Kyosuke:
Kron ran his knife over the skin of the girl he had recently captured. He had recently made a quick stop into town to kidnap her. She looked to be about 17, and that was the age where he found blood to be very tasty, and their screams even more delightful. The women would have to suffer the thought that they had lived so long only to die just short of adulthood. It made her sobs and terror just that much more enjoyable.
Again the vampire ran the knife over the girl's skin, this time lightly over her stomach, though not cutting too deeply. The girl let out another scream of pain, which then faded again into sobs. He then stabbed the knife through the girl's hand and tilted her neck, granting her sweet death by sucking her blood away.
Taki:
Yoshia nearly yelped herself when she thought she heard the screams of a girl in the distance of the forest. She jumped up too quickly from the spot she had been camping and banged her head on the low branch the she hat pitched her make-shift tent on.
"Owww!" She kneeled again, holding her hands tightly to her head. 'I really hope that wasn't someone out there..' she thought, rubbing her head roughly. Just then another cry rang through the forest and lingered in her ears and on her concience. "Damn, I can't very well sleep listening to that nor can I just let a woman die when Im near." The reikian ninja of Ongoreth crawled out of the make-shift tent and donned her sandals and headed in the direction she was hearing the screaming.
Kyosuke:
Kron finished sucking the girl dry, licking off a bit of blood that trickled down the side of his mouth. He sat in his little cave and unshackled his now dead prisoner. He didn't complete the ritual which would transform the girl into a vampire so he didn't need to worry about her returning and attempting revenge. However, he did feel a new presence moving towards his location.
He smiled, feeling that it was a female, and walked out of his cave, making sure he was careful about not revealing his fangs, he would have another victim tonight.
Taki:
Yoshia stopped in her tracks, listening carefully. 'What..?' she thought to herself, straining more to hear. 'No more screams..Oh no!' she thought again frantically, picking her pace up to a run. She dashed through the forest, trying to locate where the screams had come from.
"Woah--!" she gasped as she tripped and her face fell in mudd. "Great. A damn fine job you're doing, Shia.." She commented on herself sarcastically, wiping excess mud from her face as she pushed herself off the wet ground.
Kyosuke:
Kron continued traveling in the direction of the woman and noticed that she broke into a dash, which ended rather abruptly, he found her picking herself up from the muddy ground and approached her. "Do you need any help miss?" he asked politely.
Taki:
Yoshia's head shot up and then back at the ground, blushing embarassed behind the mud. Sheh quickly tried to get as much mud off as she could, only flinging it onto him unintendedly.
"Uh..heh..heh..N-no, I think Im ok. Umm, What are you doing out here all by yourself? And sorry you have to see me like this... even though it happens.. a lot." She stared at her feet stupidly as she talked. "Did you hear a woman screaming? I was going to find her and save her from the torture she must be enduring but then the screaming stopped and I can't figure out where they came from so could you help me find her?" She was rambling as her head lifted just enough so her pale green eyes looked up at him. He seemed polite enough, though Yoshia was naive and didn't know much about boys or what his intentions could be.
Kyosuke:
Kron smiled kindly at the girl. "I heard the screaming too and am also here to look into that," he lied. "The fact that it stopped is rather distressing, so shall we go look for the origin together?" He acted perfectly kind, a complete opposite to what he was like a few minutes ago and what he will be once they got to his cave.
Taki:
Yoshia looked up at him and smiled. She tried to scrape the remaining stains of mud from her face, but it was no use without water. She noticed she had flicked mud on him and her hands shot to her mouth in disbelief.
"Oh my goodness! Im so sorry, I didn't mean to get mud on you! Oh my gosh, here let me..!" She trailed off as she stepped closer to him to reach up and try to brush the mud off of him. "It would be nice to be accompanied to the screaming girl to save her."
Kyosuke:
Kron smiled again. "Don't worry about it," he said. He tore off the parts of his cape that were stained with mud and they quickly regenerated. "My cloak is very useful in situations like this." He threw the scraps of cloth away.
"I think the sceams were coming from this way," the vampire said, leading her in the relative direction of his cave, but not directly to it. "By the way, I'm Kron Bloodfang, nice to meet you."
Taki:
Yoshia nodded and followed him, since he obviously must know his way around this place since he is out here alone. She screamed and grabbed onto his arm as she tripped over a root after the first few meters they walked.
"Gyahh!!" She cried as she clung to his arm and tried to restablize her feet. When she finally stood and regained composure she blushed and brushed herself off. "Sorry about that... Im rather clumsy.. but my name is Yoshia Sakakida, nice to meet you aswell." She beamed a bright smile at him.
Kyosuke:
Kron supported the ninja's weight with ease and helped her stabilize herself again. He continued leading her towards his cave, taking a few detours along the way, an extra turn here and there, and some delays for him to stop and think. Of course, he eventually got back onto the main road after several twists and turns, but he hoped that the girl following him didn't notice that.
Taki:
Yoshia walked, or rather stumbled, the rest of the way quietly and without his arm's support. She looked around silently, her big green eyes taking in the scenery. She scrunched her face when she saw a clearing and took on a suspicious look.
"...I've seen this rock before.." She said pointing to a tiny pebble in the dirt by the side of the road. She squatted next to it and examined it critically. "So, where are you from, Kron? Im from a small town of Reikian ninjas in Ongoreth. My father taught me in his school. I can see auras." She inquired his origin as she examined the worthless pebble.
Kyosuke:
Kron stopped to wait for the girl. "I'm from the town right around here, it's called Orndon," he replied. "But I've traveled quite a ways around the world before. Of course, the only thing I really learned are ways to hide my presence, including my aura." The vampire knew he gave off no aura, being an undead did that to a person. If she would willingly give him such information, he knew she was suspecting him, but the vampire just continued to smile kindly at the girl.
