Elena looked at Lann, wondering if she should mention anything about Forcroff to Airis or not. Just encase it was wrong of her to mention it she kept her mouth shut.

"So... what's for dinner?" she asked softly. She had the strange feeling that people were watching her and it made her uncomfortable.

"Lamb chops..." Airis answered as their plates were sat down in front of them. Unlike most of the nasty, dirty demons and humans that sat at the the tables on each side of them, the servents who brought out the food were rather clean.

Lann rubbed his head. He had been watching Airen for some time now and finally saw what he had been waiting for.

He glanced up at Elena. "Would you care to join me for dinner outside?" he asked. "There's something I would like to show you?"

Elena looked up at him curiously, wondering what he would possibly have to show her now. She glanced down at Airis and then around the table at the nasty looking demons and people.

"I guess..." she said softly, hoping not to affend anyone and make them angry.

Lann saw her concerning glance around the room. "Don't worry about them..." he said comfortingly, "They're not crazy enough to mess with you."

He nodded at Airis and escorted out onto the patio. It was rather lovely considering the place. It was dark of course but there was sculptures all around of strnge looking creatures and a fountain right in the center of all of it. They took a seat at a marble table where their plates and drinks had already been set out.

"Before we eat I would like to show you how trusting you're husband is." He pointed to the right at a mirror that wasn't there before. A picture of two figures encircled in flame stood holding one another. "You see..."

"Oh not this again," she muttered as she followed his hand towards the mirror that held an image. An illusion?

Airen was holding the woman... Lenna in his arms... In fire... But nothing out of the ordinary... Maybe they were just trying to keep warm? But, then they kissed.

For a moment she believed it. Her face drained of all color, her eyes widened... Then they narrowed distrustfully on Lann. "You're lying..." she spat, standing up quickly.

"Am I?" he asked. The mirror burst into flames and vanished. "Believe what you like, like I said before. I have no reason to lie to you."

He took in a deep breath through his nose, "That smells delicious, doesn't it?" he asked with a smile. He didn't care if she believed him about Airen or not but she would in time.

Elena put a hand to her stomach, her face turning sickly. For some reason something just felt wrong about it. But wrong in the sense it was true... She closed her eyes. "I don't feel so good..." Maybe it was morning sickness... No... it was plain sickness.

"Are you not going to eat?" Lann asked. "If not you can go and try and find your room or you could wait on me to finish eating and I will escort you there."

He picked up his fork and took a bite of his lamb. It melted in his mouth, exploding with flavor. "Mmm... That's good. You really should eat... Your feeding two now, remember." He gestured to her hand on her belly.

Airen... How could he... How could he! He betrayed her... and forgot about her... and is with another woman.

She closed her eyes, turning her head away. She was so hungry, but couldn't bring herself to eat. "I..." she breathed and opened her eyes. She felt weak suddenly.

How could he....

She took a shaky breath. She felt sick, terribly sick... A tear fell from the corner of her eye as her knees buckled and she fell to the stone floor with a thud.

Lann took another bite of his lamb and looked down at Elena. The meat was really good.

He finished his meal and carried her to her room. She was very lovely. A small pudge in her stomach was begining to show.

He took a damp cloth and laid it across her forehead. He pulled up a chair beside her and waited to see if she would wake.

Elena eyes fluttered and open slowly. She sat up slowly, feeling her arm where a scrape was from where she had fallen. She hissed softly, trying to remember what had happened.

Out of the corner of her eye she spotted Lann sitting next to her and it all came flooding back. She looked down at her covers, suddenly not in a talking mood.

"Hey," she said finally.

Lann lifted his eyes to her. "Hey," he said softly, "I tried to clean it up a little." He gestured to the scrape on her arm.

He wasn't really sure what to say to her. "How are you feeling?" he finally asked.

Elena looked down. "Okay," she lied. In fact she felt horrible. She felt... empty... hurt...

"I..." she said but stopped bacause her voice wouldn't let her speak. She had a knot growing in her throat until she couldn't breath. "I... can't..." She wiped her cheek quickly as a tear slid down her cheek. "I... Why... How could he..."

She broke into tears.

Lann sat down on the bed beside her and pulled her close. He wasn't sure what she would do but for some strange reason he wanted to try and comfort her.

He rubbed her back softly. "Don't worry about him..." he said still lost for words.

Despite the fact she was mad at Lann for showing her she wrapped her arms around his neck and sobbed against his shoulder. She felt so heart broken... so betrayed... so hurt.

"He betrayed me..." she sobbed. "And... has forgotten about me... left... me all alone... with... his baby..."
