Note: This application might make your eyes bleed.
1) Name: Bejei (relinquished last name)
2) Gender: Male
3) Age: 27
4) Race: Human
5) Job/Class: Mercenary/Assassin
6) Appearance: Bejei is a well built human, standing roughly at six feet and one inch, with a muscular and well tone physique. He last scaled his weight to be around one hundred and seventy five to one hundred and eighty pounds, but with different eating habits and constant training, the weight often time fluctuates. His facial features are proportional in all areas. He bears no facial hair since he admires the thought of being mistaken by people to be younger than he really is. He appears to
be in his early twenties while his real age ranged in the late twenties. Instead of a square jaw, his face inhabits a jaw which angles down like a nicely curve non-pointy upside down triangle. The eyes are set balance to one another on top of a straight narrow nose with petite naris. His ears are of normal size and well balance out.
The coloring of his pupils is brown, a striking resemblance to his decease mother. His eyes are perceived by many as fierce and intense. When filled with anger, his pupils and eyelids recede.
He bears some of her characteristics along with his father's. Bejei hair color is black which he received from his father's genes. His hair is abnormal; it naturally spikes up without any remedy holding it together.
Bejei skin tone is tan since often meditated under the suns warm embrace. When he decided to exile himself from the world, exposure to the sun vanish which in time caused the skin to become a light tan.
At first glance, many peoples perception of him would be a man with malicious intentions and ruff on the edges. He is quite a eye opener for many women as well since he is so young looking and quite handsome. Wherever he went, he'd never allow his true emotions to surface.
Usual Clothing: Unlike the usual armor and clothing of others, his attire is somewhat unique and depicts a sense of individuality and at the same time, keeping his identity a mystery. Although he had endured numerous battle scars, none of them remain visible for long. A big factor in decreasing body injuries and bringing him home from intense missions in one piece was due to his ebon chest and back armor. The armor covers only the chest and back region while exposing the lower abdominal, and
lower back region. He later adjusted the armor by adding protections to the lower abdominal, thus forming the body armor.
His arms from the shoulders to the end of the elbows are bare. He has on black fingerless, padded gloves, the kind that protects the outside hands instead of the palms.
Bejei matching black trouser is nothing special. It extends from the waist to just below the calves. It's complimented by black, leather rugged boots which are two inches beneath the knees. It is supported by leather strapping.
Armor:
Body Armor: He wears a black metal armor to protect his chest and upper back region. The steel armor is hook on with black leather straps. The chest armor is significantly light, but it gives good protection. In addition, he soon composed leather armor for the exposed torso, realizing his enemies mostly struck that area.
Pants Armor: He wears black pants. The pant was custom made and sewn together by hand using some magical cloth he had someone create. He can easily manipulate his movements while wearing the hardening yet light fabric. It was made especially to endure attacks below the belt.
Gloves: He wears black fingerless gloves so gripping and maneuvering weapons would be easier.
Boots: He has on black boots which comes up to the calves but ends a few inches beneath the knees. There are four to five straps on each boot securing it together.
7) Weapons: Highly modified enhance katana: Bejei had a talented master blacksmith forge a weapon by using a powerful metal called Mithril. He purchased the metal during his travels. Within no time his favorite weapon had been completed. The new katana look identical to the original, but in comparison, it was sharper, lighter, more flexible, and far stronger than its counterpart. He also had his name carved on both sides of the blade as well.
8) Skills: Bejei is exceptional in martial arts and swordsmanship. He trained with a sword or mainly a katana, his whole life since the tender age of three. He learned and trained in martial arts at the same age. He is able to control and use a sword like it's an extension of him. Some enemies who fell in battle against his might considered him to be a demonic warrior in disguise. His experiences in martial arts usually allow him to parry, deflect, counterattack, or block his opponents’ assaults. He does occasionally slip up and get thrash, but he never makes the same mistakes twice.
He is no stranger to stealth and secrecy. He believed himself to be a deadly shadow that knows no bounds. A faint and lingering entity that strikes fear into everyone's hearts, not knowing his whereabouts and when and where he would show up next. He could move around as silent as the wind but strike as ferocious as a tiger upon its prey. He has been known to sneak around undetected for a long period before someone realized another was there, and by that time he’s long gone.
He has magic flowing through every particle in his body, but he has little idea on how to unleash or hardness its powers. However, he did somehow manage to develop a unique magical skill during his travels around different parts of the world. He can conjure a spell called Afterimage which allows him to move at incredible speeds for a short amount of time, thus exhibiting a physical and realistic stand still image after his move for his opponents’ to see. During the Afterimage mode, if attacked, the image vanishes or it vanishes after a certain amount of time. It’s more of a defense mechanism, but he does occasionally use the Afterimage for aggressive and tactical purposes. He also discovered a magical spell he referred to as Magic Expel.
9) Abilities: By meditating and toning his mind in every possible way, he developed a strange ability, the ability to sense life forces around him. The life forces can include anyone or anything that has spirits within, even counting some undead beings. He could sense people within a certain range of him, and if there are more than one person, he could easily differentiate who is who by deciphering their spirit patterns. This ability takes a lot focus of the mind.