Taki:
Yoshia stood and wrapped her arms around herself and dropped the pebble. She yawned and perched herself on a large boulder in the clearing.
"Oh.." She sounded almost hurt. "So then I guess you don't trust me." Her eyes almost looked glassy as they changed to near black. She kept her stare to the ground so he didn't see her eyes change color. "That's ok.."
Kyosuke:
Kron blinked. "What do you mean? Of course I trust you... well, as much as one stranger could trust another. There's no point in me hiding anything about where I come from and there's no harm in telling you that I learned to hide my aura either." The vampire didn't exactly lie about those two points either. He did come from Orndon, and technically become a vampire was learning to hide his aura.
Taki:
Yoshia jumped and went wide-eyed, her eyes turning green and her pinks blushing rose. She turned to him and tried to stutter out something whimsical and witty to shrug off her stupidness with but none came.
"I uhh.. er... well that is, we- I mean.. Oh hell.." She stammered. "Im sorry, I don't know why I acted like such a fool just then." She gave a half smile but her idiocy still showed through.
Kyosuke:
Once again, Kron smiled kindly at the ninja. "Don't worry about it, c'mon, let's keep going," he said, started to walk towards his cave again, this time he took a more direct path. 'Good, she trusts me,' he thought to himself, his outer appearance not betraying his inner thoughts. 'That means it'll just hurt more when that trust is broken.' He turned and smiled again. "C'mon, let's go!" he said, waving her over.
Taki:
Yoshia struggled with the rest of the path, even though it was far more clear-it just made it easier for her to walk faster and then trip after getting her feet twisted together. She must of tripped five times until they came to a cave.
"Hey! That must be where the woman is! Come on lets go save her!" She shouted, proud of herself for doing something right for once. She bolted into the cave, going deep before she saw a small fire and a body on the floor. A dead woman's body-about 17. The woman she had heard. Her face was stricken with horror as she back slowly, stumbling and finally bumping into Kron. She jumped and turned quickly, looking up at him. She didn't have a good feeling and her eyes changed from their shade of green to a mix of hazel and black. She was scared.
Kyosuke:
Kron walked over to the girl that he had killed a while ago, still not revealing the truth. He looked her over. "It looks like she was tortured with a knife," he said. He then shifted her neck over, revealing the fang marks. "And it looks like a vampire did it."
Taki:
Yoshia felt sick on just hearing the vile word. She stumbled back again and fell to the ground, gasping and holding her leg. She twisted her ankle when she fell.
"Damn!" She cried and held her ankle. "I-I don't feel so good, Kron." She was deathly afraid of vampires and now her ankle was hurt. If a vampire lived in this cave, she didn't want to be in it.
Kyosuke:
Kron turned to the fire. "You know, this fire looks like it was made pretty recently," he said. "He may have just stepped out to look for more prey and is coming back soon." He moved closer to the fallen girl.
Taki:
Yoshia's eyes shot up at him. He was coming towards her, the whole atmosphere-especially the girl, was making her nautious.
"Le-lets get out of here before it comes back! Please! I-I can't fight vampires!!" She pleaded with him and then muttered to herself. "Oh hell, I should of never left home! I should of stayed in Ongoreth!!" She was near tears as she scooched herself backwards and into a wall of the cave on her bottom. Her head shot around to look at the damp wall in disbelief, as if it had purposely put itself there to trap her.
Kyosuke:
Kron's kind smile suddenly turned a little more feral and sadistic. "In fact, he may be here already," he said, now baring his fangs. Before she could react, he used his vampiric speed and power to attempt to smash his fist into her stomach, trying to knock her out.
Taki:
Yoshia shrieked as she dove out of his way, causing him to smash a hole into the cave wall she had bumped into, but her attempt to dodge caused her ankle to twist further. A sharp pain shot through her and she cried out in pain. Tears sprang from her eyes as they became glossy and clouded.
"AHHH!! Oh god please save me!" She cried to no one. "Help!" She shrieked, knowing her shouts were in fain. She held her ankle tightly.
Taki:
Kron froze for a moment at the sight of the Ongoreth woman screaming and crying, but shook it off a bit later. He closed in on her relatively slowly and went to give her a chop at the back of the neck. Any attacks he followed with were an attempt to knock the injured girl out, seeing as he could then chain her down and take his time without the risk of her injuring him.
Taki:
Yoshia heard his steps more clearly as her head cleared and she stopped crying. Her eyes had clouded over completely and changed to dark gray. Her ankle didn't hurt anymore and the room seemed to turn into slow motion. He hit the back of her neck, but it didn't sting as much as if she had remained in her naive state. Her body had seemed to turn into steel when she braced herself. She rolled away and jumped up to a ledge high above him. Her eyes scanned for a place to strike him and then get as far into town as she could. She had to get away from the vile vampire.
Kyosuke:
Kron snarled at the ninja's sudden change in behavior. She was able to move more gracefully than before. He looked towards where the ninja now was and pounced towards her, intending to pin her down with his superior strength.
Taki:
Yoshia saw him coming at him and dove towards the direction of the cave mouth. She huffed for a moment as she landed with elegance near the body of the woman. Her gray fighting eyes shot up to the vampire momentarily before speeding towards the forest. When she got out she didn't know the direction of the town or where she was since the vampire had led her into a trap. She darted to the left and then when she got far enough away, circled and went to the right-eventually seeing a town in the distance.
Kyosuke:
The vampire shrugged as the woman managed to run off. He had already fed for the night, and she had gone to his hometown, or as he prefered to call it now, his hunting grounds. The vampire smiled sadistically, he would make her regret seeking refuge in that town.
Taki:
Yoshia was calming down, her eyes changing back to green as she entered the town. It was getting late and cold. She shivered as a breeze blew her black hair off her shoulders and she wrapped her arms around herself.
