Yuuna laughed and tickled Layla. "Of course you are." Yuuna told her, "If you want to take a bath, then you and Jayden can go to the hotsprings just over there, " She pointed to the direction she came from, "It's nice and warm. Either take one tonight or in the morning. It really doesn't matter. I think we're all exhausted." Yuuna scratched her ears, unfiltered water made her ears itch.

"We'll take one in the morning," Jayden said. "I'm really tired."

Layla laughed when Yuuna tickled her. Now, she yawned. "Yeah...And Yuuna? I love you."

Yuuna blushed as she nodded. Yuuna laid down on the ground on her sleeve. "I love you too." she whispered. Yuuna fell into a half-sleep to listen for enemies.

Yuuna woke a few hours later and put some wood on the fire. Yuuna noticed the moon was full and directly above her.

Layla heard Yuuna get up. "Yuuna, what's wrong?"

Jayden still slept. She didn't even hear Layla's question which would have usually woke her up.

What are you doing, Yuuna?"

"What?" Yuuna said after staring at the moon for a minuet. "Oh, nothing's wrong, I always wake up every few hours, it's natural for me. Plus, night sounds make me unomfortable."

Yuuna looked up in the sky, she could identify all of the constilations in the sky, her mother pointed them out each clear night. Yuuna smiled to herself. The constlation that looked like a shimmering elf goddess, Helina.

"Oh. What are you looking at? The sky? Do you know the names of the stars?"

Layla got up and ran over to where Yuuna was. SHe nearly stumbled once because her ankle still hurt. She looked up at the clear, night sky to look at the starts with her.

"Which one were you looking at, Yuuna?"

"The elf goddess Helina, of beauty." Yuuna pointed at a straight line of stars near it. "That's her staff the one that good girls get tapped with before they turn into wemon. There is the god of war, Marsin. His eyes glow bright red, because he's so angry at the blue pixies around him." Yuuna almost saw her mothers kind face as she named the stars. "They say, that if a person is pure enough, thier soul goes into the stars so they can watch thier loved ones." Yuuna started to tear up, she looked away from the sky.

Layla was having so much fun with Yuuna. Her naiming all the stars. She was so smart. Then, she looked away from the sky, and Layla saw her tear up.

"Yuuna, what's wrong?" She looked up at the sky and remembered what she had said.

They say, that if a person is pure enough, thier soul goes into the stars so they can watch thier loved ones."

"Do you know someone up there?" she asked puting her arm around her. She had to think of something to get her mind off the stars. "OW!" She yelped. "I hurt my ankle again. Oh, no. Dadgum."

Yuuna looked at Layla and nodded then flipped around to look at Layla's ankle. Layla was developing a dark purple bruise. "Layla," Yuuna sniffed lightly, "You need to keep off this ankle for a little while. You'll ride on Starlight when we walk." Yuuna flipped back over, she put wood on the fire.

"It's been almost 112 years since Mom died and 15 years since my apprentice died. Maybe, in a way, I'm still grieving." Yuuna thought. She smiled at Layla, "I'm a little tired Layla, I want to rest some more." Yuuna laid down again.

"Okay," Layla said laying down next to her. It was sad. What could be troubling Yuuna so much? She was so nice. She didn't want her to cry. She couldn't ask about it now; they were both tired. She couldn't ask about it tomorrow; Jayden would be listening. Not that Jayden was a bad person. Yuuna might only want Layla to know. She wasn't aware that perhaps Yuuna might want to talk to someone older like Jayden. Layla thought of her self as important enough to know everthing that went on. That it didn't matter that she was only thirteen. When she slept, she dreamt of her mother. And of darkness taking her away...

Yuuna woke again in the morning. She had a good nights sleep despite the fact that she almost cried in the memories of her mother and apprentice that she loved like a daughter.

Yuuna let down her hair and pulled out her brush and started brushing. She pulled it through her hair about fifty times before all the tangles were gone. She braided her hair as well.

She went into the smallest pocket of her pack, inside was a necklace with a few diamonds she recieved for her birthday several years ago by a man who claime he loved her. She also had a crystal that her mother had around her neck when she died, Yuuna recieved the necklace some years later, the head priestess gave it to her.

Jayden woke up, but Layla was still asleep. She stretched and yawned, then patted Layla on the back. "Get up, Layla."

"No, I'm looking at something."

Jayden saw that her eyes were still closed, so she must have been half dreaming. "What are you looking at?"

"A...a cow."

"Oh. Okay." She laughed briefly and saw that Yuuna was looking at something. "Ooh...What's that?"

"Nothing." Yuuna said smiling at Layla. "You both need to take a bath this morning since you didn't last night." Yuuna reminded them. She slipped the crystal back in it's pocket and put on the diamond necklace.

Yuuna put the bag down on the ground and walked over to Starlight. She was eating the grass on the ground. Starlight nudged Yuuna's shoulder, "Yes," Yuuna told her, "I'm wearing this one today." then giggled as she petted Starlight.

Jayden shrugged and and went to take her bath. As soon as she was out of sight, Layla jumped up and went up to Yuuna. "Why were you so sad last night. Yuuna? Please tell me. I promise I won't tell anyone."
