Lost

This is the Border that most of the people in Arken want to cross. People in Ighten are not allowed to cross it unless under orders by the Queen herself. The mountain is always covered in snow.

"Well... that makes sense now," he admitted sourly. "But, she's dangerous, you realize that. If you want to keep her alive you need to put her someplace she can't hurt herself or anyone else."

"I see it . . .I know what she is capable of doing. . ." Celeste replied softly "what she needs is help. . . but to get her help requires much more than just me"

"Then, take her where you can get her help. Else, the next person who dies might just be you," he told her.

"If I die so does she. It's what you could say a curse of twins" Celeste sighed "she needs to be blessed again, bought back to the light. And only . . . Matthias . . . had the power to do that." Celeste hugged her knees to her chest laying her chin on her knees.

"I'm sorry, truly," Stephan told her.

Stephan stiffly as the time passed. He wasn't sure of the amount of time that he lost sitting in the chair, only that the minutes drug along. His mind was haunted by thoughts he cared not to relive, of moments he had shared with a woman that he would never see again. It was too painful, and too hard for him to shut out.

He glanced to Celeste as she slept, watching her for moment before he stood and walked to the window. The snow was falling harder now, burying what had been uncovered that day. He reached up and drew down the veil that covered his face and the hood that hid away his red hair. He let out the breath he had been holding in a long even sigh.

Celeste dreamt seeing the same bloody flame colored dream. She shuddered stiffly.

***

Yoruhana stirred and opened her bleary eyes "Celeste?" she groaned.