'Got to find a place to sleep..' she thought wearily, still remembering the vampire coming at her. She limped and stumbled to the ground in pain, her ankle remembering it was twisted. "Gyah! Oww..." She winced as she sat on the hard ground, squeezing her ankle again. She jumped as a man's feet appeared next to her. Her breath caught in her chest as the thought that it was the vampire crossed her mind. His voice was different from the vampire's though. When she looked up, it was a taller man with sandy blonde hair-like the tips of her own hair. She sighed in relief and let him help her up.
Kyosuke:
The sandy haired man reached his hand down and helped the woman up. "Are you alright miss?" he asked. "It looks like your ankle's hurt, and you looks like you just got here. It's amazing that you got past, you know HIM." The man refused to say Kron's name, as if saying his name would bring misfortune upon the whole town.
Taki:
Yoshia was still breathless. She gripped tightly to his arm and clung to him like a frightened child. All she could do was nod to all of his questions.
"Can you show me to a place where I can be inside, instead of out in the open? I only just barely escaped!" She choked out, pulling her kimono tightly around her.
Kyosuke:
The man nodded and supported the woman's weight. "You can stay at my house, he's already taken all the women there so if he was to come here on one of his... trips, he probably wouldn't check there," he said, leading her to his own house. "I'm Demitrius by the way."
Taki:
Yoshia felt sick when he said that Kron had taken all of the women already. She wearily shook his hand as he introduced himself.
"Yoshia..." She spoke wearily, tired out from her eye shift. "And thank you.. for letting me stay with you." She mustered up the best smile she could and leaned on him for support, her ankle still stinging.
Kyosuke:
The two arrived at Demitrius' house. He quickly opened the door and entered with Yoshia. "By the way, I think you're not quite aware of the town you entered. This is Orndon, the... hometown of that beast," he explained. "This is his main 'hunting grounds' to find new prey." He said the last part with a sneer on his face, and a very bitter tone.
Taki:
Yoshia felt even sicker, though she didn't think it possible, as she listened to Demitrius explain the town she'd stumbled upon. She wished she never left her make-shift tent in the first place, though this place did beat sleeping on the ground.
"Ehh..." She didn't know how to reply to what he was explaining. "D-do you have any water?" She inquired meekly and shrank into a chair, eyeing him innocently-naively.
Kyosuke:
Demitrius nodded and walked over to a barrel. He dipped a clean cup into it and brought over a full cup of water to Yoshia. "Here," he said, handing it to her. "Like I said, you shouldn't have to worry about him here. What were you doing in the area anyway?"
Taki:
Yoshia quietly said her thanks as she sipped from the water and the cooling liquid slid down her throat. She closed her eyes and savored the refreshment it gave her.
"What were you doing in the area anyway?" Demitrius asked her. She stared into her now half empty cup and shuddered at the memory of the evening. She finished her water and told him the whole story from when she'd heard the screams til he helped her up when she arrived.
Kyosuke:
Demitrius nodded. "I see, he attracts many travelers that way by acting like he's on their side. It gives them a sense of betrayal to feel as he tortures them I suppose," he said. "He did it to us a few years ago. He dressed up as a traveler who was injured, and won the hearts of the villagers before betraying them. It's sorta fitting I guess. Considering what happened to him."
Taki:
Yoshia shivered and leaned in closer to Demitrius, giving him a curious look.
"What happened to him..?" She asked, so much she needed to learn about the town and it's past and Kron. Her ankle was hurting again and she leaned down to hold her ankle, wishing the pain would stop.
Kyosuke:
Demitrius sighed. "Well, as I mentioned before, this town is his hometown. Of course, he was born a bit over a hundred years ago," he began explaining. The sandy haired man went through the story of what happened to Kron as is listed in his bio, minus any weaknesses he may have.
Taki:
Yoshia frowned at the depressing story. She wrapped her arms around herself and shivered again.
"That's terrible..and so sad.." Her eyes were glossy with pity tears. Once again her ankle demanded her hands to hold it as it shot a pain through her again. "Augh.. ow.. damn ankle." She grimmaced as she wrapped her fingers around her ankle.
Kyosuke:
Demitrius bent down and took off Yoshia's sandals and took a look at her ankle. "Hmm, the sprain's not that bad, just stay off of it for a while," he said and took out a bandage. He reinforced the ankle with it, and since it wasn't an elastic one, it made it very hard to walk on that ankle normally.
Taki:
Yoshia winced as he bandaged her ankle, but she smiled down at him just the same as she watched her ankle wrapped.
"You're very kind to do this for me, very kind. Im very thankful." She spoke softly. "Im terribly sorry if Im a burden, just let me know if I am and I'll be on my way-I'll get a room in an in somewhere for a night." She babbled to him as he finished wrapping.
Kyosuke:
Demitrius frowned slightly. "Don't go anywhere with your ankle like that," he said. 'You'll just aggrivate it further. Just stay in one of my spare rooms, you'll be fine there." He stood up. "I won't accept any objections to it."
Taki:
Yoshia blushed and stood, wobbly and unbalanced from putting her weight on one foot. She appologized again. The clumsy ninja waved her arms about as she fell over after loosing balance.
"Woah!! Waah! Oof!" She hadn't hurt herself more but she blushed deeper and wouldn't look up at him. "Im a little clumsy..." She said, embarassed.
Kyosuke:
"Here, I'll help you to the room," Demitrius offered. He helped Yoshia onto her feet and led her towards the room she would stay in. It was a plain room, it had a bed, tables, and cabinets in it. There were also stuffed animals all around the room. "This was my daughter's room, you can stay here."
Taki:
Yoshia stopped and leaned away from him, almost falling again but she regained her composure.
"This was my daughter's room, you can stay here." Demitrius said. She glanced around the room at the stuffed animal and a sad air filled the room.
"Your.. daughter..?" She spoke quietly. The ninja remembered Demitrius saying that Kron had already taken all of the women of the house.