With the ability to sense life forces, Bejei has a little advantage in battle. He could pinpoint his opponents’ movements by determining the input and output of their spirits. It’s like foretelling a move before it occurs. He won many battles and escaped many near death experiences with this ability. However, things don’t always come out as plan. He does get hit every now and then like everyone else.
With the constant brutal training sessions, his speed, agility, and strength slightly exceed that or a normal human. His foot work and hand speed regulate at a faster pace than normal, and it’s quite useful during fighting or any evasive maneuver. This gives him the opportunity to land attacks or dodge attacks better than others do.
10) Magic:
Afterimage: This spell gives him the ability to place a imagery of him to distract or confuse his opponents whereas he sneak attacks from other angles and sides. The faulty life like image lasts for at least one minute or until it is attack.
Magic Expel: This is a rare magic spell which nullifies all magic casting. The only person able to cast magic is the caster of this spell. Anyone within a quarter mile radius of the spell would be affected. The effects of the spell last less than ten minutes or until he dismisses it, and it slowly drains the strength of his magic and life force in the process.
11) Weaknesses: Bejei doesn’t like socializing opening with anyone, friend of foe, but if he has to then he would do it. If he could keep to himself then he would gladly accept it. He isn’t good with opening up conversations or carrying one for long. He has an anger problem, but he would never admit it. If someone offends him in the slightest then he would make it known by insulting them or stepping up into their face to show his displeasure. He would more than likely provoke them into a fight to solve the problem.
He isn’t good at apologizing or thanking people for their good deed. When he enjoys something or feels happy, it’s hard for him to show it in front of people. Most of the time, he refuses to accept help from people, and it’s rare that he would help people in need as well. The only time he would aid people is when he believes it’s beneficial or he has a little compassion for them.
Patience is something that holds value to him, but he occasionally disregards it in order to complete the mission faster. These actions could get him into serious trouble which he could have avoided if he proceed slower.
He holds little trust for other people in his field of expertise. He isn’t a good partner when dealing with co-op missions. He believes the other persons or people would slow him down. He doesn’t follow the rules or plans that are set for co-op operations.
Bejei usually leaves himself open to counterattacks when he attacks aggressively. The only time he would assault a foe aggressively is when he tries to pressure them into a defensive mode or he wants to test how good they are protecting themselves. Sometimes he merely wants to showboat for his own pleasure. While he is in aggressive mode, no one should attack or trade punches with him since he has quick hand speed.
He is an excellent swordsmanship, but he makes mistakes when he uses barrages of attacks. This puts him in offensive mode, and it leaves his shoulders and forearms open to attacks. Although the openings don’t stay open for long so anyone fighting him must take advantage as quickly as possible. He does have a little (tiny) trouble wielding the sword since he usually wields it with one hand. If someone could strike the right area with precision and timing then it could easily be dislodge from his
grasp. Bejei also grips the katana in an unusual way so if someone uses brute strength and the right timing then they could knock it out of his hand.
Bejei’s martial art is great, but it does have its flaws. If he is being attack continuously then he will eventually slip up on his guard and get hit. One thing that no one should ever do is pressure him continuously because he will find ways to counterattack. The best place to attack Bejei is the chest and stomach since he occasionally guards his face more.
He has incredible stamina and endurance, but he does run out of gas. If he attacks continuously then it would be good to wear him down, but don’t count on it. A good thing to do to wear him down or land attacks is assault at different angles with different punches or kicks. Change up the pattern of fighting to keep him off guard since he will be looking to counter or exploit the same patterns of attacks.
He dislikes fighting mages or anyone that can wield magic to a threatening degree. He avoids those types of people, but that doesn’t mean he wouldn’t fight them. Just like magic wielding individuals, he isn’t effective when fighting someone that uses range weapons. He would try to get closer which might leave some openings.
He is vulnerable to all elemental magics, and the elements can seriously harm him if powerful enough. Physical magics are more harmful to him than mental magics, but it still affects him in some form or another.
Also the weakess part of his body is the chest. It's where his huge scar resides, and somehow it still hasn't fully healed over the years. It's gentle and can easily be open with power shots to that section.
12) Personality: Bejei barely socialize openly with people unless needed or he desired to. And when he does, it's usually the more intense and grumpy side of him, but occasionally his nice side appears. He locked up all his true emotions, and only the intense and angry side surfaces. He trusts only himself and his weapon. He prefers to be left alone and in secrecy if possible. He cares little about the well-being of others. He fears nothing and no one. He is intelligent in many ways. There are two
things that he dislikes more than anything in the world is authorities and higher class (rich people).
His ambitions burn strongly, but sometimes indecisiveness causes him to lose opportunities. The goals that he sets for himself are minor since he doesn't look too much into the future. He takes one day at a time since he believes he may be dead the next day. Life is nothing but uncertainty so he lives it anyway he wanted.
Bejei can sometimes get mesmerized by attractive women. He would flirt with them a little but never get too close for fear of getting involved in a relationship. Anyone who gets involve with him is liabilities, and his enemies would surely kill them. He doesn't want to make the same mistakes his friends did by letting his guard down. People end up dead that way.
