"Don't amuse me, woman. It strengthens my thirst for your blood," Vlad growled, a cold, full-throated sound. He cast a quick inventory of his own power, and withheld a frown. He was not prepared for a battle with Shea. He was hungry. "And for your body," he added, slowly. His eyes sought hers and held them, dark and sparkling like shards of garnet. He needed time. He'd never planned to meet her here, or he'd have made picking off guards and raising his strength his first priority.

Shea glanced at him for a moment, her smile only growing. She walked casually towards him, brushing her hand gently across his pale cheek. "Oh... Lord Dracul... how utterly.... unbelievable." Suddenly her hand went downward and wrapped around his throat, her nails growing longer and cutting into his skin. She lifted him off the ground to where his form was about a foot from the floor.
Tilting her head for a moment she examined him. "I was trying to be polite and patient. I really was planning on making you a powerful general among my men. I really was planning on setting you both free." With what seemed to be no effort at all she moved her arm to the left and sent him sailing to land roughly on the bed of furs.
"I have fought you once before, or do you not remember. I know well your tricks, for I have seen them through the eyes of your..." Shea paused for a moment and chuckled lightly. "What is she to you anyway? I don't think she even knows. Is she a conquest... a woman you hope to conquer one day? Is she someone you want? Is she someone you love? Tell me, I'm intrigued..."
She walked slowly to the bed, kneeling down next to him. "Would you take her body before I killed her? Share one last moment of happiness before I ring the life from her body? Kiss and ravage her before I bathe you in her blood?" Shea pressed against him, though she knew he could easily push her light form off. She leaned over him, looking him deep into his blood colored eyes. Her tone was serious and she hoped he understood she meant every word.

"You can't have me," Vlad sneered, his voice rasping in reaction to the force she'd exerted on his throat. He turned on the furs and smirked straight into her eyes. "You can't ever have me, no matter how much charm you put on, no matter what offers or threats you make, and you just don't get it. I wouldn't fuck you to save the earth. It drives you crazy. Any man in the world would swoon into your arms, but not me. The one you can never have," he breathed into her face. "And you'd love to hear me say how much I love that girl, because it would explain everything, wouldn't it? I'm too in love to notice you.
"But monogomy's not necessarily my style, and I never claimed to love that girl. The whole mystery's lying right under your nose, but you can't solve it. And you know as well as I do - kill her now, and you will never solve the puzzle. So, you sit here making fancy threats about her death. You want to know if they scare me." Vlad leaned close into her face and mouthed the words slowly, a grin seeping into them, "I'm. Not. Telling." He fell back onto the bed and crossed his arms behind his head, raising his eyebrows expectantly for her response.

Shea sat there for a moment, seemingly calm. Then suddenly she growled, her voice altering demonicly as she did so. "You aggitate me, vampire," she growled, her hands fisting at her sides for a moment.
"It doesn't matter whether I want to kill her or not. Without medical attention she'll probably die by the morning. I was a little harsh on her," Shea growled.
"It will be alright though, for you'll be the first to go." Shea waved her hand and the force of her power sent Vlad flying across the room and tearing through the walls of the tent to land on the hard cold dirt outside. Shea was soon behind him. She kicked him in the ribs, the force of that actually standing Vlad back on his feet.

Vlad fought the urge to cough at the sensation of one of his ribs digging into his lung. Don't need to breathe. Don't need to cough. Some human reflexes died hard. Maybe a few hundred more years, and he'd be used to it. But coughing now showed weakness, and that was one thing he couldn't afford.
He sneered at Shea, his blood boiling with the thrill of battle. He could feel her power in his blood, his adrenaline climbing with anticipation. He regained his footing and teleported behind her, his long nails spiking out into daggers as he moved to drive them into her back.

She drove her elbow backwards into his gut, spining quickly she lifted a foot and plowed it into his chest. Shoving him backwards she through her hand towards him, a puple and black ball of energy flying in his direction.
"You'll have to move faster than that to get me, boy," she muttered, her eyes glowing pure gold.

Vlad doubled back, raking his nails against her leg in a row of sharp gashes as she returned from her kick. He glared at her, working at strategy. If he used his magic now, he would have none to rely on later. Worse, he'd only get slower, and hungrier. He couldn't afford it. It was hand to hand against the witch queen, and he wouldn't win. He knew it already, but if he teleported away, she would invariably have Tenele killed. And at this rate, he'd end up losing blood anyway.
He narrowed his eyes. "Unlocking level A powers," he murmured the words like a mantra, feeling a surge of fresh power jump into him. The power filled his eyes and took away a layer of the humanity that still disguised him. He seemed suddenly more monster than man, cackling in a low, psychotic voice. "Come and play, Witch Queen," he sneered, and as he spoke his voice seemed to split into a thousand higher ones. Vlad's form dissolved before her, splitting like a web and then melting into a new shape. Thousands of bats surrounded her, swirling overhead like the devil's whirlwind. An occasional fang or wing would swoop too close, taking a snatch of hair or skin with it.

Shea spun in circles following the bats. "Finally, something entertaining!" she called out over the sound of the bat wings. She lifted her arms, dancing in a circle as the bats flew around her. She put a hand to her mouth and spun even faster. As if she were blowing a kiss she lowered her hand and flames shot forth from her throat, flowing into the sky. The flames spread out around her, creating a sheild momentarily.
Then she slapped her hands to her sides and a wave of energy flowed out around her, sending the bats out of reach. "Oh... if that is level A... I wonder what B is?"

Vlad bore the heat of her flames, each bat screaming until the sound grew to a deafening wall of noise. And then suddenly the bats all disintegrated, and what surrounded Shea was a dark mist. A mist that suddenly dove into her, sliding down her throat into her lungs, her nose, her ears, filling her whole body. You wanted me inside you, his dark voice seemed to roar in her mind. Here I am. Getting excited?

Shea doubled over, her claws clutting into her own skin for a moment. She blinked rapidly, unable to think of a sarcastic reply at the moment. She hit her knees, digging at her own throat to try and pull the mist out. She was unable to breath... unable to hear. Everything was dark. She fell even more forward, dugging her fingers into the dirt.

Shea gritted her teeth. He must knew that if he made her unconcious it would mean that the sun would rise. If he left her out in the open....
There is a cave at the edge of the camp. She is there. Shea would rather indure pain than tell Vlad anything, however death was not an option she was willing to consider.

Vlad would have smiled, had he had a face. Excellent, he said, but the edge of the word turned sour, as if suddenly exposed to something noxious. Crap, he was burning too much blood. The vampire rushed out of her body, condensing foggily back into his normal form. As soon as his body formed, it sank to its knees. The vampire curled forward, pressing his arms across his stomach with his fist tightly clenched. His whole body felt like it was burning from the inside out. He needed to feed, now. He lifted his gaze shakily to where Shea was probably recovering in front of him. His eyes were empty, cold, but it was too late to hide his weakness. The thought of teleporting made his teeth hurt. He just had to get to the damned cave. Closing his eyes, he disappeared from her sight. He reappeared at the edge of the camp Shea had indicated. His vision swam as he peered out and spotted the cave she'd spoken of. The entrance was guarded. Shea would be coming. This would not be easy.