Kyosuke:
"Yeah, that bastard took him when she was just 12," Demitrius said in a pained voice. "And he didn't go any easier on her. I heard her screams of pain all the way from here." The man looked like he was on the verge of breaking into tears. The memories of his loss flooding back to him.
Taki:
Yoshia gasped as her hand shot to her mouth, she was nearly in tears as well. She then became angry.
"Why doesn't anyone in this town fight back? Why does he only take the women! And how, as a father, could you let this happen?!" She choked out. "As her father, it was your job to protect her no matter what! You could hear her screams from here? My god, that is sickening!" She cried and limped over to her bed without his help.
Kyosuke:
"We're all too scared to fight back!" the distressed man sobbed. "And the reason he only targets women, it's his... 'punishment' towards the men of the town for letting the murderer in that killed his beloved. But I think the reason he does it now is simply because he likes the taste of female blood."
Flickers of light shown through the shades on the window and the sobbing man went towards it to look at what was happening. As soon as he reached it, a rapier blade stabbed through it stabbing into the man's heart. "That reason is absolutely correct," the voice of Kron said. The vampire jumped through the window, shattering the glass and revealing the flames that were now burning the town down behind him. "I warned you all that if you decided to shelter someone I was hunting, that your town would suffer." The vampire laughed sadistically and turned his sights on the ninja.
Taki:
Yoshia shrieked and limped out of the room as fast as she could. Tears blurred her vision and her ankle shot pains with every light step she took on it. She was hurdling her body for a room to hide in. She couldn't get the image of her host getting stabbed and the vampire jumping through the window. She doubted she would be provoked enough to change into her gray eyed state, she was so weak and tired.
Kyosuke:
The vampire let out a sadistic smile again. "You know, the reason everybody in town is dead now is because of you," he said. "Isn't that great? Because you showed up and ran away to this town, everybody has died!" Kron closed in on the tired Yoshia, licking his fangs.
Taki:
Yoshia sobbed and tripped, her face turning just in time before hidding the floor. She cried out in pain and tried to drag herself towards the door. Her thoughts were clouded and her worst fear was about to defeat her.
Kyosuke:
Kron slowly stalked his prey and walked closer and closer to her. Then he crouched down and pounced, pinning the ninja to the ground. "You know, it's been really fun hunting you down," he said, licking her face. "And I think the longer I hunt you, the tastier your blood is going to be." The vampire withdrew his knife from his magical armguards.
Taki:
Yoshia sideglanced up at him and flinched when he licked her. Her life was replaying itself in her mind. Her first kimono... her father and mother... learning at school... her whole village. She remembered everything of her life back in the Ongoreth kingdom. Why hadn't she just stayed there, why wasn't it enough for her? Is this what she wanted? To end up dying at the torturous hands of her worst fear?
She felt sick again as she saw her defeat.
Kyosuke:
Kron's smile seemed to get even more vicous, if that was possible. "Don't worry," he whispered into her ear. "I've had enough to drink for today, the rest of the village's females in fact." He laughed as he plunged the knife lightly into the ninja's abdomen and then drew a crest on it. He sucks out some blood from it then stepped off of her, watching the cuts he just drew forming into almost a tattoo like mark on the ninja's abdomen. "Remember that I will now always know where you are," he said, laughing as he walked off.
Taki:
Yoshia choked and cried in pain as his dagger carved into her skin. He drank some of her blood. She felt poisoned.
"Remember that I will now always know where you are," he said, laughing as he walked off.Yoshia could only lay on the floor of a now dead man's house and cry, holding the crest he carved into her.
Kyosuke:
The vampire felt full. He had fed much more than he needed and wouldn't need to again for many days. He decided to leave Yoshia alone in the town of dead people. He would give her a few days to get away before he started chasing after her. 'Oh this will be an amusing hunt indeed.'
Taki:
Yoshia stared at the ceiling. She had rolled onto her back after crying. She felt empty and alone. Thoughts ran through her mind but none fully processed all the way. 'Should I go back to Ongoreth..? Am I safe there anymore? Could it danger my people and my kingdom..' she thought wearily to herself. 'If my ankle is well enough by tomorrow and if I focus, I could go after him.. I could take him on, I got away before. Im just as fast in gray state.' She told herself, her empty now blackish blue eyes still gazing into space.
Kyosuke:
Kron licked his lips, savoring the taste of the Ongoreth woman. 'Her blood was very tasty,' he thought to himself. 'Very tasty indeed, I cannot wait until I get a chance to taste her blood again.' The vampire laughed as he reached his cave, intending to go to sleep. He was able to go out in the daylight, but he found night more enjoyable to travel in.
Taki:
Yoshia smelled smoke. 'Oh no!!' she thought as she pushed herself up to sit. The flames of the burning town had caught fire to the room Demitrius' body lay in.
"Rest in peace, sad man." She whispered as she pushed herself to stand and quickly limped out of the house. "Where in the hell am I going to stay.. that bastard killed everything." She stared at the ground and shivered, wrapping her arms around herself. 'If he knows where I am, can he feel what I feel or what Im thinking too..' she thought, almost sickened at the thought.
Kyosuke:
Kron in fact, couldn't tell what she was thinking, not that she knew. However, he could tell her emotional state, and he could also make the crest feel like it was on fire. Yes, the sadistic vampire would definitely have fun with this woman for the next few days.
Taki:
Yoshia crumpled to the ground and broke into tears again. No matter where she decided to go, he would know. She couldn't hide anywhere! Was there any way to remove the crest? The ninja looked around and found a sharp gardening tool. She opened her kimono and lifted her ninja garb, there it was-the crest of Kron. She closed her eyes and carved into her skin a large 'X' over the crest, and for good measure scribbled it out-all the while wincing in pain. When she finished she threw the tool aside and shot a glance at the now desecrated village. It was all her fault...