The only things that he enjoys doing is fighting and training. He would meditate for hours on end without ever budging from the spot. The mind is a powerful weapon, and he intended on heightening his senses to its fullest. Even with all the intensive meditating, he is a bad judge of char. He is over confident, egotistic, and too proud for his own good, and that's where trouble comes knocking at his door steps.
13) Biography: Bejei lived with his family in a two bedroom house in a small unknown town. His father Genji had landed a job there as a swordsman trainer. Genji was a tall and handsome man around his early thirties. He has dark brown eyes and long pitch black hair, and his hair came down to his shoulder. He was six feet and two inches, weighing nearly two hundred pounds. He had on matching white clothing, and he was known to many as one of the best swordsman in the village. He was hired to train the military and anyone who wanted to learn. He was a very kind and generous man. Sometimes he would train people without getting profit in returned. He would later accept anything that they could pay, and once in a while food and clothing would be paid instead of money.
The townspeople praised Genji for saving them from a rogue goblin that came into the village terrorizing the weak and defenseless. The goblin was said to come every now and then to steal something. Everybody from around would come to him for lessons in swordsmanship so they could defend themselves. He was happy to help people in need; also he enjoyed the company very much.
Bejei was still a little boy at the time, always clinging to his mother's side. His mother Mai was a beautiful young woman who had just given birth to yet another son named Supa. Her shiny brown hair flowed pass her shoulder as it covered parts of her back. Her eyes are hazel and sparkles in the sunlight. She stood around five feet and eight inches, and she weighs one hundred to one hundred ten pounds. She wears a blouse with beautiful designs of flowers, and it goes along wonderfully with her skirt of roses. She had just turned twenty-four ten days before birth. She worked at a fabric store sewing clothing, and she also sold fabrics and clothing to the villagers. Mai was known to many as a virtuous person. She was a good wife, friend, and mother. When Supa was born, she had to take time off work to take care of both her sons.
Bejei was three years old when he first study martial arts and swordsmanship under his father Genji. At first he never really wanted to learn it until he saw his father defeat the ferocious little goblin. He wished to someday be the greatest warrior in the world just like his father (in his opinion). He was very persistent for his age. His father told him while they were training that he was destined for greatness.
Every day and night he trained with his father. He had to used a wooden sword because he wasn't old enough for a real one. Once every year a tournament was held to decide who was best among the village children. Genji entered Bejei into the competition knowing that his son had a good chance of winning. Bejei didn't get to showcase his new fighting abilities in the finals because he was caught brutally beating his opponent before the match was to take place. He was disqualified from the finals making the other kid the champion.
Genji was so disappointed at Bejei when they returned home. Bejei pleaded his case that the other kid and his friends tried to jumped him outside. He was merely trying to defend himself, but nobody believed him, not even his parents. They were too upset with his behavior. They couldn't stay angry at him for long since they had a forgiving heart. After that little incident, Bejei was banned from ever entering the competition again. The townspeople began to despised Bejei, wondering why he acted like a nuisance when his parents are loving people.
Bejei started getting into trouble everywhere he went. He had an anger problem. Whenever someone messed with him, he beat them up. Genji and Mai always had to go to the families of Bejei's victims and have a talk with them. When he saw the disappointment on their faces, he vowed to changed his trouble ways.
Years passed on with little changed from Bejei's attitude. Trouble seemed to be following him wherever he went. One day a noble man named Arthur came to Genji seeking some listen in swordsmanship. His offered was tempting since Genji and the family needed money. Genji and Mai welcomed him into their home, and Arthur was going to stay with them for a week or so. Bejei had a bad feeling about the man from the moment he laid eyes on him.
A few days later Arthur ran out the house yelling that somebody had stolen his money. All the townspeople gathered around shocked because this kind of thing had never occured there. The authority came to the village to search everybody and their homes. Bejei immediately knew something was definitely not right. He followed Arthur into this parents bedroom. The man open the closet revealing his bag of money. The man had a sadistic smile on his face as he looked around suspiciously. Bejei's assumptions were true about the man after all. The last place to search was Bejei's house. Genji and Mai willingly led the men in to look around. They knew that they had nothing to hide from the authority because they didn't steal the money. Arthur signal for the four men to head in to check the bedroom. Bejei moved in their way to block them, but they quickly shoved him aside as they retrieved the money from the closet. Arthur shouted to Genji, "Thief!"
"What!?" Genji replied with confusion. The four men took hold of Genji and lead him outside. Bejei and Mai pleaded for Arthur to not take Genji, but Arthur just turned away with a cold glare on his face.
"Stop! I was the one who took the money not my dad. Take me instead!" Bejei shouted after them. The four men ignored his cries as they dragged Genji forward.
The townspeople were shocked to find out that Genji was the one responsible. Word spread quickly throughout town and beyond. People began to hate and mistreat Genji and his family for being criminals. His reputation was torn to shreds.
