Holier Than Thou

The city closest to the border. It is a city filled with traveling people and inns that hold many of the roughest people in Ighten. It's a good place to find weapons and an even better place to find trouble.

Tenele shook her head at him. "That's not nice at all," Tenele muttered as she watched the woman cross the room, push through the sheer curtains, and climb onto the bed. Clearly, she had no issue with performing before a crowd. She already set herself to the task of removing the King's clothing. She unbuttoned his shirt, pushed it open, and then moved to his pants. She tugged them off his legs.

"We are not going to sit and watch this," Tenele muttered, putting a hand over her eyes. "Its invasion of privacy or something." She peeked through her fingers.

The concubine looked perplexed at the King, taking his face in her hands. "Your majesty?"

"Watch what?" the vampire snickered quietly to his wife, fully enjoying himself.

"No speaking," he advised the concubine from the corner, barely containing himself. "It disrupts the tranquility of the form. Pay no mind to his calm state, and just proceed."

The concubine, being the very diligent loyal one that she was, decided to direct her mouth to a better task than speaking. She kissed her way across his body, down, down, down.

Tenele squirmed in her seat, turning her face away to the stars again. Her cheeks flushed crimson. Every so often she'd spare a glance, or try to do it without Vlad noticing.

She was a good concubine and eventually, despite the King's "trance", she'd managed to make him as responsive as if he were wide awake.

"Vlad...." Tenele muttered, kicking her leg out and jabbing him in the thigh.

The concubine mounted him, still wearing the beautiful revealing dress. She let out a low silky moan.

Tenele nearly fell out of her chair, turning pure crimson. Her eyes locked on the woman. She shifted in her chair again, crossing and uncrossing her legs.

The woman rode the King, not like some common well paid whore, but a true talented, well versed woman.

Vlad shifted slightly in his chair to avoid being kicked again. He had little interest in the concubine, but her apparent skill amused him, as did Tenele's rising heart rate. "I'll be damned," he chuckled to himself as she successfully mounted him. "He doesn't call them power naps for nothing."

Tenele scowled at Vlad, folding her arms. She lifted her glass of wine to her lips and downed it in one gulp. "I can't believe we're watching this."

Atul's hips began to buck in response. He let out a low groan, his eyes fluttering open. Shock was his first reaction, but just as it washed over him so did ecstasy. He let out another moan, his hands instinctively going to the hips of the woman riding him. His eyes narrowed as she leaned low and planted a crushing kiss to his lips. He responded, as any man might if they found a gorgeous woman atop them... He decided questions were better asked later.

Atul was a bit too immersed in the concubine to notice his friends sitting on the otherside of the room. He reached up and tugged the dress from the woman, and then grabbed her hips, rolling with her until he was on top.

Tenele swallowed hard, really trying desperately not to watch, and yet she couldn't look away. "I'm a terrible person," she muttered, picking up a slice of melon and popping it into her mouth. Gods help her, she was turned on by this and the link to her husband let him know it. No use trying to hide it, she thought with disdain.

*Bastard,* she muttered to him through their link.

"OH!" the woman cried. "Your Majesty!!"

"Oh, good lord," Tenele groaned, torn between enjoying that and being slightly ashamed for hearing it.

Atul froze, back going rigid. He slowly, ever so slowly, peeked over his shoulder.

Vlad waved his glass of wine casually at their friend. "Carry on, carry on," he urged reassuringly, his ruby eyes sparkling with amusement. Behind the amusement, however, there was growing interest. His body had responded as surely as Tenele's.

*Are you thinking about him?* he mentally asked Tenele in a silky voice.

Tenele swallowed, glancing sideways at her husband. She didn't need to answer, he already knew her thoughts. *I am,* she told him in the privacy of their minds. Watching the way his body moved, how vigorous and needful it took the concubine. She shifted again in her seat, crossing and uncrossing her legs.

Atul contemplated the two of them sitting there, and then he glanced down to the perplexed woman below him. A wicked smile spread across the kings face. If it was a show they wanted, it was a show they would get. He drew out of her, and helped her move so she was on her hands and knees before him before he plunged back in, earning a grateful moan from his concubine. He continued in a rapid steady rhythm that sent Tenele's heart pounding with lust.

Tenele could tell by the expression on the woman's face that she thoroughly wanted it. This wasn't just something she was doing because it was her duty. She ENJOYED the king.

The Queen's Maiden shook her head, cheeks flushing.

Vlad swallowed as he recognized the position he'd been in with the King the day before. *I am thinking about him, too,* he murmured into their link. The visual brought back all the sensations that went with the memory, and the thought set his nerves on fire along with Tenele's. It seemed off that the two of them were both attracted to the same side of the equation. Then again, Atul was a powerfully sexual person; they'd already known that much about him. But for gods' sakes, he had been outcold moments ago! If Vlad had suspected him in the mood for something like this, they might not be sharing him with a concubine right now.

Atul finished with a low satisfied groan, burrowing deep within the woman. She cried out, fisting silk sheets in her hands and pressing her forehead into the mattress. The King pressed in behind her, whispering something into her ear that Tenele couldn't hear. The concubine smiled, nodding numbly against the sheets. He withdrew and placed a gentle kiss on her back between her shoulder blades.

The woman took her dress and drew it to her chest. He pressed his hand to her face, kissed her lips and tugged her in against him. He leaned in and whispered something else into her ear. She flushed, and backed away off the bed. Slowly she tugged the dress on and then left the room.

Tenele was beyond brimming with sexual frustration now. Feeling a little aggravated at her husband for letting that carry on as long as it did. She had only watched because, assuming Vlad's personality as she had, she expected some terrible prank to happen to the concubine. Like Atul being completely flaccid in his sleep or something. Instead, the prank had been on Atul, to wake up to some beautiful woman having her way with him.