She sat in the cold, her abdomen bleeding, and cried for a few more hours.
Kyosuke:
The vampire smirked, he could feel that she was in pain and guessed that she was probably attempting to get rid of the crest. Everybody he put the crest on to hunt tried it. He just hoped the girl didn't dig in too deeply with what she was using, he didn't want her to die prematurely after all. When the skin around her wound was healed, the crest he made would still be there, like a parasite that wouldn't go away.
In fact, to prove it, he decided to toy with the girl. He concentrated for a moment and made the crest glow red and it started burning into her skin. He continued it for about ten seconds, which she would feel an intense pain during.
Taki:
Yoshia shrieked into the night, pain surging from the wound the vampire had inflicted on her. The ongoreth ninja flopped onto her back and cried harder as the pain ceased. Her heart beat was faint and exhausted, she thought she was near heart attack. Her chest rose and fell with each breath. Her empty eyes looked to the sky as a breeze swept through and it started to rain.
"Why..why me?" She whispered to the night. Maybe he'll feel that.
Kyosuke:
Kron felt that she was experiencing desperation and pain. He felt her sorrow at having to go through all of this that women elsewhere didn't have to experience... yet. He knew that there was a good chance the girl was going to give up, and if that happened, it would amuse him greatly, though her body may also do the same. He had never had a chance to take an Ongoreth woman before, not since... that time, and he never did get to do it with her.
Taki:
After she had stopped feeling all emotions, her eyes changed empty and light gray-but not clouded. She wasn't in a fighting state, but she was stronger than her naive and clumsy state. She was empty. Kron had pushed her mental ability of emotions over the edge and to the point of emptiness. She may never be able to feel again, unless another trauma occured.
Yoshia pushed herself off the ground and made her way back into Ashgrown Forest, not looking back at the small town that was now burnt to the ground. She didn't even bother to look for survivors. She simply walked through the forest in a straight path.
Kyosuke:
The vampire blinked as he felt her presence moving. Also, the previous sense of pain and sorrow was no longer there, instead, it was just replaced by an emptiness. Kron smirked, 'It will prove most entertaining to follow her then, it really shall.' The vampire laughed, still planning on leaving her alone for a while and seeing what develops.
Taki:
Yoshia barely had a limp as she just kept walking through the forest. It was making her ankle worse and putting off healing. It shot pains that she couldn't feel through her leg.
Now it was near morning. The sun was starting to rise in the east and the birds were chirping, though it was still early. Yoshia could even see the edge of the forest up ahead where there was a big clearing. When she reached the end of Ashgrown she paused a moment to look at the land of head. Hills and valleys with grass and life and water for as far as she could see. There seemed to be a lake or pond or streem every half a mile. The ninja stepped into the morning light and started on her straight path again.
Kyosuke:
Kron saw the sun rising and decided to toy around a bit more before he went to sleep. He wanted to test exactly how... effective her state of emptiness was. He concentrated and once again made the crest on her stomach burn red hot. This time he stretched the time on for a minute and he wondered if this would cause any sort of emotional reaction within the girl. It would be like someone pressing a hot brand into her stomach for a minute.
Taki:
Yoshia closed her eyes. They were starting to cloud over and turn to a darker shade of gray, but not completely. She didn't want to waste energy, being so far away from Kron. She put her hand to her abdomen and concentrated on ice and the slight burning sensation she could feel through the emptiness stopped. Kron was still making it burn but she couldn't feel it anymore.
She continued walking and stopped by a stream to wash her clothes and wash herself of blood and sweat. She stripped her clothes off and weighted them with rocks after putting them in the water that was waist high. She left her sandals on the shore and stepped into the cool river and stayed under for a long moment. She submerged herself up to her neck incase anyone came along.
Kyosuke:
Kron smiled again. 'She doesn't react to it anymore,' he though, actually somewhat dissapointed. 'I must find out a way to get her to return to her normal panicky state, or hunting her will be no fun. There won't be any terrified screams, no crying when I torture her.' The vampire decided to sleep on it, closing his eyes and drifting off.
Taki:
Yoshia held onto a rock so she wouldnt float away as she rested in the cold water. Even if she wanted to get as far away as she could from Kron before he came after her again, she was so relaxed in the water. She had laid out her clothes to dry in the sun. No one was around so she got out and sunned herself dry and redressed herself.
The ninja looked back to the straight path she was walking. Her path would lead her over the next to hills. She needed to be in shape so she started to jog towards the hills. After a few hours the ninja got a few miles past the two hills she saw in the morning. It was now near noon and she still hadn't eaten since the day before. Yoshai saw an apple tree not far off her path and stole a few apples to hide in her clothes and then one for her to eat now. She continued at a walk on her path. She jogged all morning.
It was near mid afternoon when Yoshia was on top of a tall, grassy hill and spotted a town in the distance. The ninja stopped for water and made her way towards the town.
Kyosuke:
Kron woke up in the evening. He was going to give the ninja a few more days to run away, maybe that would restore her former mental state. He was still full from the feast he had at the town last night anyway, and if he really got hungry, he could start following and just start feasting upon the people in the town's she came across. He smiled sadistically again, he could make her regret entering any town every again.
Taki:
Yoshia wasn't very far away from the town now. She stopped dead in her tracks when she thought she heard sadistic laughter. She saw a flashback of the night before, from the time she had entered the house of Demitrius to the time she left the town, feeling empty and alone.
Yoshia made a hard left and walked straight in that direction for hours until it turned dark.
"Like hell, you're not getting another town so long as I live." She said coldly to no one.
Kyosuke:
Kron just lay back in his cave, he caught a wiff of a decaying smell and remembered that he forgot to dispose of the body of the girl he had tortured the day before. He just lifted it up and threw it out for the carrior eaters to feast upon. There would be many in the area, after all, a whole town was left to rot and though the women were sucked dry, the men still had all of their blood left in them, well, most of their blood at least, they did take stab wounds every once in a while.