Bejei was furious at this man Arthur; deep down inside him something stranged and evil was stirring. He wanted to kill the man, but after a moment of thought, he decided that it wasn't worth it. He began to have a burning hatred for the rich and no more respect for authority. They went to the prison to visit Genji. Mai held Supa in her arm as she cried. Her beloved husband locked up like an animal. His father went to prison without even defending himself. Genji knew that he was falsely accused for some crime he didn't commit. The looked of sorrow and despair fell upon his face when he saw Bejei in tears. "Come here." Bejei walked over to his father. "Don't cry my son. You have to be strong for your mother's sake. Can you do that?" Genji asked sincerely. Bejei nodded his head in agreement.
"Ok, that's good. You have to take care of your mother and brother while I'm gone. If you do that for me then I'll get you a real sword when I get out." Bejei nodded his head again. "Good, I'll see you later," Genji replied quietly.
Mai was eventually fired from her job because someone accused her of stealing fabrics and clothes. She saved enough money to post bail. Since the authority didn't have any hard evidence on Genji they had no choice but to let him go. The days that his father was not there seem like months and years. The moment Mai and Genji reunited; it was magical. Everything seemed to go back to normal. Everybody hated the family by now except for two old folks. Their names were Veles and Tyan. They were old friends of the family since they were the ones who welcomed the family into the village.
One day Bejei and his mother came home from the market when his father surprised him with a katana. It was his early birthday present since he was going to turn eleven. Bejei and his father trained for hours on end. Whenever he didn't do something right his father made him do it until he had it down perfectly. Everyday passed by with Bejei getting better. He tried to put their trouble past behind him. Supa just watched on as he played with his wooden sword. "Mom, why do Bejei get a real sword, and I don't?" Supa asked.
She just smiled at him before replying, "You're not old enough honey. When you get to be your brother's age then you'll get one." He stomped his feet as he whined continuously.
Bejei's dreams of becoming the best swordsman in the world was coming true. He knew that if he kept this pace and trained harder then he will achieved it. His father tried to teach him how to be self aware of his surroundings and to use all his senses to his advantage. No matter how much he tried he could not do it. His progress reached the minimum expectation he and his father had set for him.
While hunting, Genji tried to teach Bejei the element of surprise. He stalked his prey carefully before attempting an assault. "Bejei, you have to always know your environment. Always analyze everything that you see with great detail. This is the only way to survive," Genji told Bejei. Bejei nodded his head, trying to place those words deep into his memory. "Son, don't ever be to over anxious or hasty because your prey will notice you. Always at all time try to blend in with your surrounding area. Move swiftly but quietly," said Genji. He nodded that he understands. Genji tested Bejei to see if he remembered everything that he taught him. After a dozen tries, he decided to quit. Genji easily captured their meal.
At the dinner table, Bejei was surprised at how much his father knew about those things. After dinner his father wanted to talk to him about something very important. They laid down and watch the stars while Mai watched from the window with a smile. "Dad, how do you know how to do all those things?" asked Bejei.
"Well son, I learned all these things from some of the best warriors that ever lived." Bejei listened carefully. "I had a lot of lessons when I was about your age. My masters told me to train hard.” He paused for a moment to looked at Bejei who's stared at him with excited eyes. "To make the story short, you have to train very hard my son. I know you can do these things as well. Just put your mind and heart to it."
"Yes dad, I’ll train hard so one day I will be as good as you!" replied Bejei. Genji told Bejei about his past experiences, but Bejei was caught on wanting to be a great warrior. He wanted to follow in his dad's footsteps. His dad gave him a kiss goodnight, and soon he drifted off to sleep, thinking of nothing but training to be the best.
The sunrise had just come when screams could be heard from outside. Bejei awoke hearing people yell,"Fire! Fire!". He saw the smoke come into his room. He woke up Supa and carried him outside. Veles and Tyan held Supa while Bejei ran back in to save his parents. He called out to his parents, but there was no answered. The flames had already taken the door. It seemed as though the whole house was about to collapse. The ceiling was crumbling as a huge piece of wood fell down next to Bejei. Someone grabbed Bejei from behind and pulled him to safety before the whole house was engulf by flames. Supa cried in Tyan's arms as Bejei felled to his knees with tears.
Even though the townspeople had hated Genji and his family, they didn't want this tragedy to happen to them. Bejei and Supa lost their parents. They had nowhere to live and no place to go. He stared at the burnt house, crying quietly. Veles and Tyan welcomed Bejei and Supa into their home because they didn't have any children of their own.
After the flames were put out they found no trace of Genji and Mai's body or bones. They assumed that the body and bones were burnt to crisp. No one knew the cause of the fire. The only thing that they found was a locket that his mother wore. Bejei knew there was a chance that his parents were still alive somewhere.
He persuaded the authorities to search for them, but nothing turned up. Weeks went by with no sign of his parents. The search was called off, pronouncing them dead. Bejei gaved the locket to Supa because it hurt him too much to wear it. He couldn’t accept their deaths. He doubted his own life, and he soon lost all hopes of ever finding them. He had everthing ripped away from him in an instant.
A few months had gone by, Bejei and Supa stayed with the old folks. Their stay was a pleasant one, but it just wasn't the same without their parents around anymore. One night, Tyan came to Bejei's side as he watched his crumbled house from a distance. "My child, you have an incredible gift," said Tyan.
