(Lore) Hide and Seek

Elena yawned and stretched her arms out above her head. She could feel the cool air blow in through the flap of the tent and could see the golden glow around them that signaled that the sun had risen. She pulled the blanket back over her shoulders and rolled over closer to Airen.

Three weeks had passed. They had made it safely over the Border with out any trouble and Sinead hadn't come or sent anyone to throw them out.

Elena sighed and sat up stretching again and yawning. She crawled out of the tent and stood outside, looking around at the sunlight shinning down inbetween the trees.

Airen felt her get up and step outside the tent. He got up himself and pulled on his pants. He couldn't believe they had made it three weeks without any trouble. Of coarse they had run into a few bandits and such, but nothing of any real danger.

He stepped outside the tent and saw his beautiful love sitting next to the coals of last nights fire. He walked over to her and kissed her.

"Good mornig, beautiful" he said softly." Did you sleep well?"

She smiled, her violet eyes looking up at him. "As good as you can on roots," she said softly. "You know I always sleep well when its next to you."

She yawned again covering her mouth withthe back of her hand. "Of course all I really want to do is curl up and go back to sleep... I'm getting lazy."

"I was sick again this morning," Elena said. "I got up early. I tried not to wake you... I didn't did I?"

"Nah," he said," I was already awake. I just didn't feel like moving."

He stretched his arms out above his head and glanced around the campsite. It was a beautiful morning. Everything seemed to be soaking in the sun. It placed a comfortable warmth on the everything it touched. Airen smiled as a soft breeze blew over him.

"I'm gonna take a little walk, okay? I won't be gone long" Airen said as he turned and walked away.

Elena nodded and smiled as she through some dried grass onto the red coals from the night before. The smoldered as he wandered off and finally caught fire.

It was quiet with him gone. She just waited there for him to return at any moment, unable to sense that she was being watched.

The bushes rustled next to her and Elena gasped, moving away quickly to the other side of the clearing.

"W-who's there?" she asked.

Then it appeared, small and fluffy... The white bunny looked up at Elena with its beedy red eyes before it scurried away rather quiickly.

She smiled and then laughed at how frighten she had been of a small bunny rabbit.

Airen walkd along through the trees trying to clear his mind and try to think. He had been thinking of his deal with Shea. There had to be a way he could stop her. The more he thought about it the more questions he had.
Like:'Why would she want his child?' and 'was there something about his unborn child he didn't know about?'

After walking a little while Airen decided he would sit down, so he found a nice cypress and leaned against it. He picked up a stick and began breaking it into little pieces and throwing them at a nearby frog.

He laid his head back and closed his eyes. 'Will Sinead let us back into Ighten?' he thought. 'Will we make it much farther without interference?'

When Airen opened his eyes again the sun had already risen to mid-day. He jumped up and looked around. At first he didn't know where was but quickly recalled everything.'Elena' he thought, and he rushed back to the campsite.

Elena was curled up in the tent under the covers again. She had felt a bit sick so she decided to rest her head. She had never intende on falling a sleep but it seemed her body had other plans for her.

She was lying on her back with her curly locks spread out around her beautiful peaceful face. One hand was lying on her stomach and the other was next to her head, which was turned to its side. It looked almost as if she had passed out and fell into that position.

When Airen reached the camp, he didn't see Elena. He looked around frantically, but she was no where in sight. He rushed over to the tent and stuck his head in. There she was lying there, sleeping like a baby. He exhaled in relief. He smiled after a moment though, thankful she was alright.

He didn't wake her though. He walked over to the hot embers and got some bread out of a pouch that was lying there beside it. "This stuff really gets old" he said to himself."Oh well."

He took a seat on a nearby log and waited on Elena took wake up.

Elena blinked several times. She thought she had heard someone walking around and a voice. But, now that she was awake she didn't hear anything. She sighed, wondering what was with her and why she was feeling so sick lately.

She crawled to the flap of the tent and opened it smiling when she saw Airen on the outside.

"Want to be lazy with him and sleep all day?" she asked him quietly.

Airen smiled at her as she asked the question."Sleep all day, huh." he said," Sounds like a plan to me."

He walked back to the tent and crawled inside. Elena had already laid back down and gotten comfortable. " Is this spot taken?" Airen asked softly as he laid down beside her and wrapped her in his arms.

Elena thought to play a joke on him when he asked if the spot was taken. She waited until he had his arms around her before she mentioned it. "Yes, its taken," she said, grinning playfully.

Airen pulled his arms from around her and laughed." Oh really. I guess I better slide over then." He slid over away from her and turned the opposite direction.

Elena smiled and rolled over to where he was, rolling completely over him and landing on the other side of him with a smile, her violet eyes sparkling at him.

Elena kissed his nose with a smile, getting closer to him, crossing her arms over her chest and snuggling close to his warm form.

Airen laughed at her childish play. He truly did love her more than any words could say. He put his arms back around her and held her close.

" This spots not taken." he said kindly as he pulled her closerand kissed her on the head. He held her as tight as he could without hurting her and whispered," I really do love you."

Elena smiled and bit his lip lightly. "I love you too," she told him, kissing his neck too and resting her head under his chin.

"See, being lazy is fun," she mumbled.