Taki:
Now the ninja was on her third day of travel. Kron only tried to toy with her once or twice over the course and she wasnt so affected, becoming stronger and stronger. Though, her emotions were starting to try to crack through her stone heart. The journey was both strengthening and weakening her.
Near dusk on the third day Yoshia needed to sleep, even though the thought crossed her mind that she could get caught.. she was three days ahead of him and she hadn't sensed him near yet. Yoshia decided she needed sleep or she'd kill herself. The ninja found a quiet spot high up in a thick foliaged tree to sleep.
Kyosuke:
Kron had been feeling the ninja's emotions cracking for the last few days, a few more firm nudges would probably break her emotions wide open again, and the vampire decided that he would give those nudges, he stepped out from his cave and started strolling towards her location, which had stopped advancing. 'She should be able to walk a bit better now,' he thought 'but she has been walking for the last few days without resting it, so it may still hurt her.' Smirking, the vampire started his hunt.
Taki:
Though it was a small feat she was used to, climbing the tall tree was still somewhat of a challenge with her ankle still busted up. She should of rested it. She would of...under any under circumstances. This was life and death she was toying with. As she half slept, have listened she tryed to scry to see if she might be able to find his aura.
Kyosuke:
The vampire kept moving towards his prey, he idly pondered torching any town she passed through, but he decided against it. Nobody would notice a small town like Orndon being torched, but many small towns may start proving to be a noticeable feature. Besides, she may not find out, so he decided that if she was in a town when she found her, he would torch it then, or maybe just kill whoever was in the household that was caring for her.
Taki:
The ninja girl rested her head against the bark of the tree she was leaning against. She had been sitting there a few hours already and felt she only needed a bit longer to rest her ankle and body. She focused on metal and becoming the metal. She envisioned her body being hard as it could possibly be to prepare herself from wounds and injuries in battle.
Kyosuke:
A townsperson walked down the path that Yoshia was travelling down earlier, looking up at the sky, he passed under the tree that Yoshia was resting in and noticed the ninja. "Hey!" he called out to her. "You alright up there? Do you need someplace better to sleep?" he asked.
Taki:
Yoshia's eyes shot open. She glared down at the man shouting at her. She knew that if the vampire found this man he would kill him. She shouted down to him.
"Im fine, just go... and don't tell anyone you've seen me. Im not here, just a figment of your imagination. Just go." She stated calmly. The man shrugged and muttered that she was weird under his breath. He turned back towards the path and kept walking.
Kyosuke:
The vampire continued to walk along at a semi fast pace. He looked up as a drop of water fell on his nose, he smiled as rain started pouring down and wondered exactly how this would affect Yoshia's travel. He continued to walk at his hunting pace.
Taki:
As the rain started to fall, the ninja girl leaned her head back against the bark. A few drops fell on her, but she was protected from the rain for the most part. She had another flashback of the town in cinders and her alone on the ground, crying in the rain.
Kyosuke:
The vampire continued to travel. He did a few quick calculations in his head and figured out that it would take him about a day straight to reach where she was right now. She was travelling injured and her pace was much slower than the speed he was travelling at right now, he smiled as he decided on his next few actions when he did reach her.
Taki:
The ninja had dozed off and woke up late in the night, she guessed. The rain had stopped and her ankle felt a little better. She yawned and stretched. 'Should I continue on?' She thought to herself looking through the foliage of the tree to see that there was a dark forest ahead.
Kyosuke:
Kron continued to chase after the ninja girl, plotting what he would do when he caught her. He would definitely have to figure out how to get her emotions back, so maybe he would just stalk her for a few more days and figure out whether she would regain them or if he needed to do something to trigger the return. It would be no fun slicing her open if she didn't really react to it.
Taki:
Yoshia had gotten up at day break and started to travel again, going at a light jog towards the mountains she saw miles away. The ninja was planning to get over the mountains to see where the hell she was and then go from there. She tried to avoid towns and people, too afraid to be the cause of another town's destruction again. The whole night would forever be burned into her memory.
After 4 days of mostly jogging, half hour stops at lakes and rivers every other day, and light rest, Yoshia finally reached the base of the mountains. It was a large chain that stretched into the horizons on both her left and right. 'First goal accomplished..' she thought as she started walking up the base, determined to reach atleast three quarters of the way up before nightfall. It was a rather large mountain and it symbolized her strength and her determination as she climbed the elevation.
Kyosuke:
Kron had caught up to the ninja a long time ago, and seeing that he didn't really give off an aura, and he could be fairly good at sneaking around when he wanted to, the ninja didn't sense him following her. Of course, when he saw the ninja reach the mountain that she was obviously determined to climb, he decided to interupt her, figuring that it would be difficult to hide his presence on open rock.
"Trying to climb a mountain with an injured ankle hmm?" he spoke up from his place on the branches of a tree. "You must be tired, you've been mostly moving for the last few days, and you haven't even taken your time resting when you do. Plus that ankle of yours must hurt really badly." The vampire jumped off the branch and landed lightly.
Taki:
Yoshia twitched slightly when she heard his vile voice. She turned only enough to sideglance him.
"My ankle is fine, no thanks to you." she spoke coldly to him, her voice like small daggers of ice. "I can take care of myself, vampire-and I wouldn't think that Im bluffing if I were you." She clenched her fists at her sides and continued up the mountain. If he came at her, she would be able to jump from a higher elevation to a lower elevation.
Kyosuke:
Kron's smile grew larger. "Is it now?" he asked, and dashed at her with his vampiric speed, aiming to grab the girl's ankle and pull her down to him. However, he saw her leap down and turned around to make another grab at her while she was in midair.