He heard rumors about people who could manipulate elements, but he didn't know who they were. Bejei heard stories about people who could wield magic like someone would a sword. He knew many people in his town knew how to cast magic, but he didn't understand if he could every do it. He heard that some magics have the ability to heal people. Bejei's mind quickly zoomed back to the old woman's words. "Since your time here, I've felt a strange presence inside of you. I know that you are destine for greatness," Tyan stated to Bejei.
Bejei turned around when she said he was destine for greatness. He pondered that statement. "That was the same thing my dad had said," thought Bejei. The old lady told him that he had the ability to possess magic. She told him that some people had to learn magic while he was born with it. He didn't know what to believe. Bejei was too emotional to put things into perspective. "I can help show you how to use your magic powers if you like?" asked Tyan.
"I don't have any magic powers!" Bejei shot back angrily. The old lady just smiled as she left him to pondered these new developments. He didn’t want to have anything to do with magic because he was still too upset over the lost of his parents. Before she left the room she warned him, "Bejei, you have something very dark lurking deep within the boundaries of your soul." He shivered after he heard that statement. He decided to dismissed those crazy ideas as he drifted off to sleep, thinking about leaving the village.
A few weeks passed as he planned for his escaped. When the night came, he had second thoughts. He didn't want to leave his brother Supa behind, but he didn't want to stay there any longer. The place reminded him of too much hurt and despaired. He wrote a note and place it on the table. He packed whatever belonging he had and slowly crept out unnotice. He knew that it was going to be tough because he had no food or money, and he just thought about what his father had taught him about survival.
One cold night he came across a empty road. He heard screams in the distance and decided to go help whoever was in trouble. He came to a stop when he saw two wolves growling at a young girl. She looked to be about his age. She had long black hair, and she wored a raggedy skirt and old fashion shirt. She was surrounded by those beasts, and he instinctively grabbed a long wooden stick to use as a weapon. In a short scuffle, Bejei managed to drive off the hungry creatures. Vina only received minor cuts and bruises. Luckily, Bejei showed up in time or it would have been worse.
"Thank you. Thank you very much," said the girl. Bejei just stared at her with tired eyes. "Can you understand me? I'm Vina. What's your name?" Bejei just stared at her with the same tired look. "Well, I best be going." She got off the ground and headed off. She turned around and waved goodbye. He moved on only to faint because of exhaustion from not eating and drinking in two days.
When he regained consciousness, he laid in bed. The room was dark, the only light was a small candle near a table. He wondered where he was. He heard some voices outside the door before it swung open. He quickly closed his eyes as though he was still sleeping. Vina entered the room carrying a tray with a piece of bread, water, and meat on it. She walked over to the table and place it down. Bejei squinted his eyes to look at her, and she turned around to looked at Bejei. She slowly walked towards him when a older boy stormed into the room. "Hey, what's the big idea Vina? Taking in strays, you should know better!" shouted the bigger boy.
"He is not a stray. For your information, he saved my life. I owed it to him," Vina replied commandingly. They argued for awhile before the older boy stormed out of the room shouting. Vina's angry expression changed when she looked at Bejei. She smiled then raced out of the room. He reopen his eyes and saw the food. He immediately got out of bed and went over to it. It looked and taste so good that he gobbled it up in mere minutes. He quickly went back to sleep afterward.
The next morning Bejei awoke to loud clashes outside. He decided to go check it out. He went out the door and head out towards the noise. He found kids about his age and younger playing around. A couple dozens of them were laughing. He entered the front door when everybody turned towards him. "So the stray has decided to join us," said the older boy.
"Hey, Hinku kicked his butt!" shouted a kid. Hinku was a boy about two or three years older than Bejei. He was twice the size of any kid in the yard. He had a shaved head, and mean face. He wored black t-shirt and blue pants with black shoes. He agreed with the other kid and challenged Bejei to a fight. "Kid, if you win then you can stay. When... you lose, you have to get the hell out of here!" shouted Hinku. These were the stipulations for the fight.
Vina ran out of the house screaming for Hinku to stop it. Bejei didn't understand what was happening. "I don't want to be here anyway. I'm leaving!" Bejei told everybody.
"So, we're not good enough for you huh? You're not going anywhere until we fight!" Hinku remarked angrily. Vina pushed Hinku, telling him to stop all the nonsense. Bejei walked away from him without answering. "It seems to me that Vina has taken a shine to you kid." Vina looked around nervously while Bejei stop for awhile before continuing on his way.
Without warning, Hinku leapt at Bejei from behind knocking him to the ground. He pummeled Bejei in the back dozens of time before Vina jumped on his back. He tossed her to the ground as he grabbed Bejei by the shirt. Once Bejei saw Vina on the ground; it angered him. He fought back punching and kicking Hinku's gut. After a few long agonizing minutes, Bejei was declared the victor. Everybody crowded around Bejei cheering him on because he was the first to ever defeat Hinku. Bejei went over to where Vina laid and helped her up. She gracefully thank him.