Having just witnessed this made her want to climb in bed with the King and her husband. The King seemed to know it too. He sat with his back against the headboard, arms crossed behind his head and legs stretched out before him, with a smug smile on his face. "Tenele you're very flushed."

"I am not flushed!" Tenele barked.

Atul grinned, slipping out of bed and walking nude towards the bathroom. "I'll be right back."

Tenele fanned her face. "I'm not flushed."

A minute or so later the king returned, looking less slick and damp, but still very naked. He also seemed more energetic than he'd been, even after something as strenuous as sex. He crossed his arms. "That wasn't kind of you," he told his friends, scowling. "I'm tempted to get dressed to spite you."

Tenele shook her head. "You couldn't possible want m-"

Atul grinned. "Another problem after I use my powers. Once I do recharge, I'm overcharged. I go from extreme low, to extreme high, until my body finds the right balance."

Vlad narrowed his eyes on the king, curious how energetic he actually was after that display. He remembered Tenele's insane suggestion after their last little foray. The thought made his mouth water, and Tenele's flustered appearance and rapid pulse didn't help to calm him.

His eyes were predatory as he smiled at Atul. "We can think of some uses for that energy we so patiently waited for you to obtain." His expression was more of a promise than a request.

The Queen's Maiden felt her stomach roll over when she picked up on Vlad's thoughts. She worked hard to keep the reaction from her face. Tenele smirked at Atul. "You sure are cocky after one of those naps, must be all that power overload."

"Are you saying your not interested?" The king asked, stepping towards her.

"Maybe I'm not," Tenele replied, mostly because part of her feared making a fantasy a reality. There was no proof Vlad would actually go through with the idea either... Tenele managed to keep her eyes on Atul's face despite the fact his hips were eye level with her.

Instead she turned her attention to her husband. Just as she did Atul tapped his chin and leaned forward. He grabbed Tenele's light form and hoisted her over his shoulder.

"Atul!" Tenele protested. "Put me down!"

Atul did, slinging her down on his bed so that she landed with a hard thud on her back. Tenele sucked in breath with a cringe, the bruised muscle aching at the pressure.

Atul didn't pick up on her slight wince, and instead tugged the sash off her robe and tied it over her eyes. "What are you doing?" Came Tenele's wary reply as the world went dark. Atul's hot hands parted the soft fabric, his fingertips skipping over her rib cage and then down between her legs. "Stop!" Tenele cried, cheeks flushing. She didn't want him to know how much the scene had effected her.

"You really are adorable when you're emberassed," Atul murmured. He stepped back and stood near Vlad. "So, we could just pay her back for all the teasing she does by leaving her there," he told his friend in a barely audible voice that only the vampire could pick up on.

Vlad threw his hand out to Atul's throat and clenched, faster than anyone in the room could blink. "She is wounded. You will be careful with her," he growled under his breath. His reflexive anger at feeling Tenele hurt was already beginning to tame itself inside him, but his grip held the promise of real violence. He worked to calm down, reminding himself that Atul hadn't meant it. He would never try to hurt her. It was an accident. Accident. His grip slowly opened.

Atul's eyes widened in shock, staring at Vlad with a mixture of surprise and hurt. His playful hyper-activeness melted immediately at Vlad's cold response. He took a step away from Vlad, turning to look back at the vampire's wife. "Tenele?" The vampire had attacked him, like he actually thought Atul capable of hurting her. The distrust hurt. It cut deep.

Tenele was sitting up when Atul went to her, kneeling gently on the bed next to her. He tugged her robe closed modestly, and pulled the blindfold off her eyes. "You're wounded?"

"I'm not wounded," Tenele protested. "I'm stiff. Sore. That's all."

Atul frowned. He'd been so worried about Vlad dying, and then finding the attacker that he never bothered to inquire on whether she'd been hurt at all in the short time she spent in Verin's realm. "Where?"

Tenele's green eyes flickered to him, to the red ring flowering around his neck. She turned and lowered the robe to show him her back.

"I'm sorry," he whispered at the sight of the bruises. "I'm so sorry, Tenele. I didn't know. Forgive me." He bent forward and kissed her cheek gently. He tugged the robe up around her shoulders.

Vlad breathed slowly as he watched Atul reconcile with her. She wasn't angry - the anger in his blood was all his own. Apparently, the events of the past few days had him on edge. It was strange that he hadn't noticed it before now. He'd barely tolerated being left alone in the room when he first woke up. He'd thought of nothing but her while she was away from him seeking out Atul. Showering with her, his protective concern had been like a deep ache in his soul. He'd felt the need to protect her and make her whole as he made love to her, like it was some kind of spell he could cast.

With Atul, too, he had been more than just bored with the man's rest. It made him anxious, and lonely. And yet now he was angry, so easily.

Why was he being so irrational? So needy? He almost couldn't bear the thought of the mood he's just ruined, and it had nothing to do with sex.

Why was he so scared?

His throat worked soundlessly as he stared at them. Should he apologize? Maybe he should go. It didn't seem healthy to need them this much. He couldn't possibly explain it to them.

Atul touched her cheek gently. "Why don't you and Vlad go back to your room for the night?" he told her softly, glancing to the vampire. "I'm feeling a little tired again. I guess Mila wore me out more than I was aware of." He smirked, and stood up, drawing Tenele to her feet gently.

Tenele frowned at him. He reached around her waist and tied the robes sash back with a practised gentleness, making sure she was covered and decent. "I was only joking with you..."

"Its not you, silly woman. I really am tired," he chuckled, but she could see the hurt strain in his eyes. "Go on." He nodded his head to the side, towards Vlad, but didn't turn to look in the vampire's direction.

Tenele nodded slowly, stepping back towards Vlad. She took the vampire's hand sombrely.