Taki:
The gray-eyed ninja saw the world around her go into slow motion. She could see his hand, even at his demon speeds, moving towards her ankle. The ninja gracefully shifted her body in midair so she grabbed his wrist and violently twisted it with new strength. She heard a loud CRACK and let go before she landed and tumbled out of his way when he tried to come after her again.
"What did I say about judging my bluff, you ugly beast." she sneered.
Kyosuke:
The vampire's wrist hung loosely, he just smiled. "Feisty aren't you?" he said. "I see you are getting some emotions back then, but not the ones that would amuse me the most." He took a moment of concentration to make her crest burn and once she did whatever it was to stop the burning, he would tackle her and pin her to the ground.
Taki:
Yoshia stared at him coldly and grimmaced as she felt the burn. She kept a straight face for the most part as she swiftly removed her kimono and was only in her ninja garb. She kneeled low to the ground and never took her eyes off of him as she pictured herself in ice cold weather. The burning ceased slightly while she pictured him burning in hell. The ninja held her abdoment as she shifted all her weight onto her sprained ankle and her free hand to knock him over with a tripping blow from her other leg.
Kyosuke:
Kron saw the move coming, such a big motion would be easily seen by anyone, and she was trying to do it on an injured ankle so it was doubly telegraphed. He just braced for impact and took the sweep, stopping her motion with his leg and tackled her down to the ground. (OOC: I really have taken a sweep kick like that before without falling, hehe)
Taki:
ooc: that's cause you're freakin invincible
ic:
Yoshia gasped and faultered as she watched the tables turn on her. He hadn't been affected by her kick and he was now on top of her. Her heard skipped a beat, actually touching her worst fear and fighting it was one thing but to have her worst fear on top of her sent chills through her spine and shot a painful memory at her. She was paralyzed and could see her death, long and tortorous.
Kyosuke:
Kron's smile grew wider as he felt the fear build up inside of the girl, he would slowly make it grow until it shattered the shell she had over her emotions. 'The shell must have been weakened by her days without rest,' he thought. Then he looked down at the girl he had pinned and smirked, he would have fun with this one until she cried for help.
Taki:
Yoshia couldn't move, crippled by her worst fear. Her limbs refused her and her eyes betrayed her, shining with emotions of all sorts that hadn't yet broken free from the stone around her heart. The ninja could only twitch her fingers. There didn't seem to be a thing she knew that she could do.
Kyosuke:
The vampire headbutted the ninja under him, he wanted to knock her out so he could lock her up. It would make it easier to have his... fun with her once his hands and legs were free. If she wasn't knocked out by the first headbutt, he kept headbutting her until she was, and through the crest he would be able to tell whether she was feigning unconsciousness.
Taki:
Yoshia regained her self concious when the first blow came. The vampire repeatedly was smashing his face into hers and she didn't know what she could do besides struggle, which leads to obvious defeat in most cases such as this. The girl's eyes widened as an idea struck. She freed one of her hands from his grip as his head was coming down at her again. She quickly grabbed his chin and tilted his head just as his face would of smashed into hers again, causing more blood to sproud from her nose and mouth and her face to be more bruised. She stopped him with a kiss.
Kyosuke:
Kron hesitated for a moment as a memory resurfaced, but he ignored it and smirked. "Nice try," he said and then slammed his forehead into her head again, still trying to knock her out, nobody could take too much more of that kind of treatment.
Taki:
Yoshia cursed to herself, her distraction hadn't worked-he hadn't hesitated long enough for her to kick him off of her. She was starting to get dizzy and felt like she was going to black out soon. In a state of being half alive between headbutts and half passed out, she started to see a dream of a wedding day with all her family and friends and a husband-to-be she couldn't see the face of. It was strange, there was also people she killed there or people that died protecting her etcetera. But she wasn't there.
"Nng.. N-NO!" She screamed and her eyes clouded over to dark gray again, her strength returning. She broke her other arm free and pushed him off of her, rolling out from under him and running up the mountain.
Kyosuke:
Kron remembered his broken wrist from earlier and twisted it back in place with a sickening crack. The bone mended itself quickly, the healing being a trait of his species. He made a dash after the ninja girl and grabbed at the back collar of her clothing, and not caring if it ripped or dragged her down to him, yanked.
Taki:
Yoshia let out a scream as she felt her collar rip slightly as she was tugged back with such force that she was rocketed into his chest and knocked him to the ground. She was on her back again, but he was below her now. She reached her hand behind her and prayed she had good blind aim and poked at his eyes with two slender fingers with definite jabs, missing his eyes and jabbing on his cheek bones. 'Damn!' she cursed to herself.
Kyosuke:
Kron smiled and grabbed the girl's hands. He wrapped his legs around hers and pinned her to him with him under her. He ran his tongue over her neck, savoring the taste of the Ongoreth woman. Then he ran a single fang over it. "You would like it if I ended it for you now wouldn't you?" he asked.
Taki:
The ninja girl growled as he held her to him. She made small futile struggles with her arms and legs. She tried to bite his arm but she couldn't reach. Yoshia swiftly catapulted her head back into his face, payback for how her face looked now-disheveled, bloody, bruised, and beaten.
"Not a chance, bastard!" She shouted and shot her head back again, moving her arms fiercly.
Kyosuke:
Kron shook the blow off and whispered in her ear. "Yes, you really are a feisty one aren't you?" He rolled over and pinned the girl under him wrenching both of her arms up towards the small of her back to the point it became painful for her and also so that she could no longer move them with much power.
Taki:
Yoshia tried her best to keep a calm breath. She knew he wanted the satisfaction of her tears and anguish, which she wasn't about to give him. Her chest rose and fell faster as she closed her eyes to wait for the pain from her arms to subside. When it did she looked up at the vile beast pinning her twice in the same battle and spit in his face.