After Hinku recovered from that beating, he went towards Bejei and Vina. Everyone thought that he was going to fight Bejei again, but instead he offered his hand in friendship. Bejei looked at the other kids, Vina, then Hinku. He reached out to greet him with a handshake thus beginning their friendship.
Four years later, they matured to be adults as they said goodbye to all their friends. Bejei was now nineteen years old; he was finally a man. They moved to a new place seeing that it was time for a new start. Bejei never forgot his father's wise words as he managed to squeeze in training. He helped trained Hinku and Vina as well. They settle in a small village like the one Bejei grew up in.
For a long time, Bejei felt like himself again before his parents died. It was hard, but he managed to put his parents death behind. He had decided to start a family of his own with the people that he loved. He enjoyed his new life, but just can't help but wondered how his little brother Supa was doing. He hoped that he is in good care. He never felt so happy and alive. He thought about going back to visit his brother, but it would feel awkward since they had been apart for so long. Vina and Bejei had discussions about getting marry, also starting a family.
Everything was too good to be true as tragedy struck. Not long after Hinku got married and had a daughter named Mae, his wife died in child birth. He was torned apart and never really recovered from that incident. Bejei desperately tried to comfort his grieving friend, but nothing seemed to work. "Don't worry Hinku, I promised to never let any harm come to your daughter". Hinku nodded his head as he carried his daughtered off.
Another four years of mourning for Hinku as he continued to visit her grave. Mae was now four years of age.
Bejei and Vina sat undered a apple tree mesmerized at how beautiful the moon light was. "Bejei, do you remember the first time we kiss?" Vina replied while in Bejei's arms.
"Of course, it seems as though it was only yesterday," Bejei answered. They reminisce for a while before living it in reality. They felled asleep in each others arms.
The next day it was a warm morning as the sun shined down on the village. "Aunt Vina, when are you and Uncle Bejei going to have a baby? I need someone to play with," Mae urged happily. Vina just smiled at the little girls request. She pointed to her stomach. "Mae, I think your wish is going to come true pretty soon," replied Vina as she told Mae to feel her stomach. Mae's eyes lit up as she felt Vina's stomach. "Does Uncle Bejei know?" Mae asked excitedly.
"Not yet Mae. Promise me you won't tell him ok? I want it to be a surprise," replied Vina. Mae agreed as she nodded her head. She ran outside happily as Bejei step into the house. "Why is Mae in such a cherry mood?" He asked her. Vina just smiled as she shrugged her shoulder.
A loud scream was heard echoing throughout the village. Bejei and Vina quickly ran out to see what the problem was. The townspeople were scurrying for their lives when dozens of bandits rummaged through, lashing at the townspeople. Bejei told Vina to go get Hinku while he tried to fight them off. People were getting killed left and right. Bejei grabbed his sword from his scabbard and darted off towards them. He fought hard, killing a couple as he was out number. Some of the men that lived there along with Hinku came to his aid. Bejei decided to go help on the other side while Hinku and the others hold them off there.
He ran quickly to the other side only to find his girlfriend Vina captured by six bandits. Bejei had no choice but to drop his weapon since he was at the mercy of those infidels. If he tried anything they were going to kill her. Five bandits came at Bejei with full force; they pummeled the defenseless Bejei and knocked him unconscious. When he regained consciousness, the battle was almost over. He was roughed up pretty bad, and his clothing was stained with his own blood. He called out to Vina, but no one answered. He scanned the area to find that Hinku and the others had driven some off. He was shocked to find his fellow neighbors slaughtered like animals.
He caught a glimpsed of a young woman laying on the ground underneath the apple tree. He clumsily made his way over to her. He can't believed his eyes when it was his first true love. Vina laid on her back with her clothing shredded up. She was still breathing but barely. He fell down to the ground as he crawled towards her. He reached for her and held her tightly in his arms. "No... how could this have happened?!"Bejei stated angrily.
She opened her beautiful browns eyes to looked at him. "Be..jei...," Vina whispered quietly. Tears strained down his cheek as he held her tighter. He felt her beating heart next to his. Tears soon trickled down from her eyes. "Don't talk now. Shhh... please just rest. You're going to be ok," Bejei muttered.
She moved his hand towards her stomach to have him feel the baby within. "Bejei... ," said Vina before she fell unconscious. His hand slid off her stomach as tears burst out of his eyes. He regained his footing and tended her wounds as she laid unconscious.
Bejei and the men that were left gathered all the bodies for burial. They just finished burying the bodies of their neighbors as well as the bandits when Hinku came carrying a small child. Bejei knew right then that it was little Mae. Hinku laid her down as he angrily dig up the grave. Bejei wanted to help, but he wanted to do it alone. He place his small daughtered into the grave and weeped like Bejei had never seen before.
A few months later, that tragedy altered everybody's lives for the worst. Hinku became a miserable drunk while Bejei just paced around trying to figure out how to help his friend. Strange things started happening in the village. People turned up dead, and bodies were piling up quickly. The people of the village asked Bejei and Hinku to find out who was killing all of those innocent people. Hinku became a drunk so nothing matter to him anymore, but Bejei decided to find the truth.
