Jhaptal smiled at the rogue. "I think I'll take you up on that offer," he said as he sat down on the couch. He flexed his hands a few times noting that with the wounds down, the infections were dying down as well.

Rai giggled and stepped forward quickly, slipping on the mud and falling into the water, going completely under. She came up gasping for air wide eyed and startled. Then, she smiled and stood up again, soaked from head to toe. "Soran! Come on!" she said, an evil thought creeping into her mind to get the rouge as wet as possible in a short period of time. "Please!"

Soran watched Rai playing in the water with his arms crossed, wondering what the big deal was about swimming. He glanced at Mizuki and sat on the railing of the house's wraparound porchl to unlace his boots. "It's just water," he commented indifferently to Jhaptal as he watched Mizuki and Rai in the distance.

Rai giggled and almost got out of the water to drag Soran in. "Come on! I want to go out into the deep part!" she said, laughing and stepping a bit further until it was up to her shoulders.... Then further until it was up to her chin. Then until she had to bounce up and down on her tiptoes to keep her head about water. Though, it would come to Soran's hip.

She then went under suddenly, slipping on mud again.

Soran ignored Rai's pleading, taking his time getting his boots off and keeping an eye on her. He pulled his shirt over his head, feeling the binding stretch slightly on his shoulder. When the cloth was over his head and stopped blocking his vision, he no longer saw Rai. The elf blinked warily at the surface of the water, standing up.

Rai was trying to get her footing again, but it seemed to be slipping out from under her feet. She didn't panic at first, because she figured she could get her feet there eventually, but when she started to feel a burning and had the great urge to gasp... thats when she started to panic. She floated up to the top her arms flailing around her, her hair all in her face to where she couldn't see.

Soran dropped his shirt on the ground, a flash of fear showing in his eyes before he ran to the riverbank. Mizuki seemed distracted, and he wasn't sure if she saw what was happening or not, not spending much time trying to figure it out. The elf ran into the water to where Rai was floating into the current and lifted her out of the water. Propping her up against his chest facing him with one arm, he examined her protectively. "Hey," he said to calm her, parting the hair that was hanging over her face with his thumb and forefinger and peering in at her skeptically. "If you swim like that, people will think you're a sea monster," he warned her.

Rai coughed and giggled. "But, it got you in the water," she said, coughing again. She grinned, holding on to his shoulders. "I love you Soran," Rai said and hugged his neck.

"Okay!" She pushed away. "Let's swim!"

Mizuki panicked as she tried to run in and save Rai when she went under but Blade had pulled her hair in all the excitment. And he cried when she got near the water. Her panic faded though when she saw Soran dive in and resurface with Rai. She ran over to them, losing the grip on her towel and it just fell away and ignored Blade's tugging.

"Are you alright!?" she gasped.

Rai giggled and coughed again, she had swallowed some of the water in the river. "I'm okay!" she said. "It was really slippery!" she told Mizuki, her bright blueish gray eyes sparkling behind a few wet strands of hair that still hung in her face. "Come on! Lets swim!"

Mizuki sighed in relief and smiled. Blade tugged again at her hair and cried softly.

"What's wrong sweety?" she asked him and Blade shook his head. 'Was he afraid of the water?' Mizuki thought and tried to coax him to relax. "I have you darling, I wont let harm come to you." she said softly to her son, smiling reassuringly and put her feet in the water. She felt Blade tense in her arms and hugged him tighter. She descended more into the water until she was knee deep.

"You see? You're fine." Blade relaxed enough to look at the water with interest.

Rai giggled holding on to Soran and kicking her legs out behind to splash water around. She hugged Soran's neck with one arm and splashed water in his face giggling.

Soran closed his eyes as water sprayed up into his face and arched an eyebrow at Rai. He humphed and drew his hand back, firing a barrage of water that was significantly larger than Rai's and drenched her like a bucket had been poured over her head. Grinning at the result in satisfaction, he looked back over his shoulder at Mizuki, watching her step elegantly into the shallows with Blade.

Mizuki sat down in the water. It sloshed up and touched Blade's toes and he flinched. Mizuki giggled and calmed her son down. She shifted the boy to her lap so he was sitting in the water as well.

"See?" she said, "it wont hurt you..." she smiled as Blade timidly dipped his hand in then brought it back out. Mizuki wondered if his little fear had something to do with his wings. She made a note to start asking Siren all about Dark Angel's.

Rai closed her eyes giggling and getting the river water all in her mouth as Soran splashed her with the water. Her hair was wet and once again slipped in front of her eyes, making a sheild in front of her cute face. She slapped her hands against the surface of the water, though she couldn't see she was still trying to get Soran wet with her splashing.
