Lore: (mature) Running Out of Time(Just outside of Hepian)

This is the forest that covers most of Ighten in dense and thick trees. It is the oldest forest in Heirot, since most of the Forests in Arken have been destroyed. It is well known as a haunted forest where ghosts and demons reside. In the forest are many villages. The villagers will tell you tales of trees that eat people, gaint spiders, and dragon lairs.

Mia had to stop herself from hitting him again, shaking off the thought of him being Keifer. She dropped the stick. "That would be nice," she told him, brushing her fingers through her long white hair and getting her hair out of her eyes. It was then that she noticed a small group of people watching them.

She blushed slightly and stood a bit behind Bejei. "What now?" she asked, wondering what he wanted to do since they were done sparing.

"It's up to you. This is your day. Anything you want..." Bejei answered. "I'm just here for the ride."

He walked beside Mia before he placed a friendly arm around her shoulder. He nudged her with his left hand and smiled at her. "Ready?"

Mia looked at him for a moment, confused by the fact he was putting an arm around her shoulder. She didn't understand him. At the beginning of there relationship he was like 'I don't care anything about you,' and now he was being kind to her.

She didn't get it, but she figured she would find out later on if she asked him and if he chose to answer. It seemed he was avoiding it, but she couldn't understand why...

Bejei could sense something was wrong from her wary gaze. He knew she had an inquiry about his sudden alteration in personality. What was he going to tell her if she asked him? He honestly did not know what to say. Maybe, it was better to keep her mind of things.

"So Mia... why did you choose the life of the carnival?" He stated abruptly. "Surely, you can do other things besides that."

Mia looked over her surroundings in thought for a moment, trying to think of the best way to describe why she left. "I needed a way out. I couldn't handle the weight of marrying Keifer at 16 so when the carnival came to my village I saw it as the only way to get out. I joined, and when it left I left with it. My father wouldn't stop me, no matter what my mother said. We traveled so much that they never visited or anything, and not to mention that if they had tried to take me away a good number of carnival demons and not to mention sword dancers would be there to stop them. The saying is, 'You hurt one, you hurt all, you come for one, you come for all,' ect." she said, smiling slightly.

"So thats where I have been these years. Its been the happiest years of my life too... I love the carnival, though I may not always like the stunts I must do, I love the freedom of travel and the rush of preforming. Not to mention it gives me the chance to learn many different skills from other people..." She paused, thinking she might be talking a bit to much.

"If I would have stayed in my village I wouldn't be doing other things. I would be married. Probably have kids by now, and be a very unhappy person. Women are fighters in my village, but their other perpose is to breed more fighters so our species will live on."

Bejei attentively listened to Mia's answered. He still kept his arm around her like they were a couple, but he only saw it as a friendly gesture, although the people around might think otherwise. One thing that caught him as perturbed is the fact that her life sounded so much wonderful, and he always wished his life could be that simple.

He waited until she finished before he spoke. "Well I don't see anything wrong with the idea of settling down to have a family." He should be telling himself the same thing since he was fearful of settling down. "I mean... you'll eventually do it someday so what's wrong with doing it earlier?"

Mia turned her head towards him. "Its not that I don't want to get married, its that I don't want to marry someone I don't love, much less like," she said.

"Keifer and I have never gotten along. Even when we were children I hated him. He was a bastard from the start and its only gotten worst as he's gotten older. My mother told me to ignore it, that he couldn't help the fact his father was Ishtass..."

Bejei thought about what Mia said, but he coudn't help but wonder why Keifer wanted to kill her when he wanted to marry her. Maybe, it's more complicated than that. He decided not to explore any further.

"People get marry for lots of reason, either it be love, money, reputation, and more. Some times people get marry to please others while putting their own happiness off." He replied. "However, I agreed that marriage should be base on love and not force upon someone."

He pulled her a little closer to him while he tried to find something else to chat about. "Are you a dancer or something? For the carnival I mean. You want to show me some of your dance moves?"

Mia laughed slightly and didn't even noticed being pulled a little closer. "Dance for you?" she asked, arching an elegant white eyebrow, looking his face over slightly. "Its something I don't usually do with out music. If you can find music I'll dance," she told him, a slight smile on her face, not thinking he would be able to find music any time soon.

"Is that it? Any music would be fine right?" Bejei replied anxiously.

He had only seen a woman dance once in his life, and that was his mother. She used to always force his father to dance with her, and she really enjoyed it. But he wondered what dance Mia was talking about.

"You better get ready."

Mia blinked and looked at him. Did he plan to attack some poor musicianist to get him or her to play music just so he could witness her dance. She didn't know what he had planed.

She was, however, always ready to dance. She was trained well and had danced in many preformances. A gentle breeze tossed her white hair into her face, she brushed it back with a small hand.

Bejei gave her a slight frown as he recalled never hearing in music while in town. Maybe, he could find some music if he asked someone. That might be a good idea, but he preferred not to.

"Maybe some other time then, Mia." He replied after a bewilder face. "So... what do you want to do? I have no immediate plans."

Mia smiled. "I promise," she said, her mismatched eyes sparkling. "If you go with me to the carnival you will see me dance. There a lots of pretty women there," she joked. "I'm sure you'll find one of them that suits your fancy."

She paused. "Beware of Guin... she's a feirce whore who is only after a man for his money or his fame...." She told him.

"Are you hungry?"

Bejei stared at her for a moment as she spoke. He wondered why he was so intrigued by her, but he pushed those thoughts aside before he replied.

"I guess I can take some type off work to visit you at the carnival. However, I doubt there will be any woman to my liking except maybe you that is." He shrugged as he removed his arm from around her shoulder.

"About this woman whore... I highly doubt I'll be interested in her. I'm kind of hungry by the way."

Mia's gold colored skin turned a light shade of crimson. She didn't think with all the bruises that she looked anywhere close to being pretty at the moment.

"Hungry... hmm... I wonder where a decient place to eat is..." She stopped, looking around and found a small dinner looking place. Maybe it was cheaper to go back to the inn and eat there?