Late at night Bejei followed Hinku because every now and then he saw his friend sneak out to go somewhere. He decided to follow him to see what was up. “Bejei... hurry back ok. The baby will be due anytime now,” said Vina. Bejei placed his head to her stomach to listen to the baby, and he kissed her as he got up. “Don’t worry. I’ll be back,” Bejei replied joyfully.
He followed him into the woods. Hinku had a man tied to a small tree, and he was going to kill him. Bejei recognized that it was one of the man in the village. He watched from afar as Hinku lifted up his spear to strike down at him. Bejei had to intervened for the sake of the horrified man. The attacked was deflected as Hinku looked to see who it was. He watched patiently as Bejei cut loose the man and ordered him to get out of there. “I knew that you would find out sooner or later. I’m tired of everything!” Hinku remarked angrily.
“Why are you killing all those innocent people? It’s not their fault,” replied Bejei. Hinku tightened his gripped on the spear as he explained that Bejei was at fault. He couldn’t believed what he was hearing. His best friend blamed him for his daughters death.
“Let’s finished the fight we began years ago. It is a battle to the end; only one of us is going to leave here alive,” Hinku uttered with a coldness in his voice. Bejei pleaded with him that they didn’t have to fight each other. He lost people dear to his heart too, but his pleads just enraged Hinku further as the larger man charged at Bejei with spear in hand, ready to take a life. The battle had begun between long time friends and allies.
The only thing that Bejei could do was defend himself because he didn’t want to hurt his friend. Hinku’s raged had consumed him as he angrily swung his spear over and over trying to ripped Bejei apart. The fight dragged on to fifteen or twenty minutes with Hinku attacking and Bejei defending. Hinku finally connected slicing through Bejei’s armor squared across his chest. The armor was destroyed leaving a huge bloody gash on his chest region. He flew back onto the ground from the force of the impact. He felt a pain from the wound that he never experience before. While lying on the ground trying to gathered himself, Bejei knew that Hinku would never give up until one of them was dead. The only way was to defeat him, even if he had to kill his best friend.
The battle continued for another fifteen minutes before everything in the wilderness grew silent. The clashing of weapons had disappeared. The only sound was nature itself. The fight was finally over. Bejei struggled to get to his feet while Hinku laid on his back motionless. Bejei had won, but he lost even more than he had gained. He buried Hinku next to his daughtered and prayed that they both rest in peace.
After that fatal battle, he returned home to Vina. Even though he lost his friend, he was going to be a father. He felt sad and happy altogether. People were in front of his house. He immediately knew that something was wrong. Blood seeped through the cloth wrapped around his chest while he ran into the bedroom to find Vina surrounded by the women in the town. He raced to her side to find out that she died giving birth to his baby girl. Bejei asked about the baby, and they shooked their heads. He weeped uncontrollably as they help him carry her body out to be bury. He buried them next to Hinku and Mae.
Bejei decided to leave his second home behind. There was nothing left for him there. He had lost everything and everyone. It was time for him to moved on. He waited until he had recovered fully before leaving. The townspeople send him their condolences and wished him luck on his journey. He realized that everyone he loved, he had lost. Maybe, for the rest of his life and from now on, he should be alone so no one else would be hurt. It was like he was cursed or something; like death and trouble seemed to followed his every step. He packed up all his belongings, visited their graves for one last time before turning his back on his home.
In a time span of four years, Bejei became a mercenary and assassin. He moved around all over the world taking up suicidal missions for money. Everytime he returned from each mission, he was always half dead. He had seen his own blood more times then he could count. It was a life threatening occupation, but it was the only thing he knew he was good at.
Sometimes he kept asking himself why he was doing these things in the first place, but deep down inside he knew the answered to that question. He didn’t do it for revenge or to avenge his family. It was not his grief and sorrow that droved him down this lonely road... though it had a little to do with it. The reason he had done these things; he wanted his parents to see that he was ok. He was not totally convinced that they were dead.
He tried to leave his tragic past behind, but from time to time he would unwillingly recall flashbacks. Some occurrances lasted seconds while others lasted several minutes. It was like everything was happening all over again. The after effects were minor headaches and short term memory lost.
Bejei started seeing his parents recently. He kept true to his doubts when he saw them in the market place, or maybe some people that looked like them. He decided to follow them into the store but found no sign of them after they went into the crowd. Bejei compared his parents before death with the parents that he saw. They were identical except for the fact that they aged a little. He vowed to discover the truth.
A few days before, he had a run in with two deadly masked assassins. Bejei was heading back to his house in the middle of the wilderness after he had caught his prize. Two assassins had already anticipated his returned and setup traps for him. He stroded along unaware of the danger that laid ahead. Somehow, he saw slight rustling of the leaves. He stood quietly and listened. The wind blew south so how could the leaves be moving east. He slowly and cautiously made his way through the shaggy bushes.
Without warning, dozens of shurikens flew at him from every angle. Some of the shurikens struck him in the chest while he managed to deflect and block the others with his dead meal. His light steel armor had been completely damage. The shurikens penetrated his armor and pierce his flesh. He tossed the dead animal and pulled out a shuriken from his left hip. He ripped off his armor revealing a huge scar on his chest. The two masked assassins leaped from their hiding places and acrobatically landed in front of Bejei. “So the rumors about you are true,” said an assassin. They stared at his scar as proof of some of the stories.
