Heirot

Kyosuke held up a glass of sugar water to Shinobu's lips. "Drink," he said, but not really ordering. After all, it wouldn't be appropriate for the worker to order his boss around. He listened to the doctor's orders and tried to get her to drink as much as she would.

While he did this, the samurai started to reflect back on the battle. "Shinobu-dono," he started. "What happened during the battle with the demon wolves?"

Ylia looked over to the other part of the room where Shinobu laid. Kyosuke loomed over her with unsurpassed care. With a smile, Ylia thought of happy she was that the girl would be alright. Ylia was going to be fine, & so was Shinobu.

It was worth it... she decided.

Turning her attention to her caretaker, Ylia's smile faded away as she saw Talon. She decided to speak to him in Elven in case it was no one's business... Talon, are you alright? she asked with a furrowed brow. He looked...weighted down or something...

Shinobu looked up with weary eyes and blinked several times. Did he not remember what happened during the fight with the wolves? Maybe not... maybe the loss of blood blurred his memory.

"You went a little crazy on us for a moment... as if it weren't you, but it was you... I guess desperation does that to a person," she said softly, barely above a whisper. She really was tired and needed sleep, but she would gladly answer any questions that Kyosuke had.

Talon jerked as if coming awake and looked at her, then smiled. "Just thinking..." he said in a humming sort of way. "Why? Does something seem wrong?"

Talon looked at her and nodded. "Slow yes... she is royalty and if any harm came to her from our doing I'm afraid it might bring war..."

Shinobu smiled at Kyosuke. "You were hurt... and Ylia healed your wounds so you wouldn't die. I was so afraid you were going to die..." She took his hand that held the cup in both of hers. "But your better... and getting stronger."

Kyosuke nodded. "I see," he replied. The samurai sat down in a chair to reflect upon what happened. He remembered the wolves attacking and himself fighting back.

With the adrenaline starting to wear off, he twitched in pain as his back started throbbing. He put his hand to his back and felt the new stitches that the monk must have had to put in for him. The skin around it was tender from tearing during the fight with the wolves and having to get more stitches put in.

Nickole fluttered over the monastary wall, and headed to the room that had lights coming out of the low windows. Fluttering along, she decided against turning off her glow... she was no intruder. She landed on a window sill and looked at the people inside. There were four of them...

Farthest from the window, a woman lay on a bed, not looking too full of energy, and beside her was a man rubbing his back and looking very stiff.

Near the window where Nickole was, though, she found who she was needing to find. Talon stood by the bed of an Elven lady that was dressed in white and gold. Nickole couldn't help thinking the his silver and her gold made a handsome combination.

Not fearing being seen, and hoping against hope the Vlad was not around, Nickole stood up on the window sill - trying to catch either of the elves eyes... but mainly Talon's.



Ylia stopped midway of sitting up.
"Well, Talon, perhaps I should lie back down," she said with a confused look toward the window. Meeting his eyes, she explained, "I think I see a fairy outside of the window..."

Talon looked up at the window and smiled. "I'll be back. He walked towards the window, smiling at the fairy and shaking his head as he opened the door to let her in. "Its about time you showed up!" he said with amusment in his voice. "Wings tired?"

Shinobu closed her eyes and with in moments she had drifted off into a light sleep, forgetting breifly that Kyosuke was trying to give her sugared water.

Kami and Kaze sat in a comfortable silence for awhile. Kami couldn't remember the last time he was so close to another woman. Absently, he reached out and fingered a fallen tress of Kaze's hair that had managed to wriggle out of her braid. Kaze blinked out of her thoughts and watched him do so. He seemed enthralled by her hair. She almost told him to stop but something in the back of her mind told her to let him.

'how long has it been since he's had human contact?' Kaze wondered.

A loud banging sound abruptly came from the opposite side of the wall of the room Nickole, Talon, and Ylia were in. A moment later, the monk who had been placed with Vladimir threw open the door that led from Vlad's room to the rest of the clinic and rushed into the room, slamming the door behind him as if the forces of hell were after him. He leaned against it wide-eyed as if to hold it shut against a stampede, looking terror-stricken and shuddering. Several loud bangs, separated by several seconds, came from the other side of the door, and then it was silent again. The monk looked as though he might faint.

Ylia jerked her head smoothly toward the sounds, and was surprised to see a monk bursting into their room. The poor man looked as though he might actually die from fear.



Oh great, Nickole thought to herself. Now I'll be trapped outside and forgotten thanks to that guy. She decided that her only hope was to bang on the window... so, she did.

*TiNk, TiNk, TiNk* "Talon open the window!"
*TiNk, TiNk* "Open the window Talon!" Please?!
*TiNk* "Please open the window..."

OOC: Psst.... I already opened the window...

OOC: *hangs head in embarassment.* Sorry... *tip-toes character into room on OPEN window sill.*

Nickole fluttered quickly to the head of Ylia's bed so that she could be in the room to see the commotion.

Kaze and Kami's heads jerked up at the sound of the noise.

"What the--?" Kaze commented, bewildered.

"I betcha Vlad is scaring the monks." Kami smirked and stood up. "let's go check it out." he held his hand out to Kaze and she accepted it. Adjusting her scarf tighter they exited the room. "I bet you have such a pretty face... why hide it?" Kaze blinked, surprised and was about to answer him when they had finally made it too the room where everyone else was. "Hmm.." Kami hummed loudly to himself. He was still wearing the monk clothing and probably looked at of place to the people who have yet to notice him since he had a full head of hair. "I wonder what the vampire man is up to?" he wondered aloud. Kaze rolled her eyes and stepped forward to Talon.

"Talon, what is going on? Are the wounded alright?" she asked him kindly.