"What the hell do you want with me anyway! What the hell did I do to you to deserve this, Im not like those weak women you feasted on-they didn't fight this long did they. If I was them you would of killed me back in your cave when you first revealed yourself to me, in which you made your first mistake. You showed the ace up your sleeve far too early in the game, you should of waited if you wanted me to feel, really feel the pain of betrayal. You don't know betrayal you vile scum." She shouted at him on the mountain, the breeze blowing her black and red locks to the east.
Kyosuke:
The vampire slipped the shackles out of his magical forearm bracers and slapped them around one of her wrists and worked on hog tying her arms together. "Well, it's because you ARE able to fight back that makes it so very much amusing. Your blood will taste so much better than theirs because it was so much funner of a hunt to get you." Kron smirked viciously.
Taki:
Yoshia suddenly felt like she couldn't breathe when he bound her arms together in shackles. Her chest felt like it was collapsing in on her. She gasped in a panic and looked around frantically, choking on her words.
"H-h..help! I c-can't brea-breathe!!" She gasped and squirmed under him.
Kyosuke:
The vampire took out another set of shackles and chained Yoshia's legs together before rolling her onto her back, the chains digging into her spine. "You should be able to breathe fine now," he said. "Of course, your back will definitely hurt later." He bent down and admired her work. He thought for a second. "Not that it'll matter later," he added.
Taki:
Once again, the girl was on her back-and now in chains. The rusty old shackles dug into her spine and she thought it would snap in half. She went through great struggles to keep her back off of the chains as much as possible, arching her back and pushing off the ground. Pain was surging through her and her will was cracking.
Kyosuke:
Kron grinned and grabbed Yoshia's top and ripped it open, admiring the view. "Ah, I haven't even had the chance to touch an Ongoreth woman in so long," he said. "It was such a great opportunity for you to stumble so near the town, well for me at least."
Taki:
Yoshia shrieked and immidiately tried to roll over onto her stomach to try and cover up best she could. The nearest town was atleast near a half a mile away. 'Shit!' she thought frantically. 'No one is going to be around to hear me..'
"HELP! KILLER RAPIST VAMPIRE! HELP PLEASE!!! HEELP!!" She cried as loud as she could anyway.
Kyosuke:
The vampire smirked and tore off a large piece of his cloak, wadded it up, and stuffed it into the screaming ninja's mouth to silence her. He then proceeded to have his way with here, with a vicious smirk on the whole time and trying to inflict as much pain on her as possible with each action he took, however, he did avoid doing things that would end up completely scarring to her, who knows, maybe he'd find amusement with her again.
Taki:
Yoshia's screams were muffled and her attempts at escape, futile. As he raped her he shot pains through her whole body and she started to sob. A quick image of a young girl in the woods late at night facing the same fate minus the chains flashed in her mind. 'Im playing that little girl all over again..' she cried and prayed that someone somewhere would help her out of this horrible situation.
Kyosuke:
Kron smirked as the ninja's emotional shell shattered. After a few more rounds with her, he just picked up and unshackled the girl, deciding that she was a very amusing prey indeed. He would let her leave and see how she would continue living. Maybe he would even pick up her broken pieces and attempt to befriend her so he could use her for a few purposes.
Taki:
The stone around Yoshai's heart shattered into a million pieces. She felt so much bottled up emotion that she felt like she was going to die-just explode right below him. She lay there, exposed and used, sobing to no end.
Kyosuke:
Kron just sat in a tree not too far away from the sobbing Yoshia. He disguised his presence from her and just watched her, waiting to see what she would do next. He was smiling, having enjoyed his time with the ninja.
Taki:
'Twice..' she thought to herself as she layed on the mountain. 'Im so....weak...' The ninja's eyes were changing back to green. She snatched up her kimono and donned it quickly, wrapping it tightly around her. Yoshia's hatred and fear of vampires grew stronger. She dashed up the mountain as fast as she could, having to hurdle her body because she was in a weak state again and it hurt her. She tripped over several rocks on the way up. Once she reached the top though, she saw the most beautiful sight. 'H-home!' she thought happily and hurdled herself down the mountain. The kingdom was still a while away from the base of the mountain but she didn't care, she'd sprint the whole way if she had to. On her way, the ninja prayed that if and when the vampire followed her that her people would be safe from his harm. 'Please..' she begged in prayer.
Kyosuke:
Kron walked around the mountain, taking the long way. He didn't have to worry much about the ninja getting too far ahead of him. She was climbing with a disturbed mind as well as the injury, though she did make an amazing time up it. He wondered if she would throw herself to her death when she got to the top and almost sighed in relief when he sensed her presence moving down the mountain. It would be a waste of tasty blood if she had thrown herself off. He didn't want to suck it off the ground after all, and blood tasted best fresh.
Taki:
Yoshia had entered her homeland, Ongoreth, the day before and slept the night in a cave she used to play in when she was younger. It was her secret hide away that only she knew about. It still had supplies of a fort from when she was little, though the snacks were far past stale. Now he knew where it was too..
The ninja had wrapped herself in her childhood blanket and slept on the old matress she had dragged here when she was 8 and ran away from home for two days. She had lived on her snacks alone. She laughed at the memory as she was sitting there.
Now the girl was making her way to the city closest to the mountains, Armara.
OOC: ready to move the thread..?
Kyosuke:
Kron watched Yoshia for the next few days, deciding not to hunt her so her screams would be more sweet to his ears the next time he encountered her. He itched to do something when she boarded the ship, there was really nowhere she could run, but decided against it. However, he did get hungry, the feast he had at Orndon finally running through. He fed on a woman that was riding on the ship, he also cut off the head, a souvenir to show the ninja girl that as long as she ran from him, people would die because of her.
He now sat over the cave she was hiding in, he would hunt her again in the morning, deciding to start it as soon as she stepped foot out of the cave by dropping the severed head in front of her.
