwards.

Telanis stared in shock as the hunters racing toward him were taken out one by one and fell to the ground. The disoriented horses scattered and slowed down, and from behind them came the three from before. He stepped back, sending loose stones crumbling down the landslide as he was sure Laya's horse would collide with him, but it swerved just in time, throwing off its rider. He turned sideways so that the girl met with his side as she fell, then ricocheted off onto the ground in an upright position.
"Are you hurt?" the unicorn asked immediately after Laya landed, stunned by what was happening.

Laya caught her balance and turned around slowly, nodding to the unicorn that she was alright, even though she didn't feel to well. She looked at the bow in her hands, she had been clutching it so tight that her nails dug into her palm.
She let go, and it fell to the ground bouncing up once and then lying still. She stepped forward, towards Telanis's wounded flank. "Its alright... I'll get it out... Hold still." Laya wrapped her hand around the arrow and took a deep breath, wincing as if she were pulling it out of herself. She pulled it free in one clean quick move.

Telanis wanted to back away from Laya's well-intending hands, but he had nowhere to maneuver to. He arched his neck down and winced as she pulled out the arrow, his senses flooding with dizzy nausea. He rocked unsteadily sideways, then managed to hold himself upright.
"Th-hank you," he murmured in Laya's mind. More hoofbeats could be heard in the distance; no doubt, the other hunters had heard the ruckus and were on their way. Now that some men had fallen, these three were no longer safe either. "Follow me," he told the three, walking unsteadily back in the direction from which they'd come. As he passed the three fallen riders, he touched his long horn briefly to each of their heads and a warm glow surrounded them as their minor wounds were healed and they fell into a calm sleep. Unfortunately, his magic could not perform the same miracle on his own wounds. He shook his head lightly to make everything stop spinning. The sound of hoofbeats in the distance was growing closer.

Laya followed, dropping the bloody arrow on the ground. "Where are we going?" she asked him, watching in awe as he healed those that wished to slay him. She couldn't imagen letting someone out to kill her live. But, did that mea she was a bad person? Surely Kron hadn't diserved to live... Right?
Laya was unsure, but figured it would be best to question herself later.
"We should find you someplace to hide..."

The unicorn looked at Kratos and Neko as he reached their position. "You've put yourselves in a lot of danger. I..." He broke off his apology dizzily. "There's a hidden place closeby to here," he tried again, "We need to go qui-...quickly." He tried moving forward, but his hooves felt like lead. He stumbled to his knees and pushed himself shakily back up. Something was very wrong. "I'll give you directions to the place," he told the three humans calmly. "I'll go there soon."

"I'll be okay," Telanis said, forcing his legs forward. Instead of holding his weight, however, this time they simply folded under him. He strained his muscles, but nothing was moving. His own blood was paralyzing him.
"What's that over there?" a man's voice called out in the woods to their right. It sounded like the horse was going the wrong way, but it was only a matter of time before he found the landslide and was guided to their location.
Telanis looked regretfully up at Neko, Kratos and Laya. It would be selfish to let them help him, but if he didn't, he wouldn't survive... and there were things he'd sworn to see to before he died.
"If I change my form to one you're used to, can you support me?" he asked Laya warily. Why her, he wasn't sure. He felt that his judgment must have been clouded by his injury.

Laya looked at him warily, slightly confused by what he meant. "I guess..." she said softly, not knowing what form he could possibly change into. She looked to Neko and Kratos, showing them that she was unsure, but this was a unicorn... it could probably do anything.
"Go a head... We'll be able to support you," she said to him, looking back with her gray hollow eyes.

Telanis closed his eyes tiredly and bent his neck down, a bright light surrounding him that was blinding to human eyes. When their eyes had time to adjust and look at Telanis, they saw not a unicorn, but a young human man, kneeling on one knee with his elbow across the other. He was slim, with long silver hair falling down his back almost onto the ground. He would have been handsome if not for the pain in his features and the bleeding wounds on the left side of his waist and above his collarbone. The injuries looked much worse on his human form than they had on his true body. He looked at them uncertainly with dark brown eyes, a red star branded on his forehead where his horn had been.
Telanis touched the ground with his human hands and pushed himself up with some effort onto unfamiliar legs. He took an experimental step forward, but barely kept his balance; walking on these legs was going to be even more difficult than before. He looked back at Laya over his shoulder with an apologetically hopeful grin. "Sorry, it seems I really can't walk like this," he spoke out loud for the first time.

Laya was very surprised to see him change into a human. Her eyes widened and she took a fearful step back. She was shocked to find the way his human form looked.
Normally, well... before what had happened to her Laya would have turned pure crimson at seeing a naked man before her. But, it didn't look as if it even fazed her as she stepped passed him, retrieving a cloak from a fallen man. She turned towards him and handed it to him. Her face had taken on an expression that was emotionless... it was like she was hiding something or trying to keep from doing something.
"Here... I'll help you," she said handing him the cloak, but not glancing before his wouned waist.