“You two are going to pay for that”, he licked the blood from his finger, “with your lives!” Bejei exclaimed furiously. The assassins were not amused by his petty threats as they were two against one. They swiftly moved in for a direct assault. They were going to used their lightning speed as an advantage, but Bejei charged towards them with great speed. They collided with such force that it seemed like they controlled nature. Bejei was surprised at how good both their martial arts were. He knew that he’d better be careful not to make any mistakes or he was finished.
The battle of will between assassins were magnificent. After a long while, all three were bloody up pretty bad. They were exhausted as their muscles ache. Later, minor cuts and bruises turned into bloody gashes, and the green grasses were covered in blood. The masked assassins knew that if this keeps up then they won’t be able to win. They decided to use their weapons to increase their chances of victory. Both of them pulled two shiny katanas from their sheaths to showed that it was time to get down to business.
“Alright, the fun is over. It’s time to get serious,” Bejei muttered under his breath. He retrieved his sword from its scabbard and stand ready. Again the battle carried on. Bejei deflected one of the assassins katana while he kicked the other in the gut. He performed a series of flurry sword attacks that stumbled one of the assassins. Bejei slice the mask as the assassin tumbled to the ground. The masked assassin revealed itself to be a young girl. She laid there clutching her wounded stomach and arm. The other one ran to her side, and the mask was taken off to reveal a young man. “Are you ok, Kiko?” asked the man.
“I’m ok Huji. Don’t worry about me now,” answered Kiko. She grimaced as he helped tend her wounds. Bejei loosen his gripped on his sword as he stared at them. Huji saw Bejei's gaze, and he warned him to moved back or suffered the consequences. Even though Bejei was standing, he was pretty mess up; blood trickled down his mouth and nose. His body had cuts all over. “Huji... I don’t think that I can continue. His attack... cut some of my veins, and I... can’t motion properly. We have to... abort this mission,” Kiko whispered quietly to Huji. Huji’s facial expression turned to angered as Kiko desperately grabs hold of her stomach.
“I would listen to your little friend if I were you. Even though I’m pretty batter...”, he made an evil grin to hide his injuries, “you have no chance of defeating me. I will spare your miserable lives if you heed my warning and leave,” Bejei stated expressionlessly. He barely had anything left, but he was ready if the assassin would attack. With that threat, Huji rosed to his feet. “Let’s just see about that!” Huji shouted angrily. Kiko pleaded with him to stop. “No! Huji... you can’t win by yourself. We have to leave."
“So... you want to die huh? It would be rude of me to stop you. Remembered... I warned you. Hear this... your next attack... will be your last!” shouted Bejei. His bluff earlier did not work because Huji stood ready to attack. Huji position his sword and charged like a madman towards Bejei. Their swords clashed back and forth. Sparks from the sharp blades appeared like fireworks. They both disengaged and leaped back as rain now felled from the sky. Huji turned to look at Kiko as he coughed out blood. His back and chest were severely slash as he felled to the ground and laid motionless. Bejei felt pain and grabbed his left arm. His arm was cut deep, spilling out blood. Kiko desperately crawled towards Huji’s corpse, and Bejei watched her as she cried. He sheathed his sword and turned around before he unsteadily walked away.
An old lady found Bejei’s lifeless body half a mile from her home while she was out. After a few agonizing weeks, he recovered most of his wounds. Bejei paid her money for helping him. The old lady was surprised that he was alive from the look of those injuries. She told him that he was very lucky to survived. She used magic to healed him, and Bejei reluctantly accepted it.
The old lady told him that she felt the presence of magic within him. She explained to him that if he ever learned how to hardness those powers; he would be a complete fighter. She suggested to him to searched for a highly skilled mage to help him contol it. He disregarded her words and went on his way.
Bejei already knew some spells from his travels, but they were limited and not as powerful. He wanted to learned healing magic because it proved useful.
As Bejei traveled on alone, the battle between him and the assassins still lingered in his mind. At that time, he decided to leave the girl for dead even though he knew she would survive. He had a feeling that won't be the last time he'll see her. He decided to take sometime off his job to lay low for a while. Thus he wonders around city to city, concealing his true identity.
*This is Bejei's history, and it's kind of long.*

Wow, you put a whole lot of work into this character! I love his history and personality and how carefully you developed them (though in the future, it would be best to write a more concise summary bio for the character profile itself, for the sake of those who want to quickly read up on your character, and then post longer narrative versions like this one in the "Writings" section).
I have only one suggestion, and that is that your character does seem slightly overpowered. To fix this, I'd recommend lessening the area affected by his ward magic spell to something closer to a quarter mile radius (which is still quite large) and maybe developing a weakness in him against magic. You seemed to imply that he avoids fighting magic casters, and his possession of an anti-magic spell also indicates that he might be somewhat vulnerable to magic. If you could just either clarify this or give him one more substantial weakness (or take away a substantial power such as reading his opponents' movements), I'd love to approve him Let me know what you think.
